Boo Boos - Twice
"The 96’ and 97’ line went to an indoor playground to enjoy some time together, they were having so much fun until an accident soured the mood"
word count ─ 1.4k
tags ─ little! mina, little! jihyo, little! sana, little! momo, cg! jeongyeong, cg! nayeon, fluff, autumn, tw! hurt, tw! someone getting hurt, little angst, but ends with fluff
notes ─ This is for the Injured prompt, my little nibling is the one who chose who was the one to get hurt and how she would get hurt. So enjoy :3
Nayeon had taken the School Meal Club to a playdate in the (G)I-DLE dorm, so the 96’ and 97’ lines had stayed home a little bit bored, they were all lounging on the sofa trying to kill the time ‘watching’ the TV, in reality their attention wasn’t on the show, that was until an interesting commercial came about a new indoor playground with an array of activities to do, from go-karts to a huge slide, ball pits, a mini-mart, and so much more. With a wicked grin they turned to face each other, and that was how the plan came to be; they went to their rooms to change into warmer and comfier clothes to be able to play to their hearts’ content, now they were ready to go and enjoy, not before Jeongyeon told them to get a extra change of clothes since you never know when it would be needed.
The ride there was filled with excitement coming from all of them, talking about what they were doing once they arrived, it was clear to anyone that the girls had regressed on the way, but Jeong wouldn’t have any other way, her children's enjoyment was the most important thing. Upon arrival, she paid the entry fee and everyone ran to the activity they wanted to do, Mina took her hand and guided her to a fighting robot mini arena, you had to get into a robot and try to shoot the rest of the players; the next activity was playing in the Mini-Mart with Sana who was a very strict employee, you were supposed to not take more than 10 items and she was willing to make everyone follow the rule; after playing with Sana, MoHyo intercepted her and took her to the Go-Karts for a race.
When they got off the racetrack after Momo’s win, Jeong got a call from Nayeon asking how they were spending the day at the playground, Jeong went on a rant about how in the future they should bring all the girls since they had also a lot of amenities for the babies with soft play so they wouldn’t get hurt, they even have a nursing room in case they would need it. Jeongyeon spent a while on the phone talking with Nayeon until Momo came running, rambling about something in Japanese, “Mommy quick Mina got hurt I’m scared, it looks bad! Please come quickly, she’s crying a lot!” yelled Momo in a rush pulling Jeongyeon’s hand toward the giant slide, from what she could decipher Mina was hurt, so she rushed there and found Mina on the floor sobbing while clutching her leg.
When she tried to pick Mina up to take her to another place to check her better she let out a piercing scream, so she put her back on the floor and called the emergency service of the playground to check her up and see how serious the injury was. Meanwhile, she got Momo to calm down enough to tell her exactly what had happened, turns out a boy had pushed Mina down and her leg got tangled on the way down and she hurt it; she went towards the boy and demanded why he had done that, he responded that she had taken too much time and he was bored, she located his adult, and told them about exchanging numbers because they needed solving for the issue. After checking her, the emergency staff told her that she had to take Mina to the hospital to get xrays taken because her leg was swollen rapidly, she sent Momo out to find SaHyo so they could all get going, while she picked Mina up and went to grab the rest of their things.
On the way to the hospital, she called Nayeon, “Yeoboseyo? Everything okay Jeongie, you ended the previous call so abruptly” asked Nay with concern laced in her voice, “No jagi, Mina hurt her leg, some boy pushed her and she fell on her leg” replied Jeong throwing glances at the back seat where Mina's leg was on top of Jihyo’s lap being held by the latter, “Tell me you got that boy’s name to have a nice talk with him” mention Nayeon with a saccharine tone. With a low chuckle at her girlfriend's antics, “Of course, I got his adult’s contact info to get a resolve for this later” she responded proudly, “Anyway I was calling to tell you what happened, and where we going. I’m taking her to the hospital near Yongsan, just so you know, ok?”, “Arraseo, let me grab the girls and we’ll be on our way. Love all of you, and keep me updated please love” pleaded Nay, and with an ‘okay’ they hung up.
Once at the hospital, Jeong rushed the girls to sit down in the waiting area while she went to sign Mina up, she told the nurse about her being in Little Space, and who is the doctor they normally see when the girls are little; the nurse told her that he had been paged and would come down in a moment to give her an evaluation, and in the meantime they should wait seated until they are called. While waiting came Nayeon carrying Tzuyu who was snoring away, with her sister in tow pushing DubChae in their stroller who were asleep as well, “Jeongie!? Jeongie where are you!? Oh, there you are. What did they say about Mina” exasperated yelled Nayeon trying to find her family, depositing a kiss into each one of their foreheads, and a big smooch on the lips of Jeongyeon, “The doctor has been paged already so we’re waiting for him, the nurse told me to wait here and that the doctor would come to retrieve us once he came to check Mina. So come sit here with us” responded Jeong patting a seat beside her, after saying a greeting to her sister in law.
