LOOK AT YOU, BOY I INVENTED YOU.
y/n thought creating a silly robot as a boyfriend when feeling lonely would be feel until the robotic man turned sentient and very much knew what he wanted and how much he wanted his creator.
onyankapon x black fem reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
tw— reader is a nerdy scientist so yeahhh, Onyakopon is a robot obviously, jealousy, onyankopon is taller than you here, sorry!, shitty plot, kindaaa porn with plot, onyankopon calls reader creator, very cheesy dialogue,
a/n: I’ve never wrote full on smut so don’t expect the best !
Tumblr media
If anyone had told y/n creating a robot with emotions and thought would be troublesome on her and have consequences she would’ve truly listened. Usually she would’ve seen the logic in this 6 months ago but she had came off a big breakup with her boyfriend, and the worse thing was he broke up with her over text and after seeing that heartbreaking text she was forced to see him in a nightclub with the girl he broke up with for on Instagram stories. So doing what she usually did, she turned to inventing things. Embarrassingly, the boy she invented herself was very inspired by her now ex boyfriend looks and celebrity men she always seen. Muscular build, black jet locs on his head, dark skin with a spider tat on the bottom of his abs.
But it seemed like she programmed the boy bot, onyankopon too smart. She had programmed the man to be obssesed and in love with her and only her but she didn’t think of the set back this would have for her. At first it was sweet really, how he would pick her up and automatically make his own muscular chest feel soft and less like metal so he could sit her on his chest while looking up at her pretty face making a grin through his robotic eyes. How he helped her slip her foot into some shoes for work was sweet also, and the soft kiss he gave on the clean shoe now on her foot making her bashful. It got out of hand once he got…jealous? She would bring her boy boy out to outings when she wanted to show off she had a cool bot or boyfriend (fake boyfriend). When she took him to public places where men occupied the spaces they were trying to attempt to flirt with her that triggered him. It was like he went through a sequence, as soon as any man tried to go past flirting and actual flirting he would grab their wrist with a iron grip and a glare in his robotic eyes making the man let out a genuine whimper that makes her gasp.”Onyankopon! Let go of that man’s wrist!” He of course listens on her command and let go almost letting out a human scoff at the man on the floor.
Once the both of you got home you could feel anger practically bubbling on onyankopon’s metal brown arm. His facial expression didn’t show it exactly but he was upset as he sat on the living room couch. Y/n stood up above his tall sitting figure looking at him with a stern look.”Onyankopon, why’d you do that to that man? You could’ve gotten me in real trouble, and you in some big trouble..” she mumbled the last part with a hand on her hip. Onyankopon made what sounded like a sigh coming out his mouth, his smart brain came up with the smartest response.”I am designed to protect and love you creator. So, I can’t allow another individual to flirt or go as far to touch you without your consent.” His eyes met hers as he said that, some boldness in his tone.
She frowned looking down at him and took a step forward, his respond was perfect and he did have obvious logic in his actions. God, why did she program to be so…perfect?”well as your creator, you can’t just hurt people in public I say onyankopon. You’re my boy boy and I say you can’t hurt potential lovers” onyankopon raised a brow at that and sat up.
He didn’t know what this feeling was, ever since he’s been created his creator has been having him experience feelings he felt he was ever meant to have. The feeling was.. anger at her words. He’s been with her throughout 6 months and would be dammed if she threw it all way. He still sat down on the couch on her level with what looked like a frown on his gorgeous face and his lips in a pout and eyes glaring up at her, giving her a small shover.”I mean this with zero disrespect creator, but i find you’ll need no other male than me in the near future.” a smile grazed his mouth.”Knowing what I know, I find that I’m the perfect match for you. I know you hate dragonfruit, love coconut water and potato bread and dislike heavy smelling cologne that’s displeasing on your nostrils.” He then stood up above her shorter figure.”I know you love muscular men.” He softly grabbed your wrist to make sure he didn’t have a iron grip on it and laid it on his chest.”you love the feeling of grazing your hands up and down a muscular chest and abs. And you perfer a man with a brown or dark complexion with locs and good musical taste and fashion.”a bashful look got on her face as her hand studied his chest. God, why did she program this bot with such a high iq?
She huffed, hand still gliding down his muscular chest.”why don’t you show me what kinda man I like in bed then? Since you’re full of answers..” she mumbled the last part, almost challenging him.
Tumblr media
He didn’t even answer before he had her on her own bed on her back naked with her clothing and his discarded in a corner. He was towering over her with her eyes looking him and up down. If she wanted him to show the type of man he is, he would show her.
With his metallic brown dick standing proud nearly right in her face y/n made a gulp. Onyankopon took note of that and made what look liked a small smile forming on his lips. Grabbing both her legs he positioned them on his strong metal shoulders with a determined look in his eyes.”i assume you’re ready for me to show you the kind of man you need in bed creator?” She nearly gasped when she felt his dick enter her and the warm feeling she got from it. She tried to show him she still had the upper hand as his creator. She tried giving him a cold stare but gave a shakey nod. With that confirmation he fully pushed in, he could already feel how warm and wet she is.
He made a very human groan as he fully pushed in, matching with the whimper she made. Her toes curled with her hands gripping the sheets once she felt a buzzing noise… inside her?”hmph…wait… buzzing noise?” The buzzing intensified making her gasp.”that’s coming from my Corpus spongiosum.” He said with a smile. She moaned feeling the buzzing warm feeling on her pussy.”j-just—fuck— say dick or something..”
She could’ve sworn she heard a chuckle after that. With his buzzing dick he sped up his thrust with his hands gripping her legs that were on his shoulders. Her moans and whines got higher and higher feeling his thrust get rougher.”w-wait! I might..” he didn’t stop though and thrust got sloppier with her wet pussy. Eventually she creamed on him embarrassingly for her. That made onyankopon do a rare big grin.
“I’m not done here, I have to show you every way why I’m the perfect man for you.”

the night we met (k.h.j.)
