So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.

Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.

Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.

However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.

In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.

Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.

The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.

Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.

The no hextech timeline proves silko right One of my big issues with the alternate timeline stuff is that we're shown a better zaun, a better way, how things Could have gone And the only Real Reason for said change we're given is Vi dying Vi dies=no hextech=no/less oppression somehow??? Sure no hextech would cause extreme changes in the timeline but it would not make the rich suddenly develop empathy and change laws n whatever To me, the only logical explanation here would be that there was a riot. Vis death being a spark that lit a fire in Vander again. Vi dies in jayces apartment. This causes the rest of the kids to stay there, to shocked to leave before the enforcers arrive(we see this happen) and the enforcers, after getting over the initial shock of the whole thing, then arrested the kids. When news reaches Vander it shows him that no matter how much he grovels for piltovers scraps of peace there will never be Real peace without a fight. He cannot meaningfully protect his family in a system that punishes them for existing, no matter how hard he tries. He now Agrees with silko, they need to fight back, he has to get his kids back. He has to make a better future for them. This is the only way I could realistically see them reconciling And I feel it's the only way there could be this big of a change in such a short time, a few years is Nothing in politics, the rich will fight you every step of the way when you try and change the status quo. The only way they would have gotten those changes is by denying piltover the ability to say no to them.

I have finished Dishonored 2! I have more thoughts than just this but for now:

I am very disappointed by the lack of Daud in this game. They didn't have to put him in it personally, that's fine, but literally the last thing Delilah did in the last game is scream his name in rage. Give me an audiograph where she curses him and the fact that he fucked up her last attempt at taking the throne by possessing Emily. It would give both Corvo and Emily a moment of "excuse me what the fuck??". Give me a horribly tortured statue of him in her dream world where she lives out her revenge fantasy. Give me anything more than just one single unemotional line from a Breanna audiograph.

I think Corvo gets a line from the Outsider but even so, come on. I'm really not asking for much, I think it's entirely reasonable that Delilah would hold a bloody grudge against him.

im having an absolute unadulterated blast with the Ethersea prologue for many many reasons, it's beautiful and exceeds all my expectations.. but also. there's many moments here that genuinely make me go "oh god damn, these people are Americans." the Quiet Year system is a profoundly fascinating and revealing game - nothing tells you quite as much about how somebody sees the world than asking them to imagine a new one.

I just saw someone claim that during Passion (season 5), when Adrien was tempted to use their miraculous to make a Wish and heal Natalie, that he was pretending to not remember that the Wish has a cost to trick LB into letting him make the Wish, and therefore Marinette actually can’t trust him (this was made in response to the fandom being mad at Marinette for keeping secrets from him at the end of the season). I hope the protoframes remain relevant even after this story arc for the Drifter concludes, but I also recognize how complicated things would get with how many characters they could keep trying to make stay relevant, leading to a Konoha 13 Naruto type situation where we have too many relevant characters from Umbra & Ordis all the way to Kaya Velasco.

tbh, I think I'm limited bc I'd have to find 'legal' ways to 'get rich quick'. not for any moral reason, but bc I am an honest-to-god terrible liar so if I was using magic in any kind of con I would give my deception away before I ever got round to revealing the fact I can do magic.

So I think the methods I'd use are possibly:

Comprehend languages x Tongues. Possibly a little too idealistic. in a world where AI translations are now rapidly becoming the norm :)))))) but I think the idea of becoming a universal polyglot who could make money through interpretation/translation of any written language (including ancient/archaic/dead/forgotten languages) would be amazing. I think I'd have to be a written word translator though, bc of my social anxiety.

Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion. Buy myself a rent-free, secret house that produces food, never have to pay rent/mortgage, heating bills, council tax, commute or food bills ever again. Profit.

There are obviously a lot of very illegal ways to get magic quickly. I can't do those, realistically.

If I wasn't keeping my magic a secret, I would probably use Modify Memory. With consent, and a caveat that they also have a memory of memories being added, I'd implant happy memories in people's heads (like, really vivid maladaptive daydreams of requested scenarios - that's right, fanfic downloaded directly into brain). I also often think modify memory could be a really interesting therapy tool for traumatic experiences if used with correct consent, but that way Black Mirror lies so I'm not going to be the person to do that lmao.

Alterntively, Water Breathing. This would draw attention to me lol, which breaks the rules of the question, but I think running 10-person diving tours somewhere warm and sunny would be both a very lucrative and pleasant experience.

I'm also just really sad the wizard spell-list doesn't contain Augury. If I could pick from any spell list, my answer would just be Augury. I think my anxiety over decisions is often what holds me back, so if I could just have a surefire way of checking my choices whenever I need to, that would be how I could suceed.
