"coldbird's tragedy" is just a title for a collection of nonsense catified-oc stuff
basic premise is morningfrost iand hothare (while not identifiable in the vision) are prophesized to be enemies. coldbird is one of the recipients of the prophecy.
the only problem is morningfrost is only 3 moons old when this prophecy is recieved. it's too big of a destiny for someone so young, coldbird thinks, so he dedicates his cause to fulfilling the prophecy himself as a grown warrior so his son can live a normal life. this causes him to become a bit paranoid and overprotective of ALL his children.
things don't go as planned, clearly, and he ends up being the one morningfrost has to face off in the end, being used as the late hothare's vessel.

Out of curiosity why is Hothare doing this whole possession thing and such?
"spoilers" i guess lol im not gonna be making this a Big Thing rn
hothare is meant to be coldbird's foil-- theyre opposites of one another (hence the prefixes, but also in physical appearance and other shit)
hothare is a very envious character and he hated coldbird the most out of everyone (but youd never be able to tell. he was decent at masking that and.. other things) because coldbird had what he wanted: respect and influence. theyre opponents, but it's one sided
for a while, at least. hothare's envy gets the best of him and he tries to ruin his reputation and take away some of his family. he doesnt entirely succeed, but he's left enough damage to warrant coldbird coming for his head.
the possession is just hothare's way of getting back at coldbird for killing him. it's subtle enough to get him where lashing out will ruin things the most.
