Okay so like: imagine the reader waking up from a nightmare (so bad that her scream wake up the whole septic house) and everyone runs in and she attempts to hug all of them at once because “I THOUGHT I LOST YOU GUYS AND I COULDNT SAVE YOU IM SO SORRY I LOVE YOU DORKS-“
*rubs hands together*
Thank you for the request, dear nonny :3……………
“[Y/n], please help us!”
“How could you let this happen?!”
“You said ve vouldn’t be forgotten!!”
“Please… save…. us!!”
“The world still needs me!! I can’t fade away now!!”
“I don’t wanna be forgotten again!”
You could only watch helplessly as your friends stood before you. They were crying out for your help, their bodies gradually fading into nothingness.
It was something that you always feared: the day that they would ultimately become forgotten. They only existed because of the fans’ memories of them…but now, they only had you left to believe in them.
So why were they fading now? Was your belief in them not strong enough?
You couldn’t understand.
“I-I don’t know wh-what to do!” You cried out, clenching your fists as tears welled up in your eyes. “TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO SAVE YOU GUYS!!”
But your desperate plea remained unanswered as they all stared at you, boring guilty, defeated, and even angered expressions. However Jameson stepped towards you, a sad smile forming on his face. He reached a hand out to you.
Lightly sniffling, you gave him a shaky smile back as you reached out to him…..only for your own hand to phase through his.
“Wh-What?” A look of horror crossed your features. Glancing up, you cried out once more upon seeing the mute gentleman’s form vanish. “Oh no..no, no, no! JAMES!!”
One by one, all of the egos’ bodies faded with Jameson, until there was only Anti left. The demon was transparent, as though he were a ghost, although you could still see the sadness in his eyes.
“A-Anti..” Tears now streamed down your face as you lifted your hand to him. “N-Not you, too, there’s no way anyone c-could forget-”
“I’m sorry, lass..” He mumbled, flinching away from you. “But…this is what happens when…when…..” But he trailed off and fell silent, looking down at the ground.
“When? When what?!”
Anti snapped his head back up, his gaze suddenly turning cold and harsh.
“…when ya make promises ye can’t keep.”
You blinked in confusion at his statement, but before you knew it.
He was gone, too.
All of them were gone….forever.…………
“AHHHH!!!”
You woke up in a cold sweat, beads of sweat already trickling from your hairline. As you glanced around the darkness of your room, you could feel your heart hammering in your chest, feeling as though it was about to burst right out.
It hurt like hell, so you gripped the front of your shirt tightly, closing your eyes and taking deep, shaky breaths. ‘It’s okay, [y/n]..it was just a bad dream..just calm down and-’
Without warning, the door to your bedroom suddenly slammed open, making you jump and squeak in fright. But when the light was turned on, you saw the Septic egos rush into your room, looking for any sign of a threat.
Henrik and Jameson looked tense, Jackie’s eyes were glowing green, Marvin had his spellbook in-hand, Chase gripped his gun tightly, Angus and Anti had their knives drawn, Robbie was growling lowly, and Shawn had his ink-coated fists clenched.
“G-Guys..?”
All of their eyes turned to you and, after finally recognizing that there was no danger, they relaxed and put away their weapons.
After a few moments of silence, Chase spoke.
“Dude, you alright?” He asked worriedly as he walked over to your bed, sitting down on it and gazing at you with concern. “We heard you screaming like you were being murdered or some-”
But he was cut off when you suddenly wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him into a tight embrace. At first he was frozen, although when he heard your breathing start to grow heavy and shaky, he immediately returned the hug. “Hey, shhh..it’s alright..we’re here..” He comforted, rubbing your back soothingly. “Take deep breaths…in….and out…in..and out…”
You followed his words, and soon enough you managed to calm yourself down. Then you muttered something against Chase’s shoulder, which prompted him to pull out of the hug. “What did you say?”
“I-I..I said I’m glad you dorks are here,” you told him, smiling as you wiped the tears off your cheeks, although it faltered when you recalled the nightmare. Glancing up at the others, you sighed, hugging your knees to your chest. “I..I had a dream where y-you..you were all…fading away..”
The egos exchanged stunned glances, before looking back at you as you continued your story, telling them how they were all crying out for your help, how Jameson tried to reach out to you, and Anti’s final, cold words before he vanished from the world forever…ultimately leaving you absolutely powerless to save them.
By the time you finished, they were all crowded around your bed, with Robbie climbing onto the mattress and cuddling close to you. The zombie himself was close to tears, but he held them back for your sake.
“We’re..here…[y/n]..” He told you quietly, hugging you tight. “…we..won’t..leave you..”
