Me: I got toonforce as well. *all clones merges at once* There. Only less than a fraction of my powers. So will you be getting anything.

Ace: I see... *whispers into my ear*

Me: Yes, I can do that, but I want to do it in person, not some creepy neckbeard who would abuse such an ability. Sheesh, Ace. I may be horny but I have standards. Standards!

Ace: Have a mint. Your breath reeks of sour bamboo and chicken.

Me: *pops a special mouth gum into my mouth* *chewing then pops the bubble* Okay. Will that be all?

The Death of Chemies

New Generation Stars: With a new idea on mind, Yuka starts examining Windom's records, telling Ediom that the unit it was developed from, XSAA-8, outran an Idatenran, and observe the records of it battling Peguila. They then discuss King Joe, Yuka showing Z battling the one brought there, and Ediom showing the one battled by Rosso and Blu, before Yuka refocuses on STORAGE Custom, observing the recovery and then it's first battle against Grigio Raiden, and discuss briefly what they learnt about Raiden's relation to their work. They then move to the battle against M1. Ediom notes each SAA unit has its own role, and Yuka has a flash on inspiration, conceiving of Perfect Sevengar, a configuration where Sevengar gains mobility through Windom's thrusters and firepower from King Joe's arsenal. Ediom is not convinced it will work.

Gotchard: They rush SkeBows to the academy, but Kyouka confirms there's nothing to be done, because the Chemy's own malice was used, the finishing blow damaged the Chemy itself. Distraught, Hotaro leaves for home, and Hopper1, remembering the story of the golden flowers, sneaks away from him to find some. The AntRooper Malgam starts rampaging, and while Rinne, Renge and Sabimaru don't want to kill the Chemies anymore that Hotaro does, they know they have to at least try to stop it. When she finds him withdrawn, Hotaro's mother makes him the same food she used to make when he was depressed over his father leaving. A little better, he goes to apologise to Hopper1 for rebuffing it earlier, only to find it missing, and starts looking meanwhile, every time Hopper1 finds golden flowers something stops it getting them. The kids are trying to fight the Malgam, but are averse to killing it and struggle thanks to the cloning ability. Gigist explains to Atropos and Clotho his plan. The Chemy inside Hotaro has enabled or enhanced his ability to transmute himself using the Gotchardriver, and this has entwined him and the Chemy so much they cannot be separated, so he intends to force Hotaro to become a Malgam so he can separate them. Clotho doesn't believe Hotaro will fall that easily, leading Atropos to scold her, before asking if Gigist will revive Greyon when his power is restored, but Greyon effectively dismisses her wishes as a doll playing at having feelings. Hotaro stumbles on the battle, and after hesitating, to me project his friends becomes LightningJungle to try and stop the Malgam, while Hopper1 stumbles on some yellow flowers. Eventually all the students are overpowered, when Minato and Spanner arrive and, choosing the students over the Chemy, defeat all the Malgam copies, Spanner manages to capture AntRooper, only for it to die in the card. Hopper1 approaches with the flowers, only to be caught by Gigist. It tries to resist the darkness by evolving to CrossHopper, but Gigist knows the brightest lights cast the darkest shadow, and the Hopper1 Malgam is born. Struggling to resist the urge with Hotaro, it overpower Valvarad. Seeing the pain, Hotaro offers to let it hurt him, but Hopper1 can't. Unfortunately it has no such compunctions when a kid runs in for its toy, and Hotaro is forced to protect them and their mother, using Iron Gotchard to defeat the Malgam. Holding Hopper1's lifeless body, Hotaro sees the flower and realises it wanted to cheer him up, and realising he has killed his first and oldest friend, loses himself to malice, until the egg materialises around him protectively and teleports them away. As everyone else is left confused at what happens, within the egg the remorseful Hotaro is greeted by the egg, addressing him by name.

