What is he like in a relationship? When he’s in a relationship he really puts all his focus on that person and will go above and beyond for them. There’s a kind of masculine and feminine balance in him in the sense that he’s ready to be the go getter and take charge but there’s also a vulnerable energy and overflowing emotions. He works hard to take care of his person and make the relationship work . The only downside is he could possibly be too smothering to his partner or come on too strongly because of past shit and maybe too clingy for some people since in a relationship he really shows his softer side and he’s not as aloof as he is to others. He loves to have little house parties with his partner and have friends and family over with a ton of food and music.

Even when others were horrible to them they still kept their dignity and chose to still give to others instead of give in to bitterness and despair. It’s like the Phoenix where no matter how many times they metaphorically die, they can still rise up even better than before. I think they’re able to help heal others because they’ve been through the trauma themselves but they know how to be honest and blunt without being overly mean about it. They have a kid of tough exterior though I think from years of negativity from people that’s made them strong but also a little distant from people and they need a lot of time to themselves to recharge and get away from peoples bs. Honestly this seems a lot like Taehyung too lol I think he wants someone who’s been through similar traumas.

Hii. It's been a few days of this ask, I'm sorry. I don't know if you're still interested but here it goes in case you still are.

The behind hasn't really changed my opinion tbh. Only confirmed two things that I already suspected:

- We were lied about Bam's age. I think the editors didn't know his age and just took a guess, I don't know if JK might've told them. But I've raised big dogs and that's not how a big dog looks at 4 months. I knew it had to be around 10 months old, considering his size and the fact that he had been neutered already. Finally, JK said that Bam was alredy over one year old when they filmed the commentary, which going by his lip piercing, it was filmed in October. So Bam was probably born on October 2020 and JK could've already got him by December 2020 or January 2021. So if ITS was filmed in July 2021, Bam was actually around 9 months old. Finally things make sense for me LMAO but yeah, when I saw the dog for the first time it looked like an adult dog to me.

I know people don't care about Bam's age but it was bugging me because he just didn't look 4 months old. It also makes me incredibly and irrationally sad that JK had it for half a year and didn't say anything. Of course that's his right, but it makes me realize once again that something has broken between BTS and army. If Jungkook feels like he can't share about something as harmless and even beautiful as getting a pet (something every BTS member has shared about before) then I fear he's not gonna be sharing with us anything at all anymore. I guess ignorance really is bliss.

- The editors are NOT in-house bighit/hybe editors and aren't really familiar with the members and their dynamics and also are strangers to the way BTS content is usually presented. I said last time that the show doesn't feel like other BTS shows and watching the behind, it felt more like that. There were quite a few clips that were so much fun and interesting than the ones included in the actual episodes. Like the one where they're loading the washing machine and it's like a train and they're passing the dishes one to another. If you've watched other BTS content, that's definitely the type of clip that's included in the main episodes and not the behind. Usually the sleeping, waking up clips are saved for the behinds. So this type of thing makes me think these editors are probably from the TV station that aired the show.

Okay so that's it for the things that didn't make sense to me and now do.

Now other things:

- It definitely feels like the editors followed taekook's storyline from the previous season. Only their "moments" were added to the main episodes. JK actually drove hoseok and jimin on the motorbike but only taekook were shown on the episodes. Also showed only Taehyung going to JK's room when Jimin went too. The moment with taekook in the kitchen that was nice tho, with or without a "taekook storyline" it made sense that they included it in the episodes.

- If you care about Bam's relationship with Jimin, he definitely seems familiar with him. He played with JM just as much as he played with JK, followed JM around the room excitedly, not even waiting for JM to call him. If JK got him while he and Jimin were "living together", then it makes sense that he would follow JM around the room like that. It's pretty clear tho that they didn't spend the day/night before together. Jimin was only in that moment getting to know if Bam had learned new tricks and I dont know, maybe you don't think the same, but if JK brought Bam from the training center the day or night before leaving for ITS, I think the dog would've been a topic of conversation and Jimin could've asked at home what new tricks did Bam learn. Apart from that, Jimin was the only one JK taught about the tricks. And JM didn't even ask to be taught, he just asked if bam knew anything new. So I think at least JK wanted Jimin to be able to play with Bam the same way he plays.

