The CMGC GOAT.
The hole we all love! Swirling wind, horseshoe lake, trees, elevated tee. It is the Greatest of all Time here at CMGC.
I always like to send a low punchy shot in. Anyone else have a preference on how to play the 6th of Badgers Sett aka the GOAT?
If you haven’t played it book online here to give it a try https://bit.ly/42ywPaL

Summer is Finally Here.
Just as we get closer to the longest day, summer decides to arrive!
The course is in fantastic condition. The fairways are tightly cut with plenty of grass coverage. The second cut is lush and the rough is under control. However the best part of Cleobury at the moment is the greens. Complete with USGA greens drainage they are firm, fast but will also hold a ball.
To enjoy rolling a few in like me, get your rounds of 9 holes or 18 holes booked in via our website here: https://shorturl.at/cfjAJ

A big thank you to Range Solutions for their amazing work getting this triple bay net set up at Cleobury Mortimer!
This net is of the highest quality as you can see from the video. After a couple of months planning as shown in the pictures, it is amazing to see it in all its glory. This will be a massive asset to the club and a big membership benefit.
No excuses, not to practice now!

The St Patricks Day Open 2023
The first ever St Patricks day open at Cleobury Mortimer golf club was a massive success with 27 teams enjoying the course, Irish sausage and mash plus a pint or two of Guinness.
With the course playing long and tough the scoring for a Texas Scramble was higher than expected. Some great golf was being played and the laughs and cheer could be heard around the course.
Ros James guided her team to victory in the mixed section with a great score of 56 nett.
In the non mixed section three shots separated first place and 12th! Jack Martin and his team are Texas scramble specialists and he once again guided his team to a nett 56 which was good enough to take third place on count back. The ever green Bob Lucas and his team of seniors (Jez Duffield, Tram and John Wesley) also shot a nett 56 but a better count back gave them second place.
The best score of the day was shot by Tim Wright and his team that included Liam, Lloyd and Tim’s son Tom. They shot a nett 55 to win by a single shot!
Tim had this to say.
‘It was a brilliant day, we all played our part and considering the weather the course held up very well. We will certainly enjoy a couple of Guinness tonight’.
