My favourite scene: Becky in Ireland, calling Seth and then getting chastised by her mom for being up too late (or on the phone too early, whichever). I just thought it was a cute moment.

My favourite chapter: Chapter 3 (see above).

Hardest scene to write: Seth turning Becky down after she first kisses him. Obviously, from her POV, it would be disappointing, but considering how head over heels he is for her IRL, it's hard to imagine him turning her down.

Favourite character to write in the fic: Probably Becky. On TV, even when she's the underdog, she always seems to have a sense of confidence, so it was neat to write her feeling less sure of herself.

Favourite dynamic to write in the fic: It was fun to write Becky/Seth with Becky being the one in pursuit, but I also liked writing about her friendship with Cesaro too.

Why I chose that title: At that point, I had written enough Becky/Seth stories that I decided to have a title for each letter of the alphabet (hence Zampata), I didn't have Y yet, and I thought it fit since they had known each other for years.

A fun fact about the fic: The details of the "breakfast in bed" scene were highly influenced by the cover I made for the story on Wattpad. I knew the kind of image I wanted but I couldn't find it, so that was the best I could manage and I shamelessly incorporated elements into the story. ;)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I really try to, I just forget cause I forget everything. When I first started in the GoT fandom, yes, every comment, but it got really overwhelming!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hopelessly. Endlessly.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All my other fics are happy!

8. Do you get hate on fics? LMAO! When I made Jaime/Sansa one of my couples on LotB… the hate was insane. Then Catch Me Where I Sleep was also a hatefest!

9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind? Yes. Yes I write smut. And I guess I write pretty tame stuff compared to some of the shit I’ve read recently.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Ok, so I have two crossover fics. Both in the marvel universe with got. One for got and black Panther written with @frostbitepandaaaaa and another got and Thor.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.

What are your top 5 favorite Seth and Becky stories/moments??

Thank you for the ask! I haven't really read any fanfic because I don't want to unintentionally steal anyone else's ideas, so I'll go off real-life/on-screen moments. In no particular order, some of my current faves:

When Seth teased her about not being able to count reps. (One of the many videos that I recently realized DID NOT save properly in my folder. BOO.)

The Royal Rumble 2019 hugs. (Especially with the confirmation in Becky's book.)

Their WrestleMania 35 hugs. They were both so proud of each other.

The story of their first kiss as told in Becky's book. It's made me laugh every time I've gone back to the book while editing my oneshots.

Not really a moment, but... just Seth being so openly, unabashedly, happily in love with her. Calling her his wife so early on. Designing her ring. Constantly singing her praises. It's so lovely to see.

HOW QUICK THE SUN AO3 / dreamwidth

My favourite scene: Maybe when Becky's family first arrives? Seth's had a lot of disappointing neighbours by that point, so to see the spark of something better is always a treat.

My favourite chapter: I'm going to be so bad at these, because I never remember! After a quick skim, I'll say chapter 5, because it has them practicing wrestling (non euphemistically, even!) and their first kiss.

Hardest scene to write: I honestly can't remember, because it's been a while, but probably when they had to say their goodbyes.

Favourite character to write in the fic: Seth. There aren't a lot of characters, but I think I just identified with Seth a bit more this time around.

Favourite dynamic to write in the fic: Becky/Seth, obviously, but I liked the bits with Becky and her brother too. I'm also a younger sibling, so I'm well versed in "be as annoying as possible to get your way".

Why I chose the title: I know Becky (actual Becky, that is) likes Pearl Jam and I thought I'd read that she liked the song "Black", so I tried to pick a lyric from it.

A fun fact about the fic: Well, it was recently removed from Wattpad for "underage sexual content". Other than that, this seems to be one of my more popular fics, and I'm still not sure why. I've seen people talking about it on twitter but aside from one time (where the person couldn't remember the title) I generally don't add to the conversation.

Becky Seth chrismases

I know I did some Christmas stuff for them, so it's probably repetitive. I tried doing a scene for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Excerpt from 2022:

"We seeing Uncle Jon and Auntie Nee and Nora?" Roux's legs kick happily in the backseat, as if she hadn't just led her parents on a merry chase through the airport that nearly made Becky lose her voice and almost gave Seth a heart attack.

Becky turns around to face her and nods. "That's right. We're visiting them for Early Christmas."

Roux throws her hands up in delight. "I love Early Christmas! So many!"

"That's right," Becky laughs. "You get a lot of Early Christmases. We're lucky to have such a big family and so many friends."