- I kinda love that Jimin just goes and sits on Jungkook's bed :) When Hoseok was inJimin's room, he sat on the couch. When Taehyung went to JK's room, he checked for Bam's house inside the room and then went and sat on the couch. Maybe I'm forgetting something but I think no one else went and sat on someone else's bed just to hang out. In the first season the night they got drunk Jimin went into JK's room and just jumped into the bed too.

- Another editing opinion... That scene of JM in JK's room should've been in the main episode instead of the karaoke clip. It actually adds up to the perception of their relationship infinitely more than just JK doing silly dances.

- Something funny.. Jimin clearly dying to stare at JK's back when he was working out but not wanting to be so obvious so he was just looking everywhere and thinking what to do with his hands. Jimin is actually carrying the entire lgbt community on his back no joke.

so, for diamond spending, if you’re kinda on the economic budget level of can afford to purchase some-many, then these books are the bomb and would definitely be worth your penny.

i. : bloodbound. pretty ironic huh considering i’m a bloodbound idiot myself. lmao. but it’s worth every penny if u haven’t farmed enough diamonds! also yes you can farm in this app. the reward system is pretty generous once u know how to utilize it. tho some LIs wouldn’t have an immediate diamond option while others have one almost immediately, just weigh whether u need to purchase it or not. the diamond scenes for each LI is equally compelling and incredibly worth it. what i do tho for the most efficient way of spending those ingame currencies is that i don’t buy all outfits. u don’t actually need it. some scenes may suggest but honestly? ive tried having the outfits and not having it and it’s not that much of a difference. i keep the diamonds to spend for important scenes such as the tapestries for back stories and some diamond scenarios that might be informative/entertaining. i’ve bought all diamond options for Adrian so sue me

ii. : the royal romance/heir. same thing with bloodbound. sure, the hair options are majestic. the outfits? have u seen other books release stylish outfits? i personally have not. it’s really magnificent. although sometimes pb milks it, if you’re smart & can live with letting down ur LI for not spending a penny on their vanilla smuts and group gatherings then you’re good to go! just spend it on important pieces of scenes/info that are being paywalled by pb for god knows what reason. trust me, you might be baited but not all diamond options are actually worth it. i love trr/trh don’t get me wrong but this bitch is poor so sure as heck not gonna spend my diamonds like a mad banshee on random shenanigans.

iii. : open heart. dear god. the backbone of all those reused faces in like whatever new book that comes out with pb as of late. jesus. btw the diamond options are worth it! i like to spend diamonds for my LI and some options that are needed by the plot. you’ll know which are those once u get to start the book! i just don’t buy anything related to appearances unless it’s necessary to the plot. pb ain’t gonna bait this broke bitch because if my LI truly loves me they’ll accept me even if i wear a garbage bag

iv. : platinum. okay? where should i begin? because u actually need diamonds in this book? hello? i started this book without spending diamonds and where did that take me? a broken guitar, missed opportunities and slow rising fanbase lmao. so please do yourself a favor, save up and check out walkthroughs on how to survive being a star without spending diamonds like crazy. there are actually various options available but u can check it urself so u will be guided. i made terrible choices with my brokeass here and let’s just not talk about that

v. : it lives anthology ( it lives in the woods & it lives beneath ) anyone who knew my ass will know that i’m so much of a cheapskate that i didn’t spend a single diamond on this godtier book and i survived just fine. u can check walkthroughs but i doubt it’ll be much of a help since most of the critical choices are timed and u need to use 200% of ur brain to survive this mess. lmao. okay not 200% but u get my point. ilitw requires to many diamond options to raise nerves of ur crew but u will be fine if u just spend it on important stuff. BUT SURPRISE BITCH LMAO EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT OTHERWISE U R DEAD OR UR FRIENDS ARE DEAD LMAO. but in ilitw u can save the maximum survivors by just making all the right choices!

