Have Your Cake
Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Summary: Spencer notices a change in you that he tries to address Trope: Comfort; Established relationship w.c: 1.8k Trigger warnings: tackles eating disorder and body dysmorphia a/n: this is a really hard topic I personally felt the need to write about (in a way to comfort myself.) Its very personal as I used my past eating disorder here so if its something you’re not comfortable with, please go skip ahead to another fic. Comments and reblogs are highly appreciated! 💗 masterlist
Spencer wrapped the front ends of his coat tighter on his slender body. It did little to no good fending off the cool seasonal air of an October night. His scuffled loafers squeaking from his shuffling feet.
The line at your favorite bakery was unsurprisingly long on a Tuesday evening. Every night, the shop sells their remaining pastries at a discount To lure innocent commuters, tired from a long day of pushing papers. He usually wasn’t one to give in to the notion of ‘treating yourself’—unless counting out his big spendings on first editions written in its original language.
He gave the cashier a slight smile before listing off his purchase, one slice of their decadent strawberry shortcake and another of their vanilla bean sponge cake—both your favorites. And both an integral part of his perfectly thought of scheme to solve a riddle.
Your mystery.
In simple layman’s terms, they were bribery of some sort.
“Thank you,” he muttered under his breath, side stepping his way out from the throng of customers holding their own trays of pastries and back into the cold October air.
He blamed himself for not noticing the change in patterns early on. His attention otherwise preoccupied by the trauma from his time in prison and the stares that vary from judgement to pity that come from officers outside of the BAU.
No longer was he the shining, new prodigy once hailed to be, now he was just damaged goods. His downfall from grace was an adjustment.
His mind was another matter, all together—could no longer detect subtle shifts in behavior as fast as he used to.
Yes, there was really no one else to blame but himself.
As his long strides covered the way home, the moon shining down on the empty streets, Spencer thought back to the moment when he finally noticed you eating less and less.
———
You pulled down the cuffs of Spencer’s Caltech sweater, leaving only the tips of your fingers peeking through. Everything about it made you self-conscious. How it drapes down your shoulders differently from before. How it wraps around your body, sending shivers down your spine. And how it leaves the lower half of your plush thighs exposed for anyone to see—anyone to judge.
You hated it.
You hated how hyper aware a single comment from a distant relative made you feel.
**
A voice from a distance called out your name causing you to look around the aisles of grocery and come face to face with an aunt, twice removed from your father’s side.
“It is you!” She leaned in to kiss your cheek. Her choice of perfume, a sickly sweet artificial scent of oranges, wafting on your nose.
It made you want to gag.
A fake smile donned your face. “Oh, hi Auntie. What a surprise to see you back in Virginia.”
“Oh, I just flew in for my husband’s sister’s birthday. You know how we are, always booked and busy with events,” she waved her hand, the ostentatious diamond ring on her finger catching the light. “I haven’t seen you since you graduated college. You look so different now—more and more like your mother.”
“Thanks, I always did look like her,” you awkwardly laughed.
Her eyes traveled down to your feet and back up again, a tight grin on her face. It made her look vicious, condescending, causing you to catch your breath as she uttered the words that would repeat in your head like a commercial slogan you can’t get away from.
“But you were much prettier when you were thinner—” her eyebrow raised, cataloguing the items in your cart. “Might want to cut down on the carbs a little bit, sweetie.”
She poked a wound inside of you that never seemed to fully heal.
You thought you were better, all those years of talking to your therapist and changing your relationship with food for the better made you believe those dark days were behind you. But those spitting phrases veiled as words of care from a family member amplified the doubts once buried in the recesses of your mind.
“I’ll keep that in mind. It was great seeing you, Auntie.”
**
The jiggling of keys brought you back to the present.
“Love, I’m home!”
You called back from the kitchen, finishing up plating tonight’s dinner—a fresh serving of Chicken Alfredo to share. “In here, Spence!”
With a saccharine smile on his tired but beautiful face, he wrapped his arms around your shoulder for a loving hug. His pillowy lips leaving trails of kisses from your temples, to your nose, to your cheeks, and finally landing on your awaiting lips.
You giggled at his antics. “I missed you today.”
“I missed you too,” another peck on the lips. “Dinner looks amazing. Thank you for cooking.”
“It’s no problem at all, you know how much I like to cook for you.”
He brought up a mystery package to showcase, eyes tracking every minuscule change on your face. “And I brought us some dessert! Your favorites from the bakery.”
The smile on your face threatened to drop. “That’s—that’s great!”
———
You felt Spencer’s eyes on you all throughout dinner. One of the disadvantages of dating a man who earns his living by understanding human behavior and its changes—triggers, as he would like to call it, is never having the leisure of keeping a secret.
He means well, you‘d like to believe so, but that didn’t change the fact he knew something was bothering you.
It made you feel like a riddle he wanted to solve. It made you want to scream and cry.
The only reprieve you could get was within the little confines of your shared bathroom, water beating down your back muffling the sobs that escaped from your tightly pressed lips.
Everything felt too much.
The devil voices in your head listing off the calories each spoonful contains. The mathematical equation of how long you’d need to exercise to lose every unnecessary bite eaten over dinner. And the facade of keeping everything together—everything perfect.
You picked off the sides of your nails, already raw and starting to bleed.
Maybe you shouldn’t eat breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Maybe you should walk the 15 minute commute from here to the office. It would take 30 minutes but that’s additional exerc—
“Love, is everything alright?” Spencer asked behind the locked bathroom door.
You turned, turning off the shower, before hurriedly toweling off the droplets all over your hair and body. “Yes, I’m—I’m almost done!”
Swiveling around the dry area, you realized you forgot to bring in a change of clothes beyond a clean pair of underwear.
You sighed to yourself as you wrapped the towel around your chest. Still feeling uncomfortable and oddly naked even then.
“Spence, there’s still some hot water left—are you okay?” You ask, having found him sitting on the edge of the bed with a distinct frown on his face.
He stood up. Hands on your waist, shuffling both your bodies closer to one corner of bedroom.“It’s just—you know how much I deeply care for you, right?”
You slowly answered. “Yes, of course. I deeply care for you too.”
“So I have to ask, are you alright? Really alright?”
