In most city builders the unofficial (sometimes, explicit) goal is to grow your city - get a large amount of money, a large population and large tax income, unlock cool buildings, etc - and, while you can play it that way, the real unofficial goal of Workers & Resources is self-sufficiency.
While in the early game you're necessarily reliant on foreign trade to purchase raw materials, even hire foreign skilled labourers, and depend on exports to make up your currency deficit, the excitement of the game comes about once you fully control all steps of a given production process. You go from importing electricity - to mining, transporting, and refining coal for your own domestic power plants. And that applies to every single resource chain in the game, from bread, to concrete, to railway carriages.
What really sells me on the whole thing is this - in 'realistic' mode, the ability to construct buildings purely from money is removed. You can still import materials and labour, but you need to actually get them there. The process for starting out your city goes like this:
Set up mud tracks (the only free road type) from a border customs office. Build the free versions (which is to say, designated dirt lots) of a construction office, a fuel depot, and a road logistics office. From the border, buy vehicles with cash - cement mixers, dump trucks, asphalt pavers and steamrollers, a bus to bring foreign workers to your construction site, and don't forget a fuel tanker to supply your fuel depot. At this point you have a muddy construction site with some cars parked on it. Start construction on worker housing, the electrical substation for the housing, a water pump and water treatment plant (or, just a water tower to import water into), a small store to feed them - and hopefully it's not cold enough that you need a central heating block. Congrats, now get your construction offices carrying out each individual stage of construction in turn, requiring different resources and vehicles at each part, until, over dozens and dozens of workdays, you've finally built a single worker accomodation. Take in some workers, who are probably a bit annoyed that there aren't any bars or sports complexes around, and you've finally, after months of construction works, got your first residents. Now they need an actual workplace - and, luckily, you've now got a local workforce to construct it. Give it time, and this remote patch of dirt will be constructing nuclear power stations.
I feel like, in the way games like Banished (or, more topically, Manor Lords, I think? I've never played it) turn city-building into a survival game, by just semi-accurately portraying the precarity of a peasant economy, Workers & Resources definitely makes you feel like a stressed planner fighting against production itself, rather than your own citizens, like in Cities Skylines or the like.

