If anyone remembers all the dental work I needed done uhhhhhhh three years ago and never went back and ran away forever…I’m finally going back to a dentist on Thursday to restart the process and face my deep and utter abiding terror. And I also scheduled my COVID and flu vaccines for a couple hours later. And my psych appointment to restart meds.
I figured get it all done in one day, have my miserable immune reaction on Friday that I seem to always get with Moderna COVID shots, and then flee directly into the weekend and never be a person again except when I’m on and off crying. It’s going to be so kind to future me to get these things done and I can do it no matter how much I feel like I am constantly about to Actually Physically Die.
#you can see why I’m restarting meds#my brain is constantly convincing me that my teeth are about to actually finish rotting out of my mouth and I probably have an abscess#already that is going to give me a jaw or heart infection#which is VERY unlikely#and that my dog is deeply sick and I should rehome her and give her to someone who’ll take proper care of her and isn’t me#yadda yadda#it’s been fucking miserable#the only good part is 1) I’m going to get the worst part over with (starting the process) and#2) even if I completely flee and refuse to go back I’ll have one dental cleaning at least helping with plaque buildup and stuff#this is so fucking EMBARRASSING it’s all so EMBARASSING#it shouldn’t be this hard for me and I know it’s irrational#I’m just so scared because it’s so triggering for me for NO REASON and#I KNOW that this time when we get to the multiple fillings and at least one root canal and also my impacted wisdom teeth that it’ll be#different and I won’t go un-numb or if I do again they’ll have better checks in place for when I panic lie to their faces#but it doesn’t help#and I’m so sure they’re gonna tell me I need three or more root canals because I’ve waited way way too long#and I STILL can’t consistently keep up with brushing and flossing#which is the most embarassing and shameful thing in the world and I KNOW#but I’m scared shitless of all of it and it’s all a sensory nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!#anyway I’m not going to be okay later this week and I’m not particularly okay now#so if I’m not around online much#that’s why#but I’m happy news Aoife and I are having some lovely walks this week and she’s very cute and snuggly and we played tug a lot of times yest#*yesterday and she also stayed sniffing a bush while a bike went past two feet away#instead of getting startled and needing to hop or bark at it and then calm down#I’m so proud of her#and I wouldn’t be able to do this at all without my very kind partner who spearheaded scheduling the dentist (and researching places)#after my jaw pain nervous breakdown last week#health#personal

re: homeschooling that's fascinating! and also really depressing with your experience with formal school, glad that didn't last too long. I hate how it's such on shaky bureaucratic ground though. do you have any kind of diploma for proving you've completed the equivalent of high school? or does this kind of study just basically lock you out of the job market? I guess if you're doing specialised work (like being a dance instructor), you might not need that anyway
yeah im lucky that i wound up in a field with non-school qualifications because i have absolutely no documentation of any education past age 9. the government here really just pretends homeschoolers dont exist - unless things have changed in the last 15 years (which hopefully they have but i doubt it) theres no way to access any kind of legal proof of education as a homeschooler without enrolling in some kind of formal schooling. the system is in dramatic need of overhaul and because it affects such a small number of people, nobody can be bothered actually doing that. i qualify for ue now because im over the age for adult admission (here once you're over i think 23 you can apply without the high school qualifications and you just have to sit an english comprehension test to make sure youll understand the coursework) but i dont actually want to go to university anymore so im still out here without any evidence of schooling to my name. it basically set me up to be unemployable without pursuing alternative qualifications.

I think it’s the seasonal darkness but this dental stuff feels like the last straw
#went to the dentist for the first time in over two years. not great#my home care has always been spotty but these last few months I’ve been really trying#and at first I was really happy and the new hygienist seemed not completely dismayed#minor gingivitis in back (I used to be at risk for periodontal disease) and like no tartar. gums still bleedy and inflamed but tbh?#a huge win! a great win! I’ve had cleanings that were just cleaning and disappointment so the first was great#dark shadow under one of my fillings. that sucks but it’s been two years so I probably need a new one#doc comes in and. unfortunately. immediately got to work#so when she said I needed a crown and three fillings on my front teeth it was kinda hard not be upset with the new stranger?#idk man. it’s hard to be pleased about the little step forward when there’s over 1k in procedures looming over me#and logically I know it’s not a step backwards. it’s literally consequences from the thing I’ve spent the last month improving#specifically bc it was gonna have consequences like this#and frankly! it’s not that bad! two years ago I had multiple caries that the dentist warned me could get bad and they didn’t!#but I never thought I’d have front teeth fillings. and a crown makes me feel bad bc I wasn’t expecting it#really fighting a losing battle against the feeling that dental care doesn’t matter anymore bc of these#which is not true. and is silly. bc only with this care and more can I keep my mouth from having this happen again so soon#it’s just really bumming me out#I was really proud and now I feel really ashamed bc the habits were bad and my fixing it now doesn’t really matter#bc it was bad then and affected me bc I didn’t fix it then. and I’m frustrated#edit: I took a fifteen minute break and fixed this btw#I’m old enough to afford doing this mentally and financially. the me who made these mistakes originally thought she’d be dead at 17#and now I’m carrying it bc she couldn’t. I’ve never been good at regretting or despairing at my past haha#I’ll do my best (and sometimes it won’t be perfect) bc I’ve taken better care in these last two month than in the two years preceding#why wouldn’t i be proud. of course it matters. I’ll fix this to fix her mistakes and make it easier for the one after me#this self love shit is easy ajskdlf

