What are your character's opinion on scars?

Thirteen has his own fair share of scars, though they're all (usually? maybe not) covered by his shirt, namely the ones he received from The Flagpole Incident. He's probably been swayed enough by Five that any other scars that might have marred his face are removed. Generally speaking, he doesn't mind them and has no real opinion of them. They're simply a natural consequence of injuries.

Has your character gone through major stylistic or physical changes?

Thirteen normally wears hugely bright-colored clothing and obnoxious patterns and pairings (though he can also definitely pull off extremely hot suits and other dressy fashion, and it's probably a real toss up which he wears more). But he did have a solid black and white phase, which was just for the shock value. The initial expression on his Watcher's face when he came back, not in angry yellows and greens with patterns in violent disagreement, but in monochrome, was everything he could have hoped for. Also, he just looks hot in black and white.

Prior to all of that (becoming a Cipher), he stuck to the typical grays and blacks of the standard Imperial agent uniform, or whatever made sense for undercover agent work.

Then there was that time he cut all his lovely long hair off and went short - for mourning his home planet Ziost and his family.

What is something your character is proud to own?

Thirteen doesn't own much, because he hasn't really had to. Of his most prized possessions is an extremely rare, extremely ancient hardbound book of real paper, with real hand-inked text and illustrations - The Hydian Odyssey, currently in ludicrous demand by both the Kaas Museum of Ancient History and the Sith Purity Council, who are each offering true fortunes for Five to part with it. Five did part with it, but he gave it to Thirteen.

There's also a certain ball gown he was given by a certain Bothan, during a certain vacation to a certain planet. Also a certain wrist chrono, though for Thirteen it's more of temporary custodianship rather than true ownership.

Does your character prefer restaurant food or home cooked food?

Since Thirteen's Watcher is nothing less than a 5-star chef in his own right (and Crow has a talent with the BBQ), he massively prefers home cooked food. But of course, he has nothing against restaurant life either, from the greasiest flying disks to the most upscale 12-course cuisine.

Is there a natural phenomenon that scares your character?

WOW. Yes. How dare.

Lightning and the associated thunder. He's been struck by lighting once (thanks, Ahuska) and broiled by hardcore Sith lightning once (thanks, Ulfran). Both events stopped his heart and nearly killed him! The first gave him an enormously healthy dose of PTSD, and the second one definitely didn't help it, even though no one's yet told him he died about it.

He does not like thinking about it. He's not even acknowledging it, in fact. It never happened. What?

Is there a creature that scares your character?

Nnnnnooooooo. No, I don't think there is. Well, other than maybe the monoliths on Ziost. Thirteen spent some time stranded as the only survivor of the Emperor's destruction, and he encountered a few of the beasts. Wisely, he stayed away, but they left their mark on him.

Who would your character first seek if they needed medical help?

I guess it DEPENDS on the context, but generally Thirteen goes right straight back to his Watcher, which is something he's conditioned to do, and he simply trusts his Watcher with all of his needs. Except, of course, whenever he's trying to hide anything, and then he picks whatever medical professional is available. In Kotfe times, he goes to Ahuska first. They're busting Star Fortresses together anyway, and that way Five never has to know.

Up until he learns that it takes Ahuska's life force, and then he just doesn't bother with anybody. <_<

Who is your character most honest with?

Nobody. When Thirteen keeps secrets, he keeps them from everybody, if only because he's been bestowed with a Watcher who knows him like the back of his hand and is also extraordinarily good at what he does, which is tending to his Cipher. I suppose that means that Five is generally the person Thirteen is most honest with, especially in his early Cipher life when Five helped him to navigate through all the werebeast changes. But things have gotten complicated lately, and Thirteen is less and less able to be forthcoming about a great many things.

What scents does your character find comforting?

Five's cologne and Crow's cologne and also their unique scents. Probably expected, since scent is such a big part of his werebeast life.

Ahuska and Ulfran are maybe sort of also moving up the scale. <_<

Is your character good at practicing self-care?

In terms of daily hygiene? Yes. In terms of personal entertainment and avoiding responsibilities? Yes. In terms of maintaining the health of his werebeast forms? He relies on Five for that. In no way has he ever mastered "preening" his own feathers or oiling his reptavian skin. Ridiculous.