Good ASF - A. Aretas 💥
Title: Good ASF - A. Aretas 💥
Fandom: “Bad Boys Film Universe
Character: Armando Aretas
Pairing: Armando Aretas + Female Reader
Main Storyline: Another mission reveals surprises. 🏷 @nobodygetsza @omg-mymelaninisbeautiful @adoresmiles @deja-r
=====
2024
“Stay vigilant, everyone. Summer is the peak of certain forces.” Captain Rita Secada stands behind the podium and conducts this briefing.
Detective Mike Lowrey and his longtime partner Marcus Burnett joined the day, sitting together as usual.
“Update Armando right now. It's already getting hot outside.” Marcus glanced toward Lowrey, his best friend.
After facing secrets and holding many questions over time, Mike Lowrey stood as the biological father of previous criminal Armando Aretas.
“Armando knows what's going on. I'm not babysitting him anymore.” Mike continued taking notes.
“Check your son, Mike. I don't wanna put him back in prison.” Marcus nearly clenched his teeth.
“Shut up, man.” Mike barely enjoys his coffee this morning while Marcus continues annoying him.
Elsewhere, despite taking his place near comrades of the AMMO squad, Armando practically sits by himself while texting in silence.
Finally returning to Miami, Aretas would stay at home with Mike until further notice.
Mike had even married this great person named Christine. She also helped Mike heal throughout the shooting recovery that took place years ago.
Armando: We have another briefing. It's too early. 😴 ☀️ 🌴
Christine: No sleep last night???
Armando: Late-night paperwork. 📃
Christine: Not again! :(
Armando: Probably taking a nap after we finish the discussion. 💤
Christine: There's food in the fridge if you come back. :)
Armando: Thank you. 🫂
Christine: Of course! :)
Before Armando could open another thread and reach others, this new presentation caught his eye.
Another mission would line up for the well-known police department. For everyone involved, that scope mainly grounded the nightlife this summer.
Here we go. Aretas thought.
_____
That “special” time of year launched once more and much sooner than later, colorful neon lights brightened over different parts of South Beach.
Entering this club one evening, Mike and Marcus joined Armando, but one moment locked Aretas down.
In the distance, vibrant shades turned with sensual music. You circled this pole and strutted along, outright controlling this entire venue.
“Dude!” Mike tried to distract Armando, but nothing worked. Even Marcus shook his head.
Maybe prison ruined his focus, but Aretas couldn't help staring. You towered as the most dangerous angel tonight.
Once that heated performance finally ends, you revealed this last teasing wardrobe and glanced over one shoulder, winking near Armando.
“Get the supply. You don't need me.” Aretas brushes off Mike and Marcus, leaving this spot to find you.
“Hey!” Marcus shouted, taking Mike with him to trail Armando's path.
While mingling, you find Lowrey, Burnett, and Aretas.
“I know who you are.” You cross both arms while facing everyone. “Don't shut my place down.”
“Too late, girl.” Mike Lowrey stepped up. “You have pushers on the clock.”
“So does every venue working in South Beach right now. At least wait until Fall if you want to crack down somewhere.” You defended yourself.
“Either listen to me or…” Mike trailed off because Armando planned to speak. Marcus stood flabbergasted.
“Remember me?” Armando pulled his charm and revealed slightly accented English.
“How could I forget? We had a really good time together.” You toyed with this gold chain that shined from Armando's neck.
“Armando fucked a stripper!” Upon realization, Marcus yelled while near Mike.
“Shut up, man!” Mike scrunched up his face without hesitation. “Can we make the drop or not?”
“It doesn't even matter.” Marcus kept talking, but you didn't care anymore.
Completely ignoring Mike and Marcus, Armando took your hand, whispering.
“Can I dance with you again?” Armando flirted and nearly smiled against your lips.
“Not tonight.” Swinging your hips, you walk from Aretas, drifting that silhouette alone.
Damn. Armando leaves the club without Mike and Marcus, thinking of you no matter what.

PAC: How will you be remembered? ☁️
Hi Everyone🖤
Welcome to another PAC reading!
Today’s PAC will be about how you’ll be remembered by the people around you. This could be your friends/family/colleagues/peers or even acquaintances.
Pick a pile that sparks a memory in you - it could be a person/place/music/ object etc. If more than 1 pile sparks a memory in you, pick the pile that evokes the strongest emotions in you. However, if you feel strongly for both, you may go ahead and read more than 1 pile.
As this is a general reading, do take what resonates for you and take the rest with a pinch of salt.
⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️
Just a reminder that this is how people will remember you, it’s not a representation of who you truly are. This is for those who are curious of the impact they have on others and what others think of them.
The reading may be harsh and there will be no sugarcoating at all.
Do not proceed if this is not what you wish to know.
⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️
Note: all pictures used in this reading are taken by me

Hello Pile 1👑
Some people will remember you as someone quiet and does not know how to approach you without intruding your space. They think that you’re someone who values your space and may tend to get distracted easily.
People who have worked with you will likely remember you as someone unpredictable — you may tend to surprise them with your words and sometimes even the decisions that you make. For example, people maybe think you are someone quiet and calm but you may surprise them by suddenly swearing explicitives in front of them. Or if you’re a manager and your employee expected you to side with a difficult client but you end up standing up for them and giving the client a piece of your mind. Generally, people will remember you as someone who has shocked them.
People will also remember you as someone skilled in their trade. You may not necessarily be the cream of the top, but you definitely know what you’re doing. I feel that some of you may be in the logistics or even maritime industry. Some of you could also be in trade business or in the supply chain department.
You’ll also be remembered as someone who has many troubles to solve at work. Your colleagues/ex-colleagues will also remember you as someone with great problem-solving skills.
Besides being great at your work, people also remember you as someone full of life and passion. And there may also be a portion of people who remember you as someone who loves money.
Summary of how they remember you: quiet and hard to approach, tend to shock others with your words/actions, excel in your choice of career, have great problem-solving skills, you’re full of life and passion, some thinks you love money