People have this unquestioned assumption that evolution strives towards a ‘perfect’ organism. Evolution doesn’t have a concept of perfect, it just works towards a point where a sustainable amount of the population will survive, then fucks off.
'the human body is perfect god doesnt make mistakes' what about wisdom teeth then. huh. gonna let those bastards grow in and fuck up your jaw for god. didnt think so

Complete Dental Care at King Street Dental: Your Path to a Healthier Smile
When it comes to maintaining optimal oral health, comprehensive dental care is essential. At King Street Dental, we understand that a healthy smile is more than just about having white, straight teeth—it's about the overall well-being of your mouth. Our dedicated team is committed to providing complete dental care that addresses every aspect of oral health, ensuring you leave our clinic with a confident and radiant smile.
Why Comprehensive Dental Care Matters
Comprehensive dental care goes beyond routine cleanings and checkups. It encompasses a full spectrum of services designed to address all your dental needs, from preventive care to advanced treatments. By offering a wide range of services under one roof, we aim to provide a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.
Services Offered at King Street Dental
1. Preventive Care: The Foundation of Oral Health
Preventive care is the cornerstone of maintaining good oral health. At King Street Dental, we emphasize the importance of regular checkups and cleanings to prevent issues before they arise. Our preventive services include:
Routine Cleanings: Regular cleanings help remove plaque and tartar buildup, reducing the risk of cavities and gum disease.
Exams and X-rays: Comprehensive exams and digital X-rays allow us to detect potential problems early, including issues that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Oral Hygiene Education: We provide personalized advice on brushing, flossing, and other aspects of oral hygiene to help you maintain a healthy mouth at home.
2. Restorative Care: Repairing and Restoring Your Smile
When dental issues arise, our restorative services are designed to repair and restore the function and appearance of your teeth. These services include:
Fillings: We offer various types of fillings to treat cavities and restore the natural function of your teeth.
Crowns and Bridges: Crowns and bridges can help replace missing or damaged teeth, improving both function and aesthetics.
Root Canals: If a tooth's pulp becomes infected, a root canal can save the tooth and alleviate pain, preserving your natural smile.
3. Cosmetic Dentistry: Enhancing Your Smile
Aesthetic enhancements can significantly boost your confidence and self-esteem. At King Street Dental, we offer a range of cosmetic treatments to help you achieve the smile of your dreams:
Teeth Whitening: Our professional whitening treatments can brighten your teeth and remove stains for a dazzling smile.
Veneers: Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that cover the front of your teeth, correcting imperfections such as chips, gaps, or discoloration.
Bonding: Dental bonding is a versatile solution for repairing minor damage and enhancing the appearance of your teeth.
4. Orthodontics: Achieving a Straighter Smile
For patients seeking to straighten their teeth and correct bite issues, our orthodontic treatments offer effective solutions:
Traditional Braces: Metal braces are a time-tested method for correcting misaligned teeth and bite problems.
Clear Aligners: For a more discreet option, clear aligners offer a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth and improve your smile.
5. Emergency Dental Care: Prompt Relief When You Need It
Dental emergencies can occur at any time, and prompt care is crucial to alleviate pain and prevent further damage. At King Street Dental, we offer emergency services for:
Toothaches: Quick relief and treatment for severe tooth pain.
Broken or Knocked-Out Teeth: Immediate care to address broken or missing teeth and restore function.