Boonboomger: Work is finishing on Boonboom Safari and Boonboom Marine, Taiya has been inspired by the Engines to give them AI programmed by Chassiro. On activation it seems they may not trust the team, so Mira and Jou make a contest to see who can get their trust first, as Genba enjoys the sight. Meanwhile, Cannonborg is finishing work in a secret project, which involves what looks like a replica Boonboom Changer. Taiya delivers to a middle-aged mother a cassette tape of her own mother's enka singing, Genba eager to get his own procurement fee but before Taiya can pay him Dekotread of the Sanseaters calls the Boonboomgers out. When the heroes arrive, they declare their victory, using the imitation Boomboom Changer to summon Boonboom Killer Robo, which plays an ondo that cranks down the team's gears, and Boonboom is also affected, unable to send the cars for rescue, Genba manages to use a fire extinguisher as a distraction though. At base nobody has any motivation. Genba gets resolute, and as Taiya contemplates a way to smash the speakers on Killer Robo, realises Genba is gone. Safari seems to have taken note. Genba goes to the Sanseaters, volunteering to help procure Gyasoline, and when the team spot him he's getting them all items to crank them up. With Dekotread motivated for karaoke, Itashar activates Killer Robo again. Mira starts questioning Genba's motives but works it out, as Genba suggests the Hashiliens are the new Boomboomgers, getting them hyped enough they get affected by the speakers, at the same time the Boomboomgers have the affect reversed. Inspired by Genba's example, Safari launches on it's own and destroys the speakers. When the Boonboomgers Change, the Sanseaters board Boonboom Killer Robo, so they summon Boonboomger Robo to battle, but thanks to some illegal mods the fake has the edge. Genba summons Boonboom Safari, and Boonboomger Robo Safari Custom uses it's claws to slice the fake apart. Back at base, Jou and Mira both want to win Marine over, as Genba enjoys Boonboom's latest fried offering, everyone else nervous over it.

Chapter Six "Sandwich Surprise" (My Fortress Home | Tf2 x Reader)

After my whole two minutes I was gone in the real world, U/n kept a watchful eye on me. I sat on the couch and stared at the dark screen of the TV. I had to hide the lighter from U/n or else he would suspect something was up. I was staring at my reflection. I looked pale and sick, with bags under my eyes. U/n was making some phone calls in the kitchen. I was wrapped in my blanket. I wasn’t cold, but I needed something warm to comfort me. I was feeling icky inside, a little hungry. I stood up from the couch and waddled my way into the kitchen. U/n was finishing up one last phone call.

“Hey Y/n,” he said. He put down his phone on the counter. “Need something?” he asked. I opened the fridge and grabbed a wrapped up sandwich.

“I got it,” I answered, closing the fridge. I waddled over to the counter and unwrapped the sandwich. I took small bites from it. It was a bit soggy and chewy in a gross way. Heavy could do better than this.

“Um, is everything alright?” U/n asked. I nodded. “You sure?” I nodded again. There was nothing to talk about. I was fine. He sighed. “C’mon Y/n, talk to me,” he said. I scoffed.

“I said I’m fine!” I harshly replied. “I don’t need to talk.” I snatched my sandwich and ran off, slamming my bedroom door behind me. Geez, what was up with me? I wasn’t usually this angry. Maybe it was something in the food that was causing me to act this way. I made a whiny noise and collapsed over my bed. I wanted to go back and prove that I was sucked into a video game. I didn’t want to be considered crazy. I just needed to calm down and figure out how to get some proof. Almost on cue, my computer turned on. I lifted my head up. Last time I checked, that thing was off. I got off the bed. “What are you doing?” I asked quietly. I hit the power button. The computer refused to turn off. I groaned and held the button down. It finally shut down, making a whining sound. I smirked. “Hmph, you finally listened to me. Good.”

“Ah, jou’re awake!” a voice exclaimed. I yelped. The voice startled me. I turned around. Medic was washing his hands in the sink. Where did that come from? The room looked like someone tore two different pages and put them together. I looked behind me. My half of my bedroom was rapidly shrinking away.