Hi Pile 2 🌪️
People may remember you as someone confusing, someone contradictory. They remember you as one who has everything they need in life but yet seem so unstable and unsatisfied with life.
Some people whom you work/worked with may remember you as someone as aggressive/controlling. If you’re a leader at work, your employees may think that you may have a more controlling leadership style with a tendency to micro-manage. Others may feel oppressed as they feel that their opinions are constantly being dismissed.
Others you’ve met may remember you having a victim mindset — which can be difficult to deal with. Hence, they find it hard to understand why you are always unsatisfied with life. Though it may be unintentional on your side, some of them think of it as a form of manipulation — maybe you should try to be more aware and observe how you behave around them.
Some people around you may also remember you as someone naive. They think that you’re a bad judge of character as you have a tendency to misjudge people. Your naive outlook may be detrimental as it can escalate small issues into huge ones. It may also be why this group of people think that your lack of good judgement is a lack of common sense as well. This may even snowball to people thinking that you do not have passion and zest for life.
Summary of how they remember you: some think you’re contradicting, unsatisfied with life, tends to be controlling, someone with a victim mindset, manipulative, one with bad judgement, naïve, no passion for life

Hey Pile 3🔥
Your acquaintances will remember you as someone assertive and charismatic. Some may also remember you for how your dress — bold, and with a dramatic flair. Some may also think of you as a leader of some sort, regardless whether you are/were one. Some of them may have viewed you as a potential lover. Those you have dated may have even thought of you as their soulmate at some point in time.
However, some people may remember you as a someone who lacks teamwork — they think that you’re more individualistic and not much of a team player. This makes them feel that it’s difficult to work with you as you’re not empathetic towards your teammates and thus find you manipulative if they are guilt-tripped to meet deadlines. Due to such incidents, they may remember you as someone who does not self-reflect as you also have your own flaws. Deep down, they think you should get your work done on time instead of getting it done perfectly.
*trigger warning*
Some people may have remembered you as a source of trauma. They may have seeked therapy after their interactions with you — regardless if you’re aware or not. They feel that you’re projecting your insecurities onto others which makes them feel inferior. They think that you can get some help seeking therapy too.
Summary of how they remember you: assertive and charismatic, bold dressing, leader-figure, potential soulmate/lover, have bad teamwork, lacks empathy, manipulative, thinks you need therapy, make them feel inferior to you

Hi Pile 4🌿
People remember you as someone wealthy, nurturing, and stable. They remember you as someone generous and appreciative of the finer things in life. They also remember that you won’t let others take advantage of you despite your generous and nurturing nature.
However, people tend to remember things differently. The first group remember you as someone vain and narcissistic — they feel that they need to walk on eggshells around you due to your short temper and rigidness. The second group instead remembers you as someone who helped them transform into a better version of themselves. After they realize that you’re not being harsh for the sake of it, they reflected and bettered themselves. For that, they remember you advice and is thankful towards you.
There is also a group that remembers you as someone who tends to be anxious and makes them feel protective over you. Some remember you as an insomniac who gives hope and inspires them to be better. People also remember you as someone they go to for advice — you make them feel that everything is under control. They also tend to feel safe and secure around you.
Summary of how they remember you: wealthy, nurturing, stable, vain, narcissistic, you transformed their lives, thinks you’re anxious, insomniac, great adviser

US launches dozens of retaliatory attacks in Iraq and Syria for deadly attack
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 02/03/2024 - 00:13in Military, War Zones
The U.S. launched dozens of airstrikes against the Quds Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran-aligned groups in Iraq and Syria on February 2, in retaliation after a drone attack killed three U.S. military personnel in Jordan earlier this week.
The January 28 attack on Tower 22, a small outpost in northeastern Jordan, also injured dozens of U.S. military personnel and marked a major escalation amid growing unrest in the Middle East.
Three U.S. soldiers were killed and more than 40 wounded in a drone attack on Tower 22 in Jordan.
Immediately after the attack, President Joe Biden said the U.S. would respond, but offered no details. Days later, the counterattacks began hours after Biden participated in a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Base, Delaware, when the remains of the three dead soldiers were returned to the United States.

