Loc’d and Loved

I finally did it! On June 8th, I started my loc journey. I don’t really know what motivated me, but I just took a leap of faith. I think I was nervous about the ugly stage, but I realize my journey is dedicated to self-love. If I have an ugly stage, I’m just going to embrace and love my ugly-ass. 

I will say that I faced my first test of many to come when I had concluded my weekend and had to go to work.

 I could barely sleep that Sunday night –tossing and turning wondering what my coworkers and clients will say. There was definitely no hiding! To my surprise, my coworkers and clients were very supportive. My boss, who always comments every time I change my hair, reacted in a cool way and say “Always surprising us with something different, I like!” With the support of my family and my work family, I definitely feel as though I can endure all the obstacles and stages I’ll face. 

With this amazing support, I also thought I would share my loc journey on tumblr. Now that I am loc’d it seems that time is going by really slow. I think documenting my days on tumblr will help me. So, hello loc’d tumblr community. I’m excited to share my journey with you.

Soooo many of you have encouraged me over the past few months to make a YouTube channel and I did it!!! (Fun fact: I created a channel back in 2011 and did NOTHING with it. 🙄) it really has taken a lot for me to get to this point! I can be very social but I’m truly an introvert! Stepping out of my comfort zone is such a big deal but I’m ready to do it! So be nice to me! Lol.
