Dramatics
Prompt(s): Hope/Forgiveness
Warnings: No warnings apply
Characters: Commander Fox, Sergeant Hound, Grizzer, Yarn (Clone OC)
Additional Tags: Forgiveness, in the most unserious and comedic way possible, Fluff, Grizzer is a Drama Queen, Bribery
Summary/Description: Fox will take it as a win that the kid wasn’t asking stupid questions like ‘what is one of my commanders doing underneath a table?’ Because the answer is: Trying and failing to bribe/beg/grovel for Grizzer's forgiveness with a rope toy
“Uh, you okay there, commander?”
Fox bangs his head on the table, and he swears Grizzer’s laughing at him as he rolls over to address the issue. The issue being one of his annoying brothers coming by at the most inopportune of moments. “I’m perfect, private. Was there something you needed?”
Unfortunately, that did not send the shiny away, nor was he spilling what he actually walked into the room for. But, Fox will take it as a win that the kid wasn’t asking stupid questions like ‘what is one of my commanders doing underneath a table?’
Flipping back over, Fox wiggles the rope toy closer to Grizzer’s nose. The massiff yawns and rests his head back on his front paws, facing away from Fox. “Come on, Grizzer,” Fox whispers. He flicks the end of the toy closer to Grizzer.
“What the commander isn’t saying,” Fox is going to kill Hound, “is that he upset Grizzer this morning and must now beg his forgiveness.”
“An exaggeration,” Fox retorts with a sniff. “Grizzer’s a drama queen who’s moping over nothing.”
Somebody- it’s Hound, the shiny wouldn’t have the guts- nudges Fox’s leg and scoffs. “Not what it looks like to me, sir.” The table creaks slightly as Hound sits on top of it, and Fox eyes it warily.
“Hound, if you bring this table down on top of me
”
“I’ll suddenly be field promoted to replace you and will buried under piles of paperwork and comm calls from whiny senators, yeah, yeah.” Fox can just imagine Hound’s dismissive hand wave. “Hey, shiny, you have a name yet?”
“I’ve been trying Yarn, sir. My squad, uh, they called me ‘Chatterbox’ because I always was bringing them the latest gossip and all, so I wanted to try and spin off that.”
Fox tilts his head and thinks it over. “So you spun yarns as a cadet?”
“Yessir.”
“Clever.” Better than some reasonings he’s heard, not that he’s going to argue with any of his brothers about names of all things. Fox pulls the toy back and takes a breath before tossing it towards Grizzer again. This time he got an interested eye. “Come on,” he mutters. “You wanna play right?”
“Um, commander?”
Fox closes his eyes. He sighs, “Yes, Yarn?”
“What exactly did you do to Grizzer?”
Hound barks a laugh, and Fox drops his forehead to the floor with a groan. “Well, Yarn, you see, our dear Commander Fox was getting his lunchtime refill of caf. And while Grizzer was just minding his own business in the break room like the good massiff he is, Commander Fox kicks him.”
Fox whips his head up, banging it against the table again, and raises a finger. “I barely touched him!” Grizzer jerks at the sudden noise and with a loud huff, stands and walks out from under the table. Fox turns back towards the massiff and reaches after him, “No, wait, Grizzer, come back! I’m sorry!”
“Looks like Grizzer’s not accepting your apology, Commander,” Hound says through his snickers. The table rocks as he stands with a sharp whistle. Grizzer’s claws scrap against the floor. Fox pulls himself out from under the table just in time to see Hound give Grizzer a treat and a round of pets. “Next time, sir, might I recommend grabbing some treats? He’s always in the mood for them.” Hound smirks, then hooks a lead on Grizzer’s collar before leaving for his patrol.
Yarn stands in the middle of the room, looking back and forth between Hound’s retreating back and Fox’s darkening face. His eyes gain a bit of a gleam, and the faintest hint of a smile plays on his lips. “Can I help you, private?” Fox all but snarls.
“No, sir. Have a good day, sir.” Yarn snaps off a quick salute and darts off.
It’s not until the shiny’s long gone that it occurs to Fox that Yarn had admitted to being the gossiper of his squad. He lurches off the floor with a curse, “Force damnit, I knew I shouldn’t have gotten up today.”