don’t even get me started on ilb. it lives beneath? THE BITCH DIES BENEATH. LIKE HOW– THE AUDACITY– i lost a fucking pinky because i was too much of a coward to spend my nonexistent diamonds. like how dare thee! lmao. just... just spend ur diamonds for this for the most critical and crucial circumstances. make the correct choices and then you’re good to live. it also has options on where u don’t need to spend diamonds but still making the correct choices under pressure either by timed or by confusion contributes greatly to this story.

YES PLEASE. nightbound is 100% worth to spend on. have u seen that hair? god i love that ombre color!! also uhhh please buy some weapons for ur own good lmao. and just be wise on where those diamonds are going. i always stick by a rule whenever it comes to spending ingame currencies– don’t buy if it’s not necessary to the plot. just purchase what is important, collect information to unlock scenes at the end and choose ur choices wisely. don’t die.

vii. : the elementalists. now. this book. GDI THIS BOOK. this is freaking diamond book???? whenever u spend ur day with ur LI gosh it will ask for diamonds. ( ily beckett dear but ur gf is a brokeass bitch & i cant always spend time with u picking flowers or hanging out with merpeople /crying obscenely ) there are diamond options here that are more important than the smexy scenes with ur LI. diamond options that will allow u to learn things and get equipments that will be ultra useful for the story and plot. what i love about this book is that it’s so personalized to the point that u might feel u truly r ur mc that’s why u might be compelled to purchase things such as outfits and etc but honestly? i went to the dance with the most lameass garb but still got to enjoy it just the same. but the diamonds you spend to learn new infos and heighten ur power? those are the most worth it tbfh. also some non diamond options are actually good than the diamond ones so enjoy familiarizing the world of brokeass people while playing. that’s just me telling u that since im broke i didnt get to glimpse those diamond options sob

viii. : a courtesan of rome. YOOOOOOO this book is wild lmao! i’m incredibly torn whether to tell u to waste ur diamonds for ur LIs or be frugal and choose wisely. follow ur heart while playing this. i absolutely loved how, even if not wearing the most delightful garbs, ACOR mc still kills it as a courtesan. u know what they say, true beauty shines even in the darkest places or the smarmiest set of clothes. she can wear a guard’s armor and she still be slayin. very pretty. i’m in awe.

ix. : perfect match. more like the perfect way to go broke lmao. honestly a god tier book. spend wisely and watch out for options that will ask u to spend diamonds to contribute to the plot. some options will ask u like honestly the other books so by now you know what to do. stay for the plot. it’s really great. and while u r playing please tell eros they suck. 😌

x. : mother of the year. i beg of you to spend ur diamonds on ur child please they deserve the world.

xi. : desire and decorum. honestly speaking i haven’t done that much diamond spending except for my upcoming wedding in book 3 so yes. same applies with what i said, look out and watch for options that will require u to spend but will provide u juicy information as a result. i haven’t bought a single outfit for my mc. i just bought diamond options for my LI and some for some important info and perhaps a bit of information for investigations.

xii. : ride or die: a bad boy romance. GOD. SPEND THOSE DIAMONDS. xiii. : books like wishful thinking, veil of secrets, endless summer, the crown and the flame are god tier books that are incredibly worth it for ur diamonds. trust me. tcatf actually has a point system where u can gain in game points and can choose whether to use it or use diamonds for certain options. honestly godtier. endless summer has an interesting way in gaining and losing nerve points and relationship points too! veil of secrets needs ur diamonds for investigation and clue finding and wishful thinking has a very unique premise. everything is worth it.

xiv. : i’m adding the freshman series because /zig ortega/ is worth every penny please and also HSS Class Act and HSS. if you’ve played pb’s highschool story which is a separate app then you’ll enjoy these books.

some books like AME and RCD will require u to spend diamonds for options and might demand it for the plot but i got through everything there and really u can play it without doing so.