Roux nods sagely. "Yeah. We lucky." Then she tries to look behind her. "Where's the presents?"

"They're in our bags, sweetheart. We'll take them out at Nora's house, okay?" Seth answers. "You can even hand them out."

"Yeah!" Roux loves getting presents, but Seth is still a bit surprised—and more than a bit delighted—by how much she loves giving them. They had started a tradition in which she would pick out toys for them to donate to a local charity that gave them to kids in need, and he is touched by how much thought Roux puts into the process. She doesn't just pick a double of something she wants or choose the shiniest toy; she even pays attention to what other kids in the store are looking at and tries to get him or Becky to buy the toy for them. "Presents, presents...." Like so much else, Roux turns it into a song, humming to herself as Seth drives them to Jon's house.

Is there a chapter, scene, or WIP you're most excited to write? Share a snippet or tell us about it!

I was working on a FIREFLY-inspired WWE AU last year. I think I wrote 5-10 chapters during Camp NaNoWrimo in July and then about 10 during NaNoWriMo in November, but it's gone horribly off track. I haven't even attempted editing it yet (which is a bad sign for me, because I like to get all my November stuff edited in December so I start the next year fresh), but it's the one unfinished story I really want to make work. Roman is the Mal/Captain of the group, on the run from The Authority and taking whatever jobs he can get to take care of his kids. Dean is the Jayne, who used to be a mercenary and still sort of is and ends up in the fight pits whenever they're on a planet long enough to punch someone in the face. Seth is the Wash, who took this pilot job under duress because his ship was destroyed, but he doesn't mind so much because it meant he met his future wife. Becky is the Zoe, who had also been a mercenary and was once on the same mission as Dean but as they were trying to kill each other, they decided they were pretty cool and decided to be friends and kill the jerks who hired them instead. Bayley is the Kaylee (and no, not just because the names are similar) and she gets very cranky when people mistreat the ship and she lets Becky and Seth's daughter hang out with her and bang on things that are so busted that a toddler can't possibly make them worse. Sasha is the Inara, except she also had a fighting background (and history with Becky). Finn and Asuka figure prominently too. Book, Simon, and River don't really have versions in my AU, because I figured having a chaotic toddler on board was enough to handle.

How are you going to be kind to yourself if you don't meet your goals?

When it comes to fanfic, I'm relatively easy on myself. I write fanfic for fun, so yeah, it sucks if a story I spent time on isn't well received, but it's not the end of the world. I've been writing fanfic long enough that I know the amount of likes/kudos/comments isn't necessarily indicative of quality. I have to be happy with what I write, and as long as I'm happy with the story, I can brush off the rest. When it comes to falling short on original-story goals, I'm admittedly not as kind to myself, so I have to work on that.

Do you plan on writing any seasonal fics?

I don't have any immediately in mind, but I'm always open to them. I'll usually do some holiday stuff for FLAMES if I can think of something. I should write more for Halloween, because there are so many fun possibilities.

"What's your favorite fic you posted this year?"

Overall, I'd probably say QUEENS OF THE UNDERGROUND. It was fun to play with a supernatural element that wasn't werewolves or vampires. I meant for it to be more of a linked series, but I suppose I could still do that.

Honourable mentions to TEMPESTUOUS (for similar reasons, except with mermaids instead of banshees and a vague attempt at pirates) and THE WIND BETWEEN THE STARS (which has flopped miserably but I expected as much because there's no romantic/sexual element to it, just weird headspace).

First of all, thanks for the ask/comment and thank you for reading my fic. I hope you enjoy them. (Also, I don't get a lot of asks, so apologies if the formatting goes weird.)

This will probably be rambly and likely a longer answer than you're looking for, so... sorry? I understand what you mean about feeling weird. I've been writing fanfic for years in different fandoms, but they were all mainly book-based, with the occasional dip into TV series or a movie here or there. I had quibbles with real person fic (RPF) and still do, in some ways. It's one of those things where everyone has a different perspective on what's okay and what's not. What makes wrestling different for me is that the wrestlers are, in a way, actors. They're characters. Writing fanfic about Ian McKellen is different than writing fanfic about Gandalf, you know? And wrestling isn't exactly the same, but it is similar. I'll use Seth as an example. Seth Rollins is Colby Lopez. But he's also NOT, in a way. When Seth is done work (whether that's wrestling, a signing, an appearance, whatever), he's still "Seth Rollins" to fans, but to his family and friends, he's Colby. I write about Seth Rollins (character), not Colby (the person). It's why I very rarely use the wrestlers' real names in my stories, and when I do, it's for a specific effect. I don't pretend to know who they are in real life or what they do, etc. I realize FLAMES may blur that line a bit, but in general I stick to details that are publicly known. I'm not going to try finding anyone's address online so I know what their house looks like. I'm not going to look up their high school yearbook.

