this level of awareness + honesty used to annoy me in early haikyuu cuz it felt unearned and "too easy" (see: when i was complainin about everyone being too nice and reasonable) but im really enjoyin it rn cuz we r like 25 volumes in and in a situation where it makes sense to me

ALSO and maybe more importantly i love how its also clear everyone is their own flavor of really annoying to deal w. + its written funny the jokes r finally landing for me

down to the weird ass timing of goin all serious + not actually apologizin about it just acknowledgin it
