the Planes are in town this weekend and i keep catching bits and pieces of the show from where im working this week. been going a little wild over it
#my things#seafair weekend is like a mandatory citywide noise complaint. i feel like the only person who Loves when Loud Plane goes by#maybe next year ill actually block out a day and go to the park to watch instead of sitting on my clients back deck#GREAT scenic view if you want to do anything thats not watch planes. just an awful place to actually watch a plane.

man I wish we had citywide festivals and stuff...everything being so insular is so lonely and makes everything so bland and flat
#also I can't rly enjoy any holidays just for themselves either#I'm not religious and I hate my country and most of them are used as excuses for sales and hyperconsumption etc etc#well. at least I'm going to my aunts place later#I realize citywide festivals are also wasteful and extremely obnoxious but every time they show up in books or tv as like community events#they look so fun 😭#cor.txt

100% the best ways to find good cafes and restaurants is to get recommendations from taxis or citywide maintenance workers and to go into places that have white Ford F-whatevers full of landscaping tools in the parking lot. If your bus driver stops the bus to run into a market for fried chicken, it will be some of the best fried chicken around.
