I know it’s later than usual but i still have 40 mins till midnight so it’s not late!

Shortly after the tall man left, you locked up for a second time and made your way to the cafeteria. To avoid the crowds and noise you typically get dinner an hour after it’s first served but hunger forced your hand. So here you are, standing at one of the entrances into the large room, just staring.

Majority of the faces that greeted you were somewhat familiar. Many you only saw in passing save for a few select. Glancing around you catch sight of Chase just as he catches sight of you. His eyes widen in shock before he waves you over to join him in line. Muttering quiet apologies to the grumbling soldiers you pass, you join him.

‘I must be dreaming, somebody pinch me.’

‘Haha very funny. I’m just grabbing something quick and going to be early.’

‘Stressful day?’

‘You could say that.’ A loud bang silences the muttering and chatter. Looking to your right you just catch a glimpse of someone flying through the air and landing on some chairs. There’s yelling and frantic movements as people try to break the fight apart.

All attempts are futile as the fight continues turning into a brawl. Cutlery and trays start flying across the room, smacking into walls and some get close to hitting people. The yelling finally quiets as a man is scuffed by a very pissed off Ghost while two other people are dragged away by Captain Price and Soap.

Whoever those people are, they must be apart of the loan soldier because you’ve never seen them before. They continue to bicker as they’re pulled closer to the exit. The room begins to go back to normal and you turn to chase to see if he knows the unnamed delinquents.

‘Do you have any idea who the hell they are? Seems like they really hate-‘

‘WATCH OUT!!’ A voice bellows. You turn just in time to feel glass shatter as it comes in contact with your face. One of the fuckers in the fight must have shitty aim. You’re unable to think much else as you kiss the disgusting linoleum, falling faster than anyone could catch you.

An annoying beep brings you back to consciousness. Your not stupid like the people in movies, you know what the beeping is. You know you’re in some sort of hospital hooked up to a monitor. You also know you’re in a paper thin gown as you shift your legs under the blanket. The only thing you don’t know, who the quiet murmuring belongs to.

The beeping stays at the same pace, not giving any hints that you’re awake as you crack open your eyes a sliver. They feel dryer than a desert even though they’ve sat closed for who knows how long. There’s 5 people in the room, three are talking in the corner, one is sitting right next to you, and one is standing at the door.

‘You cannae just attack her lik' that! Aye git that ye don’ lik' eachother 'n' ur "sworn" enemies but dae it where thare won’t be collateral damage.’

A familiar voice scolds in the group of three as he waves his hand in your direction. Not wanting to talk to the Scot you close your eyes and continue to feign sleep.

‘𝕊𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕤𝕨𝕦𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥. 𝕀 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕘𝕠𝕟𝕟𝕒 𝕚𝕘𝕟𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕓𝕚𝕥𝕔𝕙 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕤𝕙𝕖 𝕙𝕚𝕥 ℝ𝕦𝕕𝕪 𝕤𝕠 𝕀 𝕙𝕚𝕥 𝕙𝕖𝕣.’

‘Can you lot shut up for a damn second! You’re suffocating the room in tension. Can’t even act cordial for 10 minutes while the innocent girl YOU knocked out lays on a hospital bed 5 feet away.’

That voice, that one you don’t mind. Gaz is the one sitting by your bed. At least there’s one person in this room you can understand perfectly, though the ones in the corner with Soap aren’t too hard either. Would definitely be easier if you didn’t have a splitting headache ache but they’re somewhat understandable.

The beeping gets faster as you process his words. Eyes practically creaking as you open them fully. The only words you fully heard made your heart plummet. Two fucking days?!?!? How fucking hard did that cup hit you. Your attempt at sitting up are pushed down, like you, by a warm hand.

‘Talk’ it easy luv. You’re pretty banged up, gotta take it slow.’

Furrowing your brows cause a wave of fire across your face. Reaching up, many long and small ridges greet your finger tips. Cuts. Lots of little cuts mark your skin interrupted only in the middle by a large bandage. The damn glass not only seemingly broke your nose, but also sliced up your face.

‘Ah ah, don’t touch your face,’ he lightly takes your wrist and lays it back on your lap. ‘If you let them heal properly they won’t scar.’

‘Wha-,’ your voice cracks painfully, bringing tears to your eyes. One of the guys from the corner, clean shaven, hands you a small cup with water. Taking a gulp, your throat feels 100% better and you try again.

‘What happened? I *cough* know I got hit with something but that’s all.’

Processing what he’s said a persistent beeping finally breaks through your ears. The pace quickening to the point that Gaz quickly glances at it and turns to look you over. Not seeing any obvious signs of declining health he fixes you with a questioning stare that’s answered as you glance at the new faces. Confusion is replaced by amusement as the door is pushed open by two nurses, called by Soap.