“How long was I out?” I asked, turning to face Medic. He turned the sink’s faucet off and dried his hands.

“Oh, only for a few hours,” he said. He put the towel down. “You know, you were unresponsive to everything I did. It was like you were dead.” I pressed my lips into a line. That was something to add to my list of what was going on here. My side of the room had completely transformed into Medic’s lab. It was messy with medical supplies and trash littering the floor. There was dove poop and blood on the walls. That was gross. I felt a small pain shoot up my arm. I winced. Medic turned around. “What happened?” he asked.

“Nothing,” I said. “It felt like something pinched me.” He smiled.

“That should be the respawn chip,” he answered. “I put it in you while you were under. I also replaced your heart to handle the uber charge.” I turned pink. Medic cut me open without my permission. Classic Medic, I thought to myself. I rubbed the sore area. There was a small bump. I assumed this to be the chip. 

“How does the chip work?” I asked.

“Hmm? Oh, the respawn chip!” Medic happily answered. “Vell, jou see, the chip teleports you to this area where your body is restored. Your soul goes somewhere safe for jou to wait. After a couple of seconds, you are revived and good as new.” So that’s how the respawn actually worked. I just thought it copied and cloned you. Keeping the originals alive since 2007. The medbay door opened. Medic and I both looked up. Engineer’s head popped in.

“How’s our patient?” he asked Medic.

“They’re wide awake,” he answered. I gave Engie a small wave. He smiled brightly.

“Would you like something to eat darlin’? You must be starving!” Engineer exclaimed. I smiled. I was still hungry. That sandwich I made didn’t fill me up.

“Yeah, I’m up for eating,” I said. “You got any chips or something?” I asked.

“Heavy’s makin’ his famous sandwiches,” Engineer replied. I licked my lips. I would get a chance to try an actual Team Fortress sandwich! Medic patted my back.

“They are to die for,” he said. I followed Engie and Medic out the door. I was salivating at the thought of devouring that sandwich. But I stopped myself. I wasn’t here to have fun. I was here to get answers. I needed to know what was happening. Although, it wouldn’t hurt to have just a little bit of fun. I sat down at the table. Everyone there, not including Engineer and Medic, looked at me weird. Maybe it was because of what happened earlier today. I drummed my fingers on the table.

“So, you feelin’ better?” Scout asked. He broke the silence.

“Yeah, I am,” I answered. Heavy walked in holding a plate with a sandwich on it. But just as he was about to put it down before me, the doorbell rang. Scout was the first to get up and open it. Miss Pauling, the actual Miss Pauling, stood in the doorway. Oh man, I was giddy. 

“(Class name)?” she called out. 

“Here,” I answered. I stood up. “What do you need?”

“Someone important is here to talk to you,” she answered. “Come outside when you’re ready.” I snatched the sandwich off the plate.

“Good luck cadet,” Soldier said. “You’ll need it.” I scampered off, almost tripping over the chairs, and walked outside. I stuffed the sandwich in my mouth. 

“What do you need, Pauling?” I asked, closing the door behind me. My jaw opened wide, causing the sandwich to fall out of my mouth, as I turned to face the woman in front of me. The Administrator towered over me.

“We need to talk,” she said.

Luckily everybody can see almost everything happening because of them and they're going after these two and the rest of their crowd and Tommy F too was shooting at him this is a terrible terrible way to treat someone and to allow to happen a few dollars might help. And his mom has a site up for her little sister who's in a car accident and it's for the health concerns and she's really trying to raise some money to get by here with it's hard to live here and she's nearby she's not in Charlotte county no she's in Charlotte county but needs assistance and their minority and ultra minority and nobody's really doing that everybody is treated them badly and bja can witness and testify that he is worth something and he himself can't do it alone there's others too Mac Daddy has been saved many times but there's too many people who are negative here you just want to put him in a warehouse and and try and waterboard him into doing something I mean this ridiculous the notion is ridiculous it never works throughout history this guy is Young and is Trump and his Charles Manson and he's a fool and you're losing your entire life's Fortune letting him sit there next door it's gross and we're getting very angry with people none of you have gone anywhere with this idiot nearby him.

