Version II of the Cloudwalker test knit. This is made with stash yarn left from Marc's Dude Sweater.
Needed to make a few adjustments to make it work with the heavier yarn, with the designer's okay. I like the result a lot: so different from the 1st Cloudwalker. Interesting experimenting with such different yarns.
Is there enough yarn from The Dude for another sweater? Yes. Yes there is.

A bunch of people on the cloud test server after the stress test in Costa dol Sol walked to Limsa Lominsa and then for some reason listened to me when I said we should walk to Ul'dah, Gridania, Ishgard, and beyond!
(If you were there yes, it is I, Wind-up Yotsuyu.)
Edit: I have now convinced people to call themselves Cloudwalkers!

Do you play Everquest 2 or are thinking of trying Everquest 2?
Come check out Cloudwalkers!
I’m reviving my guild on the Maj’dul server for the expansion! Squee.
Cloudwalkers has been around since 2006! This guild not only strives to be a warm, cozy space away from IRL but we know the value in “found family” and would be honoured to be your queer-ass home in the digital world.
Since I myself am an artist, naturally Cloudwalkers is a hangout space for creatives. Let’s write, craft, decorate in-game, RP, share music, and whatever else makes our little hearts sing.
Speaking of music have a taste of our sound! There are Spotify playlists here and here, both of which I made specifically to play while adventuring in Norrath.
I am also working to build a player-made library full of EQ2 information! Introverts rejoice - head to our guild hall in Kelethin and pop into our library. I have my “EQ2 in 2022: What You Need to Know” book and I will soon be adding books on levelling, basic grouping, basic raiding, and more.
More Cloudwalkers highlights include:
Queer-led and operated
All friendly playstyles welcome
RP optional but welcome
Furry-friendly
Newbie-friendly (happy to tutor you!)
My SK is full of dad jokes
18+ because I swear like a fucking sailor
To keep our guild at its best, naturally we gotta turn away toxicity. If you like to be a troll, be racist, homophobe, have entitlement issues, think women belong in the kitchen, and generally like be an ass to others this is not your space! Away with ye.
Did you get through all of that?
Fantastic! PM me here or catch me on Maj’dul - look for Olisha, Sargon, Athenia, or Masako.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know I love your cloudwalker series!! I come back frequently and re-read my favorite chapters. I know you haven’t updated this blog in a while, and I hope you have been alright!!
First of thank you for checking up on me. I do not remember the last time I used this site, honestly, there certainly wasn't tips last time I posted on here that's for sure. I may have fell off the face of the earth for a little while since the adult world and work smacked me in the face with a bat and then kept smacking and tbh it still is 🤦♂️
HOWEVER, I am really glad that you like the Cloudwalker Series and I have decided-like literally yesterday- that I'm going to make it an actual story to publish. Hopefully that's good news to everyone who likes the series. There will be quite minor tweaks, the whump will be reduced a teeeeeny bit and the plot cranked to full power. The only reason I've even seen this post is because I was reading through all my stuff and forgot what half my characters even looked like. So yeah I'm doing okay, and I'm determined to see this through, so fingers crossed 😅☺️

