Walking into your now temporary home was nerve-wracking to say the least.

Rolling your luggage into the hallway, some staff come toward you and mic you up. 

As they do, a woman with a clipboard comes over your way.

“Hello YN, I’m Producer Han. A little rundown of what you have to do. You walk into the living room and wait for the rest of the people to come in, and then introductions are made. You guys do a little tour together and just some fun icebreakers. One episode will be aired every week, making it six episodes in total. Don't worry every week there will be a fun little mission. Got it?” 

You nod your head and put on a brave smile. “Yes, I understand.” 

“OK, great. Just go in and sit, you can leave your luggage with you or to the side. Keep it natural.” Han PD flashes you a smile as she leaves. 

As you walk to the living room, you take it all in. The room itself is an open concept, you can see the kitchen and an exit to what may seem to be the back patio. The house alone was modern, and you assume the decor was basic so everyone could decorate together.

Sitting down on the couch closest to the edge, you see that the camera crew is already set up and rolling. “OK, idol mode, on,” you think to yourself.

Sitting down on the couch, you think about what to say, coming up with the conclusion that you have no clue at all what to do when everyone arrives. It felt like the beginning of a new school year, where teachers would make students get up and introduce themselves. You breathe in and out. “Just act natural. You've seen these people at music shows. Heck! You're even close friends with one of them!”

Not much later, you hear the sound of wheels entering the hallway. Knowing that the cameras were rolling, you tried to make sure it didn't seem like you were too nervous.

“Please be another girl, I have no clue what to do if it's a male idol.” You beg the gods who were in charge of this.

To your relief, a familiar figure came into view. The face of one of, if not, your closest friend that you’ve trained with for three years. Under the same company as you, a nervous Choi Youngjae from TWS walks in.

As he spots you, he lets out a huge breath that he didn’t notice he was holding in. Both of you guys form a smile, running up to one another and going in for a loose and friendly hug, knowing that there won’t be any big reaction considering that both of your guys’ fans are very aware of your platonic bond.

As you guys walk back to the couch together, you guys begin to talk.

“You think it's going to alternate? Like a girl group first, then a boy group, then another girl group idol?” Youngjae asks.

“Hopefully, I don’t want to be stuck with you for much longer,” you joke as Youngjae teasingly rolls his eyes.

Back on the couch, your nerves have calmed a little knowing you have Youngjae with you.

“Even though we know the lineup, it’s still nerve-wracking having to come individually,” you continue.

“I know right, anyway, show me what you bought for the first mission,"  Youngjae agrees as he tries peeking into your bag.

“No! What the heck!” You respond as you try stopping him.

The two of you continue to bicker until you hear the sound of wheels rolling on the floor again, making the both of you straighten up. 

One by one, the rest of your now roommates walked in: Haneul of Kiss of Life, Ni-ki of Enhypen, Siyoon of Billlie, and Jongseob of P1Harmony.  

Everyone almost came in the exact same way: shy awkward smiles, accompanied with polite bows and quiet hellos, alongside small talk being made as everyone waited for the next person. 

“So what’s your MBTI?” 

“ISFJ, how about you?” 

“INFP.” 

“Ah, I… what’s yours?” 

“Uhm, INTJ.” 

“Huh, so we’re all I.”

Although you have seen some of them at music and two of them at the company building, you really didn’t know what to do. The whole show in itself was a disaster in the making, as many girl group and boy group interactions received mixed reactions. 

As you all sit there, you all sort of awkwardly make eye contact with one another, until the PD hands Siyoon a card. 

She reads, “Welcome to your new home!” Everyone claps and cheers. 

“For the next six weeks, the six of you guys will be roommates. Throughout the show, you guys will be given missions as well as just living your regular lives,” Siyoon continues as everyone nods. 

“As you can see, the place is a little bit bland, which is why the first mission was given a week in advance of filming. Today’s mission: bring one or two items to decorate the house with. These items can also represent you.” 