Tumblr media

the first time the doubt seeped in was 6 months ago. hongjoong had called to cancel your weekly date, apologising profusely over the phone, saying he would make it up to you; but that wasn’t what had set things off. it wasn’t uncommon for him to cancel during the morning of the date every now and then, you yourself would sometimes, whether it be too tired, or feeling sick, anything. it was him cancelling the next week that made you begin to worry. hongjoong is never one to cancel twice, always prioritising you over work. you had brushed it off, yet the unsettling feeling still lingers in the back of your mind. by the third time he cancelled, you confronted him, calling him after he sent a short text, saying ‘need to cancel, sorry’, only to be sent to voicemail.
sighing to yourself, you knew there was no point in going to his studio, there were chances he went out with friends. when night came, you laid on the couch, trying your best to fight off the weight on your eyelids that were causing them to droop. upon hearing the door unlock, you sat up immediately, rubbing the drowsiness away in your eyes. “baby, have you been waiting for me?” hongjoong’s shocked voice travelling into your ears. “of course,” you smiled weakly, yawning, “i missed you.” “i’m sorry honey, i know i’ve been cancelling, but i thought you wouldn’t wait for me. i knew i was going to work late and i wanted you to sleep earlier,” he sat beside you, gently pushing your head into his lap, caressing your cheek gently. “i’ll always wait for you.” upon hearing that, he leaned down to kiss the crown of your head. “i love you, joong.” you were too tired to notice he never said it back.
it was thursday. you had finished classes earlier and went back to hongjoong’s apartment, hoping to visit him after not being able to see him for well over a week. you weren’t even surprised anymore when you opened the door to be met with an empty apartment. making your way over to his bedroom, you frowned upon seeing the door closed. he was never one to close his bedroom door. you slowly pushed it open and peeked your head through the doorframe, still holding on to the slim chance of him being inside, only to be met with disappointment upon seeing the light switched off.
turning it on, your eyes widened at the sight of the messy state of his room. his desktop computer still sat by the corner of his desk, his chair swivelled a bit to the side (you smiled a bit at that, hongjoong was never one to tuck his chair back in, always complaining when it ends up getting in his way) the unmade bed, spare headphones discarded lazily on his bedside drawer, wastebasket filled with scrunched up paper balls. everything was as it should be.
you sat gingerly on his chair, spinning around a little, the turned-down picture frame next to his computer catching your eye. without even turning it back up, you already knew which picture it was, yet you stood it straight anyway, immediately met with three polaroids side by side in a row, taken on each of yours and hongjoong’s anniversary. you remembered getting a frame with him at a nearby local store, and sitting on his bed afterwards, him carefully pulling the three polaroids from his photo album and placing them into the frame, playfully arguing with you about how to place the order of the polaroids.
the polaroid of your second anniversary was first, the one on the far left. he had taken you roller skating, except neither of you were very good at it. you let out a small laugh at the memory of him falling and pulling you down with him. you also remembered being too scared to ask someone to take a polaroid of the two of you, needing him to ask for you, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek before doing so.
the polaroid on the far right was your third anniversary. he had remembered you mentioning off-handedly about wanting to stargaze, and did exactly that. he had eagerly lead you to the han river after a nice dinner (which you insisted on paying for), pointing out random stars and blurting out random constellation names, making up their meanings. “you see that column of stars over there? it’s called the lobster constellation. it comes from the fact that lobsters hold hands in fish tanks, because they’re married for life, or something like that? i forgot what phoebe said,” he sounded unsure of himself, “and it basically means you should kiss me” you laughed at that, but kissed him anyway.
the one in the middle was your favourite one. it was also his favourite, you liked to think. it was your first anniversary with him. it was a selfie that hongjoong insisted would work, but ended up with the two of you being a little off centre with a stranger at the background, yet it was your favourite one, because both of you had the biggest smile on your faces, with his free arm wrapped tightly around your waist, holding to as close to him as possible.
placing the picture frame down, you leaned back against the chair, feet accidentally kicking the wastebasket tucked underneath his desk, spilling the paper balls on the floor. sighing, you bent down to pick them up, halting when you realised you recognised exactly where the papers came from. hongjoong’s diary. the one you gifted him.
you tried to resist the urge to open one of them up to read it, only to give in, taking the nearest one and opening it up. you immediately stiffened up upon reading the date written in bold at the top. your one month anniversary. your breath hitched as you read through it. you would’ve appreciated all the sweet words he had written had your name not been crossed every time it was mentioned.
swallowing thickly, you picked up a few other ones in the wastebasket, opening them up as well. you felt your heart thumping faster and faster as you read more and more entries, all of them from significant dates in your relationship; the three month anniversary, one year anniversary, first christmas, second valentine’s day, third date— you shoved them all back in the basket. it was all too much to bear.
you silently glanced around his room again. you felt haunted by the ghostly presence of him in his room, it was like he was right here, but also not at all. it just wasn’t fair. you ignored the growing ache in your chest. you ignored the tiny cracks on the glass of the picture frame, indicating he had thrown it around at some point. you ignored the half peeled off stickers you had stuck along the base of his keyboard. you ignored the beanie you gave him for his birthday last year carelessly shoved under his mattress. you ignored how the photos on his corkboard had pins going directly in between the two of you.
you ignored how deep down, you knew hongjoong no longer loved you the same way he did. when it happened, or why, you had no idea, nor did you have the motivation to ask, knowing there was no point in asking questions you didn’t want answers to. but what you couldn’t ignore, was the longing feeling of wishing someone could take you back to the night you first met him, because even though this story would end the same way no matter how hard you tried to stop it, you’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.

╭──────────.★..─╮
*Chapter Six*
╰─..★.──────────╯
WC: 6k
Warning: 18+, age gap, smut, fluff, toxic elvis, manipulation (kinda?), drug use, it’s the 50s/60s
Pairing: elvis, black reader
Disclaimer: full of inaccuracies, inaccurate timeline, inaccurate depictions of Graceland, historically inaccurate themes and items
Masterlist: Prologue, Ch. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
“There you are.”
“Were you looking for me?”
You were standing at the counter in the kitchen—preoccupied with some homework that you were desperately trying to finish in between your chores—when Elvis entered the kitchen. He stood over your shoulder for a second, looking down at what you were doing before kissing your cheek and walking away.
“Why were you looking for me?” Your eyes followed him as he grabbed a glass from the cupboard.
“I have some news,” He said, his lips turned up in a suppressed smile as he filled his glass under the tap.
“Good or bad?” You asked, although you already had an idea. He left the glass by the sink and leaned against the counter beside you.
“I gotta go to Hawaii, the Colonel’s got something set up for me out there.” He must’ve seen the immediate devastation in your eyes. “But,” He added quickly. “We found a spot down there and I’m takin all y’all with me.”
“Who is ‘all y’all’?”
“All y’all. You, Dawny, Cinny, the boys. Everybody.”
“Why would you do that?”
