For those wondering yes i did see that Colourpop is launching a Legend of Korra collection and yes i'm gonna grab a few items, but this time i'm not grabbing the entire collection like with atla bc some of these genuinely don't speak to me

While we're at it, let's compare the two collections

Starting with the eyeshadow palettes: seems like there's two repeat shades in the Korra palette. The shade for air and the shade for water. Other than that, the Korra palette has more shades overall, and has something i desperately wanted in the atla palette that i didn't get: a bright green.

Other than the palette, we don't have a lot of comparisons we can do, because there is not a single other type of product that's the same. The lip glosses are now lip cremes (which this time represent the animal companions instead of a female character). The four pencil eyeliners representing each main bender (leaving out poor sokka) were replaced with two liquid eyeliners representing korrasami. Two small individual highlights were replaced with one big highlighter representing the spirits (don't be fooled with what's on the image, the color will most likely be a champagne). There's no compact mirror and no face masks or a lip mask, but there are liquid chrome eyeshadows depicting the four elements.

Overall there's just have less in the Korra collection. I don't know how to feel by the fact that both Mako and Bolin were left out. Instead of leaving out only one character like in the atla one (again, poor sokka) they have now completely left out two. And to be honest even more than two, because even Suki and Iroh were represented in the atla one, and in the Korra one there is no mention of Tenzin, Lin, the airbender kids, Varrick etc. (Not that i think all these characters needed to be added, but if they did Iroh in the previous collection why not Tenzin in this one, since they play similar roles in the story?)

The only products i got from the new collection were the eyeshadow palette, the earth chrome shadow, and the spirits highlighter.

Do i think the whole collection is worth buying? Well if you don't have a big makeup stash some products are definitely worth it like the lip cremes and the palette. But if you're more of a casual makeup enjoyer and don't like doing extravagant looks i would not buy any of the other items.

Personally i already have a huge makeup stash, and the shades in the eyeshadow palette are definitely not unique. I can probably pick them out in my current collection. But i do enjoy the novelty of this collection and it being avatar themed. I also have a bunch of Colourpop's star wars palettes and their cardboard colorful palettes. What can i say, i love a good collection.