Siyoon finishes, “Ok, who wants to go first?” 

The room is filled with awkward silence and stares. 

With some hesitation, Haneul raises her hand and speaks, “I can go first!” 

“Thank goodness there’s an extrovert between the six of us,” you think, grateful for Haneul’s initiative. 

She goes and brings a big bag with her to the sofa.  

“It’s kind of more than two items, but I thought they would make nice gifts as well.” She first brings out a set of triple hooks. 

“This will make sense in a second.” She points out. 

She then individually brought out six faux leather bags, with all of them looking like they were decorated with some things. 

“Ok, so let me explain. One of my hobbies is doing crafts and DIY’s, so I brought bags for all of us and decorated them for all of us." She then gets up and hands the respective bag to each of you. 

"I don’t really know what all of you guys like, so I decorated them pretty vaguely. Maybe we can add to them in the next few weeks.”

You were left stunned. Almost all of you were. 

“Wow! Now I don’t know how any of us are going to top that.” Ni-ki says, with everyone agreeing. 

After everyone introduces their items, with Siyoon bringing cute ceramic mugs for everyone, Ni-ki with matching pyjama sets from Peach John, and Youngjae bringing badminton equipment alongside various sports equipment, as well as a gag item that his members sneaked in, some cleaning supplies. 

Let’s just say Youngjae was pleased with the supplies considering he didn’t know anyone’s cleaning habits. Besides you. And you are quite cluttered.

You and Jongseob were the last two people to introduce your items. 

Although nervous, you went next. “My items are not much, but I think they are things that we can all use.” 

You first grab out a Polaroid camera and some film. “I thought this would be really fun to have to capture all of our memories, as well as...”  

You grab a heavier object from your bag. “A cookie jar for us! I make a lot of cookies, and I thought it would be fun to bake them together and put them here for us to snack on.” 

“YES!” Youngjae exclaims. “Y/N makes the best cookies!” 

You shake your head and laugh at Youngjae’s exclamations. “I really don’t,” you reply. 

Last but not least, Jongseob was up.

He clears his throat. “Mine isn’t much either, but the first thing is a radio speaker.” He shows off a modern yet retro-looking speaker.  

“Because we’re all singers, I thought it would make sense for us to listen to music together. Uh, we can also connect our phones to it, but there’s something more nostalgic using actual CD’s, so I brought some of those too.” 

“And lastly, I didn’t really know what else to bring, but one of my members said I should bring this.” He brings out a cork board.  

“Ooh, we have matching items!” you exclaim impulsively. 

He laughs, "Yeah, it was kind of a coincidence, but we can hang this and put our polaroids from Y/N’s camera on here,” he points out. 

Wrapping up the small mission, all of you guys get up, and with the PD’s order, you guys have all the freedom. 

“Let’s go tour the place!” Haneul calls out. 

As the guys and girls separate to leave their things in their rooms before the tour, Jongseob can’t help but think to himself.

“No wonder I brought a cork board,” he thinks, looking at your figure that was a little ahead of him. Jongseob shakes his head. “Keeho for sure planned that out.”

Occupation: Seafaring Trader and Dragon Rider (formerly a criminal)

Bio: Growing up, Rune was trained to be a warrior by his father who was never satisfied with his accomplishments and progress. Eventually, the man abandoned his own son, leaving the boy to fend for himself on the streets but, fortunately for him, he was quick to adapt.

He then meets Gitta, and pitied her when no one wanted to take her in. He taught her how to survive as they traveled around, but parted ways after a dragon clawed his back and he was left to heal while Gitta ran away. The two then began bumping into each other in their travels.

While still young, Rune was notorious for being cold blooded, using any means to get his way. Though this didn’t stop him from taking others under his wing, reminding him of Gitta who he sees as a younger sister. He became a leader of sorts, and having realized this, he decided to steer them to the right path starting with changing himself. Though he’d sometimes slip into old habits from time to time.