“I found a house, and it wouldn’t make much sense to get that big a place just for it to be half empty.” He shrugged. “I told Daddy I wanted all of you there to tend to it. So that way I can bring you with me.”
“How long have you been conjuring up this idea of yours?” You had to admit you were amused. “It’s awfully creative, really, but I doubt Dawn would go. Not to mention it’s a waste of money~”
“You don’t worry about how I spend my money, birdie, okay?”
“I was just saying~”
“And why make assumptions when we can ask Ms. Dawn herself?” He walked back to the kitchen door, calling out for Dawn before returning. “She’ll have to say yes once I get done with her.”
“Maybe I should go.” You didn’t want to be alone with Elvis and Dawn. You knew she was still heavily suspecting of the two of you.
“Don’t go anywhere,” Elvis said just as Dawn walked into the kitchen. “Hey, Dawny, I was hopin to run something by you real quick.”
“Everything alright?” Dawn asked, her eyes moving between the two of you. She looked confused but you knew there was more to her expression than that. You cast your eyes back down to your homework.
“We were talking and I mentioned that I was going out to Hawaii for work and I needed to take you and Cynthia and everyone with me to tend to the house down there,” He explained in one breath, not giving her room to interject as he continued. “And she’s got it in her head that you wouldn’t be interested in goin.”
“To Hawaii?” Dawn asked in shock. “Why wouldn’t you just hire new help when you got there?”
“That’s what I was saying.”
“I know y’all, and I trust y’all,” Elvis said. “I’d be much more comfortable having you out there than hiring people I don’t know. It’s already been arranged and taken care of, all you gotta do is say you’ll go and it’s done.”
“I don’t know~”
“I’d only make you work three days a week, just like usual, nothing special,” Elvis continued. You had to bite back a smile at his determination. “You can do whatever you want with your free time. All expenses paid.”
“She has school, and there would be no one here,” Dawn said, still reluctant. “I’m sure Cynthia would be happy to go down there with you, but it makes more sense for us to stay here.”
“I’ll write a note to the school, they’ll put some assignments together and let her mail em in. I had to do the same thing for Joel ‘fore he graduated high school.” A smile started to form on Elvis’ face as he watched Dawn scramble for another excuse. “Her studies shouldn’t be affected at all.”
You peaked up from your textbook to watch Dawn as she struggled internally with the idea. If you knew anything about Dawn, you knew that she was never one to be easily swayed.
“Well…” She sighed, crossing her arms.
“Well?” Elvis smiled charmingly, matching her stance with his arms crossed.
“Well, alright, I guess.” You looked down to hide the shock on your face. Dawn caved. “When is all this happening?”
“Not for another couple of weeks.” You could hear the triumph in his voice as he laid out more of the details for Dawn. “You’ll know the rest as soon as I do. A-And if you see Cinnee, you’ll let her in on everything?”
“Sure,” Dawn replied. “She’ll be happy to hear.”
“Thanks, Dawny, you’re perfect,” He said. “Y’all take care, don’t work too hard now.”
“Alright now,” Dawn said.
You didn’t look up from your textbook, hoping that you came across as unbothered despite the way your heart was hammering away with excitement. “I didn’t think you’d let him talk you into that.”
“It didn’t seem like I had much of a choice.” Dawn clicked her tongue in aggravation. “Put that away and go sweep the porch. They went and tracked mud all up and down the steps last night, doing god knows what.”
You closed the book with a reluctant sigh. “I’m never going to finish this in time.”
“You shouldn’t have slept until one in the afternoon.”
“I already told you that I overslept.” It wasn’t a lie.
You’d been oversleeping more and more in the last few weeks. Trying to keep up with Elvis’ sleep schedule by being awake when he was awake. Sleeping when he slept wasn’t working out for you. Most nights you would stay up until you physically couldn’t anymore, exhausted from work and school. “It won’t~”
“~happen again. I know.”
You muttered an apology and went to get the broom before going outside. The air was warm that day, the boys all ran around wreaking havoc and causing a ruckus. You smiled a little when you caught sight of Elvis rough housing with Joel, pretending to teach him how to fight but really just playing tricks on him.
He called out to you when he saw you, getting your attention along with a couple of the other boys. You raised your hand over your eyes to block the sun. “Watch this, they call it the sleeper hold!”
You shook your head as Elvis maneuvered Joel into a chokehold. “Elvis, don’t hurt him!” You complained.
“I’m teachin him to fight like a man!” He laughed as Joel struggled against him, eventually breaking free before sparring with him again.
You got back to sweeping the porch, doing it in a rush so that you could get back to your homework. At least until Dawn found more busy work for you to do.
Class that night went on as usual, you got there just in time for your first class and left promptly after your last. You hadn’t spoken to Barb, Pat, or the guys since that night at the diner. They tried approaching you a few times but they eventually lost interest in you. You felt bad at first but after the first week of not speaking to them the other days went by painlessly.
Instead of going to the diner after class, you went straight back to Graceland to spend time with Elvis. You were afraid you were isolating yourself too much, but accepted that you preferred Elvis and Graceland more.
“I don’t think Dawn’s ever said no to me, she doesn’t have it in her.”
You laughed as Elvis went on and on about how easily he’d convinced Dawn to go to Hawaii. He was so proud of himself.
“It’s all gonna work out,” He said, looking up from where his head lay in your lap.
You sat against the headboard of his bed, your textbook abandoned beside you. You were supposed to be getting some work done and Elvis was supposed to be catching up on his reading but you were too distracted by each other.
“How far have you gotten on that book?” You teased, nodding at the abandoned book.
“Oh, well, pardon me,” He said sarcastically, reaching for it blindly. “It’s not my fault you’re so distracting.”
You laughed. “I barely said anything.”
“You don’t have to say anything.” He opened his book to a random page without looking away from you. “How can I read when you’re sittin here lookin all pretty in your little dress?”
“Give it a shot,” You said, nudging his head with your knee until he sat up.
“You’re plain cruel.” He moved to sit beside you, kissing your cheek before settling down. “Get to work, little girl.”
“I’m trying.” You put your book in your lap again, pulling your knee up to keep it balanced as you wrote.
You both turned your full attention to your tasks, a comfortable silence settling over the room. Elvis hummed quietly to himself as he read, you didn’t think he noticed—suddenly enthralled with the book that he couldn’t bring himself to read two minutes ago.