Based on this comic, Judai Yuuki is actually  Judai Kaiba -- he doesn’t go by that too often as he wants to be seen for his own merits and abilities rather than just being Seto Kaiba’s kid. Episode 46! Battle-heavy, but pretty good. You could feel the stakes, and we got a pretty big reveal about one of the characters. It’s one I think a lot of us had already theorized about 30 episodes ago ^^; and I think it’s kind of a shame more hints weren’t seeded along the way... but that’s the way this show works. However, it’s pretty cool to have it confirmed finally.

We continue to aimlessly travel. Alright, we have an aim: destroy Millenniumon’s fragments. It just feels a bit aimless :P

Curtain opens with Jou getting carsick. The girls loudly egret the seating arrangement.

Turns out these Vademon cult members of Millennumon’s are still in the picture. Totally forgot about them. They’re still mega creepy

Jou goes to get some fresh air and Gomamon adorably rubs his back for him ;_; As someone who also tends to get a bit nauseous on bumpy car trips, I’m actually very much on Jou’s side right now :P it sucks. Of course, living in Japan, I pretty much never have to travel by car anymore. Big plus.

Jou sees a straight “green moon” (really, Jou?) and the kids go out to investigate. The huge green ball in the sky then abducts half the team in a ray of light.

“Oniichan! This is why mama tells us not to open the door for strangers!”

Taichi, Yamato, Koushirou, and Takeru wind up inside the ball, which turns out to be Sephirothmon. Another old Frontier fav!

Sephirothmon reads their data one by one and sends clones of Digimon whose data he’s absorbed to attack them. He can apparently materialize as many Digimon as he wants and the group are soon outnumbered.

This is a pretty cool battle setup, however, you can forget about everyone besides Takeru after this point. The battle is just a backdrop. A bit disappointing, since a Taichi/Yamato/Koushirou team-up is high on the list of Things I’d Like To See. But Sephirothmon looks like he’ll continue to be important later on, so the fact that half the team were absorbed in this episode probably does matter to the plot.

When Sephirothmon reads the other Digimon’s data, their reflection appears dark and shadowy in the green stone. But Angemon’s reflection is full color. It fluctuates and suddenly morphs into...

Devimon!

Takeru and Angemon figure out quickly that this Devimon is different than the other Digimon clones (which is expressed, I’m sure, by the difference in Angemon’s reflection as well). Rather than being a clone, he seems to be too much like the real thing.

Outside, the others try to rescue their friends, but are hit with attacks from MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon through Sephirothmon.

Devimon taunts Angemon, calling the Chosen Children a “curse” because their evolution and their mission is tied to them. Angemon argues back that Takeru is not a curse, but Devimon’s words seem to have more of an effect than you’d think. Then Angemon reveals that Devimon is actually a part of himself, the darkness and depression he fell into after the great war.

So... yeah. We had a few ideas about Devimon in relation to Angemon, but it wasn’t clear if the show would really take it that far or not. They did something similar with Tailmon and SkullKnightmon, so it’s no surprise that they’ve circled back around to reveal this about Angemon and Devimon as well. At this time, I’m not totally sure how I feel - I do like that they’re complicating what had been a typical “Good vs Evil” type crisis very much though. We can say that our enemies are also our friends, to a degree. It’s somewhat less poignant because Millenniumon is still the mastermind behind all of it and so far he appears to be pure evil. On the other hand! We’ve seen very little of Millenniumon. He’s more an elusive shadow, like Sauron. The way Devimon and SkullKnightmon are connected to the Holy Digimon may indicate there’s more to the story of Millenniumon this season than meets the eye.

Devimon multiplies over and over, until he’s able to drag Angemon down and submerge him in darkness.

