Introducing Clara Afton Schmidt

William didn't actually care about the crying child's death, that's not what drove him to kill Charlie. It was because of the constant arguments he kept having with Clara about his son; Michael.

He was hurting and Clara was the only one that actually cared enough to try and talk to him. Which one led to William storming off in rage, never wanting to see Michael face to face.

So when Will would stormed off, he would go into his favorite bar; JR's and get wasted before driving home or go into Freddy's. Sometimes he'll pass out in the place and be kicked out the next morning.

Henry would try to reason with him since he would sometimes come to Freddy's hungover and that only pissed him off even more. But what really took the cake was how connected he was with his daughter's life. Whereas neither one of his sons never wanted Will to be around him, not even for appearances.

So, on one night as he made his drive home, he decided in a pit of rage to kill Charlie who was last seen locked in the back of an alleyway. To make his co -partner feel what he had to endure that led to a broken marriage.

The next morning, Charlie's body was found in a dumpster, rotting. The only thing by her side was the puppet. They came to a conclusion that it was the puppet that attacked her thanks to its security system going the frizz and William was never suspected as the one behind it.

That was the only time in William's life that he was that sloppy at killing someone.

They're both hurt by each other's actions, they're both suffering and dealing with their grief in their own way. Clara lashes out in response to being hurt, meanwhile Phil just stays silent and keeps to himself, not uttering a single word as he lets himself register what has been done.

They're both good, but also both in the wrong. Just unfortunate events, and unfortunate timing. And to clear and add things up:

Clara has no relation to Phil (Springtrap), they've only known each other for a short period amount of time (which means they aren't married or any of that)

That also doesn't mean they weren't friends during this though, but unfortunate things happen. A lot more than people would want, so their relationship is very rocky and bad, as for now.

Clara and Phil have a potential of getting together, but it isn't guaranteed. Nonetheless they care a lot about each other and act like a sweet old couple, with occasional teasing the other here and there, but it's all in good fun

Both have lost someone during this.

They'll still remain friends later in the story, their relationship isn't tainted forever

Both fought each other during this, the only sign of it happening is Clara's subtle bruises on her face in the panel. Phil can manage himself just fine, however Clara is just human. (?)

Soldered Wires: Smoke Break

"I suppose I ought to pay you back somehow for helping me with my cigarette", said the Ballerina.

The Clown smirked as he twirled his lighter around his fingers. "That seems only fair~ I don't know about you Americans, but we British have a tendency of keeping our favors."

"And if you're much like all the other British men I've encountered, I suppose you'll be asking for a kiss then? Lord forbid a *gentleman clown such as yourself* would ask for something much too risqué that requires a private room~" she asked.

"Such *lewd* thoughts you have~ Your father must've had a few strokes listening to you~", he laughed.

The Ballerina snorted and laughed, trying to muffle the sound behind her hand to avoid attention from the rest of the crew in the tent nearby. "I can admit one of the reasons I came here was because I pushed his buttons a little *too* much..."

The Clown smiled. He slowly rested his elbow on the barrel next to the two, and leaned over the Ballerina. Though this rabbit-masked clown had been nothing but a charming and funny fellow the whole time she worked here, the Ballerina had almost forgotten how much taller he was.

"Let me be the first British man to deny you a kiss and take you on a personal tour of London then"

There was just something about his smile and his piercing blue eyes that intrigued the Ballerina, pushing thoughts of her personal safety out of her mind.

"Alright then" she agreed, raising her hand to gesture a handshake, "You can call me Clara. Clara Schmidt, if you want to be proper~"

The Clown gently grabbed the hand and laid a kiss on her wrist, leaving behind a stain of the rouge makeup he had on his lips.

"William. William Afton..."

That day, William was lost more times than he could count. Somehow the other employees directions were even more cryptic than Henry's. But after many attempts, he had finally made it, to Carnie's station. Yet when he got there, he didn't see any girl.

Just children with plastic guns shooting the targets as an animatronic bear shouted at them to hurry up. So he looked around, hoping to find this mysterious girl; but nothing came up.

He was about to give up on finding her until he accidentally gets spooked by the Carnie animatronic starting back up again. "There we go." He heard a voice, but it wasn't coming from the bear. No, it was coming from underneath it.

Suddenly out of nowhere a tall, slender young woman popped out of the desk. Her wavy, dirty blonde hair and baby blue eyes almost made his lost his trail of thought. "Oh hello, didn't see you there." her angelic voice spoke. "What can I do for you, Mister? Um, uh..." "William Afton." he chimed in. "And who might this lovely lady be?"

She laughed at his attempt to flirt, but decided to humor him because why not. "Clara, Clara Schmidt." she smirked, her arms crossed. Usually when she said that, the boys who flirted with her on the job soon left her alone, ignoring her presence as to not anger Mr. Schmidt any more than they already have.

But instead of backing away, just like all the others. William stepped forward. "Well Clara, I'm kind of new here and my good friend Henry told me to-"

Clara saw something different in him that the others refused to ever show to her, a sign of vulnerability. So in that moment, she interrupted his train of thought. "Let me guess, he asked you to show you around because he's quote unquote busy."

"Henry." She let out a audible sigh, shaking her head in defeat. "That guy is always either working on the next thing or cooped up in that barn all-day working the days away. There's never

"So is that a yes?" he asked.

"Alright, Afton. You've gained my interest." She gently wrapped her arm around his and they began their little tour around the playgrounds of Fallfest.

"I'm willing to give you a test drive." she said with a smile.

To those that think I'm putting William in a bright light this time around, just wait until we get to the next couple parts of this story.

It’s funny because I had to do a “brief” write-up to explain my piece (which felt impossible due to how much I would have needed to explain but I got through it), and so I will leave you with this one quote as it reminds me of those MatPat out of context clips (specifically “…the ENDER DRAGON-” clip) (also I feel bad for my professor but whatever hehe)