“Wha—what do you mean? Of course, I am—I’m completely fine,” you vehemently denied. The lump on your throat making you sound hysterical, even in your ears. If you couldn’t fool yourself, what chances were there that Spencer was fooled—none.
“I’ve noticed you’ve been eating smaller portions lately and you didn’t even take a bite of the cakes I brought home. You’ve also been going to the gym daily, instead of your usual five times a week. And you’ve started wearing my clothes more—not that it’s a problem. I love seeing you in my clothes but you’ve started to prefer baggy silhouettes rather than your usuals. It’s like you’re hiding your body. Are you sure you’re alright? You can tell me anything, I won’t judge.”
It was the soft tone in his voice mixed with his doe, teary eyes that caused you to break under pressure. Your shoulders shook as sobs that you’ve kept bottled up rose to the surface. It was a wave of emotions that battered through your dam of facade.
“I hate how I look—I hate that I gained weight,” you cried out. “I hate how a relative pointed it out and how her words won’t leave my mind. I hate it, Spence. I loathe it all—the voices in my head whispering how I should keep track of every meal I eat in a notebook like I did before. Telling me to never go beyond a 800 calories per day, to workout two hours a day twice! It’s just—” you took a deep breath, vision blurring from tears. “—so exhausting and please, make it stop.”
Spencer hugged you tight to his chest, as if wanting to merge you two as one to take away all your pain and sorrow. Your hands creasing his white button down with a grip so tight.
For a second, it felt liberating to let it all out. But the fleeting emotion had passed, leaving you with only shame from your admittance.
“I’m so sorry you feel that way,” he detangled himself, enough to stare into your eyes. “Love, can I show you something?”
You nodded. He slowly turned you around, back against his chest, to face the full length mirror tucked in the corner. His eyes never leaving yours as his calloused fingers reached up to the tucked ends of the towel wrapped around your body. He tilted his head, asking for your permission to which you slowly nodded.
Your naked body was in full view. Your nails digging onto your palm as you catalogued every minuscule flaw there is—the additional flesh around your stomach and sides and your hips no longer as thin as they were before.
“Do you know what I see?” He softly asked.
You bit your lip before shutting your eyes close, unable to take what was right in front of you. “Me and how I gained weight?”
He placed a kiss on your temple. “No. I see a beautiful adult woman who has curves in all the right places—”
He laid a kiss on your cheek. “I see the love of my life in her full loving glory—”
He kissed the side of your neck. “I see my future wife who loves herself and all the changes that aging and our slowing metabolism entails—”
He placed one last kiss on your shoulder. “—I see you, and I love every piece of you. And I hope you love every part as much as I do.”

Their S/O Is Twisted From Prof. Ratigan
Characters: Ruggie Bucchi, Jade Leech, Deuce Spade, and Rook Hunt Inspired By: Me watching a clip of him looking overjoyed A/N: This took me almost three days to write, it was hard, but worth it! Hope you guys enjoy this! You should totally watch The Great Mouse Detective, it is a true hidden gem in Disney films! ⚠️ Spoilers/Trigger Warnings for: Mentions of crime, plans of harming another, bribery. Also, a hair bit (not even that descriptive) of seduction topics being in Rook's ⚠️
Bits of Information on TWST Ratigan! Reader
A 3rd Year student at Night Raven College hailing from the intelligent, yet feared Octavinelle dorm. Reigning from a family centered around underground crime, they are widely known for their incredible intelligence yet-steamy nature. Beware calling them a rat- they may just throw you into the hands of their right and left-hands, Manasseh Omnia and Felix Cattus.
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
╚═════ Ruggie Bucchi ═══════════════════════════╝
🍩 As a member of a very high-ranking family, you always surrounded yourself among powerful figures. Ranging from royalty to even those involved in what your family was against, the law
🍩 Once you joined Night Raven, you were surrounded by many new characters. Both stupid and intelligent, but you had to admit, those from stupid dorms (Savanaclaw), were intelligent in their own ways. Like their unofficial Vice-Housewarden
🍩 Ruggie Bucchi was an interesting character in your opinion. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he wasn't the most dull either. You don't think anybody could be more dull then Manasseh Omina (Fidget)
🍩 One day, you were in need of some assistance with luring a couple beastmen into your scheme. They were far to hesitant with your plans in getting an upper-hand on your rival at Royal Sword Academy, so you had come to the hyena-beastman and asked for a little assistance in the matter
"What's in it for me?" He had asked, an eyebrow cocked down while the other was up, matching his interested tone.
"I shall give you whatever you want. You want food, you've got it. Money is also negotiable with any amount. My family does work in some notable places." You said. The snap of your fingers alerting Manasseh to bring out a list of things for the beastman to chose from.
"Hmm~ What can I go against here? Alrighty, Sir/Madame L/N, I can help ya' out for this all. What kind of info do you need exactly?"
🍩 After that day, you would come to him for information on any of your men inside of his dorm, and he happily accepted pretty much every offer you gave him. From helping with his home payments to giving him and his grandmother anything you need, nothing was off the table for you to give him
🍩 This exchange was one that allowed you two to grow close, and allowing him to see why your men feared you so much. He really got the point when a beastman that he knew fairly well, but didn't exactly like, was getting upset with you and called you a rat
🍩 Instead of keeping calm like the rest of your fellow Octavinelle students, you lunged at him, grabbed his collar and dragged him to look into your eyes, making Ruggie stare in both shock and fear at what you were possibly going to do to the ill-fated male
"Do you wish to repeat yourself, Zachery?" You asked him, your obviously angry gaze burning holes into his skull as you waited an answer.
"N-no, Sir/Madame! I meant to call you an intelligent leader- yes that's what I meant to say!"
"It better have been." You replied, your temper cooling quickly as you let go quickly, leaving claw-made holes in his uniform's collar as you snapped up and announced a celebratory party being held at one of your family's many homes at the ending of your school year.
"Also, Ruggie, may I speak to you in my office, please?"
🍩 The man practically sprinted to follow you into your room's small office. And despite the limited space, you made your organization work excellently with it. And when you closed the door and hung your cape a top hat on the nearby coat hanger, he noticed a slight shift in your mood. It wasn't bad, thankfully for him
"Ruggie, we have been working together for many months, perhaps a year and four months if I remember correctly. But, throughout that time I have come to feel a growing connection with you. One incomparable to any other I've had throughout my life. At the start of our bond, you were a mere piece of the machine I call my work, but now you are a heavy-hitting ally of mine, one that I value far beyond my others. What I am attempting to word is that- well, I would really enjoy it if you and I stepped up our bond from a close-knitted friendship to a possibly romantic one."