in which kaje collects faer clone OCs
hello just plopping my OCs here for reference and what not
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sarad, who I have already written about! Sarad's pronouns are fae/faer. Fae is a medic for the 212th. Sarad 100% has a crush on Kix but you could not pay faer enough credits to admit that, thank you very much. Check out faer fic here, featuring @flowerparrish's OC Tra!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bestest agender around, Shocks! Shocks uses they/them pronouns and is on the Coruscant Guard. They are one of Fox's secret favorites, mostly due to the fact that they baked their way into his heart. Shocks also loves dyeing hair. They are definitely Thorn's vod'ika in all the ways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Fleece! She does not care if her goatee makes her masculine, thank you very much. She's a girl and she likes her looks. She got her name because she loves to knit and gives people warm sweaters like. All the time. Please enjoy this thing I wrote about her:
"The 212th needs another trooper," Cody argues. "Kark that," Rex responds. "Kenobi makes you guys warm sweaters all the time. I want Fleece." Bly laughs. "I'm pretty sure Aayla's already wooing her with the softest balls of yarn she could find in the galaxy, good luck you guys." Meanwhile, Fleece: "Can I stay on Kamino and make baby blankets for all the batches being created?" The Kaminoans, squinting, trying to decide if she's defective or a treasure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last but not least, my di'kut trooper, Kar'la. Kar'la got kaysh's name due to Kaysh being an utter asshole. Like, actually. Kar'la means warm-hearted and sincere, so the name was given as a joke... and kaysh kept it. Kaysh will fight anything that moves, which unfortunately include vode. Kar'la is in the 327th much to Bly's dismay. Aayla's convinced she can fix kaysh with love and nail polish. Time will tell.

I commissioned the lovely @anstarwar for a pic of my two OC clone troopers!
Meet CT-7362 AKA Purl and CT-7989 AKA Pocketmonster of Vehmas Squad, Green Company, 41st Elite Corps.
Purl
Purl is a knitter. He knits to keep his hands busy, to keep himself calm and to mess up with his squadmates. The number of knitting needles reveals how calm the situation is (five needles = all is good, two needles = shit about to get real). He also know how to crochet, which mean sometimes his squad mates get some extra palpitations when they see Purl with only one “needle” before they realise he’s just crocheting.
He’s relatively calm trooper if a bit grumpy, and belongs to Generation One clones. He’s got a facial tattoo that says ‘stitch ‘n bitch’. Him, Pocketmonster and Manta are the last original members of the Vehmas squad, hence the dual lines on the right side of their armors.
Purl’s bucket has tally marks that show how many times he has had to use a needle to stab a droid. If and when that happens, the second part of his tattoo becomes very accurate. He is known to rant loudly and LONG when having lost a needle during a battle, which usually makes him a bit more vindictive when it comes to shooting some clankers. (Pocketmonster will claim that Purl has stabbed Geonosian with a needle during the second Geonosis attack, although that’s a lie. He stabbed two.)
Purl usually carries with himself two different sets of knitting needles, one crocheting hook and two normal needles.
Pocketmonster
If Purl is a buir of the squad, Pocketmonster is the laidback ba’vod.  Pocketmonster has seen much and he's an unlucky lucky vod.
The blue weird blob peeking behind him is the reason for his name.
As a cadet, he found this cute and jiggly blob during a relatively calm weather at Kamino and decided to take it as a pet. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aware this cute blob of a pet was in fact an alien nudibranch of DEATH and gave 85% Kamino’s clone medics gray hair when they found the thing in his pocket.
This was his first brush with death and his second one happened during his first campaign; Pocketmonster got flown away after a shockwave from a blast and was unlucky enough to have his bucket smashed/torn off badly, thus scarring the left side of his face.
Despite being relatively easygoing, the only times Pockemonster gets iffy is when Purl is being silly and decides to knit while "the kriffing Seppies are just on the other side of that ridge, Purl, if you lose another needle, I will not help you make a new one, you hear me?!"
Which is a lie, he will definitely help Purl. And Pocketmonster will offer his helmet as a yarn holder. They are good friends.