In terms of not spiralling and crashing and burning when everything is falling apart? Lol, not at all.

Okay but consider:

A male character who is cocky and nonchalant, a flippant chaotic neutral bastard, who never really starts beef with anyone but if someone else starts it first, he will not hesitate to go all out balls deep into making sure he'll finish it. Tricksy, clever and charismatic, treating every conflict as a fun rivalry even if the enemy he's faced with is literally just flat-out trying to fucking kill him. While personally never killing an opponent - he's clever enough to evade them in a way that leaves himself unharmed, and the antagonist frustrated and humiliated and looking stupid the whole time they're doing it.

Depicted as somewhat slim and lanky, distinctly male but not in a brutish, hypermasculine way. Not exactly coded genderfluid but jumps at every opportunity to cross dress just for the fun of it, in a campy and flamboyant way, which by all rational sense shouldn't be attractive but somehow the man manages to make himself fuckable with the way he walks in heels. Not romantically or sexually attracted to men, but can, will, and has seduced men just to fuck with their heads. Has broken hearts this way.

I love sparkly coin au, how would Mabel act differently after her memories as Bill return? Since she now has all her memories back? Would she gain back some or most of her old mannerisms as Bill? What else would change?

She actually wouldn't act much more Bill-ish than she already does.

Like there's two ways to look at a "Bill reincarnates as Mabel" AU:

Bill dies, and a totally new and different person is made from his soul; and then, thirteen years later, she starts reacquiring the memories of a different person that used to be made from her soul, and now that different person influences her mind.

And that's not the way I'm doing it.

The other way is:

Bill loses his memories and gets stuck in a new body, but he's still the same person he's always been, he just doesn't have specific memories. Over the course of thirteen years, he naturally learns and grows and changes as a person, as you would expect to happen over time; and then he gets his memories back.

Bill isn't a different separate person whose influence Mabel is only now being exposed to. She was Bill from the start. The point at which her mannerisms, behaviors, and actions were most Bill-ish was when she was a toddler; and all the ways she's different from him now isn't because she's missing 1,000,000,000,000 years of being Bill, but because she's gained 13 years of being Mabel.

We see, in the show, her learning to become less Bill-ish: to put her family's needs over her preoccupation of the week; to accept that things change and she shouldn't try to cope with it by retreating into a fantasy world over which she has full control; etc. That process has been going on since she was born.

So usually, getting her Bill memories back just lets her understand the mannerisms she already has. "So that's why I didn't even stop to think before dumping a whole packet of Smile Dip down my throat; I've been trying every new party drug that drops into the Nightmare Realm for forever and it's never caused me trouble before because I'm made out of energy, haha! ... Yikes." "Wait, so, I've been attracted to mysterious-y gory urbany-legend cryptidy things like Bloody Mary for like, a billion zillion years? ... Suddenly my thing for vampires makes a lot more sense." "Well, now I know why I avoid wearing shoes with laces as much as possible! Becaaause they're evil!"

(That's what most of the fun of this AU is for me: reframing Mabel traits as Bill-ish traits and reframing Bill traits as Mabel-ish traits. So it's not about GIVING Mabel Bill's traits; rather it's about saying Mabel ALREADY HAS Bill's traits and then trying to convince y'all that it makes perfect sense.)

Some superficial surface traits might drift toward being more Bill-ish; like, an increased appreciation for the color yellow. But most of the changes from her memories returning come from either, one, specifically the psychological effects that just knowing she's Bill Cipher would have (like, y'know, guilt over tormenting her grunkle and nearly murdering her brother); or two, things she's only capable of doing when she's got vast cosmic knowledge at her disposal.

For instance: she does arts & crafts, she's always loved arts & crafts. Sock puppets, macaroni art, crayon portraits, glue gun fashion, you name it, she's a master at it. But now she's remembered how to make one of her all time favorite crafts: bubbles of pure madness! This is gonna keep her occupied, like, all weekend.

Okay, so 13 has SEVERAL people who are important to him (Five, Crow, Ahuska, Ulfan, his parents). But if we HAVE to pick ONE, then it would probably have to be Five, sorry forever, Ahuska. XD

Five probably doesn't know it, but he plucked 13 up out of one of the lowest points in his life. 13 volunteered for the Cypher/werebeast program not because he necessarily wanted that or cared about it, but because it got him out of his current line of work, which was bloody, unforgiving, ruthless, and depressing. Five gave him a reason to keep on living, gave him a home and the love and care and kindness he didn't know he needed. He singlehandedly turned 13's life around and made it into something genuine and incredible. Turning into a werebeast, as much as 13 loves it, is just a footnote to being Watcher Five's Cipher.