🍩 Ruggie couldn't image what you were saying was real. You wanted a relationship with him?! And not just a friendship, but a romantic relationship?
"What do you say, Ruggie?"
"Yes."
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
╚═════ Jade Leech ════════════════════════════╝
🍄 As a fellow Octavinelle student, Jade knew you far better than most students at the College. And since Azul liked your, let's just say, connections when it came to business, you grew to have a close relationship with the trio
🍄 Jade loves to mess around with Manasseh. He's just like a fish out of water, but instead of a fish, he's a bat-beastman, and instead of out of water, he's out of, air I guess?
🍄 Anyways, because of his job being the right-hand to Azul, he was normally the one to hand over some special documents that the octopus-mer needed you to look over just in case there could be a plot hole in the papers
🍄 One day, Jade had come by with maybe 10 contracts in a file, while it was quite the hard fit to carry, he was doing it relatively easily. And when he passed your two helpers, Manasseh and Felix, he just gave them his calm smile and went into your office
🍄 You had given him, and only him, allowance into your office without knocking. While if any of your other subordinates did this, you would give them to Felix as a 'little treat for being such a good helper'
🍄 Jade closed the door behind him and noticed you were writing down some information on a random student at the school. And while he normally could keep his curiosity to himself, he couldn't help but voice a question to you
"If you do not mind me asking, Sir/Madame Y/N. Who is this and what are you planning on doing with them?~" A teasing tone was evident in his voice, but you just stayed stoic and answered him without an issue.
"This little mouse was caught being a double-agent for that wretched detective at Royal Sword Academy. I cannot have any kind of holes being punctured in my blimp of operations, now can I?"
🍄 The eel smirked and nodded, agreeing. If he was in your similar footsteps he would've done the same. Though, who's to stay he hasn't done the same already?
🍄 Jade laid the papers down and asked if he could look at a photograph of the man. To which you nodded and handed him a small Polaroid of him and went back to writing down some more plans on his background. From ransacking your office one time to even stealing from you. To which these were all fabricated, but who's to say he hasn't done it without your awareness?~
"How devilishly unexpected. I have seen this one around Mostro Lounge so much more often now. What a coincidence." Jade chuckled before continuing. "You know if you wanted some help with catching this, mouse, I would be willing to do so under the right payment."
"What is it you want in return?"
"Oh nothing to extravagant, my family is quite high up on the food-chain as well. Perhaps a few extra trips of allowance from the Headmaster for me to go for some hikes to retrieve more mushrooms. Yes, that would suffice quite well."
🍄 Cocking an eyebrow and smirking sneakily back, you began laughing. Jade looked at you calmly as you reached out and grabbed his hand, bringing it into yours and interlocking your fingers tightly. You were thankfully strong enough to endure a good bit of this guy's strength
"I just love how twisted your little mind is, Jade."
"What can I say, love? I can't help it~"

╚═════ Deuce Spade ═══════════════════════════╝
♠️ Deuce has heard your surname, L/N, many times before he began his stay at Night Raven College. Back when he was a younger teenager and a member of a gang of delinquents, your family was one of their biggest connections. Meaning, your family was how most of them stayed out of the news and out of jail
♠️ When he heard your name get brought up by Yuu when he came back from a meeting with you. Deuce just froze as he remembered you being mentioned many times by his old friends for getting them out of trouble
"Deuce? Are you alright?" Jack asked, looking at the blue-haired male with a questioning look.
"Uh... y-yeah! I'm perfectly fine. Why?"
"You just zoned out when that Octavinelle person was mentioned by Yuu." Epel answered.
♠️ Deuce sighed and bunched his hands into fists before letting them go. He then looked at his friends and began his small story, explaining what your family, specifically you and your father, had done for his old delinquent gang
♠️ They were shocked to hear just how close he seemingly knew you. While it certainly wasn't person, you did have the connection through slight illegal activity
"Oh, talking bad about our boss, huh, first years?" A scratchy voice echoed.
♠️ Looking up from their friends, everybody could see a scary trio, a bat-beastman, a cat-beastman, and a fairly tall lizard-beastman, walking up to them, holding either a stern and cold expression or a teasing and scary one. Much like the eels from your same dorm
"Why, I never expected such a betrayal from a close friend of Sir/Madame Y/N's. How saddening, Yuu. For shame."
"Shut it, Felix."
♠️ Grabbing Manasseh's shirt collar, Deuce glared down at the bat-man, making him quiver in fear. He knew how wimpy he really was, he did grow up with him in the same gang
"Butt out or I'll make sure the next time L/N sees you, it'll be with more than a couple bruises on your face."
♠️ Practically throwing him down, the defeated man stood up and dusted himself off, the sound of his peg-leg hitting the ground making the only sound against the heavy breathing of Deuce and himself
"No wonder Y/N admired you so much, Spade."
♠️ You... admired him?
"Felix, Wylie, let's go."
♠️ Deuce looked back at the group as they stared with wide eyes, you may have a deeper connection than they first thought...

╚═════ Rook Hunt ═════════════════════════════╝
🏹 Rook admired you from afar ever since your first years at Night Raven. And while you were annoyed to the point that you kept Felix around you at all times, over time, you warmed up to his gaze. Maybe it was your 'slight' arrogance or your love of being admired, who knows?
🏹 This hunter began to pop out of nowhere as you would make plans on finding some members and getting the information you needed out of them. Not caring who you needed to manipulate or bribe into assisting you
🏹 But with him? He could care less about some material things and he was so admiring of you that using manipulation tactics would just waste your time and patience
🏹 As he spoke about how amazingly gorgeous you were while giving a pep-talk to your close men, he was interrupted as a nearby mouse, who was most likely illegally drinking. Classic Mewl then called your dearest Rook a 'rat', making you go stiff and make your eye twitch in hidden anger
🏹 Everyone else went silent and Rook watched as you walked up to the man and put a hand on his shoulder, slightly shaking it and patting his other with the opposite hand as you chuckled darkly, making all hearing it shiver in fear. Well, everyone other than Rook
"Oh Mewly, I'm afraid that you have gone and upset me... you know what happens when someone upsets me, don't you?" You asked, pulling out a small hand-bell and make it ring loudly in the ears of all there.
