If In Another Life actually turns out to be an Au episode were Daniel is alive I am beyond curious who they are going to cast to play him 👀

so good to have you in my inbox - sorry its taken me an age to reply!!

If In Another Life is an AU then I too am super intrigued as to who they cast to be Daniel, but in the time I've taken to reply to you, I've been thinking about it and I'm not entirely sure its going to be an AU at all - I think its going to be some sort of Buck trying to show his parents how much he's a well rounded and put together human who's living this perfect life (its going to be a case of 'trying to dress the part you think you should and being super uncomfortable whilst doing it because it isn't you' situation).

But I do really like the idea of an AU and I've been wandering around toying with the concept that Oliver is actually playing Daniel in this costume - based purely on the fact that Buck thought the picture of Daniel on the bike was him and therefore Buck must look a lot like Daniel! Because (and I really don't think this is what the show is going to do because it doesn't really make sense but I've had fun anyway!) what if in another life Daniel didn't get cancer? Or he did, but lived (without the need for a bone marrow transplant) and that meant Buck was never born so this is actually an exploration of what Maddies life would've been like without Buck, but with Daniel??

But like I said - the more I sit with the costume the more I think its Buck trying to be something he's not to impress his parents - to show some sort of growth and maturity etc since we last saw them - to prove he's doing well etc etc! Of course I fully expect this to unravel somehow and end up with some kind of Buck whump which will begin his trauma healing!