MHS:SC : Cloudwalker Rathalos Ecology
Some worldbuilding for the Cloudwalker subspecies
A special subspecies of Rathalos that exists within only one part of the world deep within a singular mountain chain at very high altitudes at points that many would consider nigh impossible for the average Hunter or Rider to reach on their own.
These Flying Wyverns do not often descend from their rests atop these mountains save for very few and far between occasions during their breeding season to mate with the Rathian populations that lay within the nearby valley or for the occasional hunt. Due to this, much of the lifestyle of these elusive beasts remains widely misunderstood by largely both Hunter and Rider alike which has lead to a lot of superstitions forming surrounding these Rathalos.
But from what is known, gathered from the occasional observer and remains/sheddings left behind from this subspecies a few things have been gathered.
These Rathalos unlike their more common normal variety have blueish-grey scales that some have described as almost being a cross between that of the Silver and Azure subspecies. This is believed to aid this subspecies in camouflage due to the rocky terrain of their home range.
From observed hunting behaviors, it has shown that these Rathalos prefer to prey more upon smaller Flying, Snake Wyverns, and Wingdrakes such as Remorba which they can easily snatch out of the sky, before flying off back into the mountains to eat undisturbed. There have also been documented sightings of these Rathalos preying on prey closer to the ground such as Bird Wyverns and Herbivores which isn’t as frequent compared to them hunting more airborne targets.
Sheddings of these Rathalos’ spines have also revealed that this subspecies has a much more potent venom likely a result of their much more harsher habitat compared to other subspecies. Cloudwalker venom is a lot more fast acting at neutralizing targets that it gives the Rathalos plenty of time to strike.
Not much is understood about any potiental competition that this subspecies faces save for a few hypothetical Brute Wayverns like Tigerex and Elder Dragons such as Valstrex. Though there is another contender for a major threat to these Rathalos as some remains were found to belong to that of an Elder Dragon that has previously only been found on a small costal island chain and has no known reports of it existing outside of there due to its rather important and unique roll it plays with its ecosystem, theorized to be a much stronger and much more dangerous individual that might just threaten the very balance of the ecosystem not of only its own home, but also the mountain range it has invaded belonging to this very Rathalos population
An elder dragon known as Hyadoku.

SALT SWORD: BOUNDARY BREAK
boundary break – salt sword Release Date: January 27th, 2023
Track Listing:
1. endless sigh 2. 90′s game 3. giants below 4. cloudwalker 5. promise 6. rose coloured 7. this will all make sense
“Boundary break to clip through the edge / Find me in space uncontested by death.”
Lo-fi and hyper pop converge on salt sword’s boundary break. Anchored by electronic layers and heavy lyrics, the album is a satisfying listen.
salt sword, also known as Colin Ablitt, released his debut EP after losing his job and being unemployed for some time. Overcoming a lengthy creative block, he tackled themes of grief, anxiety, and personal growth in the album, as well as the healing power of nature and connection.
“endless sigh” is energetic and reflective. salt sword’s smooth and robotic vocals elevate pessimistic lyrics: “Feeling nothing / In the blood and gore / I keep trying to find myself / In an empty room.” The composition glides, using scales and white noise-esque flares. Futuristic synths and retro sounds congregate in “90’s game.” Catchy melodies combine with clever lyrics, making it difficult not to grin: “I'm holding my heart open like it's a 90s game / With no save function.” salt sword has a sweet, boyband-ish vocal tone that contrasts nicely with the vintage gaming sounds.
“giants below” is an experimental banger. Chaotic clanks fall into rich Japanese strings. Digital notes are sprinkled into the abstract, angular tune. “cloudwalker” is a serene interlude. Bells ring out over sharp, distorted hums. Slow, sad and soft, “promise” encapsulates dreariness with a tinge of hope: “Amplified heat wave / too many paradises paved / gravity keeps me pinned to the floor.” Piano notes are increasingly overtaken by high-tech sounds, signaling the struggle for change.
“rose coloured” is honest and introspective. It’s an authentic exploration of personal stagnation and the hold of mental weights: “I've been a stack of books in the corner, left unread / we've been carrying brick walls in our pockets / they've been stopping us from moving ahead.” The music still maintains a cutesy electronic bounce and curious, inflated vocals. The last track of the album quickly states “this will all make sense” with natural cricket sounds and textured lo-fi percussion.
boundary break is a pleasant and poised collection that deserves to be savoured. salt sword’s artistry heads in a direction perfect for an artificial, digital society that craves authenticity.