🏹 Felix then stood up, his burly muscles being more obvious as he took off his jacket and began to stock his way towards Mewl. The poor guy just watched drunkly as he was dragged away by Felix and down the hallways of Octavinelle, probably outside of the school for a 'punishment' for offending your beloved
"Are you alright, Rook? I understand how some idiot's words could end up taking a mental toll on someone." You asked, cupping one of his cheek's and making him look into your eyes.
"Oh no, I'm far from upset, chérie. Rather, I'm quite... active from your previous attitude. The way you handled him was quite admirable. La façon dont tu le regardais avec une colère si contrôlée était magnifique~" He said.
🏹 Your eyebrow went up as your eyes went halfway, a smirk appearing as you grabbed his hat and yours, swapping them quickly before booping his nose and kissing it before announcing that the celebration would now continue without the presence of Mewl
🏹 Rook just watched with half-lidded, matching your previous ones, and sighed lovingly. You really were one-of-a-kind, weren't you?
(Chérie ; Dear / La façon dont tu le regardais avec une colère si contrôlée était magnifique ; The way you looked at him with such controlled anger was beautiful )

Yandere!Illumi Zoldyck x Reader
I haven’t written my man in soo longg. i claim to be an illumi stan but i only have like two fics for the guy. im so sorry illumi your dead fish eyes are the only eyes for me i swear. Highly inspired by this drabble made by flamingtrash. The way bestie writes illumi just lamenting just sends chills down my spine.
Target
(Warnings: Yandere, stalking, murder, more stalking, planning to murder, mentions of suicide)
Kill the husband, do whatever you want to the wife.
His mission is one of the simpler ones. He considers this busy work. His target is a regular civilian, a break from the numerous other assassins, hit-men, nen-users he typically was hired to do.
Still, Illumi takes his time, because every target deserves his vigilance, his dedication. It wouldn’t be right to just finish and go. He offers each life respect.
He remembers the reason why your husband has to die. Bribery, company theft, among many other things. The men who wanted him gone needed for him to disappear completely, not a trace of him left behind.
He has a feeling you wouldn’t go away just as easily.
It was a love marriage. You two met right after you graduated college, and it bloomed from there. Coffee dates, light night strolls, candlelight dinners. Domestic activities.
You loved your husband. Though Illumi isn’t intimate with the feeling, it’s clear to anyone who’s willing to watch. You’d been married for years, yet you still get so flustered at the mention of him. Twiddling thumbs, nervous laughter.
Your husband loves you too. Maybe just as much. He’s not as quick to show it. He’s close to inheriting the company from his father. He has a lot of work to do. It’s probably why he’s doing so many gray things. Your husband is stressed. He knows one day this will all catch up to him.
That day came when Illumi was handed 20 million jennies and a picture.
He watches because making it look like an accident is much harder to accomplish than it sounds. He considers pinning the blame on you, before he discards the thought. Insufficient.
But you really did love your husband. He isn’t usually so interested in his target’s marital affairs but he thinks he admires your loyalty. You’re so loving to him. Despite the busy lives you two lead, you manage to still think about him.
Like today, when you’re setting up the breakfast table. You place two bowls, despite the fact your husband’s still asleep in the bed you two share.
He’s been busy lately, constantly running from meeting to meeting. After a bit of scouting Illumi realizes that he’s only ever in two places: at the office, or in bed with you. Sometimes, just twice since Illumi has been observing, your husband crawls into a dark alley, filled with underdwellers, whispering about their latest schemes. He barely has time for breakfast.
A routine is being set in place. You make two plates, continuing to bustle away in the kitchen as you wait for him. He’ll leave in a hurry, as he always does, yelling out a ‘bye darling’ before slamming the door shut. You’ll come out of the kitchen a few minutes later to see the bowls untouched, and then you’ll frown. Like you always do.
And that worries Illumi because when your husband is gone and if you start putting together the pieces: always rushing everywhere, constantly being stressed, not eating breakfast anymore. He’d rather you be in the dark. He’d rather not waste his time killing you too. He wants you to play the part he set out to you; the heartbroken wife wondering how her husband could do this to himself when he was always so happy.
Today, Illumi decides to intervene when your husband leaves like that for the fifth day in a row. You hadn’t even realized the intruder when he casually steps into the dining room, too busy in the kitchen. He decides to dispose of your husband’s bowl in the bushes, where the stray cats can have their fill. It’s clean when Illumi drops the dish back to its place on the table.
You come out a few minutes later when Illumi safely retracts to his usual hiding spot. He watches you keenly, noting the perceived disappointment you have on your face like you’re already preparing yourself.
And then you stop, staring at the empty bowl.
A soft smile adorns your face. Your eyes crinkle.
You look so happy, as you sit down, eating your own breakfast. It confuses him, just how happy a small action made you.
It didn’t matter. This was good. If he kept this up, your husband’s demise would be a heartbroken tragedy, rather than suspected foul play. He shouldn’t be bothered by the details.
Days later, he still thinks about your smile.
He watches you more than he does his target.
Illumi can’t help himself. You’re so distracting. He doesn’t understand why. He should have been done with this mission weeks ago but he’s still here because he can’t understand you.
You’re normal by any standard. Completely average. You work a desk job, and come back home when you get off the clock. You have normal friends. You have a normal family. Nothing you do should surprise him.
But you do, nearly every day. He realizes you have these faces you show to others. Towards your co-workers, you’re polite and resigned. People who you’re closer to, family, close friends, your husband, you’re more sincere. You smile more. It’s fascinating to watch you switch depending on who you interact with.
It shouldn’t matter because everyone has different faces. Everyone does this, this is basic socialization in regard to his targets. You aren’t special.
Sometimes, Illumi catches himself wondering what face you would show him if you two ever met.
You’re so disgustingly normal as you sit in the living room of your house, watching a TV show he hardly cares about. You don’t seem to care either, more interested in babbling on the phone to your friend about some nonsense at work.
