"i can see that. but now it only makes me want to call you niña even more. so she can be lola lola and you can be nina." one thing he had learned about the toddler, was that she had a nickname for everyone in her life. her father was condad, or doctor condad, depending on whether he was at home or work. jeremiah was 'miah, which was literally the cutest thing andrés had ever heard. he was emmy, derived from the one time his husband said his full name around the little girl. when they were together, they were emmiah, which was even cuter. she was just the cutest girl that ever lived, and she had the cutest nicknames. his favorite though, was the look on everyone's faces the one time she said itsabell no to her mother. "thank you for welcoming me into your family and into your home. i love her too, all of you. but she is a very special little girl. she is special, just like i hear her namesake was."

ah, that was where her new nickname had come from. a nickname exclusive to her uncle. lola lola. shaking her head with a small laugh. it was adorable - which beck often was. she was the best little girl and the most entertaining person she had ever met - and she'd even help make her. grinning as she looks at him, raising her brow in a slight challenge. sky never stopped feeling uncomfortable in a hospital.  he should have.  besides spending a few months in one overseas, his brother also was one of the favorite doctors in all of ceres centropolis but that still didn’t shake the weird feeling hospitals gave him.  when he walked in, he greeted some of the familiar faces (many of them welcomed him and expressed how happy they were that he was okay) and gestured to them that he was going to head to conrad’s office.  they didn’t bother directing him to the office and just hoped they’d have a good lunch.

since this was conrad’s office, sky didn’t bother knocking.  he just walked into the office, put the take-out burger bags on conrad’s desk (away from the paperwork, of course - he wasn’t an asshole, he was raised properly) and then he took the seat in front of conrad.

“i brought you lunch,” sky grinned at conrad as he leaned back in the chair.  “it’s the most delicious, double-bacon, double-patty, all american cheeseburger with extra bacon.”  he lied.  that was his burger, not conrad’s. // @avgmcnt