Despite his resistance, Angemon starts to transform into Devimon... and then Devimon’s evolutions. My one thought at this time was that Takeru didn’t seem quite freaked out enough :P I mean, look at all those eyes:

Takeru gets a lovely moment where he says that he believes in Angemon, which I honestly liked. His belief rejuvenated Angemon enough to break from Devimon’s hold.

He’s quickly able to destroy the copies and appears to absorb Devimon’s essence into his fist. He then evolves to HolyAngemon and makes short work of breaking everyone out of Sephirothmo xP Deus ex machina Holy Digimon should be no surprise and yet I’m always disappointed by it.

Sephirothmon is not totally defeated, though. He first reproduces by dividing into two and then flies off to join the rest of his cells in the sky.

Everyone is mega impressed by HolyAngemon. Tailmon’s like, how come no one gets this excited when *I* evolve?

I mean, he is pretty impressive though.

It’s implied that Devimon is indeed still with HolyAngemon - in his hand - but HolyAngemon ensures Takeru that he can handle it. The metaphor for the lifelong battle with our inner demons is strong with this one.

So, yeah, pretty straightforward episode. I’m really glad to have the Devimon connection with Angemon finally explained and curious to see what it could mean in the future.

Next episode:

Taichi plays Legolas with a scare crow whose face is ���のへのもへじ! I instantly like him. Idk what it is but I love scarecrow characters with patches all over their clothes. I hope he’s a good guy.

Super stoked for a Taichi episode!! We had so many for so long that even I, a huge Taichi fan, was glad for a change of pace when we started paying more attention to the other characters. Now I’m ready to see my boy show his cool side again!

Crisis (Medic x Reader) One-shot

TRIGGER WARNING! Mentions of severe blood, murder, attempted suicide by overdose, slight nudity (It's not what you think), and trauma.  Song used.

It had been two years. Two painful years in hiding since those, those bots! Those human and metallic clones of Sniper had taken over every base in Teufort.

My name is Y/n L/n. I am, or was, the (class name) of the Red/Blu Team. I was the best on my team. Everyone loved me. Even the enemy thought I was good and they respected me. Everything was fine!

Until that day. 

I guess it all started with a small talk with Sniper. We were friends, although I think he wanted to be more. He was a schoolboy in love and would never leave me alone. Anyway, he was complaining about being the target of everyone. I suggested he got a backup that had perfect aim and was hard to kill.

It was just a joke.

That day, he came out of the respawn with a clone. We passed it off as nothing, since the Administrator approved of this. Sniper’s clone had that perfect aim and was impossible to kill. The enemy sniper got himself some back up too.

It was one clone, then two, then three. They just kept coming and coming and it wouldn’t stop and it only got worse. They flooded the respawns, attacked secret areas. I am cornered, unable to do anything and Medic is dead and I have no hope of surviving. The sniper, he raises his rifle at me and I’m-

“Y/N! Wake up!” I shoot up, screaming and gasping for air. I am shaking, unable to control it. “Calm down, it was just a nightmare,” Medic coos.

“It wasn’t,” I whimper. “It wasn’t.”

Sniper had lost his mind and used his clones to wage war against us all. We teamed up, the Reds and Blues, to fight him, but he brought bots and clones to back him up, courtesy of Gravel Co. We tried everything. Eventually, we lost the war and fled. Gravel Co. was taken over by Sniper. The government shut down the Badlands area where we are now trapped with no escape.

I wound up with Medic. I was lucky enough to find him. The clones hunted us all down. I was near death and found Medic in Barnblitz. He was attempting to kill the clones with the payload and I joined him. We never even got the chance to get to the Blu base. We had, no, we needed to run. The garage near the second control point was our safe zone. It had a secret entrance leading to an abandoned Sniper’s nest we used to check things out. 

This morning I followed Medic into the makeshift kitchen. We have a truck we use in case we need to leave. The Administrator provided us with food which we get every two weeks, so sometimes Medic and I have to hunt. I don’t let Ludwig out of my sights, ever. I need him to keep alive and he needs me. I protect him. He keeps me alive. It’s a deal we made.