The five retreat to the back corner of the room allowing the professionals room to work. Mortification at being caught out you avoid looking at the group and instead focus on the nurses questions. Only when she deems it a false alarm do you risk a glance and are met by two amused and three shocked faces. (Gaz & Valeria and then Soap, Rudy, and Ale)

The resume theirs spots after the medical personnel retreat, leaving just the six of you in silence.

“Are you serious? Why would you hang out with Shams?”, I complained.

“Why shouldn't I?”, Nadeen shot back. “Sarah just dropped me out of the blue. At least Shams doesn't care what others think about her. She seems to be reliable.”

We were on our way to a table to eat lunch together. Actually I had looked forward to it until Nadeen had enlightened me about her weekend.

How was I supposed to warn Nadeen about Shams without talking about Sham's filming? After all we had a deal.

“You just said that she doesn't care about what other people think. Do you really want a friend who doesn't care about your opinion?”, I inquired.

“(f/n) … what is your problem with Shams?”, Nadeen questioned.

I stared at her dumbfounded for a second, not sure of an answer.

Before I could think of one, I suddenly bumped into someone.

Last second I managed to get control over my tray to avoid spilling my food.

To my surprise it was Sarah. But of course she was not alone due to her newest fame. Tasneem, Hiba and their friends were with her.

“(f/n), I'm sorry! Are you okay?”, she immediately apologized.

“Yeah, it's okay. I'm sorry, too. I wasn't really paying attention where I was going”, I confessed.

We sent each other a short smile as a sign that we were not holding a grudge over it or anything.

When I tried to move on, Hiba intervened by placing her arm in front of me.

But instead of addressing me, she started talking to Sarah: “Are you kidding? You're at the top of the food chain now. You don't have to let her get away with this without consequences.”

Then she emptied her full cup of water over my head, draining my whole upper body as well as the food I was still holding in front of me.

“What the hell?”, Nadeen exclaimed.

I was too shocked to react at first.

Sarah was looking apologetically at me, but did not intervene either.

As a turmoil of emotions was bubbling up inside of me, I put down my tray and hurried to the bathroom.

On my way I noticed Shams sitting at a table on her own as usually, her camera in hands. Of course she had filmed the incident!

Tears of anger were pricking at the corner of my eyes as we glared at each other, before I continued my way.

When I arrived in the bathroom I slipped out of my shirt and placed it onto the sink to wring out my wet hair. Then I moved on to drying the shirt under the hand dryer.

It was no use though. It would take forever to dry it up.

I flinched as I heard the door open and quickly held the shirt in front of me to cover myself.

“You gotta be kidding me! What are you doing here?”, I yelled at Shams. “Can you please just leave and use another bathroom?”

“No, I'm here because of you. I ...”

I did not give her a chance to explain herself and instead interrupted her: “What? You didn't want to miss out on filming the continuation of the incident before? What were you hoping to see? Do you want me to break down? Or did you wanna film me without my shirt on?”

“Why are you always so aggressive toward me?”, she wondered. Her voice was surprisingly calm and stoic.

“Well, you always seem to be there during my worst moments, filming everything. I just saw you filming the incident with Hiba as well. And now you're even hanging out with Nadeen. She's my only true friend”, I ranted.

“I did film the incident”, she confirmed. “But it's not you who's looking bad in that scene, but Hiba. And I wouldn't show it to anyone without your consent … as I already promised. Neither did I film anything that happened in the changing room last week. And by the way, I didn't mean to steal Nadeen away from you or anything. She just seems cool and was having a hard time. So I figured we could hang out and maybe become friends. And right now I just wanted to check on you after Hiba was being such a bitch. But if you just want to keep on hating me, I guess I'll leave.”

Shams turned around and grabbed the door handle.

“Wait!”, I called out. “I'm sorry.”

She faced me again, her hand still on the door handle.

“You're right. I was being a jerk”, I admitted. “I only wanted to see the version of you I had pictured in my mind. Honestly I'm not even sure why.”

Shams let go of the handle and fidgeted something out of her bag.

“You can borrow it if you want to”, she offered me a spare shirt. “I don't think yours is gonna dry in time for the next lesson if you don't put it outside in the sun. And you can't really go out without wearing it. So ...”

Hesitantly I took the shirt from her. I thanked her with a shy smile.

She smiled back at me and I had to admit that it was kinda cute.

Suddenly I wondered why I had pushed her away to begin with.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 44 - Soarin', Flyin', Roastin'

The first thing Ophelia does the next morning is set her ass on fire because she forgot to clean the lint tray of her dryer. I didn't get many screenshots because I was too busy screaming and crying and throwing up but I think this one speaks for itself.