He should just kill you off too. It would be easier, less work on his part. It’s not like his clients care about what he does with you. You are an anomaly, but in the grand scheme of things, you are dispensable, irrelevant to his job. You won’t matter.
You shouldn’t matter.
You’re clumsy, it’s a common trait Illumi has noticed. You show your skill off almost every day. Take this moment, for instance, as you get up, you nearly drop your phone, catching it in the knick of time. You laugh to your friend about it in relief and Illumi thinks you wouldn’t be a good fit within his family. He strangely doesn’t mind your helplessness, however.
He catches himself again. He curses. He really should just kill you.
It’d be so easy to, it’s not like you made it hard. You don’t have any combat experience, you don’t even realize he’s there, right behind you, watching you work away in the kitchen as you continue to talk to your friend in utter obliviousness.
He’s close enough to smell your perfume.
When you turn, he’s back in his perch, onlooking the window. As usual, you don’t spot any evidence of the stranger being in your home, close enough to touch you. You continue stirring away a dish, still on the phone.
He really should just kill you.
Illumi thinks your friends serve their purpose.
Since he is unable to interrogate you, your friends do it for him. They get you drunk in the restaurant you three had booked weeks ago, tipsy on a strain of alcohol he’d barely consider strong. It’s enough to spill your deepest secrets he could never uncover himself. A childhood past files could never tell him.
Your friend makes a comment about how the kid version of you would probably be scandalized at how you turned out. A slurred laugh bubbles out of your lips. Illumi thinks it’s the prettiest sound he’s ever heard.
“You sound just like my husband,” You say with mirth. Your friend frowns.
“Speaking of him…are the two of you okay? He didn’t show up to the dinner party last week.” Your husband hadn’t. Instead, he’d left you alone while he went to go and make more blood money. You frown, like you’re remembering it too.
“Yeah,” You murmur, “He’s been busy lately. It’s something at work.”
“Has he been specific?” Another friend presses. You look pensive.
“Not really,” You respond. They frown at eachother, casting a knowing look.
“Stop,” You say, your voice losing all humor, “It’s not like that. You two think so lowly of him. He’s not that kind of man.” And it’s true. Your husband doesn’t cheat. He bribes and launders instead.
“He’s been…really tired lately. He sleeps like a rock all night, but in the morning it looks like he hadn’t even gotten a wink. His eye bags have eye bags.” You frown, taking another sip of your drink. “I always feel so guilty, like I should be doing something.”
“Have you tried speaking to him about it?” One asks.
You smile without mirth.
“He doesn’t talk to me. Sometimes-sometimes I feel like he really wants to, but is afraid to, which is so stupid. It’s like he doesn’t know that I’ll love him no matter what he does.”
Illumi believes you. He really does. He suddenly realizes that if your husband admitted everything he’s been doing right now; you’d forgive him, you’d accept him, you’d still love him.
You’re so loyal to him. Only him. Even when your husband doesn’t really deserve it, it was love. True love.
That’s why he was so drawn to you. He wanted a wife just like you. Hell, if he had a perfect wife, he’d launder, and bribe, and steal to keep you too.
He leaves after that. The mystery was solved. He could finally complete his mission.
He wastes no time getting to your home, getting to his target.
Killing the man was easy. Illumi barely breaks a sweat. Your husband is dead, and at his feet, within seconds.
Then he waits.
He waits for you to come home, he waits for you to see the scene. He decides that he’ll let you grieve for thirty seconds. Half a minute, before he breaks your neck, and then you’ll join your beloved.
He isn’t usually so gracious, but he feels indebted to you. He’s grateful that you showed him that something like this exists. Utter devotion. He wants someone like you in his life. Someone who will smile and laugh and be intertwined with him, forever.
He’ll pay it back by giving you time with your husband. It’s the least he can do.
The door clicks an hour later. He patiently waits. Waits for you to see your lover, waits for you to scream, waits for you to see him. He’ll give you thirty seconds. Just thirty seconds.
Forty-five seconds pass.
Your eyes meet his first.
You smile.
“Hey.”
You’re intoxicated. He can smell the wine from your lips as you stumble forward, lightly tripping on your heels. He’s close enough that you fall into him. He could have moved away, avoiding your clumsy body, letting you fall on a heap to the floor.
He’s never minded your clumsiness.
Illumi stays, gently pressing his fingertips into your shoulders, stabilizing you. You’re so soft under his touch. Delicate. He’s suddenly afraid a single move might snap you in half.
You laugh, and although your voice is heavy with alcohol, it’s so light and free. You look at him, really really look at him. Your eyes are glimmering and he’s wondering if the night sky itself was etched into your eyes.
“My hero,” You say so so lovingly and it clicks.
You think he’s your husband.
Why else would you be so happy? You can’t see him that well, not with your poor eyesight, an average human’s ability. Not when you’re so drunk off of the sweet wine he can practically taste from your lips.
You don’t see the dead body right at your feet. You just see Illumi.
Still, he doesn’t pull away. You don’t either, choosing to wrap your arms around his waist, drawing him closer. You’re so warm. You fit perfectly against his body.
If he presses himself any closer, if he brings his hand up, right by your neck, and squeezes just so slightly, he’d be able to feel all of you. The blood pumping in your veins, sending oxygen, nutrients, everything that keeps you here. You’re alive. You aren’t dead, not yet. That’s why you’re so warm, not a cold corpse.
He thinks he prefers you this way.
“Sorry I was so late,” You’re slurring your words, but he understands them anyway, “I hadn’t seen the girls in a while. Hope you’re not too mad.”
He doesn’t reply. You don’t seem to care, pressing up against him again. It feels so intimate, he’s not used to this. For once, in the many years he’s lived without doubt, he’s stuck.
You managed to do that to him. Disarm him. You are surely the most dangerous opponent he’s had to face.
You’re pulling away, a pout on your lips.
“I knew it, you are mad,” You sigh, “Is there any way you can forgive me? Maybe…”
You don’t finish your sentence, pressing up, messily pressing your warm lips to his. He’s kissed before, he’s not unnerved to the notion of touch, contact.
But he can taste the ambrosia on your tongue. It’s addictive.
“Sorry,” You whisper when you pull away. He doesn’t want you to. “I’m sorry.”
You’re looking at him again, and your eyes are simmering, smoldering with a feeling that looks so dirty. You’re looking at him with absolute adoration and he strangely feels like he’s about to break.
