RAGGEDY ANN FANDOM HISTORY LESSON

(from someone who has only been here four years like I don't even know everything very far back)

In 2020, the fandom was going really strong when I joined. Things were mostly movie focused, but there was love for the books too and people liked to bring book characters into the universe of the movie.

Clandy (Clem x Andy) was popular, Ann x Babette of course, and trans Andy aus.

Early 2021, RARE started. We were a tiny portion of the fandom then, and a lot of people involved weren't even that into Raggedy Ann, they were more into lost media and theater. Like we weren't a circle inside the Raggedy Ann fandom, we're the center of a venn diagram.

In 2021/2022, a lot of those original big servers collapsed in on themselves. Most just ended up changing topics and they weren't the hubs for the fandom that they used to be. The RARE server went on, being smaller and more consistently modded, and having an active goal that keeps activity up.

But as the fandom started to grow again and new people joined, now the RARE server is the oldest and biggest one and seems to be the only place people know exists. I like talking about the general franchise sometimes too sure, but the organizers at RARE have various levels of interest in the rest of the media. The RARE server isn't a general fandom server and shouldn't be the only place where you can talk to other Raggedy Ann fans, there's other more widespread ones out there!

I like shipping Andy x Belindy.... and uh i might be projecting my own feelings on to that ship... so like i hc them both being trans qnd t4t (Andy being a trans man, and Belindy a trans woman) i think that's ok? I love shipping but some people (mainly talking about tiktok side of the raggedy Ann fandom.) Don't really like that i ship those two, one tiktoker even made a tiktok saying it's gross and why they would never ship it because it's nasty (they are also racist so maybe that's why they find it gross too) but coming from a poc person myself i do think it's dumb to get mad at ships like those, why be hateful and spiteful instead of just minding ur business or even leaving my content alone if you don't like that im not a big shipper of uncle clem x andy? Like im not hurting anyone or being a jackass to people that do ship popular things that i don't ship,, idk just the shipping side of the fandom makes me angry ig, like did yk some people don't ship uncle clem x andy?! Or even Babette x Ann?!? Like come on, act civil abt shipping, i mean i ship henny with clem and i don't get the same mean reaction, i think some people can't handle ships between a man and a woman, or trans man and trans woman yk?? Sorry if I sound like a bitch but im getting tired of the shipping hate atm :/

Decided facts about my reboot series

1. In reboot tv series. Both ragdolls will be a mix of the musical and the movie specials. Im thinking they look like the tv specials but have the personality of the musical movie.

2. other ocs and oc Ragdolls are welcome. Other ocs are welcome too.

3. Grouchy bear will be excluded. ( sorry)

4. Oc villains. But darker lol

5. Musical movie villains will be twisted darker too

6. Marcella is older

7. There will be trauma and ptsd involved.

8. The first mini season would be about Ann and Andy living without memory of eachother. Second season they try to reconnect and third would be new characters and old villains coming back.

9. Babette, Clem, Susie, grandpa, the long toy, camel and Arthur will be in it.

10. I might use the Clem x Andy ship. We’ll see.