Aizawa Shouta x GN!reader
content: you're married to aizawa and he takes you to meet shirakumo for the first time.
wordcount: ~900
notes: the anniversary of a friend's passing is catching up to me. aizawa helps me cope so heavy on the comfort <3 written entirely on my phone and with no beta reading. i hope you enjoy <3333 (genuinely not sure if this is coherent. its missing people hour<3) spoilers from season 4 and up? to be sure!! ill come back and format this post when i have more than 3% battery 🫡
"i'm married."
"married!" the voice is at the cusp of a scoff, but excitement shines through.
"yeah, i know. wasn't the most emotionally available back then."
"good for you, man! is it them standing over there?"
aizawa turns his head to look back at you. you're a distance away with a small bouquet of flowers, all in white and blue. you're looking up at the huge, cumulonimbus clouds. you're meeting shirakumo for the first time.
aizawa turns back to the cold, unliving stone with his friend's name engraved, together with the dates. he hates the last date; that day had nothing to do with shirakumo, he's not attached to that particular day in any way. it was just... the day aizawa, yamada and his family lost him. nothing else, nothing important or personal that'd invoke feelings in shirakumo himself.
he hears the comforting words of his friend, "hey man, it's alright. we're okay."
he never pictured himself as a person talking to graves, imagining the voice of a deceased. it's irrational. completely irrational. there's no one there. least of all his friend. but showing up periodically and giving his friend his life updates eases a weight in aizawa that he's barely able to grasp otherwise.
but he hasn't been here for quite some time. with the war, the amputation, the restoration of society, his marriage, it hadn't really seemed like an opportune time whenever he thought of it. always so much to do, so much to run after.
the days blurred more and more often for aizawa; all the things and jobs and shifts and teachings that he always had the upper hand with kept slipping between his fingers now. fatigue making him forget to grade papers after patrol, night shifts at the dorm disrupting his already fragile sleep cycles, medication after medication turning his stomach around while wrestling with medical training, physio and therapy.
aizawa's not young anymore; hell, he's never felt young. not quite like his peers and he's never really been able to recognize himself in his students. he may see a glimmer of himself here and there, but never quite does he relate to their motivations. he bites his lip.
"they're nervous about meeting you." he admits, even if he finds your fear irrational. shirakumo would never judge anyone.
he imagines his friend's laugh like a caress on his cheek, "i've already met them. i'm with you all the time, remember?"
aizawa snorts, "god, i hope not."
there's a beat of silence before he imagines shirakumo's next words, biting his upper lip and tensing to prevent tears.
"they take great care of you, like you deserve."
aizawa's lost so much. over the years he hasn't always been able to rationalize how he keeps going. surely, anyone going through all that he has is bound to suffer a mental break, right?
he thinks he almost did. but then you showed up, bright and warm. you offered a hand right before he'd resigned himself to stay alone.
to stay alone for everyone else's sake. he knows he'll become more and more of a burden as age grapples his torn body, as disability lets things slip.
he's been more nervous about seeing shirakumo today than you.
what if his friend isn't proud of him? what if he's disappointed? what if he pities him?
he grits his teeth and apologizes to the grave in a strained voice. reprimands himself for ruining the moment.
"they're coming over."
he tenses up when he hears your footsteps nearing.
why?
"i told them to."
aizawa's stays squatted in front of the grave, afraid to turn to you. you don't see this side of him often.
he can feel you right beside him, and after you've taken a steadying breath to gather courage, you bow low to the grave and introduce yourself like you would to someone above you in a hierachy.
"thank you for taking care of my husband. i'm deeply grateful to be able to meet you."
you squat down next to aizawa and put the flowers gently on the grave, and he observes as you trace your fingers over the bluest of them all, the muscari, before you lean into your husband's shoulder. aizawa doesn't want to admit it, but he relaxes instantly at the gesture.
there's a moment of silence, like you're both soaking up the moment. when you rise and speak again, aizawa isn't able to hold back his sniffle as gracefully as he hoped. if you hear it, you don't comment on it.
"i promise to take care of him, in your stead. and send him here more often, with some salmon nigiri to enjoy with you."
the last part makes him laugh, letting his head fall into his open palm in a sort of flustered embarrassment stemming from all the overwhelm of emotions. aizawa imagines the gleeful laugh of his best friend, the puffed up chest and the hand to your shoulder, telling you to do your best, and that aizawa can be a handful.
"he's a handful sure, but there's nothing about him that doesn't make it worth it."
aizawa feels his heart soar as he looks up at you straightening your pants. when he catches your eye, you give him a thumbs up and a big, sunny smile matching the bright blue sky and white clouds behind you. the clouds perfectly shapes themselves and centers around you, like you're embraced by those, too.
