from here the rating changes though. like right now i'd say my next fave is so much for stardust? cause i've been listening to it a lot recently. flu game insanities last night i dreamt i still knew you? i carved out a place in this world for two but it's empty without you i've got all this love i've got to keep to myself? don't piss me off, shut up.

and evening out w your girlfriend is funny but i don't think i've listened through all in one sitting so. that's on me.

all that being said i dream of meeting pete wentz in a parking lot at night and fighting him a la fight club first fight just for funsies with the rest of the band being referees. and then like, getting lunch the next day.

Hiya there :D I feel like I gotta try a lot harder than this to earn your eternal love but here you go!

things I like about him:

This one’s weird because things that gave me not so great first impression about him became the main reasons I like him now aka his flaws and bad choices and the general mess he made out of his life. He appears to be a confident, almost arrogant person but probably there’s some self-loathing and shame buried somewhere in his mind, and it makes him a complicated, interesting character. Also he’s trying to own up his mistakes and fix them instead of running away from them, gotta give him some points for that. This feels off-topic for some reason but I love his physique as well.

OTP:

Doc/Lion, of course. I can never resist a ship that starts with hatred and misunderstanding and gradually grows into something else entirely. Though even after the worst of their dispute has ended, I imagine they’d still argue a lot over things, both big and small. And sometimes Lion would do things purely to annoy the hell out of Doc, like cracking his knuckles (I credit @pensive-buggo for this wonderful idea) or drinking straight out of a milk carton. I find it very adorable I think I’m broken.

And yes Bandit/Lion is my guilty pleasure, it hadn’t even crossed my mind before I read a series of fics that shook me to core (you probably know which one) and I was like “god this is really unhealthy” while positively inhaling it. So yeah, there’s that.

brOTP: 

With Montagne. I like to think that Montagne can usually make him back down when he’s pissed and ready to fight (and possibly being a jerk) with a simple “Olivier, no” and if it doesn’t work he will stop him physically from punching somebody in the face, knowing he’d regret it later when it backfires. Overall he's quite tame around Montagne, because with him he never feels cornered, or judged. Montagne would try to make him socialize with other people as well, from time to time. The results vary, depending on who the "other people" are.

random headcanon:

He reads a lot and isn't picky about the genre, while he cares about the quality. He prefers novel, ranging from all-time classics to pulp fictions, but his personal favorite is science fiction. He sometimes tells Montagne about the books he recently read and Montagne, having noticed his preference, informs him about the fact that IQ is actually writing some. Lion shrugs it off in front of him but stores the information in his head.

He has a questionable sense of direction when he's off duty. He enjoys driving, loves the wind in his hair and the music booming from the speaker, but he ends up getting lost so many times he asks Twitch to check his GPS navigation one day. Twitch, after a short test ride with him, advises him to stop ignoring the directions the system tells him to take.

He has some old presents he bought for his son when he was younger but couldn’t get up the nerve to send because he felt like he didn’t have the right to act like an actual father. Now their relationship is much better and they see each other on a regular basis, but Alexis has become too old for those particular presents, so he just keeps them. The idea of throwing them away never even occurs to him.

alright peeps so i dont use tumblr for anything except shitposting into the void so i dont know how many discussions are out on this site about the silksong trailer and i know im late to the party but like fashionably late thats my thing now get with it

in case anyone wasnt aware and im somehow the first source of information for them hollow knight was a hit game by team cherry and recently came out with the trailer for their sequel game silksong wherein you play as hornet who is a character present throughout the events of the first game

as usual all spoilers will be put under the readmore which i will put up now just to make sure nobody wants to shoot me with a glock for flooding their feed looking at you lads

so initial reaction to the trailer already has me hyped to high hell i mean like the first game is clearly enough of a success for them to release three dlcs and then a new game yknow the results speak for themselves team cherry has done it again

obviously a sad departure from the knight themself but the combat looks to have a lot more depth to it other than the classic dash and slash

not like there was anything wrong with it obviously i love hollow knights gameplay to death but the way hornet moves and her kit looks absolutely incredible

also the soundtrack kicks the atmosphere up to eleven again a huge credit to the cherries i love that shit it gets me so pumped

now as i was writing up the original post i realized i had quite possibly fallen into team cherrys trap of assuming that because the game follows another it is therefore a sequel because as far as i can tell there is no actual concrete visual evidence to betray the fact that the game takes place after the events of hollow knight which i will now dub vanilla knight

i think that the cherries might be trying to pull a fast one on us by proclaiming all of this stuff as new when in actuality it might be a ploy to distract from the fact that it takes place as a prequel chronologically speaking

i think the theory is supported by the intro where hornet is being escorted in either a good way or bad way probably a bad way by some weird buggos and she ends up breaking the f out

it doesnt seem like hollownest either has the manpower and or leadership and or desire at this point to lock up hornet what would they do arrest her for war crimes

additionally upon watching my friend play through the beginning the kings pass has a message proclaiming hollownest as the last great kingdom which says that this quote unquote new kingdom that hornet is gonna explore is either something that pops up after the sign or something that is destroyed before they put that damn thing up

now the weird thing is that near the end of the trailer hornet might be going super saiyan in front of a mask resembling herrah or else one of those deepnest silk weaver fuckers i cant remember the name its almost midnight where i am and im tired

now i could debate past or future all i want but in reality all we need to accept is that this is almost certainly gonna be a dope ass game and i cant wait and neither should you the combat looks sick the music looks baller the story is no doubt gonna be incredible

weve got new friends new enemies new secrets everyone is here its the most ambitious crossover of all of bugkind dont even fuckin at me vanilla knight

i dont have much to say except about the colors of the bosses but like that can be a post for another day to keep the traffic flowing or something