You’d started to make some leeway on your assignment when he snuck a hand onto your thigh, resting it there without looking up from his book. You glanced over at him but he seemed to still be invested in his reading. You had half the mind to know he was up to no good but you didn’t pay him any attention. That was until he shifted in his spot, inching closer to you.
“El,” You warned.
“Hm?” He responded, his hand slipping more toward your inner thigh. He didn’t take his eyes off his book, continuing to hum along to whatever tune he couldn’t get out of his head.
“Be good.” You moved his hand. “Can you, please? For at least twenty more minutes?”
“What do I get if I am?” He challenged, meeting your eyes with a smirk. He had that look in his eyes that made you want to drop everything and do whatever he wanted—but you managed to resist.
“Be good and you’ll find out,” You said vaguely. He looked pleased enough with the response as he put his left arm over your shoulders, holding his hand out for you to hold. You intertwined your fingers with a smile before returning to your work.
You liked nights like this the most. Nights when the two of you would simply exist together in a shared space. Nights when Elvis was in a good mood, when his patience wasn’t short and he was able to laugh with you. You wanted to hold on to times like these.
Eventually the twenty minutes winded down and Elvis made a show out of letting you know it. Tossing his book to the side and using his free hand to close your textbook.
“Hey,” You complained, you were mid-sentence when the book fell shut with a heavy thud. “I was almost finished.”
“That’s time.” He took the textbook from your lap and abandoned it next to his. For all you knew he could’ve been lying about the time, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care as he kissed your neck. “Was I good, mama?”
The question sent a shiver down your spine, sending you squirming away from his advances. “Sure.” He didn’t let you get away. He hooked his hand under your left knee and pulled you into his lap, looking up at you with an expectant smile. “What?”
“You owe me,” He said. “What’s it gonna be?”
“I don’t know.” You shrugged, placing your hands on his shoulders. “What do you want?”
“That’s a dangerous thing to ask, birdie,” He said, narrowing his eyes suggestively. “You give me an inch, I'm gonna take a mile.”
“I can handle a mile.”
“You think so?”
“I think so.” You leaned forward until your lips graced his but pulled away, smirking softly as his baby blue eyes darkened substantially. “What’s it gonna be?”
“I guess I’ll take you on a little ride,” He said, his eyes traveling over your body. “You look tall enough.”
You couldn’t help but smile as he closed the space between you in a tender kiss, his teeth nibbling gently at your bottom lip. You gripped the hair at the nape of his neck, forcing a hum of approval from his lips as your nails scraped against his scalp.
He always got so caught up with kissing you. He would kiss you until he got restless and wanted more. You never got tired of the feeling, if he didn’t stop himself you’d let him kiss you for hours. You craved him in so many ways that you couldn’t focus on just one. All you wanted, all you needed was to be close to him.
He swore under his breath, breaking the kiss. “I love you in this dress.”
It was a soft pink dress with a sailor’s collar. You hated it after you’d bought it and tried it on—it made you look too girlish—but you made yourself wear it since you paid for it.
“I only wear it when I don’t care how I look.”
“I’d hate to see you care.” His hands guided your hips as they rocked against his. There was hunger burning behind his eyes—subtle but intense.
“You’re so pretty.” You confessed impetuously. If you weren’t so absorbed in the moment, you might have kept the thought to yourself. But you didn’t care.
He laughed. “No, baby, that’s all you.”
He leaned forward with a grunt and pinned you beneath him.
“You’re it.” He kissed your neck as you squirmed.
“I’m always it,” You complained with a smile.
Elvis liked to play tag. Sometimes he’d find you around the house, or you’d run into him, and one of you would whisper ‘you’re it.’ Effectively initiating a game. From there whoever was “it” would proceed to chase the other until they were ultimately lured into bed. You’d take turns cornering each other around the house, stealing an occasional kiss or letting your fingers brush ever so slightly as you passed. Things would usually escalate from there and eventually one of you would cave and beg for release. It was fun trying to dominate each other, Elvis always got a kick out of it, so he’d tag you most of the time.
“Fight for it. I know you got it in you.”
You were already breathless as he continued his assault on your neck. You forced your leg up, pressing your knee into his stomach. He let one of your wrists go to force it down and you took the opportunity to turn onto your front.
He wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you back against him. He laughed as you got your feet up under yourself and pushed back. He didn’t budge.
“You’re losing.” You could practically hear the smirk on his face.
“It’s not fair,” You complained. “You had me pinned from the beginning.”
“Alright.” He let you go. “Fair fights only.”
You faced him, standing up on your knees. He bit back a smile as you sized him up. You lunged at him with your arms out, only for him to easily evade your advance. You wrestled against him for only a moment before he turned you around by your arms and pulled your back against his chest yet again.
“Fair fight?” He asked, his lips grazing your ear.
“Fair fight,” You sighed reluctantly.
He let you go again, giving you another chance. “Come on.”
You turned to him again. He smiled as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He was tense, anticipating your next trick.
“What?”
“What?”
You quickly adjusted your legs beneath you before using all your weight to fall back and pull him forward. He laughed, catching himself so he wouldn’t crush you. He let you force him onto his back and you pinned his hands by his head. You were sure he could’ve easily stopped you, but he was clearly enjoying the look of victory in your eyes.
“I win,” You stated breathlessly, a triumphant smile gracing your lips.
“I lose,” He conceded.
“Strip.”
He sat up with you still in his lap, kissing the part of your chest that was exposed by the cut of your dress. You move out of his lap, scooting away and leaning back on your hands.
Elvis moved forward to hover over you but you lifted your foot and pressed it against his chest.
“Strip,” You repeated expectantly.
He chuckled, sitting back against his heels to unbutton his shirt.
You let your foot fall, purposely resting it between his legs. He groaned under your touch and lifted his hips to meet your foot but you moved it away before any pressure could be applied to his groin.
“I’m gonna remember this,” He warned.
“Remember it.” You smiled and nudged his thigh. “These too.”
You watched with an amused expression as he loosened his belt and unbuttoned his slacks. He took them off, leaving him completely exposed.
“Good,” You hummed in approval.
“You’re gettin too good at this.” He narrowed his eyes. “I’m gonna have to stop letting you win.”
“Letting me win,” You repeated, rolling your eyes as if you hadn’t already known. “I was going to be nice but now I don’t know.”
“Be nice to me.” He positioned himself between your legs again—you didn’t stop him. “Let me make you feel good.”
You sat up and reached back to unzip your dress. You slipped it off of your shoulders, letting him remove the garment completely before he sat up to get a condom from the drawer.