It’s exploded again recently because of the reveal of Nagini as a person (more specifically, a Korean woman) in the new FBAWTFT film and there’s a post here that you can read that explains that. 

Warning, discussion below on sensitive topics regarding representation of minorities, race/racism, sexuality/homophobia, disability and colonialism. 

Firstly, you are right that no story has to represent everyone, because that would be impossible. The truth of it is that any writer has the agency and choice to write the characters and story they want to. Speaking from a personal perspective as someone that loves to write and is a straight, white girl with no disabilities or part of any minority group (that I’m aware of), it is significantly more challenging to write characters that are from minority groups. The reason for that is because I myself do not identify or fit into any of those labels (I can’t think of a more appropriate word, so I’m gonna stick with labels, forgive me if it’s a poor choice of word), so I don’t completely understand what it is to be gay or black or physically disabled and what if I can’t bring justice to a character that is those things? What if I offend someone that reads it that is gay, black or disabled? And these are the kind of issues that representation can pose for writers. Having said that, all of this can be resolved with one simple word - research. In my case, it’s very different because I only write for fun and recreational purposes (although there’s always a certain level of research that goes into my writing), but for a professional author, they should be working their asses off to do research to ensure they do their characters justice. 

Personally, I think concerns over representation being raised are always valid. We live in a world where there are more voices speaking out against injustices and particularly, injustices that are more subtle or that have been normalised and widely accepted, such as the lack of representation in popular culture. Having said that, I don’t agree with sending hate and/or being violent or aggressive in raising those concerns and at times, I think the HP fandom can be guilty of that. 

As I pointed out to the tags in my post, I really don’t think JKR did anything wrong in not having diverse representation in her books for a number of reasons. The most obvious reason is that she simply wrote characters that were relatable to her and that she was in touch with in her daily life. It’s important to bear in mind the context of the time in which she was writing - people, particularly young people, seem to forget how much progress has been made in such a short time and how much more liberal societies (I’m particularly referring to the UK here, since that’s where I live and JKR lives) have become over the last few decades. When I was a child I didn’t know anyone that identified as anything but straight until I was around 19/20 years old and then slowly I had friends and people around me that came out as gay, bi and pan; I didn’t meet anyone that was trans until I was 22 years old; at my school I only knew one child that was physically disabled; at my primary school there was only one child that wasn’t white. 

Obviously I can’t comment on JKR’s personal character since I don’t know her and I don’t follow her or engage with her through social media, but the lack of representation doesn’t immediately mean she’s inherently racist or homophobic or biphobic or erasing any kind of minority group deliberately. She was just writing what she knew. But what I said and you have agreed with is that she hasn’t handled things right. Her reactions to fans complaints have sometimes been childish and the Nagini incident shows that she’s grasping at straws to try and pacify people by providing them with the representation everybody is asking for, but it’s only making things worse for all the reasons the post I linked above explains. 

