Start with 4 in Triangular as counting 123 plus a 4 which layers on the 1, so there’s a pulse separated by 2 Between, which also lays out as the 2 Between Ends of a grid square, read as though each was a choice or route with only the different Ends showing and put in order. The relationship between 4 and 8 is clearly deep, because you can say that 4 only counts when that count runs both ways, which is 8. (Still 2 Jan 2023.)

Can I pull the fCM together? As in, 8 is a side of CM64, while 4 is a side of CM16. But what about IC? It’s easy to see 12 and thus CM12 because there are 3 sides in Triangular. That 4th iteration is not in Triangular, but it is in grid squares because it only occurs because the pulse counts to 4, meaning the 4th iteration is constructed in the layering itself. And that exactly, perfectly matches the basic conception of the pulse, which is that it pulses 1 out of 4 beats. Wow.

And you can move the pulse around in the beat count. And you can build more complicated beats.

I suddenly feel a clutching at my chest, like I’m out of time. I hope not. I feel so close to it. But to uncover something this fundamental this late, and having to incorporate all of that into the prior work is a lot. I’ve really just been saying the same thing as always but tied to a Triangular mapping. Trying to understand IC from this side of the work is very difficult for me. I see a pulse, then the count of Between 1 and 2, then 3, which then lays out in fCM as then the next pulse, etc., while in another representation these overlay, meaning the count of 4 is over the count of 1 in a Triangular.

Note this works because 3 and 4 are both factors of 12, so the countings connect. And these break into 2SBE2.

Question: if an IC in grid squares, meaning a 4Square, is pulse the Betweens 1,2, and then 3 along the szK, then the pulse which reaches 16 includes this shorter pulse, which is why say CM16 is 2T, 2 Things. As in, read the pulse as above, then read it in reverse, so it’s 123pulse in appearance reading up along szK. Then you can more easily see the two pulses meet where they overlay, where overlaying is literally rendered as the order or direction in which you count 1Segments around Triangular.

That means I may feel comfortable phrasing one of the holy grails: that means you can count along an Extent in Triangular and that maps to the windings around a bT.

What about Hexagonal? Same thing, isn’t it? Wraps around bT, wraps around Hexagon: it’s all 1Space. Note that Triangular translates into Hexagonal using SBE and SBE2, so 2 turns around a Hexagon or 2 Hexagons is the same as 4 turns around a bT or 4bT fully counted, which is not the same as 4bT which are not fully counted.

Why is this all suddenly acceptable to me, when I’ve been resisting this with all my force for so long? Why is my resistance crumbling? I think it’s because of the connection from Triangular mapping to 1-0-1 to fCM. So for example, to count a pulse+3 for 4 in each direction is the exact logic of the gs process Regularizing fD into a grid square; it’s not just 1fD but the Irreducible fD’s.
