              A grin spread on her lips, pausing for dramatic effect as she took of the cap. “Actually I just forgot my sunglasses.” A small shrug followed her words. No need to tell the other how she had acquired the cap. Again she grinned knowing that her answer probably was not SATISFYING.  “But there’s more - guess what?”

never mind that the agent is at least half a foot taller. mattea has her hands on her hips & she’s shoved her chin in the air, which she feels more than makes up for it. plus !!   mattea’s got POWERS & she’s not afraid to us them anymore. she will if this very tall agent tries to fight her. because now that she thinks about it, she’s never physically fought a day in her life.

well, never mind that !!   it won’t come to that !!   she’s the MAD HATTER & everyone is terrified of her. including this agent. mattea will just have to show her who’s IN CHARGE if she attacks.

So when he had time alone in the peace of his lonely table, he milked it. He poured himself alien alcohol and relished in his comfort zone. He was hardly ever approached, despite his social butterfly nature -- Mon-El always found calm in loud places in which he was able to drown out his thoughts and get drunk. It was for that reason his initial shock sets in as the brunette speaks to him. Or so he thinks. He looks around and over his shoulders -- he’d been in that position, where he waved or answers to a person that was merely looking right past him. 

“Oh,” Mon-El smiled at the realization she was just trying to be friendly, “Mine isn’t fake. Hi, I’m Mike.”

a new zealand resort is hardly maddie’s ideal rendez-vous spot. it’s not even an ideal vacation spot. goodness knows what kitty sees in it. maddie lazily looks through the binoculars from atop the resort, keeping careful watch on the vicinity. shoot all men on sight, refrain only for sympathy jones... she knows the drill.

she jolts, however, a moment later when she does see sympathy approaching the resort. maddie wonders if she’s come to fight kitty,or if she’s finally gone evil and has come to join them. maddie yawns and carefully climbs down the side of the building, whipping out a more civilian-looking hat and slapping it on her head. she doubts it’ll do anything for appearances, but perhaps sympathy jones will be less inclined to attack if she thinks maddie comes in peace.

“miss jones! we’ve been expecting you. are you here to stop kitty.. or are you here to join us in taking over new zealand?”

if there’s one person to blame for the amount of musicals I’ve digested these past weeks(?) it’s this one!! Not saying it’s a bad thing, but also wow - it’s a bad thing XD no regrets! also how did you manage to get such nice URLs?!?!anyway I really love seeing your posts on my dash.           ❝ i was really talking about a...   figurative fall. ❞   she runs a hand through her hair-----   it’s unclipped from both sides now, loose, as messy as it’ll ever get. stressful days leave her like this. then there’s karen, with effortless composure. maddie doesn’t get it. the woman just RADIATES energy.

          ❝ & i suppose no one ever really PLANS a figurative fall. ❞   perhaps because they’re so much worse than physical falls. not that she’s ever fallen from a high physical location, but sometimes she’s fallen as many as six times before breakfast. granted, sometimes she doesn’t EAT breakfast which...   probably explains a lot of the falling, but still.