Xander has to leave to help his parents around the house, but he has time to clean up the aftermath of the fire while Ophelia cleans the soot off of herself. He finds that he doesn't mind helping out with chores. He rather likes it, actually!

Ophelia's stressed, as one would be after setting themselves on fire, and does some yoga to calm down. It doesn't entirely make the stressed moodlet go away.

Ophelia Marie, stop shouting forbidden words and eat your chickpea tacos! You've got a wedding to sing at tonight!

Another successful wedding at La Coppia Serena. The staff has just cleared out and… what's this? Is someone at the piano?

Ophelia plunks away, playing a tune any Simillennial would recognize.

Xander: Isn't this from Rabbithole School Musical? This song is so corny.

Ophelia: Don't act like you don't know the words.

Xander pulls her into his lap and she lets out an involuntary giggle as she continues to sing with him.

They finish their song and Ophelia slides off his lap.

Xander: Why don't we go back to your place and break free of our clothes?

Ophelia: OMW you dork… but yeah, absolutely.

Moses: I picked a good day to forget my wallet.

Drew: Looks like this case is closed, my friend.

The two scramble off the bench and try to think of a way to hand wave that display.

Xander: Oh, hey! I was just… learning piano.

Ophelia: Yeah, I was teaching him some notes and the bench is really small so I had to sit in his lap!

Moses: We weren't born yesterday. I think I know more than anyone that tickling the ivories like that isn't merely platonic.

Drew: We spent so much time speculating and we never even considered our own little Ophelia was the mystery lover all along.

Xander: I think the gig is up, Lemon Cake.

Ophelia: Look, guys, it's really not what you think. Xander and I aren't dating. We're just… woohooing. We were just having some fun at the piano. We'd really appreciate it if you kept it on the down low, especially with Hilary.

It'd sure be nice to have a place like this for me and Paps to live; you know we could use the space."           "Yes... or of course you could get a place for yourself. I'm sure after college you and he would be able to support yourselves separately."           "'Of course,'" I repeat his words to confirm his statement because I was unable to get one out myself. Of course, Papyrus and I are only living together for financial reasons. There's no relationship beyond helping family. We live together because we need to, not because we want to. Right?          "I dunno man," I backpedal toward the former mention of college, "If I ever graduate maybe. College is kicking my ass this year."           "Really? I would have thought your senior year would be easiest."           "It's just a lot of stress. Stress and a lot of second-guessing. Each year I've become less certain writing was the right way to go."           "If you ever need help I'd be glad to have you here. I didn't go to college but I took advanced placement classes just because of how fascinated I was with literature and language." I became flustered at the idea of coming back here; being cherished and cared for in this warm apartment, "Hey, yeah! And I could help you decorate as well. Make this loft a little homier."           "Sounds like a plan," Grillby says smiling as he hands a delicately arranged dish to me.

After eating the most delicious breakfast, Grillby excuses himself and then comes back with my clothes from the night before. They were still warm from the dryer, or maybe it was the heat of his hands. I dressed in the bathroom, aware that he's seen me naked, but now that fact was too embarrassing to face. Once I was dressed he didn't hurry me to leave but assured me he would drive me home when I was ready. The truth was, I didn't want to leave; I was still scared to see Papyrus after yesterday and especially after last night, but I knew I needed to head back. Pap was probably worried even though we haven't been on the best of terms lately. I've been ignoring his texts more than usual these past few days. We get into Grillby's car and as we drive I become less and less comfortable with the destination. I feel trapped in the moving vehicle as it drives nearer to my real-life nightmare. Grillby notices my discomfort based on the measures he took to give me comfort during the short car ride.           "Sorry... You seem tense. Is it too hot in here?" Grillby asks then proceeds to crack the two front windows.           "Ah, no... Just a little nervous to see Papyrus I guess."           "Why's that?"           "Uh," I pause to find a rational answer, "I guess I've been getting on his nerves a bit. I'm in between jobs and so he's a little upset with me for not helping to pay rent and stuff. It probably doesn't add to the situation that I've been quite the slob recently...Heh-heh." Grillby takes his right hand off of the wheel and places it on my thigh, reminding me of last night, "You didn't come home last night. I'm sure he'll be more worried than upset."           "Hopefully." We pull up to my apartment complex and I thank Grillby for the ride along with the breakfast and the night we had. I got out as he leaned closer to me and I pretended not to notice as I looked away. I wave goodbye now with the protection of the car door's window. As I walk towards my apartment complex I keep my head down, the fear of Papyrus looking through his window was all too real.
