(Friday) I have not covered a future house song in ages, and what batter way than to cover a tune by Don Diablo. I like Don Diablo's style of being on the chiller side of things.
"Close My Eyes" is pretty simple musically since the future house riff just plays throughout the whole song. But I like this because the atmosphere is chill, not to the level of Kgyo tropical house chill though. The music video has a nice balance of promoting his record label, via the hexagon symbol, and footage of space and technology and light. I love how 2:25 is put together with the drop aligning with the light explosion, and I swear there seems to be sounds of fireworks in the background layers.
The lyrics are simple and are: "I close my eyes, I dream."