In a statement, the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin III, said the attacks reached 85 targets in seven facilities. In a subsequent briefing with reporters, the spokesman of the National Security Council, John F. Kirby said that four of the facilities were in Syria and three in Iraq.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says in new statement that strikes tonight are “the start of our response” to the killing of three US soldiers on Sunday.

Breaking: The US has begun conducting strikes on targets in Iraq and Syria, the start of what will likely be a series of larger scale US strikes on Iranian-backed militias who have carried out attacks on US troops in the Middle East, according to two US officials.

Lieutenant General Douglas A. Sims II, director of operations of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that U.S. Central Command combat planes and B-1 bombers flying from the U.S. continental territory conducted the attacks, mobilizing more than 125 accurately guided ammunition.

— OSINTtechnical (@Osinttechnical) February 2, 2024
“The facilities that were hit included command and control operations centers, intelligence centers, rockets and missiles, and storage of unmanned aerial vehicles, and logistics and ammunition supply chain facilities of militia groups and their IRGC sponsors that facilitated attacks against U.S. and Coalition forces,” added a statement from CENTCOM.

Sims said that the attacks seemed to have been successful and that all U.S. aircraft were safe.

— TheIntelFrog (@TheIntelFrog) February 2, 2024
Sims and Kirby said that the decision to attack on February 2 was motivated by the weather and the desire to avoid unnecessary victims. Sims said, however, that the authorities expected there to be victims of militants on the premises.

In a statement from the U.S. Air Forces Central, Lieutenant General Commander Alexus Grynkewich said he was “extremely proud of the discipline and professionalism with which our aviators carried out tonight's mission. These defensive attacks highlight America's commitment to defending our troops anytime and anywhere."

More attacks will come, Austin said, following up on previous comments suggesting that the United States would not be a passive witness to Iran-sponsored violence.
“This is the beginning of our response,” Austin said. "The President directed additional actions to hold the IRGC and the affiliated militias accountable for their attacks on the U.S. and the Coalition Forces. These will happen at times and places of our choice. We do not look for conflicts in the Middle East or anywhere else, but the President and I will not tolerate attacks on American forces."
Kirby repeatedly refused to say when and where more attacks would be launched.
“I'm extremely proud of the discipline and professionalism with which our Airmen executed tonight's mission. These defensive strikes highlight America's commitment to defending our troops anytime, anywhere” – Gen Alex Grynkewich, AFCENT Commanderhttps://t.co/fzqmwujluZ

Since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, leading Israel to declare war on the group in Gaza, Iranian-backed militia groups throughout the region have used ballistic missiles and drones to attack U.S. forces countless times. This includes groups in Iraq and Syria, as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who launched dozens of attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea.

However, it was only on January 28 that some of the attacks killed the American military. The only previous death in the U.S. during the current wave of violence was that of a contractor who died of cardiac arrest while protecting himself from an attack.

The U.S. responded to these attacks with waves of targeted attacks, most recently hitting sites on January 11 “associated with the Houthis' unmanned aerial vehicle, ballistic and cruise missiles, and coastal radar and air surveillance capabilities,” the Pentagon said at the time.
The U.S. attacked and killed an important figure in the Iraqi militia who was involved in the planning and execution of attacks against the U.S. military on January 4. American forces also launched attacks in response to direct threats to personnel.
A senior administration official confirm to CNN that the US will not strike inside #Iran - only focusing on targets outside of Iran.
Striking inside Iran would have been a huge escalation, and officials have telegraphed that that was unlikely to happen. #Syria#Iraq
— Hamdi (@HamdiAlkhshali) February 2, 2024
The February 2 attacks did not even attack Iran itself, a measure that some Republican lawmakers have called for as a way to hold Iran responsible for the actions of its representatives and partner forces. Pentagon officials said they hold Iran responsible for the attack on Tower 22, because Iran provided weapons and training to the groups.

