[ EXPERIENCE ]

HOW LONG (MONTHS/YEARS?):  15+ years, but as for when I got good at it, 8+ years. PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: the ones I’d focus on: Livejournal/Dreamwidth, neoboards, SecondLife, Tumblr, Discord, AOL.......................................................... BEST EXPERIENCE: Oh gosh there have been so many. As awful as Livejournal was in terms of people, I had a ton of fun at route_29, an open Pokemon RP where your characters became Pokemon Trainers and would travel, collect badges, meet life time friends... That was great. 

Also that time where I played a Sonic the Hedgehog as if he were Dr Gregory House because I didn’t take anything seriously at the time and my Wilson was ACTUALLY A WILSON and it was beautiful.

[ WRITING  PREFERENCES]

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT?: I’ve written all, and I think ultimately I prefer angst and fluff. Writing smut is fine and obviously with a character like Urataros, there sure is gonna be a lot of that, but I’m not always in the mood to write it. Also too many people try to lie about their ages and I do not want ANY of that so yeah. But Angst and fluff? Fun! I like it. Too much can be exhausting, but if it’s well written and has breaks in between, I think angst is great to write. Especially if you can write it well for characters that aren’t usually seen that way.

PLOTS OR MEMES: Lately I’ve preferred memes, but that’s mostly because of my timezone and that I have no way to keep up with plots since I can’t be super involved in stuff due to...timezone and working full time. Memes are a fun way for me to keep a handle on my character, write some funny stuff, and still feel involved. I’d love to be part of a plot if I knew I had time to take part in it, and if after I got home from work, it wasn’t already wrapped up. 

Sometimes I give up on plots for my characters because it’s only ever just me writing them, and that can be very discouraging and draining, I’ve found. 

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I don’t uuusually care, but I think I prefer a kind of balance. I think introspection is great, but I think if the reply is only introspection and maybe three words of dialogue, then I have nothing to respond to... I think that, ultimately, if your response is short but has a lot to respond to for the other person, then that is, in my opinion, MUCH better than five paragraphs of how Robert breathes and thought about making his bed. I think that kind of thing is great in novels, like, lots of detail and thoughts and cool aesthetics, but I think for roleplay, it’s not as good. 

Again, just my opinion. Which is why my replies are generally shorter, to the point, and don’t have much introspection. I dunno. I used to be able to do it, but now I’ve become so conscious about how my response reads to my partners and stuff that I can’t go back.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: After or before work. I try to get in some commentary between classes, but generally after work and on the weekends is the best time to reach me! I’m usually more rested, more giggly, and more excited. Way more creative after work and on days off. My 11pm is the 10AM of EST, so, it’s also when I catch more of my friends. 

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): I am not a good liar. I am a very honest person. PDA is great but sex and flirting makes me so embarrassed. I hide my face during steamy scenes in movies because i feel like a voyeur.

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Felicity Smoak. M.I.T. graduate. Class of ‘09. A child genius, she is/was a hacker computer genius. Her hacker name used to be Ghost Fox Goddess but she dropped that name shortly before graduating college, only to eventually pick up her hacking skills again and put the to good use working with the Green Arrow and after some time becoming Overwatch. 

Points of interest:

A genius, who despite her smarts doesn’t always know when to stop talking. She can babble for days but at the end of it all she is someone you want to have on your side because she’s loyal to a fault. She is quick with a keyboard and can hack anything with power to it. 

What they’ve been up to recently:

Recently? Trying not to explode on an island, the end result has yet to officially be determined. When she’s not almost dying on an island, hacking, or helping the green arrow she can been seen trying to get her company back/started.

Usually in front of her computer.

Current plans:

I’m 99% she didn’t die as suggested up above so in canon her current plans I believe are to rebuild her life. Start getting on a more positive track and possily rebuild her relationship that’s already failed once before.

01) favorite game of the series?

DA2...

02) how did you discover Dragon Age?

I had played through all of the Mass Effect series and knew of Dragon Age - I originally purchased DA:O and DA2 for the Xbox at the time, started, but found it really hard to navigate Origins on console. I had a giveaway which @timon-wiffu​ won and sent the games to her, and then I was waiting for a sale to buy them on Origin for PC. But at that point I believe, DA:I was up for pre-order and I said fuck it, and bought it. I did a speed run through it to literally just romance Cassandra with a guy (Oded Trevelyan you the mvp). And then, later, I started up with a fresh canon playthrough of Origins right through to DAI again - except the DAI playthrough for Zera Cadash took literally like 2 years to complete due to Life(tm). 

