Cole(left): is the environmental specialist, he can locate anything and plan out anything perfectly

Flint(Middle): is the heavy specialist. Once hes fired up, theres nothing stopping this bulldozer of a man

Amber(Right): is the tech specalist. Shes able to hack into basically anything, and decrypt anything she finds

These 3 have yet to be locked up for their various heists

Pull of The Tides: my silly ninjago pirate au

idek where to start so.

A little after Morro runs away from Wu, he starts looking for the First Spinjitsu Master's tomb. Obviously not getting much luck, he finds a harbor town, and a strange demon woman who promises to help him exact his revenge on destiny. Resuming his search for the FSM's tomb, he turns to the seas after hearing rumors the tomb is at the bottom of the ocean, and starts a small but strong group of pirates on a stolen boat.

A few years later, he raids a village through it's rivers for rice and money, and finds a blacksmith shop with a small boy challenging him with a crude sword. His smaller sister stands behind him, yelling at him to get out.

Instead of fighting them, Morro takes them with his crew and raises them like siblings, learning they have elemental powers like him: the girl controlling water, and the boy controlling fire. Immediately Morro begins training them in combat and helping them control their powers, both so that they can be of use to him and so they don't sink his ship. The girl, being named Nya 'Waterwalker' Jiang, and the boy named Kai 'Flint' Jiang.

About 10 years go by, and Wu becomes very confused to find an empty blacksmith's shop, one that looks like it's empty for quite some time. Asking nearby neighbors gets him dead ends and more confusion, so he goes back to the monastery empty handed and continues training his own students, Jay, Cole and Zane.

However, when they get an emergency letter from a coastal village asking for defense from pirates with elemental powers, things start to click. Wu finds a familiar face on the captain draped in green commanding wind, and two others who bear a striking resemblance to his missing friends, Ray and Maya.

Wu tells his former student that whatever he's looking for, he'll have to go through him and his students. Captain Morro informs him that his quest for his father's tomb has been abandoned, and his crew is now looking for something- or someone- more powerful: the green ninja.

It becomes a race against each other to find whoever and wherever this green ninja is, with Morro somehow ending up with another kid who says he's the son of Lord Garmadon himself. He's a brat. Morro's not too sure why he's still on the ship.

Other Emperors AU — Ninjago

So. The beloved Ice Emperor. The corrupting potential of the Staff of Forbidden Spinjitzu + Amnesia + Vex.

Now what if the Ice Emperor came in other flavours?

That’s right, introducing the Other Emperors AU, a collection of different “What ifs” for if other people had been zapped with the staff by Aspheera!

Different Versions:

Earth Emperor / King of the Underworld = Cole

Lightning Emperor / Thunder God / Lightning Striker = Jay

Fire Emperor / Western Wildfire / Fire Maker = Kai

Energy Emperor / Lord of Energy / Luh-Lord = Lloyd

Water Empress / Commander of the Sea / Wrath of the Waves = Nya

Empress of Technology / Automated Empress / Overseer / The Technodrome = Pixal

Creation Emperor / Second Spinjitzu Master / The Creator = Wu

Not all of them are fleshed out (honestly most just have… one or two minor ideas, but I’ll gladly bounce ideas back and forth with people in Reblogs, comments, and/or asks!), but here’s what I’ve got—

Earth Emperor / King of the Underworld

- Got zapped into the Neverrealm instead and lost his memories from a concussion in the fight

- Vex finds him and the staff and convinces him to take it

- He raises/sinks the Earth to create a stone dome over the realm and make it a cavern of tunnels; some call him the King of the Underworld (Hades vibes) for it and he hates it even if he can’t remember why (haha forgotten Skulkin memories)

- Master of the Mountain mixed with ancient mythology vibes

- His hair grows out and becomes partially lava because come on that look just is so cool on him ; his armour is also formed of obsidian/onyx and crystals

- Difficult to anger (a very patient emperor that listens to his people whenever Vex doesn’t interfere) but if you do (usually on Vex’s manipulation) OH BOY you’re in for it now

- Built a dangerous labyrinth King-Minos-style complete with a stone minotaur in the centre that he sends prisoners/people Vex tricks him into thinking are enemies

- Is very fascinated by Kai’s fire (and Jay’s lightning) because the only light source in the caverns are glowing crystals formed from his powers or special regulated flint/coal-based fires

