It’s definitely been mentioned before but I love the idea of the 7 + Nico on the Argo II just doing dumb kid/ teenager stuff??? Like yes they’re all powerful demigods on a dangerous quest but they’re also a group of teenagers (some as young as 14) with ADHD and minimal adult supervision.

You’re telling me during a quiet shift on night-watch Leo and Frank didn’t snicker whilst daring each other to spit off the side of the boat?? Like imagine Percy and Jason having a game of ‘who can yell this dumb phrase the loudest without laughing’, or Piper and Annabeth borrowing Hazel’s drawing equipment to do ‘portraits’ of each other, or Hazel and Nico both awake at 3am making crazy concoctions with the unlimited food in the ship’s cafeteria. Meanwhile Coach Hedge is running around yelling stop it shut up don’t waste perfectly good pancakes building a food castle

You’re telling me no one packed a deck of cards for this journey? They didn’t have a single UNO tournament?? They didn’t all set up their sleeping equipment in the mess hall for a sleepover one night???

My hope for next season and leading into the Olympic season is that the ISU somehow revives womens skating cause yes it’s beautiful yes it’s lovely but is it exciting? Ehhhh.

In my personal opinion it’s the discipline that’s stagnated the most post Covid. You can argue that the crown goes to ice dance in that regard but even though the judging is shitty and the ISU insists on ridiculous themes for the rhythm dance we’re still getting quality and creativity through the bouts of corruption.

I just feel like women’s choreography has plateaued, it’s become uninteresting, very little memorable programs. Same elements same ordering same music like it’s becoming a by bland to watch. And my honest wish for the future is to reignite the spark it once had.

My supervisor sent me to pick up one of our kids from soccer practice bc their regular worker was called out on an emergency and I got there early so I sat in the bleachers where all the parents were waiting and some of the parents asked me which child on the field was mine and bc I’m not allowed to wear my badge or identify myself to random people if it risks outing a child as a foster child I just said “oh I don’t have a kid here” without ONCE considering how fucking terrifying that must’ve sounded to those poor people (a grown woman with no kids watching a random middle school girls’ soccer practice) bc not even 5 mins later the coach ambles over and I get pulled aside to have a private chat about who I was and why I was there

Thanks for explaining! So does that mean an alternate would have a jersey with an A and a jersey without an A when they’re rotating? I can’t believe I never even noticed lol but seriously I wish leafs fans would pick a damn opinion and own up to it like the way they hated jt for his contract and wanted him traded up until he passed the C to auston and suddenly he’s nhl joe Biden and it would be sacrilege to make him share an A like it is nawt that serious it can nawt possibly be that serious

yes!! behind the scenes, everyone already has multiple home and away jerseys already, so the leadership group with rotating a's just has them with and without depending on the game! i'm fairly certain mitch and auston just switched off every other game most of the time, but i feel like i've heard about some teams doing away vs home alts etc etc. all of that seems up to the team, you just submit your roster and can only have 3 ppl with a letter per game. most teams just stick to 1 c and 2 a's, but when one of them is out, sometimes someone will be made an a temporarily too.

and tell me about it, lol!!!!!! people just act like it's the biggest deal in the world and i'm truly like.... jt just willingly stepped aside and handed over the whole ass captaincy, which isn't uber common....... you're gonna tell me he draws the line at sometimes not having an a on his jersey? did the whole team just forget he's been their captain for yrs and has the leadership qualities that he does bc he's not wearing it? god forbid. i've seen it about mo a lot too and i'm just like. i get ppl are sentimental abt his tenure with the leafs but be VERY real if you think morgan rielly is gonna throw a hissy fit abt some shit stitched on his jersey every other game. it's not like you get paid more one way or another. it's not like there's a real impact beyond you just not being at the forefront in terms of talking to officials.