However, shifting away from the whole JKR drama and reflecting on what you said about white privilege - it’s a topic that I’ve been researching a lot recently for educational purposes (this is really just my opportunity to discuss an area of research I’m thoroughly enjoying and finding fascinating, so I apologise in advance if you don’t care about any of this lmao). I’m currently studying a module at university about Jim Crow in South America which is an exploration of black history in America starting from Reconstruction following the end of the Civil War right up until the 1970s (I think near the end of the module we may even touch upon Black Lives Matter). I’m also researching for my dissertation which is about experiences of African American soldiers in the Vietnam War and what’s fascinating to me through the research I’ve been doing is the construct of race and ‘whiteness’. It’s an issue that’s too complex to explain, and you may not care or be interested, but the short version is that race biologically and scientifically does not exist. There is no biological differences (except external appearances) that separate a black/brown/yellow person from a white person, it has quite literally been constructed by European white colonialists and scientists as a way to suppress people of colour, usually for economic purposes. You might be wondering why this is relevant, but it’s because until about 2-3 years ago, as a white person I had no understanding or knowledge of race and how it impacts people’s entire lives - socially, economically and politically. You’re right that white privilege clouds your judgement, particularly when it comes to issues of race, it clouds the judgement of every white person in the world, but what’s worse is that most white people don’t even recognise that white privilege exists. I see so many white people around me in my daily life and on TV (the most recent example I saw was on Celebrity Big Brother UK, which made me so angry I could create an entirely different post on that) claim “racism doesn’t exist anymore” or “this is a equal society” and it infuriates me beyond belief. White people don’t see racism because they don’t experience it and they’re not living it. 

To finish on a final point that’s relevant to your original ask, at this point you’re right that there’s nothing JKR can do to make fans happy. When a series is as popular as Harry Potter and has such a huge fan-base, there is always going to be someone complaining about some aspect of it. If it wasn’t an issue of under-representation, it would only be something else. Nothing in this world is ever perfect and there’s always room for improvement. Honestly, I think the best thing for JKR to do is leave the Harry Potter universe the hell alone. The series is not without its problems, but generally it’s so well-loved by millions of people globally and the fact that she keeps trying to add/retcon certain aspects of the universe and/or characters is what’s frustrating fans more so than anything else. She should just admit that it doesn’t have the representation it could’ve had, learn from that and in any future projects, she can be more aware to be diverse with the characters she writes.

Shiro:

He’d like Cirus for the most part, both leaders and level headed and protective of their kids team, but they’d probably fight for who was leader lmao.

If you’re a leader, ASH (especially after she was recently created) is a fuckin nightmare. They would never listen to him. How Shiro was with Slav is basically how they’d interact in the beginning. 

that being said, once ASH develops as a person (robot?) shiro would probably start treating them less like something he gives orders to and they execute, but more as an actual person (they kinda are, they do develop their own thought and ideas) 

Mala’s kinda skittish and reserved around new people but they’d bond over similarities, both don’t remember a lot of their captivity, got a cool white tuff, missing limbs replaced with weapons. they'd get along.

I honestly don’t know how he’d feel about Val? like he’d appreciate her smarts but she’s already cirus as a father figure but when he dies (spoilers for a story ill never publish lol), shed probably get really attached to shiro bc hes very similar to cirus 

Again with Aice idk how he’d interact with them....like shiro would probably train with them and would make sure they didnt get seriously hurt but theyve just got nothing in common or anything to talk about.

Pidge:

With Cirus, i feel like he’d remind her of her dad and so she’d be kind of distant from him at first and wouldn’t really interact with him. they would eventually talk cause cirus acknowledges that shes a huge part of why missions work and he needs to be closer with her.

Pidge would LOVE ASH so much. pidge would constantly work with val to upgrade and fix them and pidge would constantly interview them to see how they can have individual though when theyre a robot! shes so fascinated by ASH and surprisingly, ASH is really nice and protective of Pidge. 

ASH is programmed to care for those who are hurt, and because ASH can read people like a book, ASH quickly learns about her missing father. ASH and Pidge are the new platonic power couple of the group.

She’d probably be just acquaintances with Mala. Kinda like Shiro and Aice, Pidge wouldn’t want Mala to get hurt and vise versa but they just dont really know each other (and are okay with leaving it at that.) 

She’d admire Val. After all Val literally built her new bff so...jk pidge really does look up to val and they talk about techy and science shit a lot that only hunk and coran can follow.

Her and Aice would connect over small stuff like being so far from your family, and their love for creating stuff. Aice would teach pidge how to sew for sure (Pidge would want to know how to make fabric based casings for different robots and aice knows how to sew soo)

Keith: 

Honestly with all of them I don’t thin keith would be super close with any of them.