They had to wait around 15 minutes more until Dr. Ahn came, he took them to a cubicle and gave a quick examination of Mina’s leg, “Okay I can see that the inflammation is considerable and since there’s much tenderness to the touch I would believe it’s broken, so I’ll need to take an x-ray to make sure of my suspicion.”, he told NaJeong before turning to Mina, “It’s that okay with you gongju? If you want to either one of your eommas can come with you” he calmly said finishing with a smile to ease the little girl's tension, after getting a tiny nod from her, he told a nurse to take her to the x-ray room and bring her back to continue with her treatment.
Jeongyeon was the chosen one to accompany Mina, while Nayeon stayed with Dr. Ahn so he could begin telling her the treatment plan, “Ok Mina eomma, the plan is putting her in a cast in case of the leg being broken, which is the most probable, I’m also giving her painkillers, anti-inflammatory to help her recover quicker. If it’s fractured in half, or if it’s only a hairline fracture, either way, she must be resting for at least 2 weeks that leg, which means not putting any weight on it, after that time I would like to see her again to re-evaluate the leg and if she follows all the indications she would be walking again. I’m also repeating all this again once Mina and her other eomma come back, so they also know, but this is if you have any questions before uli gongju comeback since it will be more difficult once she’s back”, he informed checking Nayeon was getting all the information, and seeing her shake her head no to the questions.
After they came back he repeated his explanation, always directing all to Mina to make her feel seen, Jeongyeon was also taken into account but she like Nayeon got everything alright, the only question MIna had was, “Can still play videogames and be with family? An’ medicine will help no hurt no more?” those were her main concerns, with a chuckle the doctor told her she was correct so the family was dismissed to go home, with clear instructions of following indications, that they should book an appointment for 2 weeks in the future, and that they could always contact him if anything arose. With everything in order they went home, where they ate some food chosen by Mina to bring her mood up and lots of cuddles from all her family.

Hey! Can you do Robin Buckley x reader going on a picnic date?
Picnic Date
Summary : It's a nice spring day that you were about to waste indoors, but your girlfriend has a great idea. Warnings : none :) Notes : robin and cute dates? sign me up (thank you for the request <3)
It was spring break, the time when all teenagers threw parties, went on vacations, escaped school for a bit. And you were spending your time laying around your house and doing nothing. Super fun, right?
It was the third day of your spring break and you were doing your usual routine. Wake up, eat breakfast, get ready to go nowhere, and set up camp in front of your t.v. for a marathon of whatever show was on. You were waiting through a commercial break when your doorbell rang.
You sighed and got up. "Coming!"
You shuffled to your front door, unlocking it and opening it.
There stood your amazing girlfriend, Robin. She smiled when she saw you. "Hey there, haven't seen you in a bit," she said.
"Sorry, I've been busy watching t.v. all break," you replied with a laugh. You glanced down and noticed the basket she was holding, your head tilting to the side with confusion. "Is...is that a picnic basket?"
"Yeah! I biked over here so that we could have a picnic and take your car but, uh..." Robin trailed off, looking at your empty driveway.
"My parents took it for the week. Said they needed it for a work trip."
"Aw, that sucks. Guess we have to bike there!"
You rolled your eyes and giggled. "I'll be right back, let me grab my things."
Robing leaned forward and kissed your cheek, leaving you blushing as she went back to her bike. You touched where she had kissed as you turned away from the door.
Now, with a pep in your step, you quickly pulled on your converses and grabbed your spare house key. You walked outside, making sure to lock the door, then went to your garage to grab your bike. You walked it over to Robin.
"Man, you take forever," she teased.
"Shut up," you replied, smiling as you nudged her.
The two of you mounted your bikes and were off.
--
Robin led you to a park next to a lake. Kids were playing on the playground while their parents watched from benches, some older women were walking on a nearby path while middle schoolers zoomed by them on skateboards.
You and Robin locked up your bikes and she grabbed the picnic basket. "Come on, let's find the perfect spot."
She took your hand in hers and the two of you walked down towards the lake, away from everyone else.
Once you two found a place to sit, Robin handed you the basket while she laid out the red and white checkered blanket. You sat down next to her and opened up the basket.
"Okay, so I have sandwiches from that one deli you like, fruit, and..." Robin paused for dramatic effect as she pulled out a small container. "Ta-da! I made cookies! Or attempted to make cookies, I'm not sure how well they turned out. They may be a little underbaked but-"
You cut her off with a quick peck on the cheek. "I'm sure they're fine, Robin. And if they are so bad, then at least we'll be sick together."