A summary of his relationship with his father: 

"I needed a soldier. You wanted a father."

"Well I guess we're both disappointed then."

After his mother died in an attack, his father became obsessed with training a young Rune so he wouldn’t meet the same tragic fate. Although the longer this went on, the more his father lost his way of being a good father to him. Stripped of family love from losing both parents (mother, dead; father, a changed man), Rune had no one to turn to while the harsh training and beatings (when he failed to meet expectations) happened. 

During those times, he was told again and again that his wants don’t matter (he kinda passed it down to Gitta but in a kinder and gentler way. "Gitta, this want of searching for any clues of your family won’t help us. it wont feed our hungry tummies. You have to know this is for the better."). After years of anger and depression eating at his father, the man eventually abandoned Rune, saying he’ll never be good enough to be his son.

Personality: passionate yet tired, confident, loyal to a fault, hopeful romantic, daring but this makes him prone to crossing people’s boundaries, shares the same spontaneity as Gitta but is more grounded, sociable like an extrovert adopting introverts, goes by the saying “Do it scared anyway”

A.K.A. Rune is a driven, action-oriented person who thinks life should be an adventure or not at all

Scars: He has 4 scars in total: 3 on his back, and 1 on his face. He got his back scars when he was young after shielding Gitta from being picked up by a dragon when the town they were at got raided. His back got clawed in the process, and he was left traumatized. As for his face scar, he got it from his father when they unexpectedly reunited in his travels— causing a fight to break out in the tavern.

Dragons: He’s terrified of them at first, remembering the time a dragon clawed his back. But upon realizing that dragons are all around in his world, he’d try and find ways to work with his fear rather than overcome it (something his father would surely be disappointed with). After befriending a Shockjaw, he’d grow a bias on it saying it’s not like other dragons

Shockjaw: While on the search for Gitta after her Triple Stryke appeared before him without its rider, Rune found a Shockjaw being captured by dragon trappers. He didn’t hesitate to attack them and interfere with the activity, saving the dragon in the process and releasing it back to the wild. While scared of dragons, he didn’t want to stand by and watch it all happen just like that.

Eventually, Rune realized that the very same Shockjaw he and his crew saved followed after them in their travels. It kept its distance from the ship at first, usually lurking from afar, and upon realizing it meant no harm, some of the crew tried feeding it, though the Shockjaw never went close enough for it.

The crew then tried to get Rune himself to feed it, thinking maybe something would happen if its hero did it. While skeptical and scared at first, the Shockjaw actually answered and went closer this time when it saw Rune about to feed it. The dragon becomes his companion in his seafaring trades and the two have stuck with each other since. He eventually names his Shockjaw as Boltsnap, though Gitta prefers calling him Seaweed for his color.

>While he’s learning to put his criminal life behind him, he would still be game to murder someone— and do other criminal acts— if need be, what more if it meant to help a friend

Hi, anon! SO SORRY it’s been a long time since I got this ask. I wasn’t able to answer it then because of stressful stuff but now I am free of that and I can finally get down to typing this character!

I agree with you! He seems to be a pretty straightforward ISTJ.

ISTJs lead with introverted sensing (Si), which makes them very organized and methodical people. With his extremely tight rules and regulations and the whole detailed system with the info stuff and Roman numerals, you can tell how strict he is with things like this. 

The auxiliary function is extroverted thinking (Te), which revolves around logic and efficiency. As you can see with the way he does things, he’s pretty logical and likes efficiency (even though no one other than him knows Roman numerals like that like bro come on it is outdated).

The third function is introverted feeling (Fi) which has a kind of gut instinct and a more moral connection. It’s a kind of warning system and it’s like, “Huh, maybe I shouldn’t do this” or “maybe I should help out.” And they stick pretty close to certain morals with this function. And I think we can see that with the fact that he has a doggo that he loves and he is like, “Yes, I keep him on a leash because those are the rules” (but like also because we know he loves his doggo). 