“Get your motor runnin for me, baby.”
“It’s running,” You insisted, making him laugh.
“Make sure it’s nice and warm.”
He watched without scrutiny as you touch yourself. Your movements were unsure but he seemed satisfied.
“Curl 'em up inside ya,” He instructed.
You whimpered. “I need you.”
“I’m here. Just let me check.”
He replaced your fingers with his own and you cried out at the intrusion. He pumped his fingers in and out, causing the most indecent squelching sounds—only pulling away when you began to tense, anticipating your high.
You forced your eyes open when you felt him position himself at your entrance. His breath trembled slightly as he pushed inside. This was the closest you’d ever physically be yet somehow you wanted him closer. You wrapped your legs around his waist, lifting your hips to force him further inside.
“Here.” He reached behind you to grab a pillow, tucking it under you, keeping your hips elevated. “Yeah?”
“Yes.”
You let your head fall back against the bed. You felt the length of his arousal reaching places inside of you explored only by him as he kissed a tear from the corner of your eye. The salty taste mingled with the sweetness of his lips when he kissed you. Your lips became pliant against his as your jaw went slack in a silent scream.
“Let me feel you, sweet girl,” Elvis encouraged. You felt him quiver inside of you, his thrusts becoming more desperate as he chased his high and yours.
A moan bubbled in your chest, building and building until it erupted out of you. You came in waves—your orgasm rippling over your entire body in smooth fluid pulses.
Elvis followed quickly, the aftershocks of your orgasm effectively getting him where he needed to be before he collapsed on top of you. The weight of his body against yours seemed like the only thing keeping you from floating away. You felt his spent cock twitch helplessly inside of you before he rolled over onto his side.
“Don’t fall asleep on me,” He said, making you realize that you were dozing off already.
You jolted awake again when you felt his hand traveling between your legs. “No, no, no. I can’t take it.”
“Come get ready for bed.” He sat up, taking you with him. “You okay?”
“I’m fine,” You said, standing on unsteady legs. “Tired.”
“Okay, pretty.” He guided you to the bathroom. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”
You smiled endearingly as he helped you clean up. He dressed you up in one of the many nightgowns that he’d gotten you before helping you back to bed.
“You’re leaving soon?” You could barely keeping your eyes open as you laid in his arms.
“Mhm,” He hummed. “You’ll be right behind me when I do.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
*
You couldn’t remember if you’d packed your necklace—the thin, silver chain that held the two rings that Elvis had given you. You remembered purposely taking it off so that you wouldn’t have to explain it if Dawn saw.
You were good about keeping it tucked under your blouse while you were working, but you were traveling over nine hours all together with her and you didn’t want to risk it.
As you sat in the window seat on the plane waiting for it to take off, you subconsciously reached to toy with the necklace.
You tried and tried to remember if you tucked it away safely in your luggage or if you’d completely forgotten it at Graceland. Whether you left it or not, your hands itched for something to fidgeting with as you anxiously waited for the plane to take off.
“It feels just like you’re going up in an elevator,” Dawn said. “There’s no reason to be nervous.”
“I’m not,” You lied. “I just wish we were there already.”
That wasn’t a lie.
*
There was a party that night, much like every night. You, Cynthia and Dawn weren’t asked to prepare for it as you would’ve been at Graceland, so you were free to go about the night however you wanted.
“Going somewhere?” Dawn asked when she caught you leaving your room later that day.
The house was beautiful, walking distance from the beach with a view for miles. You had your own room on the ground floor—noisy nights were bound to be sleepless. The only grievance you had was that it was directly beside Dawn’s bedroom. You didn’t have that problem at Graceland, you never worried about running into Dawn, but here you would have to be extremely cautious of her presence.
“I’m going to go do some homework on the beach.” You held your books in one arm and a towel under the other. “Is that alright?”
“You don’t need my permission,” Dawn chuckled. “The sun’s gonna go down here in a minute though.”
“I know, I was hoping to catch it.”
“Don’t get lost out there.”
“I won’t.”
You couldn’t tell if your relationship with Dawn was getting better or if you were reaching a point of formality where being cordial was just routine. You didn’t really care, you were glad that she wasn’t so cold to you anymore.
“You headed out?”
You’re startled from your thoughts to find Joel coming down the hall behind you. He smiled as he met you, his sandy curls framing his face for a change.
“Joel,” You said with a polite smile. “I didn’t know Elvis dragged you along too.”
“He didn’t give me much of a say,” Joel said walking beside you down the corridor. “I was here before I knew what was happening.”
“I know the feeling.” You chuckled. “How are you liking it so far?”
“It’s nice.” He shrugged, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans. “My folks don’t like me to fly, ‘specially with E.P. They think he’s a lunatic.”
You couldn’t help but laugh as you reached the main room of the house. There was music playing from the record player, a mellow tune gently serenading the several dozen strangers taking up the space.
“What about your folks?” Joel asked, stopping by the front door with you instead of continuing on his way like you expected him to. “They mind you traveling this far?”
“Well, Dawn’s really the only family I have,” You said, ignoring the ache in your heart that you tried not to pay attention to now—no matter how much it hurt. “Wherever she goes, I go pretty much. And Elvis wasn’t going to take no for an answer from her either.”
Joel flashed a smile. “Well, having you here makes it feel more like home. So I’m glad you came.”
“Thank you, Joel.” You smiled.
“I better let you go,” He chuckled, pushing his hair out of his eyes. “Be careful out there.”
“I will be.” You nodded. “Take care.”
“You too,” He said before walking away and disappearing into the mix of people.
As you turned to leave you felt someone’s gaze boring into you. You didn’t have to look over your shoulder to know that it was Elvis, but you did anyway. Scanning the room, you found him watching you from a crowded corner—he didn’t seem to be listening to anyone talking to or around him. You didn’t let your gaze linger longer than a few seconds before you continued out the front door.
You chose a spot a few yards away from where the waves were crashing onto the shore, spreading your towel down on the dry sand before sitting down. The scenery was hard not to get lost in as you sat looking around at the private beach.
After a minute or two of taking it all in you did manage to force yourself to get to work. You were expected to mail in work every week for your classes so it was almost like you weren’t missing them at all.
You worked diligently while you waited for the sun to set, only closing your book and putting your work away when the first signs of sunset started to show. You sat with your legs crossed out in front of you, leaning back on the heels of your hands as you looked out at the sea.
“It’s almost as pretty as you.”