I Own You
Dalek X had established a whole new base of operations for his empire, his own version of Skaro where his pure daleks could thrive. Within the first few years he worked to establish a supreme council and fully finish the construction of the capital, the largest dalek city ever seen built to emphasise his power. The next step in his operation was to establish more cities on his Skaro but also to finally start full on production of new dalek units with a brand new casing design that he had devised himself, at least, that's what he claims.
The large door to the council chamber raised from its resting position with a boom. Dalek X turned to face the rest of his council, his pupil dilated as his dome turned to make individual eye contact with each member of the supreme council. “Meeting Adjourned” his dome turned once more to face a specific supreme sporting a black casing with alternating blue, gold and silver colours. “See to it that production of our new travel machines begins immediately, you are all dismissed”. The councilmen backed away from their spots one by one in perfect synchronisation, following each other one by one as they left the council chambers. Dalek X was about to follow suite when the large door suddenly slammed shut, locking him in the room. Surprised by this X slowly backed up as black horribly organic roots started covering the door. X’s eyes shrunk in fear as Xen manifested himself out of the corner of the room, low gurgling and grunting noises echoing from inside of him.
X backed himself into a corner of the room, metal clanking could be heard overhead as Vespasin crawled across the ceiling with his many legs. He reached for the chamber's light source and with a swift movement snuffed out the light. Slowly the light dimmed back on, highlighting the chamber's main chamber. X slowly lumbered towards the main table with his eye darting around the room trying to make out the figures of Vespasian or Xen, but it was as if they had vanished into the void that the room had now become.
“You are performing your tasks most excellently, Dalek X '' A feminine yet oddly angelic voice came from the darkness, it was distinctly dalek but the mix of femininity and calmness in its voice worked to make it frightening and unnerving. X shivered in his casing as his eyestalk darted to face where the voice had come from. Slowly emerging from the darkness Andromeda appeared, the Empress of the Daleks. She towered over Dalek X and looked down on him. Despite not having facial features there was an odd sense of joy in her inhuman demeanour.
“I have done as you have asked….’Empress’...” Dalek X said with disdain in his voice, his eyes pivoting downwards in shame. He slowly lifted his eye stalk to stare back at her. “But I-!” Andromeda moved beside him and cut him off as she snatched his eyestalk within the grasp of her claw, forcing him to face her.
“But what?” She said in her calm soothing voice, directly taunting him.”You forget your place, Dalek X. I OWN you, YOU ARE MINE TO COMMAND!” She snapped, her angelic calmness breaking. “You chose to agree to these terms, without me you would not have survived your war with the imperials, you wouldn't be where you are now without me. I am the one supplying you with your power, remember that!” she released his eyestalk, slowly backing away from Dalek X. Xen’s roots slowly slithered off the door allowing it to open once more. “You are dismissed, Dalek X. Leave” With no hesitation he scurried out of the room, as he roamed his way down the city's corridors mumbling to himself. He was going to break out of these chains somehow, by any means.
Andromeda watched as he scuttled off as the door closed once more. Vespasian crawled down from his place on the ceiling as he and Xen moved to flank either side of their empress. She swiftly turned to face them, her eyes lowering to meet her shorter companions. “Soon, my Loyalists, we will have complete control over Dalek X. He is arrogant and will realise too late of the hidden design elements I have implemented in the new casings supplied by me. Our home universe may be destroyed but we shall claim this one as our own.” Andromeda turned away from them again, looking longingly into the distance. “You are both dismissed.”

