What is this AU?
The AU reimagines what could have happened if White knew Pink was responsible for the rebellion and acted with a different attitude. Instead of waiting thousands of years in her head for Pink to eventually come home, White joined her "little game" until she realized it wasn't a game anymore and never had been. White Diamond used an alter ego - Celtic Quartz - in case any Gem saw her with Rose. She was never a devoted member of the rebellion, but an ally from the outside. While playing along, White tried to convince Pink of the stupidity of the entire Gem War. That is until Pink Diamond is supposedly shattered. Such a close encounter with the death of one of the Diamonds changed something in White for good.
I don't want to spoiler anything just yet so you have to wait for this AU to blossom.

Wouldn't rose quartz be suspicious of Celtics quartz?? The similarities between white diamond. If she's not really all for a rebellion.
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear about this before.
White knew Pink was Rose, so she confronted her about it. White, just like in the series, did not take the whole rebellion seriously, she considered it a game that Pink would soon get bored of. But because of the deep care for the smallest Diamond, White wanted to keep an eye on Pink at all time. So Pink managed to convince White to join her from time to time and show her what she was fighting for.
It is then that White takes on her alter ego for their joint journeys to Earth. She never fell in love with Earth, so she never became an active member of the rebellion, the only thing she was interested in was for Pink to come home. There was never any malevolent intent behind her actions.
So Celtic Quartz was only known as an ally and/or informant among the rebels who actually had the pleasure of seeing her with their own eyes. Among others she was almost like a myth, as many couldn't believe that a Gem from the white court could join the rebellion.
Only one Gem knew the truth.