Your head snapped in the direction of Elvis’ voice, finding him walking towards you with a gentle smile on his face. He wore a tropical button down and a pair of khaki shorts, his feet bare. You realized then that you never noticed what he was wearing most of the time—too absorbed with his beauty to look away from his face for more than a second.
“What are you doing?” You asked in a panic. “Someone might see~”
“They’re all drunk.” He laughed as he sat down next to you. He kept a good distance between the two of you, reaching over and snatching the stack of paper your professors stapled together from between the pages of your textbook. “Whatchu doin out here all by yourself?”
“Are you drunk?” You asked humorously, taking the papers back as flipped through them with clumsy fingers.
“Maybe, yeah,” He responded with a short laugh. “I seen you talkin to ol’ Joel.”
“Yeah?”
“Mhm. That boy, I tell you.” You could tell the alcohol in his system was getting to him by the way he laughed after everything he said. “He’s such a kid.”
“Why do you say that?” You wondered.
“His mama’s got him on a leash like a dog.”
“His mother thinks you’re a lunatic.”
“She’s not wrong I guess.” Elvis shrugged, pulling his legs up and wrapping his arms around them as he looked out at the water. “I wanted to be here when you and Dawn got in, I got caught up with the press.”
“We got in alright without you.” You couldn’t seem to tear your eyes away from him, he was more stunning than the sunset. “Why’d you leave the party?”
“I dunno.” His words tumbled out of his mouth. “I seen you leavin so…”
“You know people watch your every move, Mr. Presley,” You said deliberately. “I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea.”
“‘Mr. Presley,’” He chortled, meeting your eyes. “Let ‘em watch, let ‘em get the wrong idea too.”
“How much did you have to drink?” You ribbed.
“I’m not outta my mind, baby, don’t worry,” He said. “We’re not doin anything wrong here.”
You looked away as his gaze grew more intense. “I’m just being careful. For both of us since you have all the liquid courage in the world right now.”
“I saw you alone and came to check on you,” He said. “That ain’t a crime is it?”
“I guess not.”
“You’re not wearing your necklace.”
You were shocked by the observation, your hand subconsciously reaching for the necklace. You didn’t think he noticed that you never went without the necklace. “I took it off so I wouldn’t lose it. I didn’t think you’d notice.”
“Course I noticed.” He smirked proudly. “I like that you wear it all the time.”
You smiled softly, meeting his eyes again. “I’ll put it on when I get ready tomorrow.”
“I’m gonna be gone early t’morrow,” He said. “B-But, I mean, I want you to come to my room t’night.”
“I don’t know how easy it’s going to be with you upstairs and my room downstairs next to Dawn,” You said. “She might see me.”
Elvis hummed thoughtfully, his gaze shifting downward for a moment. “I guess you’ll just be extra careful.”
“Elvis~”
“I didn’t bring you all the way here to not see you,” He said stubbornly. “She won’t catch you. Don’t worry.”
“I hope you’re right,” You said, an edge of sarcasm in your tone. “She’s been nice to me lately, I don’t want to upset her.”
“She won’t have any reason to be upset,” He promised. “I’ll make sure.”
You nodded, looking back out at the sunset. The sky was painted in beautiful shades of orange and purple. “It’s so peaceful here.”
Elvis agreed. “I’m really glad you’re here.”
“I am too,” You said. “Thank you for inviting me.”
He smiled. “You’ll find your way to my room?”
“I’ll try.”
“That’s all I ask.”
He stood from his spot in the sand, dusting the back of his shorts. “Gimme what you finished. I’ll give it to somebody to get mailed out.”
You separated the completed pages and handed them over. “Don’t forget to sign it.”
“I won’t,” He said. “Cinee’s bringing her daughter out here t’morrow. Y’all should go out, see the sights. Take yourselves shoppin if you want.”
You thought for a moment that he could see the loneliness creeping into your eyes. “Okay.”
“Don’t forget. You’re it.”
“Wait for me?”
“Always.”
He waved his hand once before turning and leaving you alone again.
You looked over your shoulder as he left, turning your gaze back to the water after he was gone. You decided not to stay until the sun was completely down—you didn’t want to be alone in the dark—so you gathered your books and folded your towel into a neat square before heading inside yourself. As you were walking in you were shocked to see most of the guests starting to filter out the front door.
You noticed Joel walking out with the guys and stopped him. “Where’s everyone going?”
“Colonel’s got Elvis on a tight schedule,” Joel explained quickly. “He wants the house quiet so he can run his lines and get to sleep at a decent time.”
“What’s it to you?” One of the guy’s asked. You didn’t interact with him enough to know his name, but you did remember seeing him around Graceland all the time. His tone sounded harsh to your ears. You shook your head and pursed your lips as if to say ‘nothing.’
“She’s just askin,” Joel said. “She don’t mean no harm.”
“Goodnight, Joel.” You tried to smile before slipping through the front door, apologizing as you dodged the few people still leaving.
“Oh.” A girl stopped you as you passed her. “There you are.”
“I-I’m sorry?” You asked in confusion as you faced her.
“I was wondering where you were.” The brunette giggled drunkenly. “L-Listen, someone spilled their drink in the kitchen.”
“What?” You asked, although you heard her loud and clear.
“The kitchen.” She pointed, speaking deliberately so that you could understand her. “Someone spilled their drink. You should get it before Elvis sees.”
Someone called out for the woman, walking back inside the house and dragging her out by the arm. They laughed as they rushed out of the house after the crowd.
You stood there for a moment, staring off thoughtlessly, before walking down the hall to your room. You knew that the mess would be there tomorrow for you to clean up, so you’d worry about it then.
“‘You should get it before Elvis sees.’” You mimicked in an annoying voice as you stepped out of your sandals. You rolled your eyes exasperatedly before walking into the bathroom to get changed and showered for the night. As you turned the shower on you heard your bedroom door open. You cut the water off to go see who it was. And of course, it was the devil himself.
“Elvis?”
“You’re always so damn happy to see me,” He said sarcastically as he shut the door and turned the lock. “You’re practically jumpin up and down.”
“I can hardly contain myself.” You responded in the same tone. You cupped your elbows in your hands, folding your arms over your chest. “What are you doing? Dawn’s in the next room, and you’re supposed to be going over your lines.”
“I can’t go over no lines right now,” Elvis drawled in boredom.
“Why’s that?” You asked, biting back a smile as you watched him sprawl himself out onto your bed. “Because you had one too many?”