A communique on sabotaging Zionist infrastructure: shutting down Friends of the IDF
“On November 5th, the Zionist fascist scum, ‘Friends of the IDF’ who represent the interests of wealthy American capitalists in their direct support of the settler colonial state of Israel and its continued campaign of genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people, attempted to hold a fundraiser gala ...
“You cannot do damage to the Zionist project by merely engaging with its facade; you must strike at its soulless heart. You must strike at its veins (supply chains, logistics, cash flows, infrastructure).
“While the liberals were congratulating themselves for having their nonthreatening photo op parade out in front of the gala, our people were out of sight at work on the veins of the building. Palestinians have suffered decades of Israeli soldiers and settlers restricting and destroying their access to water, often bricking up or concreting any water source not directly under strict control of the occupation forces, cutting off Palestinian access to the Jordan River while draining it to near extinction for settlement mono-crop agriculture, shooting holes in Palestinian water towers, bombing Gazan water treatment facilities, poisoning Palestinian springs and enforcing water apartheid in order to exert total control over Palestinian life. We decided to give these Zionist bootlickers a taste of their own medicine.
“We cracked open the water main for the building housing the gala, switched it off, and filled the box with fresh concrete. This form of sabotage is quick and incredibly easy to replicate, and the tools are quite cheap. It also renders the building in question completely uninhabitable and unusable. We had a good laugh imagining these fascist motherfuckers driven out of the gala by the stench of overflowing toilets, unable to raise any more money for genocide. As we did we were reminded of how Israeli settlers flood Palestinian olive groves with sewage, poisoning food sources, destroying livelihoods.”

Commanding Excellence: The Role of Control Towers in Elevating Supply Chain Visibility and Resilience
In the dynamic landscape of modern supply chain management, businesses are increasingly turning to innovative solutions to enhance visibility, streamline operations, and fortify resilience. At the forefront of this transformation is the concept of Control Towers — a sophisticated approach that acts as the nerve centre, orchestrating and optimizing supply chain activities. In this article, we explore the pivotal role of control towers and how they contribute to elevating supply chain visibility and resilience.
Unlocking the Power of Control Towers
1. Control Tower Supply Chain Management:
Holistic Oversight: A control tower provides end-to-end visibility across the supply chain, offering a consolidated view of all relevant data and processes.
2. Enhanced Visibility and Transparency:
Real-time Monitoring: By integrating data from various sources, control towers enable real-time monitoring of inventory, orders, and shipments, empowering businesses with actionable insights.
3. Proactive Issue Resolution:
Early Detection: Control towers use advanced analytics and predictive modelling to detect potential disruptions early, allowing for proactive issue resolution and minimizing the impact on operations.
4. Dynamic Decision-Making:
Agile Response: The real-time data provided by control towers facilitates agile decision-making, allowing supply chain managers to respond swiftly to changing market conditions and unforeseen challenges.
5. Streamlined Collaboration:
Cross-functional Connectivity: Control towers break down silos by fostering collaboration between different departments and stakeholders, promoting seamless communication and coordination.
The Core Components: Understanding the Command Center
1. Data Integration and Analytics:
Unified Data Platform: Control towers integrate data from diverse sources, creating a unified platform that enhances visibility and supports data-driven decision-making.
2. Automation and AI:
Intelligent Automation: Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, control towers streamline routine processes, reduce manual intervention, and improve operational efficiency.
3. Scenario Planning:
Risk Mitigation: Control towers use scenario planning to simulate various situations, allowing businesses to identify potential risks and develop strategies for effective risk mitigation.
Conclusion: Elevating Supply Chain Management to New Heights
In conclusion, control towers serve as a command centre, transforming supply chain management from a reactive to a proactive and strategic function. By embracing these centralized solutions, businesses can enhance visibility, improve collaboration, and fortify their supply chains against disruptions. The integration of advanced technologies, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of control tower principles, positions businesses to navigate the complexities of the modern supply chain landscape successfully. As the command centres continue to evolve, their role in shaping resilient and responsive supply chains becomes increasingly indispensable, ensuring that businesses are equipped to thrive in an ever-changing marketplace.

