i have so many ideas for art in my little brain yet only so much motivation to draw anything but cladre, mattowen, and my ocs

so I’m trying to start a studyblr/booklr/or just blog in general w all of my interest, but I have no idea how to start + I feel pressure to be a certain way and aesthetically pleasing for all. tbh I’m conflicted. any advice? ;-;

Hello, without giving some general tips, I’d like to say that there are no set rules to this, just do what you want to do and share your journey!!!

know your interests and purpose

It’s crucial to know why you are opening this blog and what would you like to share. What interests you? What do you want to see more of?

make an intro post

Firstly, it gives your blog a starting momentum. Plus, it’s the best way for others to get to know you and gives you an idea of what to expect from your blog!! You can write about yourself, your interests etc. To get a better idea you can check my intro tag to see others intros.

choose a theme

Decide on a format and on a tagging system before you even begin. Most of the time we prefer blogs with easy navigation. Also I think it would be better to have an overall layout in relation to your interests.

post original content

You can post literally anything you want: photos of cafes, your notes, the library, etc. The crucial part is to stay committed and post regularly which will give you traction. Also one more time YOU👏DO👏NOT👏NEED👏TO👏FOLLOW👏A👏CERTAIN👏AES👏, just post whatever you’d like to post and vibe with!!!

tag accordingly//track your own tag

To make your posts visible the best way is to use the popular tags like #studyblr but other than that you can use tags of people you like, for example mine is #studyvan. Most of us check our tags regularly to reblog on our blog!! Also you can track your own tag too and I find it a really nice way to keep up with others and find out about new blogs.

join challenges, ask games, bingos

It is the best way to interact with your followers and fellow studyblrs and it really gives you a place to find people with common interests!!

be friendly and nice

I thought this was pretty obvious but nope some people really don’t know it. So let me say this here for everyone, don’t ask for follow for follows or those types of things, or with other demands in other people’s dms. Most of the time they make me really uncomfortable and from what I’ve seen of my friends it’s applicable to most. Also please do not add your own links/posts etc when you reblog someone’s post!!!