The last function is extroverted intuition, which is the weakest one. Basically, it means he’s not super creative. He’s good with systems and organization and rules and logic, but not when it comes to brainstorming. Since all the stuff at the ranger’s station is pretty old (they are using roman numerals to organize things like dude just change them to normal numbers) we can assume he’s not into new, more creative things.

Anyway, since we don’t have too much to go off of with him, I wasn’t able to do as much of an in depth analysis as I am with other characters, but this was fun! Thank you for asking, anon!

                                                BIOGRAPHY.

born  in  daegu  sk  to  a  lawyer  and  a  police  officer,  jun's  life  was  always  pretty strict.

they  always  made  sure  he  was  living  like  they  wanted  him  to,  cracking  down  and  making  sure  he  was  behaving  &  that  his  grades  were  at  the  top  of  his  class.

little  did  they  know  that  their  son  found  ways  around  having  to  obey  everything  they  said,  sneaking  out  of  his  bedroom  window  to  roam  the  streets  of  daegu  in  the  middle  of  the  night  &  things  like  that.

that's  also  where  he  first  found  his  interest  in  fire,  seeing  people  mess  with  small  bonfires  /  fireworks  all  the  time  caused  him  to  grow  curious.

so  one  night  on  one  of  his  adventures,  he  approached  a  group  of  kids  that  were  probably  only  a  few  years  older  than  him  and  they  allowed  him  into  their  group  &  allowed  him  to  start  messing  with  the  fireworks  himself.

it  was  from  that  moment  on  that  he  started  to  rebel  a  little  bit  more  with  each  day  that  passed,  eventually  sneaking  out  &  staying  gone  the  entire  night  only  to  sneak  back  up  through  his  window,  get  2  hrs  of  sleep  and  then  head  to  school.

parents  never  figured  out  about  it  though,  he  was  good  at  lying  to  them  &  anyone  with  any  sort  of  'authority'  so  he  was  able  to  continue  pleasing  them  &  pretending  to  be  this  pefect  son  all  while  living  the  life  he  actually  wanted  to  live.

the  only  thing  that  came  as  a  shock  to  his  parents  was  him  moving  out  at  the  age  of  sixteen,  getting  his  own  apartment  and  whatnot  so  he'd  stop  having  to  hide  how  he  wanted  to  live  or  have  to  sneak  out  of  his  own  home.

however,  to  them,  they  just  thought  he  wanted  to  become  more  of  an  adult  &  so  they  never  really  questioned  it  or  checked  up  on  him  without  warning.

he  had  just  turned  eighteen  when  he  was  approached  by  the  mastermind  after  getting  into  a  fight  at  a bustling  club,  leaving  the  other  person  laid  out  on  the  ground  while  jun  barely  had  any  injuries  whatsoever.  

the  mastermind  offered  a  job,  keep  people  quiet  or  clean  up  after  the  ones  who  can't  and  you'll  get  paid  shit  tons  of  money...  who  was  jun  to  turn  that  offer  down?

a  few  months  after  that  is  when  his  instagram  persona  started  forming,  posting  his  outfits  on  the  app  started  to  cause  people  to  follow  him  &  ask  for  more...  n  before  he  knew  it,  he  was  getting  agents  messaging  him  offering  to  be  HIS  agent  &  allow  him  to  make  even  more  money  just  by  posting  the  simplest  of  things  on  a  daily  basis.

again,  who  was  he  to  really  turn  down  the  offer?  especially  considering  the  fact  he'd  already  grown  a  taste  for  all  things  expensive.

&  thus,  jun's  double  life  began  once  more,  though  this  time,  both  sides  of  his  life  were  things  he  truly  enjoyed.