All that is a long way of saying RPF is one of those things where everyone has an opinion about what's okay and what's not. My proverbial line in the sand will be different than yours and the next reader's and the next writer's, and that's all okay. There's not really a wrong answer.

WYATT SICKS: Bray Wyatt is one of my favourites. I'll get that out of the way. That said, the Wyatt6 aren't quite doing it for me yet. I'm guessing it's with the blessing of the family, so that's good. I'm glad Bo is able to carry on his brother's legacy, even if it's not how he would have wanted. I appreciate that the members haven't lost their original identities: Dexter Lumis is channelling Mercy, not claiming to be him, etc. But to be fair, we've only seen them in a few matches. I hope they carve their own niche in time.

YOUNG BUCKS: Not a fan. I know a lot of people I follow are fans, so I'll be polite and leave it there.

MCMG: Not familiar enough with them to have an opinion. I know they're well regarded and supposedly WWE bound. I know there's people complaining that they're supposedly starting in NXT, but I think people forget that this era of NXT isn't just development for the younger talent; it's giving the vets a chance to give back and perhaps get a taste of coaching, producing, etc. I'm interested to see what they do and how they fit in WWE's tag team scene.

CHEAT DAY: SETH'S POV AO3 / dreamwidth / Wattpad

My favourite scene: The first time Becky and Seth kiss at the Rumble... and promptly get spotted by Naomi.

My favourite chapter: Probably chapter 3 again (what is it with me and third chapters?). There's the "even playing field" thing again, but also the moments after, with Becky helping Seth with his hair.

Hardest scene to write: Seth breaking up with Sarah. Not that I have any great love for her, but their relationship was longer than Becky & Jeff's, so I imagine it was more difficult for Seth to break things off.

Favourite character to write in the fic: Seth. I usually have him being the pursuer, so it was fun to switch it up, if only for the first scene. But I think he had more of an arc than Becky did in her POV story.

Favourite dynamic to write in the fic: Seth/Becky. Again, not many other dynamics. Seth and Marek are fun to write too, because Marek's been there for the highs and lows, so whenever Seth says he needs to talk, I can imagine Marek thinking "Oh fuck, what now?"

Why I chose that title: Basically covered this in the post for Becky's POV, so... let's see. I guess I could have given them both unrelated titles, but I thought the stories were close enough that that would be cheating. (No pun intended.)

A fun fact about the fic: Um... I think it and Becky's POV have pretty equal stats on AO3? With some pairings, fans have a clear favourite, but Becky/Seth fans seem to like them both equally.

Fic answers, part 3

CHEAT DAY: BECKY'S POV AO3 / DW / Wattpad

Note: Since Becky's version and Seth's were written around the same time, some of the answers are going to be similar.

My favourite scene: The "jigsaw puzzle" part in chapter 5. Becky was teasing, but ended up getting an answer she didn't know she needed. They clearly had feelings for each other all throughout the story, but I think they become more real here.

My favourite chapter: Chapter 3. They both could have easily shrugged off what happened in chapters 1 and 2, but they make a conscious decision here to continue.

Hardest scene to write: Probably chapter 1. I mean, I know it's fanfic. We all forgive a lot of ridiculous things when it comes to fanfic, but I was struggling with making "I think my boyfriend insulted my oral sex skills; can I suck your dick and get a second opinion?" work. (NOTE: I'm not saying I DID make it work, just... you know.)

Favourite dynamic in the fic: Becky/Seth. Not a lot of other dynamics to choose from, really, but I liked the push and pull of them developing romantic feelings while still navigating their friendship.

Why I chose the title: Nothing fancy, just a play on words. A lot of athletes (or people in general) have 'cheat days', where they forgo the usual limits of their training and allow themselves a treat. Here, Becky and Seth's "cheat days" are more literal/sexual.

A fun fact about this fic: I wasn't planning on doing two POVs. Originally it was just from Becky's, but some scenes didn't feel right. Then I tried doing it from Seth's, and I had the same problem. So I tried going back and forth, and ultimately ended up writing two version, though they are pretty similar in terms of plot points. (As far as this story HAS a plot, anyway.)
