Zeta x Mikey Match Up

Notes: This is a tokrev match-up requested by @zetacray with a (lowkey) yandere Mikey

Warnings: slight yandere tendencies, valentine's day au

Mikey didn't want to presume, not when it was her.

Zeta had been his one and only since they were kids, since running Toman and keeping Takemichi in line were his biggest concerns. She hadn't known it then, but Mikey had fallen for her, and hard.

It took years to actually work up the nerve to talk to her.

After all, she was perfect for him.

She was smart but not awfully so, she was creative but not the overwhelming kind, and she was sweet, even if she had a tendency to dress like a member of a biker gang (a factor that had him considering making her join Toman for as long as he could remember).

Zeta was also loyal, and loving in a way Mikey didn't experience often outside of Draken and his family.

Maybe that was why he was quick to jump to conclusions.

They had been together for three years. Three! And even if he knew better Mikey couldn't stop himself from checking his phone yet again and feeling a pang of disappointment at the blank screen.

"She probably just forgot something and is running late."

Usually, Mikey would have had the same line of thought as Draken. after all his girlfriend did have a tendency to forget things, but today was Valentine's Day, and an hour certainly wasn't a short time.

He probably would have continued with his nervous fest if he didn't finally spot her at the other side of the park.

However, this time his worry turned to apprehension as he noticed Zeta wasn't alone. She was with a man he had never met before, and on Valentine's Day no doubt.

But Manjiro trusted his girl, he trusted her as much as he trusted Draken, thus he couldn't help but point the blame at the strange man who was currently on the receiving end of a smile and kind words that worsened his annoyance.

"Don't do it, Mikey."

But he did.

Even as Zeta walked towards him and Draken and began to ramble about how her friend got busy so she had to get another ride, even as he felt her familiar touch return to him and brown strands of hair brush against his cheek as she gave him a small kiss.

Even if she was finally with him again, Mikey couldn't help but memorise the man's plates and send them to someone he was certain would take care of it.

Mikey would have honestly preferred to take care of it himself, but today was Valentine's day, thus he would spend it with his girl and avoid any opportunities to cause a scene.

She wouldn't have liked it if she found out, but that was a measure Mikey had to take. After all, Zeta might have not known any better, but in his world, nothing was ever just a coincidence or accident.
