a couple of disclaimers first:

since none of these characters are exclusively available at R rarity, im only counting SR and SSR characters towards the total

im not including collab characters, since theyre not technically created by the gbf team

even though eternals and evokers and rotb characters are technically free recruits and not obtained through gacha mechanics, i did still include them in the count

im also counting alts into the total

there were a couple of characters i wasnt sure if they were supposed to be considered just tanned or as having darker skin so take this whole thing as a rough estimate

the total comes out to 60 out of 725 characters

With all the white_pharaoh.png whitewashing gacha drama going on I’m curious to go over gbf’s roster to see how many characters they have with darker skin

#“no collab charas” well i did include shadowvers/shinbaha characters though bc those are all by cygames. also promo charas #anyways its my post and i get to pick which splash art out of all the alts/skins each character has is my fave #also im only like 80% confident in that 725 total bc i didnt have a smart way to count and just went through the tier list with a #clicker counter and also almost forgot to add another 20 to account for the eternals and evokers #society characters are disproportionally popular with 4 versions each (5 if you count vas' duo unit with zeta)#speaking of society members though it was v hard picking between halloween eus back pose or summer sleeping pose 😔#anyways anyways. idk some of these fashion choices feel very culturally insensitive while others feel fine but others can probably do #a better analysis than me #theres something to be said about all the white/grey/blonde hair too #anyways (for the last time) all their names are in the alt text if anybody is curious abt any specific character
