2025 Project Updates!

Heyyy people! It's been a busy few months and a while since I've given any public update on what I've been working on, so here's that now woohoo.

ODDBALL ADVENTURES

FINAL EPISODE: EVICTED

We're still working on storyboards, but I have a little jump on animation. We posted a preview of it on the channel back in November. We also wanna get started on a special side project for it too, and that'll be a surprise teehee. Here's a few more board previews oooh.

SUBWAY HOTDOGS

Also shared a preview for this back in November. We've had this audio laying around for a while and we finally got to it boarded by the amazing Anselmo and staticbrain_tv. This will be a slightly longer short and have limited animation like the Christmas Spirits video last year.

WORK IN PROGRESS

PILOT

So what's going on with WIPToon? Last year I got the first quarter of it all animated! 2 and a half minutes of animation are done. Before I got back to boards, I wanted to do re-write of the second half. I think it flows much better now thanks to the help of @commanderrcat.

Everything is thumbnailed and I'm working back on storyboards in-between my other freelance work. Here's some previews!

SNOW DAY SHORT

A few months ago I had a cute little idea for a WIPToon Snow Day short. A few weeks ago, @commanderrcat, @fishiecomics and I finally got around to writing it. Without those two it'd probably stay just in my head haha. It still needs a board artist but hoping I can work on that on and off in-between the pilot.

MORE STUFF

I've been working on a music video on and off for about a year or so- actively since about November (A lot of that time was just finding a visual style I liked for it). I'm like 60% animated with it and hoping to finish it soon :D

I've been busy on a lot of projects last year. I was a cleanup artist for The Boys: Paranormal Paranoia, I've been doing a lot of animation for TheAmaazing, and I was even the lead animator for Eddsworld's latest episode, Pinheads. Aside from one post I didn't talk about it much because I took my break right after, but it was great to lead the team as a proper animation director and have an even more direct hand in designs and visual style. Maybe I'll post a few concept arts and layout drawings in a future post, who knows.

Been a busy few months working on stuff behind the curtain. I'm excited to share all these new things coming. Have a happy new year everyone!! xoxo -PB

Since the last Indie Anim Day, I've made great progress on storyboards, are currently 1/4 done with them, along with all the rough audio complete!

When we're not making this show we're busy working on a web-comic, Operation Lost Cause! We just started posting chapter 1 today and you should totally check it out.

OddBall Adventures is a comedy-drama fantasy adventure cartoon about three delinquents finding themselves in mischief, just trying to survive their crazy world.

I started this in 2014 on LittleBigPlanet with my two friends Dave and Caleb, and was ultimately got me into animating and writing in the first place- and since then I've made over 2 hours of animation with our incredible team and I'm just so joyful. Check it out!!

Work in Progress is a teen comedy-drama, coming of age, animated series. Set in Washington State during the late 2000’s and early 2010’s, Work in Progress follows four friends dealing with the pressure of adulthood looming just over the horizon.

These are characters I've had for over 10 years and a story I've been tinkering with for a long time. The more I grew with the characters, I realized I just really wanted to tell a story about the different ways teenagers develop and the melancholy of maturity. We're all a Work in Progress of tomorrow selves! I took influence from various coming of age and slice of life comedies, most notably Freaks and Geeks and Lucky Star (weird combo but roll with it). I'm currently working on the first episode in my free-time! You can follow the production and making of it on it's Tumblr. I also post art of the characters all the time on here soo...

Operation Lost Cause is a drama thriller web-comic created by myself and @commanderrcat. Looking to find direction in his life, 22-year-old Louie Martin makes the decision to enlist in the military. Despite his lack of athletic prowess, his technological skills quickly catch the attention of the infamous General Arthur McCoy, who takes the young private under his wing.

Like all my projects this is a story that's become deeply personal to me to tell about struggling to find your place in the world and acceptance. Commander and I are both 50/50 on everything and it's just been a blast to work on. If you like comics about traumatized people and cute birds this is the comic for you!

Hiii everyone!! @commanderrcat and I started posting our web-comic to Tumblr now!!

I thought I'd give a little catch-up and history on the development of it. Those in the Eddsworld fandom may recognize our protagonists and get confused.

The characters of General McCoy and Private Martin were first created in 2014 for the ill-fated Eddsworld Fan Movie. Of which for its final few years I was co-director and background artist on.

After several years of development and then cancellation, the characters ended up in my lap. Cat and I made the characters our own, completely independent of their original Fan Movie counterparts. As such, this is not an Eddsworld fan project or affiliated with Eddsworld in any way.