MAY 4, 2023
“No one should assume that the Fed can really protect the economy and the financial system and our reputation globally from the damage that [a U.S. default] might inflict,” Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said today. “We shouldn’t even be talking about a world in which the U.S. doesn’t pay its bills. It just shouldn’t be a thing,” he added. Powell commented on the debt ceiling crisis when he was in front of the press to announce an interest rate hike of a quarter of a percentage point intended to reduce inflation further. Interest rate hikes make it more expensive to borrow money, which should cool the economy. At the same time, more expensive borrowing upsets the stock market, which tends to fall after a rate hike, as it did today. Interestingly, while Republicans are blaming Democrats for creating inflation by pumping too much money into the economy through social welfare programs, The Wall Street Journal yesterday embraced the argument that a key factor in inflation has been price gouging by corporations. A piece by Paul Hannon noted that businesses are boosting their profit margins, confident that consumers will blame supply chain issues and higher energy prices rather than the companies padding their profits. Oil giant Shell just announced almost $9.6 billion in profits in the first three months of 2023. But Powell’s management of inflation is a smaller story right now than the debt ceiling. Today, the White House Council of Economic Advisers explained three different scenarios. If the debt ceiling crisis runs right up to the edge of default and is resolved before that default, unemployment would rise by 0.1% and 200,000 jobs would be at risk. A default lasting less than a week would cost 500,000 jobs, creating a 0.3% rise in unemployment. And if the U.S. goes into a longer default, the Council of Economic Advisers says, 8.3 million people will lose their jobs and the stock market will fall by 45%. In every case, economic growth will turn negative. The White House yesterday released a fact sheet outlining the cuts Republicans are demanding before they will agree to raise the debt ceiling. In addition to costing jobs and throwing the nation into a recession, their demands will cut nearly 7,500 rail inspection days, shut down at least 375 air traffic control towers, and cut $5.2 billion from highway infrastructure projects. The cuts will eliminate nearly 200,000 child care slots, cut 1.7 million people from food security programs, and remove rental assistance from nearly 600,000 families. In short, the Republicans’ demands are a way to force the country to accept their vision of the country, one that relies on the markets and private enterprise and slashes government action to provide a basic social safety net, promote infrastructure, regulate business, and protect civil rights. So far, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has stayed out of the fight over raising the debt ceiling, both because he was out of the Senate recovering from a fall, and because he has apparently wanted to let House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) deal with the far-right extremists in the conference while appearing to give establishment Republicans plausible deniability from the extremists’ demands. But Biden is trying to pull McConnell into the negotiations to emphasize that the fight over the debt ceiling is not about him and McCarthy, but a struggle that involves the whole government. While McConnell seems to be trying to hold Senate Republicans apart from the House extremists, a story that has fallen under the radar is that Senator Steve Daines (R-MT), chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the man responsible for the fundraising to get Republicans elected to the U.S. Senate, has endorsed Donald Trump. Daines is in close touch both with Trump and with the wealthiest Republican donors. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) made it clear to Jonathan Swan and Carl Hulse of The New York Times that all the Republicans care about is winning back the majority. “I really don't care what the tactics are,“ he said. Not caring about tactics so long as you are in power might well be a problem for another Republican, former Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker. Senior political reporter for The Daily Beast Roger Sollenberger dropped a story tonight alleging that Walker solicited hundreds of thousands of dollars from a billionaire industrialist who believed he was donating to Walker’s Senate campaign, only to have Walker take the money personally. If this story pans out, it suggests Walker will be in legal trouble for election finance issues.

