I've been tagged in this several times now, but I regret to inform everyone that I'm not the type of musician to take anyone for a walk, or a stroll, or a perambulation of any sort. At most, I'm like a nervous museum docent who makes everyone save their questions till the end rather than risk losing their place in the memorized spiel.
I don't improvise, is what I'm saying.
However, I'm happy to recommend someone who can not only take you for a walk but a veritable strut: Don Byron.

Can we talk about how musicians were undervalued first? We now have people rightfully caring about artists, and writers, and actors, but what about the musicians? This undervaluing of the arts hit musicians first, and I’ve brought it up in different groups before, and received backlash and anything short of understanding.
For a while now music has been produced with technology. For a musician this doesn’t just rankle because the music doesn’t have the same depth and has a tinny sound, but because so many jobs and job opportunities have been lost because of it.
I had one person argue that, “They still get called in for the initial recording so the system can have their notes.”
So just a chromatic scale? Just one session of doing the chromatic scale and that’s all that instrumentalist is used for. That is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than playing full songs in a full orchestra. It is mind-bogglingly different. That’s like studios wanting to call actors in for one day of work to be copied for AI. And this has been going on in the music industry for so long that I’m sure these music libraries aren’t calling in musicians much at all anymore.
Technology started trying to do the job of musicians first, and nobody cared.

My most self-indulgent headcanon is that Terzo plays the clarinet, and that he does the time-honored clarinetist tradition of playing "Rhapsody in Blue" all the goddamn time.
Downside: face-paint make reed look like this

a bit of a random question, I know, but what do you know about the sälgflöjt ? is it a common/popular aspect of Swedish culture ?
Hej! Unfortunately I don’t think I’ve heard of it before (which is interesting because it feels like something my dad would be very in to) but searching for it online (also sälgpipa which is the same thing) there are a lot of tutorials aimed at schools/scouting groups so it seems people still learn about them and make them. Listening to some examples it also does feel like a quite traditionally Swedish type of music but I can’t remember ever seeing anyone play it.
@ other swedes/nordics please let us know if you know about it!