“You forgive me, right?”
He makes his decision when you intertwine your hand in his, leading him to your bedroom. He makes sure you avoid stepping over your husband, guiding you away from the body. You’re giggling in his arms, caressing his hands. His face.
Why would he give a fuck about having someone like you when he could just have you?
When you reach to turn on the bedroom light he’s quick to intervene, pinning you against the bed. Your intoxicated mind is eager to forget, clumsily reciprocating.
He reaffirms his decision when he bites your neck, hearing you moan and writhe beneath him.
He’ll keep you. After all, he’s worked so hard over these years. He deserves an award.
You’ll love him, the same way you loved your husband, the rotting corpse he hopes will burn somewhere far far away from you two.
And if you don’t. That’s okay too. Illumi has more than enough love to go around.

🎃 trick or treat! with the rfa and gojo 🎃
Jumin:
What an intriguing cat lover. While he may seem quite prim and proper, considering he is almost a textbook ISTJ in MBTI (ignoring his cat adorations), it seems quite unlikely that Jumin has yet to celebrate Halloween.
This is exactly why Gojo is here to help break Jumin out of his reclusive shell! At first, it was cat ears, and then it was a cat tail before it ended up being an entire cat costume!
Gojo, who dressed up as a cat, made Jumin immediately fall in love with the concept of Halloween
In fact, he decided to make his company throw a cat-themed Halloween event just for this
Cat-themed haunted house, cat-themed candy products, cats in the building (for once!) It was all thanks to Gojo’s kitty scheme that the two were finally able to Trick and Treat together
This allowed Gojo and Jumin to celebrate Jumin’s first Halloween together, as the two went trick or treating across various company buildings that Jumin is affiliated with
As Jumin still didn’t understand the rules of Halloween, after he would receive candy from the poor office workers working overtime on this spooky night, Jumin would instead pay them with a hefty stack of cash (meaning that they would have no complaints on this Halloween)
Gojo dressed up as a white cat, while Jumin was dressed up as a vampire with cat ears. This was the closest Jumin could get to a cat cosplay without ruining his company’s image, which was to his dismay
Jumin would be sure to dress up as a cat next Halloween
PS. Elizabeth was also dressed up as a vampire. She had a designer cloak on designed by the most expensive designer
Zen, 707, and Yoosung:
It was 707 and Zen who arranged to meet with Yoosung. The poor college student was heavily overwhelmed with schoolwork, which meant the best way to escape from school was to go trick-or-treating!
Of course, Yoosung was initially opposed to this, as LOLOL had a limited-edition Halloween event going on! But 707’s bribery with the rare Honey Buddha Chips allowed Yoosung to miss out on the LOLOL event happily
Zen himself had finished a Halloween musical earlier in the day, which meant he was incredibly happy to extend his energy (and to just brag about his musical performance)
Yoosung and Zen decided to match costumes, as they both dressed up as werewolves (well in Yoosung’s case it was more like a puppy…)
On the other hand, 707 dressed up as Elly, which was much to Zen’s dismay. This already caused him to sneeze out loud
Zen’s sneezing instantly escalated the second 707 decided to go to C&R’s Haunted House. There, the trio ran into Gojo and Jumin (which meant instant coughs! ugh….) who were both cat-adjacent
In fact, Gojo and 707 had the exact SAME cat costume, much to each other's dismay.
Gojo and 707 kept bickering, while Jumin and Zen also decided to have an argument of their own
“Of course a rich kid like you would do this… ACHOO…!” Zen would attempt to argue, but the cat-themed building (and Gojo and 707 + Jumin’s costumes) was enough to make Zen convince himself that there were real cats in the building
It was then that the five decided to explore the haunted house to see. Gojo and 707 decided to bet who would be the first to get scared
And to no one’s surprise, it was Yoosung who was the first to want to go home
Jaehee:
Jaehee, by sheer luck, had a “day off”. This was her well-deserved break before her real “trick” began
As a “treat” for herself, Jaehee miraculously managed to secure tickets to Zen’s Halloween musical. It was the best treat anyone could ever ask for
In fact, she even managed to secure a signed Halloween Zen poster, which made her fan heart overjoyed
This happy event was soon shattered as she was called in for the C&R Halloween event, one that she had strongly argued against working for
What a trick! But of course, Jaehee, as an employee of C&R International, was forced to wear cat ears to celebrate the event
“We match, nya~!” Jaehee was greeted by 707 just after the RFA + Gojo managed to finish the Haunted House event
“Jaeheeeeeeee! That was so scary T__T” Yoosung cried out to her, which led to her sighing
But of course, this was simply another work day for her, no matter how late the shift was
Lucky for Jaehee, she would also be one of the many workers to receive a hefty bonus on this meowy Halloween
Gojo:
He got here by accident after a Halloween-themed domain expansion was activated
Since Gojo is clearly the strongest, he could definitely kill a few extra minutes in this domain
Plus, it definitely didn't hurt to have a good time with the RFA along the way, right?
Trick? or Treat? Gojo would be sure to deliver both to you!

The UNICORN Case Files
Within the lower levels of the Lurue’s Island library there is large archive of all the filed cases within UNICORN’s 500 year history. These are but a small fraction, a slice of that storied history.
Case File #2: Aubree Bordeaux Cold Case [Holographic/Wizard]
In the year 419 P.E. the Cirque du Aubree was established by Aubree Bordeaux, an apparent graduate of The College in Andromeda, and an extremely skilled illusionist. It was established in partnership with a long time companion and seemed to have funding from rich anonymous donors from Elvish nobility, however UNICORN was never able to track down who. All attempts were met with dead ends.
Aubree Bordeaux was known for his unnaturally good looks (most certainly thanks to his illusion magic), silver tongue, and the ability to put on a good show. For many decades the circus ran across the world, never staying long in one place, recruiting acts from all their travels. There were Cheongug acrobats, Andromedan sword swallowers, Jujubee fortune tellers, Sanguine strongmen, and Katharizan Wyvern tamers.
Most notable of course was the signature final act of the circus where the ringleader would lead all the acts in a choreographed performance where the illusion magic was put to the max depicting colorful insane worlds beyond ours and other impossibilites. Some rumors speculated that Aubree was indeed capable of pulling unreality or other dimensions into our own, but we never found evidence to support this. Nevertheless, UNICORN's business with Aubree was much more boring.