                                       PERSONALITY. ( PT 2. )

the  Worst...

short-tempered  as  heck,  will  snap  on  people  for  breathing  in  his  direction  wrong  if  he's  in  one  of  those  moods...

loves  violence... it's  a  problem.  will be  that  asshole  who  starts  bar  fights  just  so  he  can  fight  someone  ksfjghsdf

.... if  you  haven't  figured  it  out,  the  boy  loves  to  play  with  fire.  constantly  burns  stuff,  always  tries  to  take  things  of  other  peoples  to  burn  them.  also  likes  to  ... possibly  set  empty  buildings  on  fire  only  to  watch  them  burn  down.  yike.

can  be  extremely  goofy  &  joking  one  moment  and  then  the  biggest  grumpy  asshole  the  next.  all  really  depends  on  his  mood  at  the  time.

when  he's  in  a  good  mood  though,  he  loves  to  mess  with  people  &  joke  around  or  just  go  explore  the  area.  day  trips  are  his  favorite  thing  in  the  world  even  though  he  won't  admit  to  it.

however,  when  he  isn't.... don't  mess  with  him  bc  he  will probably  try  and  snap  ur  head  off  or  yell  at  you  for  the  dumbest  shit.  probably  figures  out  he's  being  a  dick  a  little  too  late  but  will  still  own  up  to  it  and  apologize  eventually.

a  bit  of  a  wild  card,  honestly.  you  never  know  what  mood  he's  going  to  be  in  or  what's  going  on  in  his  head  at  any  given  moment.

a  heaux,  shock  shock...  but  like  actually  really  bad  abt  it,  constantly  has  some  new  hook  up  or  something  like  that.

someone  from  his  past  who  knows  that  his  father  is  a  police  officer  &  constantly  gets  on  his  ass  for  all  the  stupid  shit  he  does  bc  they  don't  want  him  getting  caught  let  alone  his  own  father  finding  out.

his  go  to  person  for  all  things  stupid  as  fuck.  getting  high  on  the  roof?  check.  getting  drunk  &  dancing  on  the  bar?  check.  walking  around  seoul  at  4  in  the  morning?  check.

the  fire  &  ice  combination  we  all  want  for  our  muses,  they  fight,  bicker,  try  to  throw  hands  w  each  other  even  but  at  the  end  of  the  day,  they  actually  care  about  one  another.

someone  who's  able  to  see  the  softer  side  of  jun,  either  by  just  being  around  for  his  'down'  days,  or  finding  out  that  a  sleepy  /  just  woke  up  jun  has  a  tendency  to  be  soft  and  a  tiny  bit  needy.

the  jokester  friend  who's  always  pranking  jun  &  jun  tries  to  one  up  them  &  get  his  revenge.

the  LOATHING  plot...  idk  what  it  would  be  for  but  they  just  literally  can't  stand  each  other  &  they  make  sure  it's  known  to  the  world.

someone  who  puts  up  with  his  instagram  persona  and  goes  on  shopping  trips  &  appears  in  the  dumb  videos  he  uploads  to  both  instagram  &  youtube.

For Halloween in high school, and some other events, I cosplayed as Haruhi Suzumiya, Applejack, the Sharknado, and fem!Sam Winchester. Also, for all of March in sophomore year, I think, I wore a green wig because I lost a bet, so I’ve also cosplayed as GUMI. I really want to cosplay as Kinshirou...

I used to have fish at different points at time, but they’re dead. One of them actually came out of the bowl and swam down the drain, but that’s a story for another day.

When I was little, I made up the word “perpexualized,” not to be confused with “perpetual.” I’d say it when I was pretending to be a spy: I’d look around a corner, hold up imaginary binoculars to my eyes, see who/what I was spying on, and say it. MBTI Typing Nancy Drew Characters - Henry Bolet Jr.

Inspired by this post and its tags by @an-american-teen-against-crime​

So. Henry Bolet. Fan favorite, one-of-a-kind, a gem, our goth boi. We all love him. I’ve typed the main characters, but I haven’t typed him. Might make a series of this.