- He keeps Kai with him when the Ninja arrive and banish the rest to the labyrinth to “prove themselves” on Vex’s manipulation (possibly specifically dropping Jay in the minotaur room as a sacrifice because Jay made a menace of himself in the throne room)

- The Ninja make it through the traps because they’re all kinda Cole-themed (like one involves the Triple Tiger Sashay) and arrive back at the throne room after defeating the stone minotaur, much to Cole/Vex’s astonishment/ire respectively

- Cole realizes the Ninja are telling the truth and that Vex has been lying to him and ends up dropping the staff after reverting the Neverrealm back to its original state

Lightning Emperor / Thunder God / Lightning Strike

- Realizes Zane’s vision (yeah, Jay is the only person who knew Zane had a vision and he DISMISSED IT, hecking come on) is about to come true and shoves Zane out of the way of Aspheera’s shot

- Cracked his head on a rock falling through the portal and has zero memories <3 Should he be dead? Probably. But he’s Jay, so he survives, especially with his boosted element lashing out

-  Vex finds him and is so confused over the lightning appearance but realizes he can use it

- Skybound / Lightning Ruins parallels with Jay ripping up chunks of ground and making floating magnetized islands

- Has a very ominous cult following Vex leads because its Jay, of course it would happen, its not the first time

- Is kinda revered more as a ‘godly figure’ than an emperor (Vex uses his status to make orders in Jay’s name)

- Kinda unhinged, but you can blame the staff + Vex + the concussion and blood loss

- Fascinated by Cole because he absorbs/grounds lightning fine ; also fascinated by Zane who is a walking metal lightning rod

- Constantly zapping around

Fire Emperor / Western Wildfire / Fire Maker

- Lost his powers to Aspheera, battled her with the second staff, and got his butt yeeted to the Never Realm- that’s rough, buddy

- Gets his well-deserved focus season

- He really means well and just wants to keep his people safe, but unfortunately it comes across as overly possessive and tyrannical 

- Older brothers so hard that he comes across as evil/possessive and aggressive when he’s trying to be caring and protective

- Don’t have much for him because the fandom already has insanely cool Fire Emperor AUs

Energy Emperor / Lord of Energy / Luh-Lord 

- So many Lord Garmadon parallels

- ONI-DRAGON LLOYD ONI-DRAGON LLOYD

- Also a surprising amount of Morro parallels about making his own destiny

- So, so traumatized and got corrupted simply for wanting to take his fate into his own hands for once

- Punts Vex out of the castle because he’s had enough of people telling him what to do

- Kinda goes back to S1 Lloyd because this kid just wants his childhood back

- Goes from “scary emperor who’s going to execute you” to “excited little kid” the second he sees his siblings

- Taking the staff back hurts because Lloyd isn’t mad, he’s just super sad and confused and pleads with them not to do it

Water Empress / Commander of the Sea / Wrath of the Waves

- The Never Realm just became the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

- All the ice and snow melts into an ocean with islands

- Nya builds a big ol’ palace that’s both above and below the water’s surface

- Seabound parallels in terms of architecture (lots of accidental Wojira foreshadowing)

- So. Much. Rage. You anger Nya, you’re done for.

- The staff + her element amplified the ocean’s whispers and she’s kinda merged with the sea but not fully, her memories are a bit scattered

- Was going to take on Vex as an advisor because he convinced her she knew him before her memories got lost/scattered, but then her memories associate him with Krux, and she kicks him onto a lone island

- Her brothers have to face the ocean to get to her. They hate it, but they do it anyway 

Empress of Technology / Automated Empress / Overseer / The Technodrome

- Pixal gets to sacrifice herself for Zane

- While the staff doesn’t amplify powers for her, she still gets boosted strength, speed, smarts, etc., her processor running at 300x proficiency

- Is able to get the mech up and running— she DID build it, after all

- Still loses her memories from Vex’s interference, somewhat reverts to S3 Pixal

- Makes the entire realm “efficient” and rapidly revolutionizes technology

- Easily one of the scariest rulers because of how good she is at it

- Took Vex on as an Advisor because of his knowledge of the realm, then fired him once she was done. 

“But you— you cannot FIRE me! I am your loyal, most trusted advisor—” 

“And you are no longer necessary. There is more important matters to attend to.”