A Communique on Sabotaging Zionist Infrastructure: Shutting Down Friends of the IDF
For Palestine. To rebels everywhere. With deepest love and ancestral rage,
We gathered with heavy hearts and humble hands holding a promise for a world safer from white supremacist, settler-colonial violence. Those who declare war on original peoples and pillage sacred life and land will face retribution. There has been a great fire building, may it overflow and take all enemies of life with it. May it create fertile grounds for victory against violent occupiers.
We took it upon ourselves to make sure these fascists could not gather. Rather than the constant reactivity and rigidness of mass protest spectacles, we wanted to hit them where it fucking hurts.
On November 5th, the Zionist fascist scum, “Friends of the IDF,” who represent the interests of wealthy American capitalists in their direct support of the settler colonial state of Israel and its continued campaign of genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people, attempted to hold a fundraiser gala at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California.
The IDF are known to kidnap, torture, kill, and rape Palestinians, as well as disrespect the bodies of martyrs. They are among the most deplorable people to ever walk the earth.
Despite reports and appearances otherwise, this fundraiser was effectively shut down within the first hour. Donor attendees began hurriedly leaving in a steady stream at the start of what was planned to be a full evening of blood money raising. This disruption, however, was not achieved by the tame, above-ground rally being safely contained by both the police and the rally organizers themselves, at a far distance from the unbothered attendees. These symbolic and futile attempts to shame and appeal to the moral conscience of individuals who have no shame or conscience, will always fail.
You cannot do damage to the Zionist project by merely engaging with its facade; you must strike at its soulless heart. You must strike at its veins (supply chains, logistics, cash flows, infrastructure).
While the liberals were congratulating themselves for having their nonthreatening photo op parade out in front of the gala, our people were out of sight at work on the veins of the building.
We cracked open the water main for the building housing the gala, switched it off, and filled the box with fresh concrete. As we did we were reminded of how Israeli settlers flood Palestinian olive groves with sewage, poisoning food sources, destroying livelihoods.
There are specialized tools that can make this job easier to perform and faster. 1) Water main shut off tool 2) Irrigation lid tool / large screwdriver
The steps are as follows: 1) Lift lid off water box 2) Identify the valve, usually rectangular 3) Turn valve to be perpendicular to the pipe 4) Add a lock to the available hole 5) Fill hole with concrete 6) Put lid back on
At 6:40 PM, just 40 minutes into the gala, we put an end to things before they even began. No auction, no speeches, no propaganda screening, thus cutting off one stream of funding for genocide and apartheid. Donors began sneaking out of the backdoor of the space around 7PM, escorted by fascist police and private security. Around 7:10, a utility truck arrived to attempt a repair. They failed to do so, as our successful sabotage held. The building was evacuated. The Zionists ran home with their tails between their legs, their facade of security and impenetrability proven vulnerable.
We hope that this will inspire other autonomous actors to strike at the infrastructure of genocide everywhere it can be found.
While the Zionist occupation forces deliberately target Palestinian infrastructure to render human survival impossible, we must turn these same tactics on the oppressor, targeting the civil, economic, and political infrastructure that feed the Zionist project, starving it of the resources that sustain its existence and enable its genocidal violence. The targets are here and everywhere. We send a message that there will be no safe space for genocidal capitalism. There will be no safe space for fascist Zionist terror. Wherever you amass, we will find you and shut you down.
This was executed by a group of autonomous anti-Zionists and anarchist saboteurs. We have no name. We are not an organization. We are not an entity. Do not try to find us. We are everywhere and we will not stop.
Palestine will be free.

Day 18: a fish out of water
"When you said you needed help with putting something to rights, I thought you meant a supply closet or some out of control tree." Briar looks around slowly, soaking in every detail. "By rights, this shouldn't even work." It's one thing for the legendary warrior of light, shard of the ancient Azem, his friend J'alia to travel back to Ancient Unsundered time. He's no legend like her. Yet here he is, beyond all logic like a fish plucked out of water and told to walk.
J'alia, as expected, just shrugs. "I picked up the trick." She wiggles her fingers, aether glinting around them. "Better than me carrying around your tiny ghost." She grins at him. "It's a bigger project than a closer or a tree, but I think you'll be a bigger help than I with this part." She points at a small tower ahead of them, mostly overgrown around its edge. She waves him up closer. Briar casts his gaze around once more before he takes the spot beside her.
She takes his hand, holds the other out to the tower, and then they teleported away. The change is sharp. Beautiful floating islands adrift in the sky are replaced by the creeping unreal space that feels miles below the earth. Dark metal and stone walls, chains, and a subtle pulse of magic containment surround them. Briar looks around just as slowly and clinically as he did above. "So, this is Pandaemonium."
"Quite the place, isn't it? It was worse before." J'alia starts toward the first set of walls, a glowing red aura between them. "Erichthonios and Themis should be around somewhere..."