Anyway, Henry Bolet. He’s an INFJ.

INFJs are well-known for accidentally (or not) making other people’s problems their own. They have their Fe focused on helping others or understanding them. I don’t know if he knows it, but he definitely did this with Summer when he was buying her all those things. 

INFJs tend to try to be people-pleasers, and it can be harmful to them. They focus so much on helping other people they forget to help themselves. Because of that, sometimes they can seem needy-- like he says in the game. They really just want to help. But they also need help as well, to be honest here. (He also didn’t know what to do when Ned offered to help, even though Ned hardly knew him.)

Sometimes, when you add his people-pleasing with his distaste for confrontation and his poor mental health, he can be a pushover. Like with Summer. (Curse you, Summer.)

Another point is that INFJs have a tendency to be perfectionists. We can see that Henry is very upset about the way his uncle handled the estate-- or maybe how he didn’t handle it-- and how he had the books organized perfectly in that shelf. 

I could go WAY deeper into the psychology of Henry Bolet, but that would push me into a WHOLE different topic that I do not have the brain power to focus on. Would I like to delve deeper into that? Probably. But not now.

As for this moment, I have typed Henry Bolet as an INFJ. There ya go.

MBTI Typing Nancy Drew Characters - Frank Hardy

Frank! My man! I love him so much. One of the most relatable characters in the series. With all I know about him, through both games and the books, I am going to say he’s an INTJ.

INTJs are known for being the “stone-cold masterminds”. While this sometimes can be true to those who don’t know them, INTJs are pretty complex. 

Overall, they’re analysts. They have the Ni function which revolves around studying patterns, recognizing them, etc. This gives them an insight into certain situations and things that others might miss. They are open-minded and looking for any new knowledge that comes their way. 

They also have the extraverted thinking function (Te) which is the basis for why they think so logically all the time. (Also, they tend to have a “thinking face”, as seen above, which usually involves them staring intensely out into space.) 

This is where the awkwardness comes into play.

INTJs have a lot of trouble with feelings. They’re usually pretty chill, but when put into certain situations where they have to interact like “normal people” or when they develop feelings for someone (ahem), they get really awkward. This is another reason why some INTJs take no action at all with relationships, because they have no idea how to properly handle emotions. 

(INTJs also tend to either be, like, in love or not interested. Which seems to be the case with this here young man...)

Another aspect I’d like to add is the relationship between INTJs and ENFPs. In my first ever MBTI post, I typed Frank as an INTJ and Joe as an ENFP (still stand by that). The dynamics between the personalities and the characters match. The INTJ is more quiet and off thinking about something, but the ENFP will brighten things up and give it more energy and maybe get a million or two new ideas thrown in there. Both very creative, but very different, and the combination of the two personality types is extremely fun (and chaotic).

So. There’s that.

MBTI Typing Nancy Drew Characters - Jane Penvellyn

This was a very, very hard one to do. Jane Penvellyn is an extremely complex character. At first glance, she seems like a playful child who has a rampant imagination, but when you dig deeper, things become a lot more sinister. After lots of research and observation, I have typed her as a very unhealthy ENTP. Spoilers ahead.

Jane Penvellyn is perhaps one of the most scary, if not the scariest villain in my opinion. She’s only twelve years old and she’s already concocted a plan to get to stepmother out of the house by gaslighting her into thinking she’s turning into a werewolf, she’s messed with Nancy’s head, and she killed her own guinea pig with experiments. In an earlier post, I researched sociopathy and I even did a little test to see and her result was very high. Now, this is a whole different area of psychology that I’ll be looking at, but keep in mind that because of the influences in her life, her mental state is very poor. Also, most of the game she is lying to Nancy, so the reading I have on her may not be entirely accurate, because Jane is a character I don’t think we can fully know.

