Bible verses for the Loss of loved one(s)

Hello friends,

sorry for not being active on here for awhile. I've been busy with uni , but also my dad suddenly passed away on Oct 30. It was quite sudden and things won't be the same, but I have come to terms with his passing and try to look at all the good memories I had with him rather than the not so good memories.

Below are a few verses that might be comforting to those who are experiencing a similar situation :) <3

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