So there we are.

03) how many times you’ve played the games?

I’ve done 1.5 playthroughs of Origin - I started the Aeducan route on Xbox but obviously never completed it - he was going to romance Morrigan. Then I have my Brosca and she romanced Zev and I played that all the way through.

I’ve done... like 4 playthroughs of DA2, mostly for Meredith Stannard content, but my canon, Desdemona Hawke, sided mage and told Anders where to go, etc. 

And DA:I I’ve completed 2 playthroughs with all dlc content - I have a Meredith Stannard Inquisitor that’s like 45% complete or so - among many other Inquisitors that have yet to go anywhere. 

04) favorite race to play as?

Dwarves!!!!

05) favorite class?

tbh the Rogue in DAI is pretty fun with the bow because of all the backflipping and charged shot and poison/flasks nonsense.

though I do like warrior in DA2 because fighting the arishok takes all of like... 30 seconds LMFAO.

06) do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time?

I try to vary up the decisions based on the character that I’m playing. I very much get into the roleplaying part of it! Like for example, playing Inquisitor!Meredith, I make her choices based on her past and how she uses her own power to do things, etc. 

07) go-to adventuring group?

DA:O – Zevran, Morrigan, Leliana with my Warden as warrior type. 

DA2 – Isabela, Merrill, Aveline. Sometimes Varric.

DA:I – Cassandra, Sera, Vivienne. 

08) which of your characters did you put the most thought into?

Honestly, Hawke’s story kind of remains the same regardless of appearance, but I definitely felt more invested in my Cadash and her story and background,  along with her romances - which were influenced by my rp partners at the time. 

09) favorite romance?

DA:O – I’ve done Zevran’s but i know Morrigan’s can be pretty good too.

DA2 – ISABELA. Every time. I tried to romance Merrill but.... Isabela. 

DA:I – Cassandra and Josie are up there but I did enjoy Sera’s still (even if the guy that wrote her was a shit bag)

10) have you read any of the comics/books?.

By books, I have the World of Thedas vol. 2 right here on my desk shelf lol. but i’ve read the comics with Varric and Maevaris Tilani but that’s about it. 

11) if you read them, which was your favorite book?

15) templars or mages?

mages - if only because the whole ‘morally gray’ issue is not split 50/50 and more like 90/10 with the only “redeeming quality” of most templars is that the Chantry is indoctrinating them from young ages to hold these beliefs, but the problem is in these games is you can’t really fuck up the Chantry itself. it just Is. 

That said, Meredith is my favourite villain and one of my favourite characters because she was already ‘fucked up’ before the idol came into her hands. She was given so much power at a young age in the Order and abused it entirely but she doesn’t see that as a problem because, guess what, Chantry told her for all of her life that that’s ok!! so she’s the most Realistic(tm) villain of them all. 

anyway. I also hate the fact that Cullen can have a mage romance and that his DAO nonsense was apparently ‘retconned’ because poster boy golden child can’t do any harm! ugh. 

16) if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one?

different ones, I suppose. I have a ‘canon’ pt with my three heroes and the others are just on their own. 

17) what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc)

....it’s been so long I literally have no idea what i named the dog in DAO other than maybe just Dog.

18) have you installed any mods?

I’ve used romance mods for Cassandra lol. 

19) did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden?

Warden Ibernia was just like... .put into that position and it was better than her life as a casteless dwarf, so she just... Went with it. 

20) hawke’s personality?

Blue as blue can be until it came to people hurting her family. Desdemona Hawke WILL cut a bitch if you hurt her brother. 

21) did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition?

I tried but eh.

22) if your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?  

Ibernia Brosca: probably befriending Leliana more

Desdemona Hawke: she regrets letting Anders just... go.

Zera Cadash: breaking Josephine’s heart. 

23) do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon?

Zera felt that she was ‘not good enough’ for Josephine due to her casteless origins and broke up, dating Sera later on in the Inquisition time frame.

Being able to use a knife in combat lol.

Desdemona Hawke and Isabela leave the Inquisition and go sailing towards that sunset for the rest of their lives.

the first pt of it, i left hawke i think? because i didnt know who hawke was and it was default hawke or w/e

but in my canon, i think?? i left Desdemona behind? but then i reloaded that nonsense and left Alistair instead.