ENTPs are known for being charismatic, charming, and very intelligent. We can see how charismatic Jane can be when she’s playing Nancy and the others. (Maybe not the person playing the game, but definitely Nancy.) They are also known to be incredibly manipulative, which fits Jane very well. Not every 12 year old girl can manipulate people the way she does. 

Another theory, that is essentially canon, is that Jane experimented on her guinea pig and killed it. (There’s a lot of evidence to prove this in the game, but nothing explicitly saying so.) There was also a theory somewhere that when Jane was playing games with Nancy-- “See if you can beat me!”, “If you can get faster than this...”, etc.-- she is experimenting on her. Testing her wits, timing her reflexes, and so on and so forth. ENTPs are very experimental people who often try new things and text out what they want to learn more about. 

ENTPs can be strategic, but also impulsive. We see both of these in Jane. While she meticulously plans out how to get to the family treasure, she also acts on impulse sometimes as well. For example, when she followed Nancy down to the alchemy lab, confronted her, then pushed her away and grabbed the stone. She could have probably figured out a better way to convince Nancy to give her the stone, yet she acted on her own impulse rather than being patient. 

Let’s take a look at the another area of Jane’s psychology. We obviously can see that she is lonely, and she’s very bored. Even though she’s lying about a lot, it is obvious that she doesn’t enjoy her lessons and she hates being so alone. However, due to her abnormal life, she’s forced to live a life quite different from other children, and quite darker. Because of her boredom, which is caused by lack of outside stimulation and challenge, she acts on dark impulses to do dangerous things, which is another ENTP thing to do. The games are a good way to get out some of her energy, but even that isn’t enough sometimes. 

Now, this isn’t an example of all ENTPs, but an example of an unhealthy one. A child who was forced into a life of secrecy and intrigue, with her family being split and a weight upon her shoulders placed there by her ancestors. She felt she had to make drastic decisions, so she made them. As I’ve said before, her mental state is very poor. No one in their right mind would do what she did. And at only twelve years old. 

In conclusion, I still believe that Jane is the scariest of all the villains next to Dwayne Powers, because while both are very dangerous, she was only twelve years old when she came up with this scheme of hers. She’s a very intelligent, very unhealthy ENTP, and one of the most confounding characters to come out of the series. 

All this was based on lots of research and experience with ENTPs. Shoutout to @joe-hardys-cheeseburger​ for helping me with this typing.

As for my own type, I’m an INTJ, which I believe helps me with my analysis of all these characters. I also read way too deep into everything, which is both a good thing and a bad thing, lol.

MBTI Typing Nancy Drew Characters - Bess Marvin

My girl Bess. I love her so much. I’ve seen her typed as an ESFP so many times, but I really don’t see it. While she is bubbly and a social butterfly, she’s more of a dreamer than a realist, which tends to be where ESFPs lay.

I’d type her as ENFP.

I’ve typed her before as an ENFP and I stand by it. ENFPs tend to be energetic, happy people with a “manic pixie dream girl on crack” vibe. ESFPs tend to be more “partiers” than this. She doesn’t have the realist part of the sensing to be an ESFP.

ENFPs are also known for being incredibly enthusiastic and encouraging, which fits Bess so well. She’s always there for Nancy and George and is always willing to help (except in CRY when she doesn’t want to snoop, which also is part of ENFPs’ strong morals). When it comes down to the nitty gritty, Bess has her friends’ backs, even though she might not be super athletic or super smart.

Another trait I mentioned briefly of the ENFP is that they tend to be dreamers, and therefore daydreamers. Out of all the main characters in the games, Bess is the biggest daydreamer of all. Remember in MED when she was daydreaming about her alien boy all day? Yeah. 

They also tend to be in need of friends. Like, they really really need to be with their friends. Bess is often either with George or sometimes Ned. Sometimes she is alone, but some of the best Bess moments are when she’s interacting with other people. She’s hilarious and super fun and I just adore her.

Anyway, may have gone on a tangent or two there, but in conclusion, Bess is an ENFP and a ray of sunshine and happiness.