“I think I had three too many,” He said, making you laugh. “Y-You see, this is why I don’t drink. I feel like a sick fool.”
“Well don’t get sick, fool,” You said, crossing the room and joining him on the bed. He turned onto his side and propped himself up on his elbow as you sat back against the headboard. “I’ve got enough of a mess to clean up tomorrow.”
“Did you just call me a fool?” He smirked playfully. “I’d get you for that if I was in the gettin mood.”
You laughed. “You’re gonna have a headache in the morning. Why’d you drink so much?”
“I dunno, cause that sugary stuff don’t taste like liquor I guess.”
“Good answer.”
“Don’t be mean t’me, mama,” He whined, shifting to lay his head in your lap. “You were it t’night and I still came all this way to see you.”
“Aw, you poor thing. You came all the way down the stairs, you must be exhausted,” You said sarcastically, looking down at him. You brought your hand down to graze through his hair, watching his eyes close with a smile. “No one saw you did they?”
“Sonny got rid of everybody,” He hummed in response. “Colonel’s orders.”
“Elvis.” His eyes opened when your hand stopped moving through his hair. “You can’t sleep here. They’ll be looking for you in the morning, won’t they?”
“I’ll leave ‘fore anyone gets up.” He shrugged indolently. “Don’t worry.”
You nodded, twirling his hair around your fingers go. “Okay.”
“Okay…” His eyes fell shut again.
You smiled softly, watching his features soften until you heard his breathing even out. You sighed and leaned your head back against the headboard, letting your own eyes fall shut as you gently scratched his scalp.
True to his word, he was gone when you woke up the next morning. And so began the torturous cycle of Elvis’ long days of filming and short nights with you.

List 5 facts about a favorite sim of yours, and send this to 10 simblrs whose sims you adore ♥♥♥

I love my Simmies bad, but I’ve been slightly obsessed with Abeba lately 🖤
🖤 she grew up with a strict family dynamic, but her parents were kind. Over time, their relationship morphed to close. When Baldwin came along, old habits died hard and they were hesitant to let her make decisions for herself. Luckily for Abeba, Baldwin is wonderful; he won her parents over utterly.
🖤 secretly Abeba wishes she could be that girl – confident, outgoing, etc. - but there’s something deep inside that makes her stop herself. She’s working on it, though.
🖤 she doesn’t talk about it much, but she misses Cinnie pretty bad - she was her first best friend after all. She’s grown close to Alma now, but it’s still hard not being able to invite her to the house; technically she could, but we all probably agree it’s not prudent.
🖤 she loves plants, but doesn’t have a lot of room in the backyard for a garden. She has a few plots, but that’s it. She’s been thinking about joining Nona & Grammie’s community garden.
🖤 she told Baldwin about a coworker she’s been getting along with; she encouraged her to invite her over sometime - maybe try opening up her circle a little more. Perhaps we’ll meet her sooner than later.
Thanks for the tag, friend! I’m tagging @therichantsim @wannabecatwriter @cinamun @ellemant @ladybugsimblr @earthmoonz @havenroyals @silverspringsimmer @thegloomiestwhim @lre333

BILLS BILLS BILLS !💸
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tw— reader a pretty princess, reader is 26 and ino is 22, ino is rich somehow just by being nanami’s assistant don’t ask me!!,
synopsis— ino is the perfect boy for a girl like y/n.
congrats on 600 naj! @honeybleed . 90’s collab event
Tumblr media
y/n’s worst trait was how forgiving she could be, even to the most heinous acts to her, her boyfriend now ex boyfriend took great advantage of that. It was sweet at first, him taking her to restaurants no matter how cheap they were but then it turned bitter sweet. Turning from him asking her for extra cash and even getting the audacity to even steal her credit card and use her car on his own whim. Once the breakup soon happened she had to ask the question, ‘where are all good men?’ This question even was on her mind as she was at the newest popular club with her girls.
When ranting to shoko and utahime on the Group FaceTime they took her to the new Blue Eagel club saying how there was a lot of eye candy at this joint. Y/n sipped the glass of pink Whitney she had as shoko and utahime had their usual Hennessy. Shoko smiled seeing the corners of y/n’s lips turned off.”whole lotta’ eye candy right? Get you outta that bummed out mood?” Y/n couldn’t help but make a chuckle come out her throat.”Mm… whole lot of male eye candy..”looking around the club she could see some now. a small group of tall of six men, there was about one that stuck out to her. She could’ve sworn she could see him staring at her from her small table. She was broken out her stare from how shoko and utahime made tipsy ‘ooo’ sound effects.
She rolled her eyes smiling at the two.”looks like our babe found her some skinny eye candy?” Utahime teased and it made y/n even scoff with a chuckle hidden in.”oh please.. I just got out a sticky ass breakup, what would I look like lusting over another scrawny man?” Shoko and utahime just raised their eyebrows up and down with a cat like smile.”ain’t that your type?” Shoko said in a teasing tone making y/n have a barely visible blush on her cheek.”Oh hush.. go on somewhere if y’all are just gonna tease me.” That was the invite for the two tipsy girls to make their way off to the dance floor.
Just as they left the man came closer to her table and she got a good look of him. He wasn’t very dolled up like the guys he came with. He was sporting just a normal black dress shirt, some grey slacks but had some generic lazy brown hair. He now stood right in front of her with a cheeky smile.”hey, don’t know how my buddies even do this kinda thing but.. saw ya staring at me across the room.” As soon as he said those words he wanted to cringe and turn pink when you rolled your eyes smiling.”room? We’re in a club. Don’t you mean across the dance floor?”
He played it off chuckling and scratching the back of his head.”I’m bad at catch lines what can I say? Can’t knock down a guy for trying.” Y/n liked his wit, she could tell he was obviously just a nervous boy but still very smooth with his comebacks. She took a sip of her pink Whitney.”mhm.. take a seat yes?” He listened to her taking a seat from across her at the small round table. Now that he was taking a close at her she was a gorgeous girl, with a beautiful dark straight haired brunette lace sat on her head perfectly when he looked at her face she had some light makeup on but her lips popped out with them lined and glossed up and even her outfit was pretty, with her wearing a light pink halter top and a pink mini skirt and chunky light pink chunky platform heels that matched her brown skin perfect. Everything about this girl was pretty to him
She noticed how he was zoning out just staring at her and snapped her fingers.”aye, eyes up here sir!” That made him blink and chuckle.”sorry bout that, can’t help but stare at a beautiful girl y’know?” That made her a bit bashful as she smiled at his cheesy lines. He could tell he was winning her over slowly.”instead of this awkward tension let me know something about the girl who was staring me down just from the dance floor.” She made a light chuckle tapping her fingers on the tables surface.”well, I just got out of weird breakup last night and now I’m here. That’s a small fact.” Ino could control the small damn he let out at that.”Ah shit, sorry that’s just a big bombshell.” She giggled at his reaction.”No no, my ex boyfriend was a bit of dick anyways.. He was always borrowing my car, money and nearly maxing my card out.”