Like he’d talk with them about interests that aline, Aice with training, Cirus with leading, Val and ASH with technology. But beyond that theres no real connections.

(this might just be because im not a huge keith fan so i dont bother to give him connections lmao)

Lance: 

He’d look up to Aice and Cirus, they’re both super strong and amazing with guns. The three of them would bond over cool downs after training, getting food and chatting. He knows a surprising amount of information about them because of said food and chat sessions. 

He asks Cirus to teach him to sniper and how to spot angles etc. With Aice they just train a lot bc theyre both long range.

He tried jokingly flirting with Mala once but noticed she left and was super uncomfortable so he went to go apologize and they talked and he learned a lot about her too.

what im trying to say is lance has a skill for reading people and can relate to literally everyone 

he went to go look at the stars one night and found val overworking herself so he invited her to go look at the stars together and they bonded over that fact that they both miss their family and home. 

Val promised to take lance to Ashara sometime because its a lot like Earth, its 85% fresh water, 7% salt water, 5% rainforest, and 3% beach.

He thinks ASH is super cool but they fight a lot. someone who gives out every idea they have mixed with someone who only narrows down what the consider the ‘best logical plan’ would not get along most the time.

Hunk:

Same with pidge, he fucking loves ASH. he sometimes joins pidge during her interview sessions with ASH but just asks random questions rather than pidges statistical ones.

loves cooking with Aice and again, they train together a lot because, again, both long range and they teach each other their different skills. aice teach hunk how to clean a super computer cooling system (aka ASH’s room), and hunk teaches them how to fix a ship. 

He doesn’t talk much with Cirus or Val. Again, cares for their well being but they just don’t have much in common to talk about. 

Val does teach Hunk a lot about ASH’s system tho and sometimes joins him and pidge during their time working on ASH.

He tries to teach Cirus to cook but that man is hopless.

Coran: 

Cirus is happy that hes not the oldest one anymore. Both Coran and Allura are sure Cirus is altean because of his markings so Coran’s first idea is “Im now this boys father”. Coran likes telling him about altea and in return Cirus tells him about the different planets he been to during his time as a soldier.

Close with Val and ASH. ASH is honestly intimidated by him because they know hes a really good mechanic and might even have been world knowledge than her. Val and Coran like talking science shit and build little things together.

Once Val told Coran that he reminded her of her uncle and then that dived into where is her uncle/family, so she tells him basically her entire backstory (she kinda snaps it was a long week) and after that Coran adopts another kid

He doesn’t talk much with Aice or Mala but does enjoy their company, claims his cooking is better than Aice and has gotten into a few self defense debates with Mala, but they dont know much about each other.

Allura: 

Like Coran thinks Cirus is altean (backstory to that i have a headcanon that the altean race survived but theyre kinda hanging on by a string because i dobt every single altean in all of the universe was on altea the day it was destroyed. allura and coran survived why couldnt have others?) and she enjoys telling him stories of altea like coran.

she hates ASH so much and nobody blames her. ASH tests her patients a LOT and disobeys her authority a lot. Allura tried convincing Val to just program them to be nicer but Val wants them to “become their own person and grow”

she then convinced cirus to convince val, it didnt work

she and val are pretty close, they like talking about their families and lost planets together (Ashara is still around, it’s just hidden and few have access to it) but they do fight over ASH a lot for the aforementioned reason.

Doesn’t really talk to Mala, Mala’s not a huge people person and is also very cautions. Mala finds it hard to beleive the princess of a dead planet from 10000 years ago is still alive so shes kind of untrusting of allura but allura is willing to give mala some time

She likes cooking with Aice and Hunk. Because all of the paladins dont have any other clothing asides from what they left earth with, their sleep clothing and their suits, and she and coran are they same way, she and Aice decided to take clothing requests.
