Just to add to the Claddagh ring not being part of any planned PR, the jeweler said Nicola reached out last minute to have them make it for her. She gave them 4 weeks which is crazy short for a custom piece like that. She got it from them in the 2nd week of June, which means she would have ordered it just before part 1 premiere. If it was planned for PR, they would’ve ordered it in the fall.

As an addendum, listen to Nic talk about her and Aimee making fashion choices for the tour. She literally talks about not wanting to mimic her character. Many actors hire and pay for their own stylists, it’s not always the studios. Even if it is, it’s not super common for them to dictate what is worn.

Tell me about Aphrodite’s jewelry collection!! What kind of stuff is her style?

She is very sentimental and can’t get rid of a gift, for one. So there’s a weird layer of stuff she won’t wear but won’t get rid of because it was a ~present~.

She’s very fussy about her preference of gold over silver and won’t mix metals. I don’t think she likes to wear much at once so she tends to swap out small pendants and little chain bracelets. She has a twisty little cable ring on her middle finger. Overall nothing large or dangly. She just wants to surf and eat chili fries. If she hates something she describes it as “cumbersome.”

Sometimes natural pearls because she likes how lumpy and weird they are.

She has a vintage locket that she likes to keep a picture of herself on one side and the other side is just whoever she has a crush on. Ya know. So when she shuts it, they’re kissing. Dee Dee Ramone was in there the longest but she won’t admit to it.

I feel like she has a cladagh ring from a boyfriend and that one doesn’t come off. We don’t know the story there.

She likes puka shells. They’re, um, a most ancient feminine symbol. 😏🤭

For sure she has a toe ring. Mainly because when she rubs her foot between Ares’ calves at night, it totally gets caught on his leg hair and freaks him out and also she’s kind of contrarian and Hera thinks toe rings are tacky.

This is a great ask because Aphrodite’s jewelry is a very important part of her look. Being a nudist, the accessories really count.

Lesbian ring of claddagh pictures (icons? I don't know!)! The ring of claddagh is used in Ireland (and elsewhere) to represent love, both romantic and platonic. Anything w/ lavender.

14. favorite feel-good show?

Either ATLA or Merlin. They’re both shows I was obsessed with as a kid. My dad and I used to sit on the couch almost ever night and watch an episode of Merlin. It just makes me nostalgic.

19. most important thing in your life?

I honestly don’t know if there’s a most important thing deserving of a superlative. Probably either my baby blanket, the teddy bear my mom passed down to me, or my cladagh ring.

30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?

Black tea, wool sweaters, the Irish radio station that can always be found playing in our kitchen on Sunday mornings, and the sun coming down in rays through tree leaves.

This is my first set up for my self portrait using my belonging. This picture was taken in front of my bathroom door in my bedroom, where have been for 90% of my time. My room is in the attic so the ceiling is low and would be a suitable dwelling for a hobbit.The blue and red zip up was my dads when he was 19 and I wear the absolute crap out of it (my sisters also wore it too) and it looks the same as it did when it was new. I always carry my big handbag with me. I like having the essentials with me such as a scrunchie, a warm hat, lipstick , a hammer you know just girly things. I put in my headphones because I like listening to music and I want people to know I can't hear them. I have a large collection of of funky tights , they just make an outfit. I like to wear chunky boots they're practical and funky and they make me 3 inches taller. My house mates know that I love candles. They combine my love of nice smells and fire ( I'm not an arsonist I swear). I love lipsticks I miss my lipstick stuck in my apartment in Limerick. I have my 2 silver rings placed on my lipstick. One is a cladagh ring that my Mam gave me and the other is a butterfly ring my sister got me in America. I usually never take them off but I have been wearing them because I've been washing my hand 100 times a day. I put in my big mug, I never have a small cup of tea or coffee. My water bottle has been with me through hard times that I inflicted upon myself through going out. Last but not least my glasses can't see shit with out them. They make me look like ever other girl with brown hair and glasses, they also trick people into thinking I'm a lot smarter then I am

I am HEARTBROKEN. I accidentally sent my twisty snake ring through the dryer and it snapped in two pieces. I haven’t even found the other piece so far.

It’s kind of my fault. When I was switching clothes from the washer to the dryer, my cladagh ring fell out and I knew that I had left them in the same pocket together somewhere but didn’t endeavor to find the snake ring at that time.

I hope I can find the other half...it would be pretty easy to superglue them back together, I think, though I can’t guarantee it would look good.

I’ve had this ring for so long I can’t remember where I got it, so it would be pretty hard to replace if I’m unlucky.

i hardly ever take off my jewelry ever! i always wear this choker chain from dalmata and a necklace with an angel aura quartz pendant. i also never take off my rings if i can help it -- i have wear a cladagh ring, a moonstone ring, a crown ring, and vampire fangs ring from verameat every day

But was EVERYTHING merely choreographed and scripted? I doubt that.

Many things flashed before my eyes, one of them was Nic's family reaction when she and luke met and hugged her mum. I mean, I doubt that they can script her mum starting to liking him and all the green light enthusiasm and excitement we saw from her family. Her sister and brother were very nervous and excited upon watching the moment, and her sis in law was literally bawling her eyes out.

Every show that is pushed to have promotion and even promo tour must have a VERY WELL planned PR because after all, it's all big chunk of cash being invested to promote the show. The theme of press, interview, and content, also the countries being visited (and mind yall in Brazil they literally went honeymoon phase long before the actual wedding lol maybe to make up the honeymoon polin never had).

Well, the wedding dress in London premiere could also be one of the plan but the Cladagh ring???? I doubt that. Nic has history of supporting small business from Ireland and she's been making things for personal use, gifting friends, and also charity. The moment was right, she was back home, and this season is her big moment and life turning point, hence newly designed Cladagh ring.

In the end, it's still up to the actors' will to act upon it and play it well. The chemistry, the tension, and the bond are another level of discussion. It's not something that can be made up for the sake of pr. We saw many promos from other actors without that much amount of sparks and love. We cannot fake eyes and body languages. And Nic has been sooooo constant and open about her admiration for L so it's not something new for fans maybe for GA, but back then there was a clear BOUNDARY as L was with J and I always get the feeling that J is very protective and jealous hence N said they stopped repressing their chemistry because it's finally their season and we need to see Polin madly in love.

I don't know about the director who wanted to see L actual feelings? and reaction upon seeing pen and debling dance, but for the wedding dress first time reaction, I remember they did the same for Charithra if I'm not mistaken Simone said that in interview. I guess it's not something so uncommon.