I shake off the nightmare like it never happened. I barely talk anymore. My feelings, my emotions, they’re all shut down. 

Before I made it to Barnblitz, I killed several clones. They wanted to take me back to Sniper, but I refused. They killed Scout before my eyes. I couldn’t join him. We keep in touch with the surviving members but we don’t meet up for fear Sniper will get us. I still get nightmares from what I’ve done.

Medic pulls out our protein bars. It’s all we have, our shipment arrives today. He sits next to me, concerned.

“That’s the tenth nightmare in three days,” he says. I silently chew my food. “Do jou want to talk about it?” The crazed doctor had softened in the past two years. He seems to care about my problems. 

He sighs, grabbing my trash. It’s a Cleaning Day today. It’s every other day. We have the supplies. These days means we take care of our trash and ourselves. There isn’t much to throw away. It’s when we have to take care of our hygiene that scares me.

Since there’s only one bathroom in our hidden room, we have to share. We have to do it all at once or else the bots might come. Medic brushes his teeth while I shower. There is a curtain and I get my privacy. I stare at the showerhead.  Two years I have been here, hidden from the world with Ludwig. To win, we’d have to kill Sniper. I finish showering and dress in the shower. I come out barefoot. I quickly brush my teeth and walk past Medic. He grabs my hand. “Stay close,” he says, “I need to keep an eye on jou.”

“I’ll just be outside the door,” I reply. “I swear.” He lets go of my hand. His touch lingers.

“Fine,” he says. I stand outside, hearing the water run. It calms me and I fall asleep.

I’m panting, scared. I ran through the woods with Scout following behind. We had just escaped custody from the clones, but they were chasing us. I got hit in the leg with a bullet. My HP drops to two. I can’t move.

“C’mon Y/n!” Scout exclaimed. He picked me up and started to run, but I was slowing him down.

“Put me down! You’ll make it if you leave me behind,” I said.

“Nuh uh,” he replied. He kept running.

We were surrounded by an army of Snipers. Scout stopped running and put me down. Then they started coming, multiplying by the second, getting closer and surrounding me and I can’t breathe! 

I scream again. I can’t see Medic before me, who’s trying to comfort me. All I see is the faces, congratulating themselves for killing Scout. I was suffocating. I am still in the woods and I can't leave. 

“NOOO!” I yelled as Scout dropped dead. I pulled out my melee weapons and stabbed the nearest Sniper. I chased some down, bashing their heads in or breaking their necks. I look at the mountain of bodies I left in my wake. My hands are covered in blood and I run.

“Look at me Y/n!” Medic commands. I’m shaking my head, blubbering. I can’t breathe. My heart is rushing. “Y/n, listen to me! It’s all fake!” I take in rapid breaths, trying to calm down. Medic is still wet and only wearing a towel around his waist. I must’ve slept for a while.

“I killed them,” I whispered. “Their blood, I had it on my hands.” Ludwig gently takes my hands and holds them up to his lips.

“Jou’re fine Y/n,” he says. I swallow my spit.

“Am I?” I ask.

I whimper as I eat, resting my head on Ludwig’s shoulder. His hair is still wet, but he’s all dressed now. I’m wrapped up in a blanket, the only one we have. Our shipment of food arrived early and we now munch on dinner. The bots and clones walk by our hidden room, passing by the garage. There is talk about the original Sniper, who is missing.

“Seems they’re searching for Herr Sniper,” Medic says. I hate that man. I groan. I didn’t care if he was alive. I want him dead. 

And my wish soon came true.

I take a small scouting trip to make sure we’re still safe. I find Sniper in the last control point, lying against a wooden beam. He is injured, near death. Sniper’s hat is torn, his shirt covered in blood. His arm is detached and his glasses have shattered and cut his face. I hold my gun up to his head, finger on the trigger. His eyes flutter open and he smiles.

“Come to do the job?” he weakly asks.

“If it ends the war,” I reply coolly. He laughs, but starts coughing.