I wanted to populate the Jedi and Sith AU a little more, so~
On Zeb’s side, we have:
- His master Vokara Che, head of the Halls of Healing. Canon character (for a given value of canon). There’s basically no info for her other than “blue Twi’lek” that I could easily find, so I’m making everything up. Very calm, very steady under pressure. Zeb inherited his caffeine addiction from her.
- Bant Eerin, a master in the Halls of Healing. Canon character, grew up with Obi-wan, not much else info on Wookiepedia. A Mon Calamari! Kinda like an aunt for Zeb. Was the one to introduce him to alcohol. Laughed at him the first time he had a hangover, and then taught him how to cure it. Didn’t teach him how to swim, but did attend the lesson as “life guard.”
- Spindle, former clone trooper who’s studying to be a medical masseuse in the Halls. Non canon, which makes them my first clone OC! Never wants to return to combat. Shaky hands left over from nerve damage in the shoulder.
They fell into medical massage while serving as Zeb’s “babysitter.” Vokara’s too busy to constantly mind her padawan, but it was important that she had someone to keep an eye on him and provide emotional support in the moment. They’re called Spindle because part of their self-soothing tool box is, well, spinning. Now they’re on an electric wheel because that’s what I use! But during deployment, it was on drop spindles.
Spindle has definitely made yarn from Zeb’s spring shed. They also crochet. Zeb has a couple blankets from them.
- As-yet-unnamed Spindle’s batchmate, who’s part of Zeb’s service corp team as a medic. Also a clone OC. Tempted to name them Happy Pills. Zeb’s a little bad about remembering to call home, so Pills’ regular calls back to Spindle usually include something about how “the kid” is doing. The one who taught Zeb how to maintain/disassemble a blaster.
- Kanan is Caleb Dume, still, because Something Bad Happened to Sheev. What was it? I dunno, there are so many fixit fics out there. Pick one. Caleb’s still Zeb’s friend--they were crechemates--and he still finds and falls for Hera. Because love.
- Because Caleb is in Zeb’s life, Depa and Mace are also there sometimes. I dunno how much he interacts with them, but at the very least, they’re kinda like friendly distant relatives.
On Kallus’ side:
- Wulf Yularen, canon character turned Kallus’ Sith master for this AU. Had roughly a dozen apprentices and slowly whittled them down until Kallus was the only one left. Did not intend for Kallus to be the only one left, but, well. We don’t always get what we want.
- Urri Jamiil, noncanon Nautolan. Kallus’ best friend among Yularen’s apprentices. Taught him how to swim. Loved to carve. Died on Onderon. Kallus still has most of their surviving pieces in his bedroom on his flagship.
They and Kallus shared a similar moral compass, and helped keep each others’ consciences intact in their years under Yularen. Urri’s dreams for “after” drive a lot of Kallus’ post-Yularen plans.
- Osa Barill, noncanon character that you might recognize from my vampire AU. Not sure yet if she was hired by Yularen pre-Onderon, or if she was a free agent who rescued Kallus on Onderon. Either way, she’s now the commander of Kallus’ small militia. Fond of Kallus, and the closest thing he has to a parental figure, but not super demonstrative. Suspicious of Zeb, but subtle about it. No shovel talks here.
- There are definitely droids on Kallus’ ships. There’s a protocol-droid-inside-an-assassin-chassis running around somewhere. I kinda like the idea that the housekeeping staff are a bunch of battle droids leftover from the Clone Wars. Kallus’ droids are free any kind of loyalty-ensuring programming--he has very strong ideas about Freedom To Just Fucking Leave. Not sure he pays them (there’s a huge discussion about droids and personhood and “what is slavery” in the SW ‘verse to be had, but I don’t want to get into it tonight). Definitely has budget for their upkeep. Definitely has some budget set aside for self-mods like paint, ornamentation, etc. Definitely has an extra-soft-spot for the MSE droids.
- Not a character per se, but Kallus’ flagship is important to note because it’s what he considers “home.” It’s where he lives between missions, and it houses the majority of his militia. Because he prefers having long-term employees, the living areas have a definite personality to them. The flagship is rarely brought into active combat--they have other, smaller ships for that--but it is a fully operational warship.
It still needs a name.

My star wars OC and her child! (picture from 19BBY) LOTS of details below the cut-
Jayna was born on Chandrila and was trained as a seamstress. By the time she was a teen she lived and worked in the home of a senate member creating beautiful intricate pieces of clothing for the whole family. Shortly after she turned 18 she met Arun Saj, a man whom her employer introduced her to. He was from Lothal but would travel abroad to deliver goods from his family’s farm. They fell for each other hard and fast. Not wanting to leave his new love behind Arun proposed a whirlwind wedding and then he swept her away to his homeworld.
They lived happily on borrowed land and worked to make a homestead farming fruits and vegetables as well as spinning yarn. Though they were relatively poor, Arun found a crystal that he had put into a silver ring for his wife to show his devotion to her.
When the Clone War began, Lothal was hit with plague and famine and the couple was forced to leave the system in search of a better life. Impossible to find work without enlisting in the war effort, they finally landed on Taris, an urban planet full of swamps. They became droid repair experts and scrappers, helping dismantle crashed starships and also working on the machinery needed in order to do so. It was tough work but they had no other choice. It was there in 18BBY that Jayna discovered she was pregnant.
The war found Taris only one month into Jayna’s pregnancy. It was discovered that the planet held a wealth of ship building materials (besides that which was destroyed and scrapped). The republic, wanting to keep control of Taris, sent the 315th Clone Battalion, headed up by clone Captain Cyrus. Jedi master Aero Tithe from Pantora, and his padawan Dex Ridra from Corellia.
Planetary raids ensued from both Separatists and pirates. Arun was killed during a raid, leaving a devastated Jayna alone to birth and raise their child. She found sanctuary with the 315th, living in a small hut in their camp near the scrapyards and working for their ground troops with underarmour and equipment repairs. The clones treated her like she was one of them, often calling her “little sister”, even though she technically was older than all them. She also interacted with Aero and Dex. Occasionally Aero would have Dex assist Jayna, even asking that she “teach him what else to do with his hands besides wielding the force”.
When baby Jai was about to be born, Master Tithe put the Jayna under the protection of the medical staff on his in-orbit cruiser, the Deliverance. Jayna and Jai ended up staying on the ship for a short time while Jayna recovered, then returned to their small home on Taris among the clone troopers.
It was while living among the 315th that Jayna and her baby would witness the mortifying effects of Order 66...

Another quick pic of my Star Wars OC Jayna holding baby Jai. Still fleshing out the storyyyy. Thanks for all the love on my other post ❀ Tragic story during the Clone Wars era and soon after. Hmmmm...