She beamed at you before handing you the sandwiches. The two of you ate in silence, watching the sun reflect off of the rippling water of the lake.
Soon, your sandwiches were gone and so was the variety of fruit Robin packed. You were eager to try the cookies she made, even if they wouldn't be the best thing.
"You sure you wanna try one? This was like, the only time I managed to bake something and not basically destroy the kitchen, which may be a good sign but it may not and-"
"Robin, babe, I'm sure they're fine," you said softly, smiling and grabbed a cookie from the container.
You took a bite and Robin watched and waited for your reaction. You chewed a bit, then nodded.
"Not bad, Rob," you mumbled with your mouth full of cookie.
She smiled. "Really? You're not joking?"
You swallowed and shook your head. "Not joking, these aren't half bad."
Robin squealed and tackled you in a hug. You giggled and held onto her as you two fell back onto the blanket. After a second, she pulled away but quickly kissed you. You smiled into the kiss, tilting your head to the side as you did.
"You make me so happy," Robin whispered once she pulled away.
"You seem more happy to have made cookies."
"Hush, you're ruining the moment."

The Future of Commercial Indoor Playgrounds: Trends to Watch
The world of commercial indoor playground is evolving rapidly, with new trends and innovations reshaping how we think about children's play spaces. Once characterised by simple slides and ball pits, today’s indoor playgrounds are immersive, engaging environments that integrate cutting-edge technology, promote inclusivity, and embrace sustainability. As businesses seek to enhance user experiences and parents look for safer, more enriching play options, these key trends are shaping the future of commercial indoor playgrounds.
1. Technology-Enhanced Play: The Digital Playground Revolution
One of the most significant trends driving the evolution of indoor playgrounds is the integration of technology. In a digital-first world where children are increasingly tech-savvy, indoor playgrounds are using innovations like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and interactive play panels to enhance traditional play structures. These technological advances allow children to engage with their environment in new and exciting ways.
For instance, AR-enabled play areas can project interactive games onto walls and floors, allowing children to "chase" virtual objects or complete puzzles using touch and motion sensors. Interactive screens integrated into play areas can adapt to different age groups, offering educational games, trivia challenges, or creative drawing activities. These digital experiences are designed to foster physical activity while also stimulating cognitive development.
Why It Matters: Technology-driven play encourages a blend of physical, mental, and social development, creating well-rounded play experiences. For businesses, it presents opportunities for partnerships with tech developers and can serve as a unique selling point that sets them apart from competitors. Furthermore, the use of technology can be a draw for parents seeking more than just passive entertainment for their children.
2. Inclusive Playground Design: Play for All Abilities
Inclusivity in playground design is no longer an afterthought—it’s a priority. Modern indoor playgrounds are being designed to ensure children of all abilities can play together in a safe and welcoming environment. This means designing structures that accommodate mobility aids like wheelchairs, sensory play zones for children with autism, and equipment that supports children with various cognitive or physical challenges.
For example, sensory play areas might include tactile walls, soft lighting, and calming sounds to create a soothing environment for children with sensory processing disorders. Play equipment, such as wheelchair-accessible swings or merry-go-rounds, ensures that no child is left out of the fun, regardless of their physical abilities.
Why It Matters: Inclusive playgrounds promote social integration and empathy among children. From a business perspective, creating inclusive spaces widens your audience by appealing to a broader demographic, including families with special needs. This not only increases traffic but also builds goodwill within communities, as inclusivity aligns with values of fairness, accessibility, and diversity.
3. Sustainability in Materials and Design: Green Playgrounds for a Greener Future
As global awareness of environmental sustainability grows, commercial indoor playgrounds are increasingly adopting eco-friendly practices. From the materials used in construction to energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, playgrounds are reducing their carbon footprints while still providing a fun and engaging experience for children.
Recycled plastics, sustainably sourced wood, and non-toxic paints are becoming common choices for playground structures. Some companies are even experimenting with playground equipment made from natural materials, like bamboo, or offering modular designs that minimise waste and allow for future upgrades. Additionally, sustainable energy solutions, such as solar panels and energy-efficient lighting systems, are being integrated to lower operational costs and reduce environmental impact.
Why It Matters: Sustainability is no longer a niche concern—it’s a growing expectation, especially among younger generations of parents who prioritise eco-friendly choices. By adopting green practices, playgrounds can attract environmentally conscious customers, differentiate themselves in the market, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
4. Modular and Flexible Spaces: Adaptability for a Changing World
Flexibility in design is another trend gaining momentum in the commercial indoor playground sector. As consumer demands and societal trends shift, businesses are looking for ways to keep their play spaces fresh, adaptable, and able to cater to multiple age groups or interests. Modular playground systems, which allow for easy reconfiguration, are an ideal solution.