“You can’t end it,” he says sadly. “Oi tried and instead Oi got overthrown. They’re all looking for me here. You can’t take down an entire army.” My hands start shaking and the tears roll down my face. My lips tremble. 

“I have to do it,” I say. “I’m sorry.”

“Just promise you’ll remember the good times,” Sniper says.

I pull the trigger.

The blood rolls down his forehead. I collapse to my knees, sobbing. I curl up next to his corpse, burying my head into his bleeding chest. 

“I’m sorry!” I whimper. “I’m so so sorry Mick.”

The next day, the news announced the death of Sniper. They have found his corpse near the town of Teufort, right where I buried him. Medic knows what happened. He had to calm me down with drugs.

“So jou actually did it,” he says, handing me a mug of coffee. 

“I thought it would bring me peace,” I mumble. “It didn’t.” For the whole day, Ludwig kept checking on me. He brings me food, water. He even hugs me from time to time. The bots and clones have multiplied here since I killed Mick. 

They were all here. All of them. We get word that they have gone missing from every area our friends are stationed in. They’re all here. Medic sense that I plan on ending this. 

“No,” he firmly says, watching my expression. “I won’t lose jou. I can’t afford it.” I stand up.

“You can’t stop me,” I say. Medic walks over to me, grasping my shoulders.

“Y/n, jou can’t go on like this!” he exclaims. “Jou’re killing jourself!”

“Oh yeah! What about our friends!” I yell, pulling away. “They are in trouble and now that the enemy is rounded up in one place, that is the perfect opportunity to kill them all, end this war! I’m tired Ludwig! I want to hurt myself sometimes because I could’ve prevented it! I don’t want to tiptoe around giants! I want to be free! This will bring me peace!” Medic looks at me, hurt. He comes up and kisses me briefly. I feel his tears on my lips as he pulls away.

“I can’t see jou get hurt,” he says. “Don’t do it.” I take the needle with drugs that keep me down out of my pocket. I stab it in Ludwig’s arm and he falls down. 

“I need to do this,” I say, “and I can’t have you in the way.”

“Wait! Y/n, don’t!”

I have the clones and bots trapped in the final section of the payload. I blocked off all entrances. I strike the match and throw it at the trail of gas I made. The flame flows through the trail, burning everything.

Including everyone inside.

I can hear their screams. The pain, I, I, I fall down to the ground, screaming. It’s horrible! But I can’t stop! My tears couldn’t put out the flames. 

I look at the monster I’ve become.

What I held in my hands could kill it.

The drugs. I snuck some from Medic’s medicine cabinet.

An overdose would be quick.

I opened the cap and chugged down every bit of drug. I go through every bottle like crazy. Everything blacks out and I think this is the end. 

I’m ready to greet my old buddy.

“Y/n? It’s me, Ludwig. Wake up.” My eyes flutter open. This isn’t heaven or hell. I’m in a hospital, hooked up to an IV. Medic is by my side. His eyes are red from crying, but he seems happy I’m alive. 

“Where am I?” I asked.

“In a hospital in Teufort,” he replies. “Jou’ve been out for a week. I saved you when I saw the fire.”

“Did I kill them all?” I asked.

“No,” he replies. I sigh. Maybe I’m not a monster. Ludwig grabs my hand and runs his thumb over my knuckles.

“I want to say sorry but it no longer works,” I say. 

“I wish I could’ve been the one to bring jou peace,” Medic says. “I didn’t know what jou were going through.” The tears welled up in my eyes. “Maybe, just maybe, we can have a clean start.”

“Yeah, maybe,” I replied. 

“We can reunite with our teammates, become one family,” Ludwig says. “How does that sound?”

“I wanna do it,” I say.

So we did. After months of rehabilitation and therapy, we got the family we wanted. Our friends survived the two years. We built a big home where 2Fort used to stand. Medic became what Mick would have wanted. My lover. He was there for me all the time.

The evening when we finished our new home, I spent the night with Medic.

And for the first time, I slept peacefully, knowing that I now was at peace.
