As soon as the door closed behind Obi-wan, Cody turned to Maul. He was back on the couch, but not wearing his armor anymore, just his blacks. And he was about to open his mouth, but Maul cut him short.

“You want me to kill you, if any kind of Jedi killing programming takes over,” Maul said. There was no point in talking around it.

“Is it that obvious?” Cody asked.

Cody didn’t bother taking his armor off before he waded into the lake. It wasn’t like beskar could rust after all, and the sticky strands of the cocoon were everywhere. The water went up to his knees for the first few steps, then there was a sudden drop. He yelped and splashed. In beskar he wouldn’t be able to swim. But when his feet hit rock again, the water reached up to his shoulders.

He started taking armor pieces off and scrubbing them clean. Luckily, the white stuff became less sticky under water and he managed to peel it off with his hands. Every clean piece, he threw towards the shore where it landed on grass.