13 would go to obscene lengths to protect Five. Of course, circumstances have a lot to do with it, as he was definitely willing to leave Five in a situation that got his arm ripped off by Ahuska (not that he knew that would happen) (it was for Five's own good) (and really, that was the bed he made himself). But outside of that, 13 does not care who or how many people, innocent or not, are in the way, if they stand between him and protecting the life of his Watcher. Five is his person. He owes Five everything, and he loves Five more than anything. He would commit crimes to make sure Five is safe, and they would be simply inconsequential.

💔 (broken heart) - Who has your character hurt most? Physically or emotionally? How did it feel? Do they regret it?

Aside from all the people he's killed throughout his career? Well, Thirteen did rip Crow's leg off. Or was it his arm? Anyway, Crow is several large pieces closer to droid than human, courtesy of 13. 8) 13 calls them enhancements.

Oddly, it's not something that really weighs on him because it was in the pre-flirt days when they were legitimately trying to kill each other. Crow was just too damn lucky for 13 to succeed, but he was definitely trying. I don't think 13 was even that annoyed for having failed. He was having too much fun at the time, and they're both professional killers. They both know the risks.

I do like to think that 13 did express some kind of remorse later on, though, in some rare, tender moment. He loves Crow's cybernetic parts to bits, but he regrets the pain Crow went through to get them.

13 does regret the pain he and Five have caused Ahuska, and he's doing his best right now to make up for it. Even so, there's probably some more emotional hurt coming Ahuska's way ... <_<

🍓 (strawberry) - Does your oc believe in anything? Are they superstitious? Religious? Atheistic? Has anything in their past made them this way?

13 isn't strictly superstitious, though there is something of a spiritual connection to his home planet of Ziost. Living primarily underground because of the harsh weather means that the uniquely lined native rock has taken on a huge cultural importance, as well as the bent trees and the shape of the landscape. It's the type of cultural connection and meanings that aren't loudly celebrated, but just kind of quietly there. As a teenager, 13's greatest wish was to escape from Ziost, so he didn't really know what he had, or what he'd lost, until it was gone.

He's not particularly religious, though (like most Imperials), he does subscribe to the idea that the Emperor is a living god, as well as the supremacy of the Sith. The evidence seems very real, after all.

He'll invoke the gods of various religious that have become popularized, but to say that he believes in any of them would be a stretch. In the Empire, the primary religion is the Sith and their unknowable Force.

🐞 (ladybug) - What does a perfect day look like for your oc? What do they do? Who do they see?

13's hobby seems to be the pursuit of perfect days, and he's had many of them! Generally, it's some form of relaxation, namely a beach, a spa, or both! Generous amounts of Five's cooking, minimal amounts of clothing (or, conversely, the most ridiculous and obnoxious clothing possible, which is swiftly removed), and 13 as the center of attention. His favorite people (somehow) don't all get along, so some combination of Five, Crow, Ulfran (and maybe even Ahuska, who has somehow entered his life <_<) will make him perfectly happy.

🧣(scarf) - What comforts your oc? Is it an item? An action? A person? Whatever it is, how any why does it comfort them?

13 is a very physical person, which probably has a lot to do with his early life as a werebeast. Touch is a huge comfort, namely from the people he loves. (That's since broadened into psychic touch, from the people in his life who are Force sensitive).

He is also very partial to soft singing and music.

👠 (heels) - How does your oc dress? Are they stylish or casual? Do they keep up with trends or do their own thing? Do they prefer designer clothes or going to the thrift store? Do they have a signature item of clothing?

All of the above. But 13's signature style is stylish pieces, each quite trendy on their own, definitely from the most expensive and exclusive designers he can get his hands on, but cobbled together into the most obnoxious and visually offensive thing you can imagine. He's not above mixing designer with thrift (or theft). Part of the signature is that it's only worn once. ;)

But he can pull off casual looks as easily as designer styles. He can do dresses and heels. He looks some version of amazing in whatever he wears. 8)