Your smile returned as you hugged him back. “I know, Robbie..thank you. Man…I just..love you guys so much…I wish I can hug all of you at once.”
“Well…that may be awfully tricky, [y/n],” Marvin remarked, setting his spellbook on the nightstand as he and Chase switched places. “But..you can still hug all of us if you really need it.” He opened his arms up to you, and you accepted his invitation.
After that, the egos all came up to hug you and comfort you. But it was then you realized the only one who didn’t was Anti.
Looking up, you saw him lingering near the corner of your room, as though he was trying to blend with the shadows. “Anti?”
The demon flinched slightly upon hearing his name. “What?”
“C-Can I get a hug from you, too?” You muttered shyly.
“…….”
“Please?”
With a defeated sigh, Anti glitched over to the side of your bed, sitting down and staring at you for a few moments. Then he slowly put his arms around you, bringing you into an awkward hug. “Erm..there..there..” He coughed nervously, patting your back. “Sorry but I’m fucking terrible at this comforting thi-”
However, he stiffened up as you hugged him back tightly. “It’s okay, Anti,” you reassured him, giggling softly. “I appreciate the effort you’re making. Thank you.”
Anti blinked slowly, but let out another small sigh as he relaxed into the hug a little bit. “You’re welcome, lass..but..just know that no way in hell would I ever blame ya for our disappearance,” he said, resting his chin on your shoulder. “I-We all know ya won’t ever forget us.”
The others were shocked at the words he said…he essentially spoke for all of them despite the fact that he usually hated their guts.
But nevertheless, though, smiles appeared on each and every one of their faces as they watched the sweet exchange between you and Anti…glad to see a change of heart in the usually cold and cruel demon.

The dream (Chapter 0, Part 2)
In the Medicine den there are a few sick cats in the minor quarantine nests, and a few injured cats in the injury recovery nests. Fireblaze has wandered into Foxnoses nest again it would seem.
No cat would begrudge him that closeness really. It must be hard to have fallen in love with a cat who has been dying for six moons. Reeftide looks away, and over to the medicine cats personal nests.
Several cats are sleeping, but Lightningspark is up, grooming his pelt. It looked like he had gotten a few burrs tangled into his fur. Probably from gathering herbs today.
Reeftide dosent want to wake every cat, so he thunks a paw into the ground a few time, hoping Lightningspark will feel it.
The older tom startles, and whips his head around until his golden eyes land on his brothers figure hovering in the medicine den. The surprised look on his face is replaced with a warm smile, and he gets up, padding his way over to Reeftide.
Reeftide purrs. He leans into his brothers side, positioning his muzzle close to his brothers intact ear. Lightningspark was from the litter before Reeftide and Skerrypebble.
"I dont like to disturb you in the night like this, but I've had a dream. A message. From Starclan."
"Never a disturbance." Lightningspark purrs, his tail brushing against Reeftides foreleg. "Especially if Starclan has spoken to you. So tell me what they have said."

The dream (Chapter 0, Part 1)
Reeftide lies in his nest, back to back with his mate. Her every breath he feels against his back lulling him to sleep.
The darkness sweeps around him in a cloud. Sleep embracing him in a comforting hold.
His eyes opened to a grassy field, and a breeze carried the fresh, salty scent of the sea to him. He inhales, getting a lungful, and he glances around.
A black starry figure stood a good sprint away, but begins gliding twords him once his eyes land on the cat.
"Starclan." he mumbles softly. Why was he receiving a dream?
The figure stops a whisker away. "Reeftide, good to see you. I know you do not know me, but my name is Blackcreek. I watch over the clan and I am here to tell you something important." Reeftide bows his head. "Yes, I will listen." He's sure he has heard that name before. However, he is not sure where though.
~~~~
Reeftide lurches up, barely getting his forepaw under himself to gasp and pant. Black water swims in his vision for a moment, before the darkness of the den returns. He shakily inhales, breathing in the distant smell of salt and the scent of the lavender hanging from the reed walls of the den.
"Are you ok? Bad dream?'' Vipercoil croaks, placing a large paw on his bony shoulder.
He shudders, twisting around atop the mashed down fronds they slept on, and buries his face in her fluffy chest.
"Something like that.." He mumbles.
Her boxy head settles on top of his. "I'm here." She says, even as her voice still is thick with sleep.
She was such an attentive mate.
He felt awful.
"I need to visit the medicine den." He says. "About the dream. You rest. You had a long day."
She nods and settles back into the nest. Reeftide gets up; his legs feel like seagrass in the breeze. He pads out of their den to the medicine den, poking his head in to glance around.
Hopefully someone was awake...