For example, playgrounds might feature climbing walls or obstacle courses that can be rearranged to suit different themes or events. Modular play structures allow for frequent updates without the need for expensive renovations, keeping the playground engaging and relevant. Additionally, such spaces can be adjusted for various uses, such as hosting birthday parties, educational workshops, or community events.
Why It Matters: Flexibility in design allows businesses to stay agile and responsive to changing trends. Modular spaces enable playgrounds to offer fresh experiences regularly, encouraging repeat visits and longer customer engagement. For businesses with limited space or budgets, modularity maximises functionality while minimising cost.
5. Health and Safety Focus: A New Era of Hygiene and Cleanliness
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, health and safety have become paramount concerns for commercial indoor playground operators. Enhanced sanitation protocols, contactless payment systems, and redesigned layouts to promote social distancing are now essential features of the post-pandemic playground. These changes aren’t just temporary—they’re expected to remain critical components of indoor playground design moving forward.
New cleaning technologies, such as UV light sanitation systems and antimicrobial surfaces, are helping to ensure that playgrounds are safe for children. Ventilation systems with air purifiers and HEPA filters are also being installed to improve air quality and reduce the spread of airborne pathogens. Additionally, contactless entry systems and cashless transactions provide a safer, more efficient way to manage customer interactions.
Why It Matters: Health-conscious parents are looking for reassurance that the spaces their children play in are safe. By prioritising hygiene and safety, businesses can build trust with customers and demonstrate a commitment to their well-being. Moreover, adhering to the highest safety standards can help mitigate risks and protect against potential legal issues.
6. Themed Playgrounds and Immersive Experiences: Creating Magical Worlds
Another exciting trend shaping the future of indoor playgrounds is the rise of themed environments. These playgrounds are designed to transport children into imaginative worlds where they can explore, pretend, and interact with fantastical surroundings. From enchanted forests to space stations, themed playgrounds are becoming increasingly popular as they offer unique, story-driven play experiences.
Some playgrounds are even collaborating with popular franchises or local attractions to create branded play environments. For example, a jungle-themed playground might feature treehouses, hanging bridges, and animal sculptures, allowing children to go on a “safari adventure.” These immersive experiences encourage creative play and keep children engaged for longer periods.
Why It Matters: Themed playgrounds create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits. For businesses, themed environments offer opportunities for cross-promotion with other local attractions or brands. In an era where parents are seeking more interactive and immersive experiences for their children, themed playgrounds can provide a significant competitive advantage.
7. Educational and Skill-Building Play: Combining Fun and Learning
The concept of "edutainment" (education + entertainment) is becoming increasingly prevalent in commercial indoor playgrounds. Parents are seeking out play spaces that not only entertain their children but also provide opportunities for learning and development. As a result, playgrounds are incorporating elements that encourage cognitive, social, and physical skill-building.
Play areas dedicated to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) education, for example, are becoming more common. These spaces might include building stations with blocks, magnetic tiles, or coding games that challenge children to think critically and solve problems. Similarly, creative arts areas allow children to explore their artistic talents through painting, sculpting, and performing.
Why It Matters: Educational play resonates with parents who are looking for enriching experiences for their children. By offering a combination of fun and learning, playgrounds can position themselves as both recreational and developmental spaces, attracting families who value both. This trend also allows businesses to partner with schools, camps, or educational organisations to expand their reach.
8. Community-Centred Playgrounds: More Than Just Play Spaces
Finally, commercial indoor playgrounds are increasingly being designed as community hubs, where families can gather and socialise. These spaces often include amenities like cafés, comfortable seating areas, and free Wi-Fi, making them attractive destinations for parents as well as children. Some playgrounds also offer multi-use spaces that can host classes, workshops, and family-friendly events, such as birthday parties or educational programs.
For example, a playground might host parent-and-child yoga classes or storytime sessions, offering families a way to spend quality time together while also providing children with new learning experiences. These community-centred playgrounds go beyond play—they become destinations for family bonding and local engagement.
Why It Matters: Creating community-centred playgrounds helps foster a sense of belonging and encourages longer, repeat visits. By offering additional services such as classes, events, and cafés, businesses can generate multiple revenue streams while building a loyal customer base.
The future of commercial indoor playgrounds is full of exciting possibilities. From technology-enhanced play to sustainability, inclusivity, and themed environments, the trends shaping this industry reflect broader societal shifts toward innovation, diversity, and eco-consciousness. By embracing these trends, playground operators can create dynamic, engaging, and safe spaces that meet the needs of modern families while standing out in a competitive market. As we look ahead, it’s clear that the future of indoor play is bright—and full of opportunities for businesses willing to innovate and adapt.