Avoid Cavities: 7 Key Tips from One Dentall’s Professionals
Tumblr media
Nobody likes hearing the words “You have a cavity.” It’s one of those moments that can make you cringe. But fear not! At One Dentall, the best dental clinic in Belgaum, we’re here to share seven simple yet effective tips to help you keep those pesky cavities at bay. With a little dedication and some good habits, you can enjoy a healthier smile and peace of mind.
Understanding Cavities: What Are They Really?
Before we jump into tips, let’s take a moment to understand what cavities are. Cavities, or tooth decay, happen when the bacteria in your mouth break down sugars and produce acids that erode your enamel. Imagine your teeth as brave soldiers defending your mouth against this army of bacteria. If they’re not well-equipped with proper care, they can falter.
1. Brush Your Teeth Twice Daily
Let’s start with the basics. Brushing your teeth twice a day is like giving your teeth a superhero shield. When I was a kid, I always felt a bit more confident going to school after I brushed my teeth. It’s that fresh feeling that sets the tone for the day. Use fluoride toothpaste, and don’t rush! Spend a couple of minutes brushing gently but thoroughly. Trust me; your teeth will appreciate the extra care!
2. Floss Daily for Those Hard-to-Reach Spots
Picture this: you just finished a delicious meal, and there’s something stuck between your teeth. Annoying, right? Flossing is the hero that saves the day. It’s essential for cleaning those nooks and crannies your toothbrush can’t reach. When I finally made flossing a part of my daily routine, I noticed a remarkable difference in how fresh my mouth felt. Plus, it takes only a few minutes. Give it a try—you’ll be amazed at how satisfying it is to remove that pesky food particle!
3. Limit Sugary Snacks and Beverages
We all have cravings, but be mindful of those sugary snacks and sodas. I remember a summer where I indulged in too many sweets, and my dentist wasn’t thrilled during my next visit. Bacteria love sugar, and when they feast on it, they produce the acids that can lead to cavities. Instead, swap out those candies for some crunchy veggies or fruits. Not only are they better for your teeth, but they also make for a refreshing snack!
4. Stay Hydrated
Water is your best friend when it comes to oral health. Think of it as your mouth’s natural cleanser. Staying hydrated helps wash away food particles and bacteria. I make it a point to carry a water bottle everywhere I go. It’s a simple habit that not only keeps me hydrated but also keeps my mouth feeling fresh and clean. And if your water is fluoridated? Bonus points for added enamel protection!
5. Regular Dental Check-ups
I know, I know—dental visits can feel like a chore. But they’re essential for preventing cavities! Regular check-ups at One Dentall ensure any potential issues are caught early. Our friendly team, composed of highly skilled MDS-qualified doctors, is dedicated to making your visit as comfortable as possible. When I finally embraced my dental visits, I realized they weren’t just about fixing problems but also about keeping my smile healthy and bright. Trust me; it’s worth it!
6. Use Mouthwash to Reduce Bacteria
Incorporating mouthwash into your routine can be a game-changer. It’s like putting the final touch on your dental care routine. A good antimicrobial mouthwash can help reduce the bacteria in your mouth, giving you that extra layer of protection against cavities. I often use it right before bed—there’s something so satisfying about finishing my day with a clean, fresh mouth.
7. Educate Your Children About Dental Hygiene
If you have kids, instilling good dental habits in them is crucial. I remember how my parents made brushing fun by singing silly songs together. It turned a mundane task into a delightful bonding moment! Make dental hygiene a family affair—create charts to track their brushing or have a mini dance party in the bathroom while they brush. By making it enjoyable, you’re setting them up for a lifetime of good habits.
Conclusion: Your Path to Healthy Teeth
Cavity prevention doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With these best practices for oral health, you can maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. The experts at One Dentall are here to support you every step of the way. Our mission is to enhance your quality of life through comprehensive dental care, and with over 80,000 satisfied customers, we take pride in being your trusted partner in oral health.
Remember, your teeth are a vital part of your overall health. Embrace these tips, and you’ll be well on your way to avoiding cavities and enjoying the confidence that comes with a bright, healthy smile. So, let’s keep smiling and make oral health a priority together!

Help Jamal Shamia family
Tumblr media
Jamal Shamia, Iam a criminal lawyer, lam suffering of many diseases hypertension and diabetic mellitus and Muscle spasms and always got shocked and coma .
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I was injured in the war and suffered a very serious injury, which was a blood clot in the hip joint area, which caused him many infections and the infection spread in the area. is currently in Gaza, and my home was destroyed at the beginning of the war. We have lost security and peace. We have witnessed how a single rocket can destroy your entire life, both your past and your future. Our dreams have been shattered. Now the future is unknown and dark. There is no home, no basic life essentials, no job. We are now seeking to leave this country for a life abroad and to obtain security. We estimate our loss to be at least $50,000 to rebuild a home and start our lives anew.
Tumblr media
My wife, Mufida, is 62 years old. She traveled before the war to have surgery on her eye alone, and now she is stuck on the Egyptian side. She has no breadwinner and needs many medications and medical supplies.
After that, she suffered a broken hand due to the lack of necessary care for her. I want to collect money to go to her and support her.
Tumblr media
Rasha Jamal Shamia and her husband, Khalil Abu Samaan, have two children, Mira and Omar. They have been forced to flee their home in Gaza City and are now living in a tent in Rafah, far from everything they once knew. Their home, their children’s education, and their future—everything is gone. Their days are filled with fear, and their nights bring no rest. The constant sound of bombs haunts them, and they have no way to provide their children with the life they deserve
Tumblr media
Ahmad Jamal Shamia resides in Gaza and is a third-year student in dental school. He lost his education due to the devastating war in Gaza. He was studying at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and his home was destroyed in the war. He is currently suffering from moving from one temporary shelter to another. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university. He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students. He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.