Aubree was guilty of tax evasion in every territory that he'd toured, larceny within Katharizo, Sanguis, and the Neutral Territories, bribery of the Andromedan Royal Guard, impersonation of nobility in Andromeda, and forgery of his College diploma revealing that he was indeed not actually a graduated wizard.
Considering that his spellcasting focus appeared to be a lute, it's an easy guess where his magical abilities actually came from. I issued a warrant for his arrest in several territories in 477 P.E. and tracked him down to the Neutral Territories where he was imprisoned awaiting his several trials. It was easy to track a man that had left a string of broken hearts behind.
However, on his way to his first trial in Katharizo he mysteriously vanished despite my strict instruction to keep him gagged and unable to use his abilities. Alas, they didn't listen thinking that without his "staff" (a cane he used as ring leader) he would be powerless. I should've escorted him myself, but I wasn't able to at the time.
Nevertheless, while there was many false reports of Aubree across the world I was never able to locate the real charlatan and the circus was disbanded. I made sure that his partner in the business didn't take the entire fall for it and achieved him a lighter sentence for being cooperative. The last "valid" sighting I had of him was a couple years later in the Neutral Territories but by the time my team got there he was gone. Or perhaps it was just another useless rumor.
A charlatan like Aubree Bordeaux doesn't stay lost forever so I'm sure he'll appear with another scheme soon. I'm a patient woman. -Signed by Lurunite & Head Captain Clarisse Bellefleur

The other day I criticized Kurt Schlichter for being a new Never Trumper because he tweeted, “Trump can’t win because 53% of Americans will never vote for him and he will lose the key states he needs to win the electoral college.”
54% did not vote for him in 2016. He won.
Schlichter also wrote, “Trump presents problems and we need to face them. We owe Trump nothing. He’s a politician.”
We owe Trump plenty. He lost billions serving as president, both in actual losses and money he could have made had he stayed on the porch.
A reader pointed out that Schlichter said he would vote for President Trump in the general election — after trying to kneecap him in the primaries. That will be too late because the damage will have been done. We must unite behind The Donald because if they can crush him, they will crush us all.
For all Schlichter’s schooling (he’s a lawyer) and all his experience (he’s a retired infantry officer) he has not learned the lesson of 2020, which is that our constitutional republic ended with the end of the Trump presidency on January 20, 2021. Marxists won by any means necessary. The electoral process was demolished by crooked ballot harvesting, late-night switcheroos and a judiciary that refused to look at evidence and stop the steal.
President Trump was our last hope and now is our only hope of restoring a republic that protects individuals from the ravages of a government so powerful and ubiquitous that the communists in Red China now envy our totalitarianism. And it will get worse.
The J6 show trials for insurrection — daring to challenge the results of a fixed election — are but one example.
Gateway Pundit reported, “A 69-Year-Old Grandma with Cancer Given More Prison Time for Walking Inside the U.S. Capitol than Hunter Biden for Sharing Classified Documents with Foreign Regimes and Multi-Million Dollar Bribery Schemes.”
The judge sentenced her to 60 days for trespassing in a public building — after the Capitol Police opened the doors for her.
Others received sentences of years. People who were not even in Washington on that day were charged and convicted.
We do not have a two-tiered criminal justice system because we do not have a criminal justice system because Department of Justice seeks vengeance, not justice. We have given the federal government great powers that exceed its constitutional authority.
The FBI lied and spied on Donald Trump at the behest of Barack Hussein Obama. Based on the FBI lies, judges issued warrants to allow the spying on a political opponent. Democrats learned from Nixon and Watergate. When it comes to spying on a political opponent don’t rely on bumbling amateurs who will get caught. Trust only the pros.

Federal prosecutors in Boston are dropping charges against two parents in the college admissions scandal known as Varsity Blues, according to a court filing Thursday.
The decision followed a ruling from the First U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacating the convictions of Gamal Abdelaziz and John Wilson who were charged with making payments to university accounts so employees would secure their children’s admission as athletic recruits.
Dismissing the charges is a rare blemish for prosecutors who won convictions in about 50 cases tied to the widespread scheme to get kids into college through bribery and cheating.
The two wealthy fathers – Wilson, a former Staples and Gap executive and Abdelaziz, a former Wynn Resorts executive – were found guilty as charged in 2021 in the first trial stemming from the scheme.

A few insights about my EDWARD NYGMA
This is a amount of hc wich who knows could became a future fanfiction or whatever.
And a few of those things compliment the canon.
At his childhood, Ed wasn't a good student, he actually dissociate alot and forgot the point of the school thing. He also was bad writing and has a poor handwriting compared to the other kids. He also thought for a good time that he was dumb because he never can properly concentrate at the classes, he never felt he was there. The absence was the great evil in his mind at that time.
During his high school he became a better student, almost brilliant for awhile when he realised that he could match the most intelligent girl at his class, actually he beat up her in a few exams so... you know, confidence came of academic validation and intellectual prises.
At the childhood (again) Ed had this experience about his father expelling him from the car a few times (something like that panel in Violent Cases?). Then, when he became a teenager and scheme the ruined of his family he did something similar with his father, but with a gun and a bribery (?).
No, I don't think he kill his parents, honestly.
He never end the high school bc he was too busy running away and becoming Edward Nygma, but he falsified his scholar documents and went in the college anyway.
During the college time he went to the theatre for extra credits (or something like that, I don't really understand the USA model of university) and there he falls for a boy for the first time.
He never enter properly in the gcpd forensic team, but he worked as consulting like a Sherlock Holmes itself. He's currently work was in the Gotham U search.
He like Escher. He really likes Escher.
That's all for now, I don't want to write more now....

SCANDAL, SEX AND SUSPICIOUS DEBTS – THE TRUTH COMES OUT
There is only one debate we care about at the moment, and that is who is the most debauched in the race to be mayor of our beloved town. Whilst we know everyone is guilty of some skeletons in our closets, nothing can be compared to what these so-called politics are hiding from us.
