Sullivants cool wort, a globally rare species considered an indicator of consistantly cool and humid microclimates and associated with glacial refugium. I didnt know this population exsisted in jefferson co. / clifty falls state park. The wall may be the only location in the gorge that contains the species; rather, the only easily accessible spot. Beleive it or not I was looking for stiff gentian, specifically more of the small wet rock in partial shade stiff gentian. Unfortunately I checked on both of the old populations and there may end up being a local extripation.

Gentiana quinquefolia and open limestone sill habitat in part shade. Other cool species:

Fallen

Fallen is a Warriors fic about six Clans living in a nature park vaguely based on Clifty Falls, Indiana. It follows the POVs of one cat from each Clan, showing their struggles dealing with a manipulative StarClan and their respective Clans' unique cultures. Summary and links under the cut. This fic will include dark themes such as death, abuse, suicide, and the usual themes in the Warriors world. The main characters and some of the other characters were chosen by my friend and QPP respectively.

Nightkit, a BurrowClan kit struggling under the weight of a shocking revelation.

Whisperpaw, a CascadeClan apprentice angered with her star-chosen destiny.

Cherrymoon, a BranchClan queen forced to grapple with the fact her kits are in danger.

Sunberry, DeerClan’s medicine cat anguished over his healing paws not being of his own control.

Vixenrook, a ShadeClan warrior desperately trying to find peace for her and her mate.

Sheendawn, a PathClan warrior struggling with being condemned by her own Clanmates.

Follow these cats as they must dig up the roots of the misery their own Clans and ancestors are bringing upon them; before it’s too late for not just them, but for every cat.

A TOUGH ONE, here me out thats a lot of clustered apothecia, much of which is so codenced that it hides a good portion of it's thallus; however, its still got a section exposed of foliose lobed thallus. If the apothecia were more dense and risen like a warty rugose black crust, more rounded and more or less hiding the entire thallus, it would be Collema conglomeratum(SPORE HUDDLE LICHEN). Collema conglomeratum is often found on humid hillsides on old weathered white oak bark associated with good air quality. Its considered mostly arborial or 99% of the time tree dwelling. Still I didnt know that till looking that up. Very niche specific. The lichen above is on its standard substrate, frequently wet calcareous rock ( under a shelf on a limestone shelf of a waterfall )more specifcally the location of tunnel falls, clifty falls sp. Madison, IN for records sake.