- It’s very difficult to dismantle her empire

Creation Emperor / Second Spinjitzu Master / The Creator

- Aspheera blasts her intended target

- Wu is sent to the Never Realm with the other staff

- The Ninja are devastated because they just lost their Sensei AGAIN just after getting him back

- Wu refuses to use the staff at first but then… well, he starts getting desperate to return. He misses his family. And his essence— creation— could be used to help the people of this realm. So he uses it once or twice, sparingly, to help the villages, to help travellers— and slowly gets more and more addicted. Why does this realm hurt the people in it? If his essence is one of creation, couldn’t he use it to… reform this realm into something more peaceful? More habitable? Remake it in his own image? Correct all the mistakes he’s made, start again, start better—

- FSM and Pilots-S2 Garmadon parallels

- His students manage to get into the Never Realm only to find it “prosperous” and “thriving”

- Bonus if there are copies of them, but the way Wu sees them— uncanny valley alert

- EXTRA bonus if there’s a fake Morro that’s based on how he was as a student / if he’d lived , and a fake Garmadon cured of venom and evil

- Breaking their Sensei out of this illusion of a perfect world really hurts

- Wu is traumatized by all his mistakes and they get acknowledged in this AU whether he wants them to be or not <3

He follows the echo of slammed doors through Skyhold until he reaches her open window. The spirit boy, Cole, is swaying by the sill.

“She’s scared.”

“Yeah.” Arden spares him a glance before he steps one leg out onto the narrow ledge. “Let me take this one.”

“Are you going to leave again?”

Arden freezes. It’s strange how he recognizes his daughter’s voice coming from beneath the boy’s hat.

The sheen of morning frost melts beneath the lightest footstep, and it's an easy climb to follow her tracks along the stone. He finds her folded up on the edge of the roof, and with a swell of sadness, he knows she is still crying. Her face is both buried against her knees and hidden beneath her folded arms. She has always run away to some hidden spot to cry, and if she can’t run, she tries to hide her tears in her hands. Today she is doing both.

“Hey.” He speaks softly, as if not to startle her, though he knows she has heard his approach. When she makes no protest, Arden sits beside her, hanging his legs down.

“I want to go home,” Celeste says without looking at him. Her voice is raw.

Arden thinks of the threats he’d made in his first meeting at Skyhold. He had tried to take her home then – the world be damned.

Yet he didn’t know where home would be for her. Would home be The Little House by the cherry orchard? In springtime, the blossoms mixed with the smell of wood smoke. Her collection of books had spread out of her room and down the spiral stairs. He’d made empty threats to turn them into stable bedding if she didn’t come down for dinner, and she’d sat at the table, picking halfheartedly at her plate until he released her with a sigh, and then she’d bolted back up to the page he’d made her abandon.

Or would it be The Woods? He had shown her how to start a fire in the rain, when the sticks were sodden and the ground was mush, because if she could do it then any other time would be easy. That had been before her magic showed itself. She had been so proud of the first sparks she made with her flint, and she had cradled the ember until it roared bright with her breath. Afterward, they had walked, silent except to whisper the names of the trees they passed: Hickory, Oak, Maple, Beech.

Or would it be The Old Field? She had learned to ride there on a fat chestnut pony. She had been fearless; she’d held her pony at a halt until he let her off the line. One summer afternoon, a big horsefly bit the pony’s flank, and the pony started running and bucking. She scraped up her arms in the fall, but she got back on before her tears had dried on her little face, gathering up the reins with determination.

Had he pushed her too far?

He wishes he could go back and make the tiny jam sandwiches she liked so much. She could stay upstairs, and he would bring her a plate of them, and she wouldn’t have to stop reading for dinner. When they went for walks, he should have let her run more often, if only for the wondrous joy of running wild. He could make the fire. And in the field, he would go back and let her stay still longer. She could be fearless once she’d known safety.

Arden’s words sound thin in the chill air. Celeste sniffs. She does not show her face.

“I know you’re strong. You don’t need to prove that.” Arden sighs. “This isn’t fair – Maker - but we’re in this together. I’m right here with you. You put it on me. Whatever you can.”

“Yeah,” Celeste croaks back, hollow. Arden feels he’s crushed whatever hope she was clinging to. He swallows.

“I’m never leaving you again.”

A fresh sob bursts from her. Celeste sounds as if she’s choking on her tears as she flings her arms around his neck, but she isn’t hiding them anymore. Arden catches her easily.

“I got you.” He holds her tight as her shoulders shake. “I got you. We’ll go home.”

"You have the Inquisitor," Solas had said. "And you have me."