We have received an anonymous tip-off providing all the evidence we need to show you the real mayoral candidates, who up until now have been effectively pulling the wool over our eyes with their big promises and bright, commercial worthy smiles. This is who we’re trusting to keep our town safe, Anophtopia:
Fundamentals: The ABC’s – Allegations, Bribes and Collusion
Attorney at Law and Senior Councilman Simon Lane has been revealed to be a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. Lane, an Anophtopia native, has always given his platform to voices otherwise ignored. He vocally rallied for gay marriage, equal pay, and other important social justice matters. However, in an email leak received this evening, we can reveal that Lane can talk the talk, but does not walk with Pride. Not only have reports been exposed that he has been voting against his own propositions in council meetings, including an increase in a budget for LGBTQ+ spaces in town, but has actively donated to charities that do not support beliefs he claimed to in the past. To make matters worse, a few lost files on his recent cases have been recovered, only to expose his alleged collusion in a court of law. These are obviously serious claims against Mr. Lane, but as printed below, we have apparent proof of these statements against his character.
Hush Little Baby Don’t You Cry, Mommy’s Gonna Buy You an Ivy League
Our current mayor is not as clean cut as she has made out to be in last year’s campaign either. Though she at least stands for what she believes in, both in and out of council meetings, Deborah Gibson is not afraid to engage in some bribery of her own. Accepting bribes to grant impossible wish fulfilment schemes for council members, and bribing the top schools for her kids, including an email documenting a ten year plan for when her eldest gets to college, a certain Yale University willing to accept them when the time comes. Talk about early admission. Of course, it is strange her opponent of last year hadn’t used this against her, but, of course, we don’t tend to dig up dirt without risk of dirt spilling everywhere…
Leave Me A Loan
A lot of complaints from Michael Proctor’s tenure as mayor was simply him not fulfilling the promises he made, which was always excused as simply not having enough room in the budget. But why was that Mr. Ex-Mayor? Perhaps the receipt the leak provided, could answer that. Like with dirty clothes needing a wash, money needs laundered too, right? Money that could have vastly improved our town gone towards cars, vacations and a pesky little drug habit. Not surprising from a man who infamously backed That notable president.
Affairs of the Bank Account
Though notably not a family-focused candidate, as obvious from her business empire, it seems that Evelyn Chao is not as focused on morals either. The woman, consider The Lady of all of the ladies of the night, may have been in an happy marriage with her late husband until his death, but the relationship, as shared in the leak, may have been more of a fiscal benefit than physical. Flirty texts and photos have showcased Evelyn the star of an affair to remember, her inheritance from her deceased husband keeping her gilded the past five years. Of course, as far as we know, there’s been no political scandal up Evelyn’s well-jeweled sleeve, but the company she keeps isn’t exactly helping with forming a wholesome image in the eyes of our humble town.
Age is Just a Number
Surprise candidate Catalina Marquois also has a couple of secrets she’d like to keep secret. Whilst she was open about her first, tragic marriage and her now-strained relationship with her son, it turns out there’s some things she never wanted public. Like the records of her real ID, which report she is actually four years older than she previously declared. It seems like honesty isn’t the policy with the mayoral candidates of this town, and this cougar’s last marriage probably leaves a sour taste in the family’s mouths, as after all, the Ritchies are all about good, old fashioned values. Right, Martin?
Springtime for Ritchie
Of course, old fashioned values we’re referring to don’t include anytime from World War One to Vietnam, but Martin Ritchie, descendant of one of the oldest founding families, seems to not be as much as a pacifist as he previously demonstrated, with records showing he has been funding weapons for years, apparently a tradition his grandfather began in the 1940’s. Of course, he doesn’t believe in benefiting from war, unless it’s to claim his stake in fracking, one of the biggest financial benefits to the Ritchie Corporation and family.
Speaking of the beloved family, what is the dark secret emails and texts seem to mention in the leak? Unfortunately for us, but good for War Criminal Martin, a lot of the documents associated with such a situation have been redacted to hell and back. We could only what it would be – keeping it in the family, in every type of way? The way old, old families tend to? Or, perhaps, ownership of a plantation, much like fellow founding family O’Keefe, where we know the two family trees intertwined at some point.
A Town Called Menance (and Full of Secrecy...)
Though it’s not just the Ritchie family under suspicion for hiding their families and assumed less than stellar pasts. Long-time friend and advocate of Ritchie, and his political endeavours, Gwen Myers, seems to be playing house in our picturesque town. The leak revealed, through a data mining spam email masquerading as a survey, that just before arriving in town and enrolling at Anophtopia University, Gwendolyn Hall was actually Annabelle Halliday, hailing from Oregon to our lovely town. Now, it is of course, not suspicious for a young woman to change her name and moving out of her home state, but the past texts and emails regarding a mysterious “R” and a failed engagement do pique our interest. Is perhaps her closeness with the Ritchie family due to them helping her clean her image up?
Of course, our other founding families aren’t exempt in this exposing report. As shown in a series of emails involving a family lawyer, our friends the Bass family, known for their shipping company expanding across the state, in fact lied in their public statement a few years back about their darling Emily moving to Washington to pursue a career in politics. Emily is actually right here in town, pursuing the stars and the spirits, under her preferred name Emerald Moonlight. I guess not every rich kid is a nepo baby.
Speaking of nepo babies though, Aurelia Florez being the black sheep of her influential one isn’t exactly a surprise. What is though, is news of her arrest not too long ago? All charges were dropped, obviously, but we’re surprised that such old-school parents of hers are letting her take charge of their flagship hotel, unless the Florez’s are making extra money in the drug distribution business as well as hospitality.
And hospitality and drugs do go so well, such a perfect pairing, like a merlot with a steak. Ezra Anders obviously know what we mean, as he himself is reported to have declared bankruptcy on Vino Restaurante due to the fact he and his team of well-skilled chefs have a little fascination with snowy weather. It makes you wonder why the upmarket Italian is so, so addictive, right? However, despite the claim, he retracted the filing after seemingly finding the money he was looking for. It makes you wonder how dangerous the life of a chef can be.
We are sure more secrets of the Anophtopia public have been spilled, and we are sure they have badly affected the community, but we knew that the secrets involving our most elite members benefitting the most from the mayoral election needed to be out and exposed to the town. Though some seem petty and frivolous, you need to ask yourselves the question: why did they hide it?
And they may give their excuses and reasons, but we deserve the truth, and they need to give it to us.