Iron Bull once considered him full of shit. People say that sympathetic crap all the time, all dripping with condescension and pity and whatever else they fool themselves into thinking is empathy. But Solas is a dick, and even if Bull knows he's keeping things to himself, he's also a terrible liar. There was no lie in that promise.

And Iron Bull does have the Inquisitor. He knows that much. Despite barely reaching his belt buckle in height, Tilda Cadash is a larger-than-life force to be reckoned with, and she takes Bull's crap as seriously as she does a rasher of smoked nug flank. She doesn't pick and pry and hover and wring her hands — she waits, and she listens, and she treats him as she always has.

Solas is comforting in a different way. Their bickering over beliefs has all but quit — instead, Solas has been asking him questions, like how his people put on shirts. Iron Bull asks him if he fucks Fade-ladies. Solas turns fifteen different shades of red, and Bull wonders if they're not Fade-ladies but Fade-gents.

But then they fight one of those Fade-ladies and Bull changes his tune.

This one's important to the Fadewalker — Tilda's dragged them to the ass end of a civil war's final whimper to find her. It. Whatever. And when they discover it's turned into a demon — because of course it (she?) has — Solas loses his mind. He shouts at these mages and curses in his slippery language, and Iron Bull can't remember if he's ever heard him so much as raise his voice.

The binding falls quickly — Tilda, despite her lack of affinity for magic, seems to know exactly where to hit the spires to break them — and the spiky piece of demony horror that Iron Bull has been keeping off the others slumps, then falls. Solas runs to its side, puts up a hand to ward Bull away, and drops to his knees beside it.

It sure looks like a woman now.

He's talking to it, wringing his hands and sounding on the verge of tears. Iron Bull wants to take him away from here, away from the burning scent of death and scorched magic marks in the dirt. But he needs this.

The demon asks Solas for something, and it's like a mask of grief drops over him. Years and years show on his face, carved deep into the lines around his mouth. Bull's suddenly certain this isn't the first time this has happened to him.

That's why Tilda brought them here. That's why they rushed. That's why Solas had shouted and paced and now seemed so... dead. It's worse when he puts out his hands, and when the demon dissolves — just like the ones they kill at rifts, no different at all — Solas's face is made of flint.

He wanted to save just one, and he'd failed.

Solas kills the mages, and it's cold and dark and without mercy. Iron Bull doesn't feel anything at all when they fall — under the Qun they'd never have gotten this far, but he doesn't say that. He's not Qunari anymore anyway.

He's not surprised that the Fadewalker goes off on his own. He's a private guy, and Bull finds himself wishing he'd done the same when the dreadnought had sunk instead of drinking himself silly and making himself forget in the sparring ring. In his absence, he gets Tilda back home — Cole, in his weird-kid wisdom, follows them instead of Solas.

Iron Bull wakes up in his own bed, a week later, with Tilda shaking his arm.

"He's back," she hisses. "I can't get much out of him. Talk to him?"

Iron Bull groans and presses his head back into the soft pillow. "Or I could do what you did for me after the alliance failed and just... not talk about it."

Tilda can't focus her pale eyes on him, but she still manages to direct her mostly-blind stare directly at his face. "Solas needs different things than you do. He needs to talk or he begins to get... weird. Weirder. You know."

Iron Bull does know. He gets up.

He finds Solas hunched over some drawings in his lap, his ass sat on that sofa he's got shoved against the wall in the rotunda. There's space, so Bull sits next to him. Solas doesn't look up.

"Those look good," Iron Bull grunts, gesturing at the sketches. Solas scrubs some charcoal onto one to finish forming that demon's nose. "Looks just like her."

"It," Solas corrects him with a sniff. "Its pronouns were it and its."

Bull thinks briefly of Krem, then shakes the notion away. Demons aren't like his flesh and blood boys. "Wanna tell me about... it?"

"Why?" he snaps. "You hate spirits. Your fear has blinded you to their personhood. Do not pretend for my sake."

Bull shrugged. "Fine. I won't. I don't get it. But I do... well. I care." He tips his head to one side, then the other, then pushes through his discomfort and says with a wince, "About you."

Solas's snort speaks to his disbelief. He still doesn't look at Bull, not even sideways — he just focuses on those papers in his lap.

"You have the Inquisitor," Bull said in a low voice.

Solas's hand stills. His fingers are smudged from the charcoal he holds.

"And you have me," Bull finishes.