That made ino’s brows raise.”what a way to treat a girl you love huh?” She hummed in response.”what can ya do though? Not much good boys in this town really..” Ino made a huff sound at that, the next thing he said he couldn’t even control out his mouth.”I would never do that to you.” It made y/n giggle to have a boy she barely even knew say this just 9 minutes into the conversation.”you barely know me boy, and yet you think you know what’s best for me hm?” She jokes a little which takes ino aback, everything she said made him fluster and think about the stupid words he said. He attempted to play off his words, still showing his boyish charm and overall confidence despite his blushing.”well I don’t know you well enough since I just met you well about some minutes ago but with how you stared at me across that floor and your body language maybe we can figure something out y’know?”
Before she could make another witty comment he continued.”You may look like you have more experience and a more rich taste but trust me, I could be that man for you. I could do the bill paying, the nice spa treatment and resorts. Just give me one chance.” That made y/n’s legs clench a bit, she still had some excuse up her sleeve.”you don’t even know my name.”
“Takuma ino, what’s yours?” He said it so quickly like he wasn’t taking no for a answer or any excuse. Y/n gave in seeing how determined this boy was.”l/n y/n.”
🎀 ᘏᘏ 🎀
In the 6 months y/n had gotten to know ino he kept his promise and word about treating her right. He definitely paid her bills and treated her to the best restaurants and clubs. It amazed her how he could just have this much money from being a assistant apparently. Throughout these months she started to date ino he showed a lot of chivalry for his age, there were some instances where his romance showed out.
He was very serious about paying her bills and expenses like she thought. Truthfully she thought it would just be some fun little three months she would be dating him till she was 4 months in and saw the effect. Even knowing how financially stable ino was she still hesitated asking him to pay for things, it was just her mentality when growing up poor. Ino had this mentality himself when he was younger, that’s how he picked her up on her habbit of always turning lights off and yelling at him across the room to make sure to turn the bathroom light off once he’s done in her bathroom, she even did this in his house without noticing.
When she was scolding him once again about turning the shower water and lights off more often he just hushed her with a finger on her lips.”babe babe, I can take care of all that dumb bill shit.” It stunned her a bit how he hushed her and he chuckled noticing.”I’m your rich new boyfriend did you forget?”
Another instance was him amazing her when taking her to a fresh new restaurant. It was foreign to her a little, as she looked at the fancy menu and the other customers around she felt a bit out of place even in the mini pink dress she had on. Ino could feel how uncomfortable she was, he had gone through the same feelings she did. Across the small table he put his hand on hers rubbing the back of her hand.”hey, enjoy yourself y’know? You deserve the best treatment. Can’t let ya leave out before you try the oxtails this place has.”
Ino was definitely trying to get her comfortable in his lifestyle and it was working slowly. Y/n didn’t even notice how she was wearing more tennis girl wear and going to a country club with him to meet some of his colleagues and friends.
He was showing he could be the boy to pay her bills and everything and more, before she even knew it.

Cinder's Perspective-
"Stars above, I'm so full," Thorne groaned, stretching his legs to pop the joints that had been sitting for a while now.
"For once I agree, it was a lovely meal," Scarlet adds in praise.
Cinder and Julian murmur their thanks, both quite pleased with the work they had done. Julian grins at her and mouths a 'told you so' making Cinder roll her eyes. She had freaked over making dinner at such short notice for all of them, Julian had assured her on multiple accounts but it was unheard of. Cinder wasn't necessarily great in the kitchen, more times than not she broke dishes and glassware unknowingly. Her metal hand held the containers too tightly, resulting in cracks that made the container and food stored within discard-worthy.
"I'd get this cleaned. You spend time with them," Julian told her as he collected the used cutlery.
"You don't have to. Let me help you, I'll spend time with them later. Besides all of them are staying for a while." She argued back, removing the leftovers in small containers. They might reheat it and consume it tomorrow. Julian always said that "leftovers taste the best" to which she begrudgingly agreed.
"Love, if the signs are right, Thorne would be out before we are done. So go, I have this covered," he said nudging her out of the kitchen. She goes on her toes and kisses him, giving in to his requests as she mumbles an 'I love you', a sense of happiness setting over as she joins the most reckless people she has come to love.
"Would you guys like to do something?" She asked, they had some board games from Julian's childhood in the basement. It could be fun to play them with a large crowd, she thought.
"Cinny, I'd love to join you, but I have eaten enough to sleep for days. You guys continue without me," Scarlet admits, Cinder chuckles softly, hugging Scarlet through her large belly. She shows Wolf and Scarlet to the guest room.
As she walks down, she thinks how not many would be eager to play a competitive game on the heavy meal they had had. She is surprised to see the crowd she returns to, Cress and Iko are glued to the screen watching some romcom. Jacin and Winter are nowhere to be seen, so she assumes they have decided to call it a night too.
Thorne is sprawled on the couch from where he calls her, "I'd- well I wanted to talk about something."
Cinder's interest peaks as she joins him on the couch, forcing him to sit to make room for her.
"Go on," she tells him, Thorne glances at his wife and Iko sitting on the thick carpet and towards the kitchen before saying, "Maybe somewhere alone."
This alarms Cinder, she is on her feet in an instance suggesting if the backyard is good enough. Thorne nods as he follows her out through the back door. The chill of a November night stills them, the icy breeze blowing in their face.
"Do you want to go out in the cold?"
"Not the worst I have faced," Thorne addresses, passing her as he walks barefoot on the lawn. The dew on the grass blades feels cool against her skin, the moisture sipping through.
"What's this about?" She asks, diving straight into the topic. She wasn't the one to beat around the bush, her nerves couldn't support the anticipation. She skimmed through the chats they had had in the recent week, trying to find something that Thorne might have dropped that reflected something being out of place.
"I don't even know if this concerns you—" Thorne says, Cinder cuts him off, "—Thorne put it in words, you are making me worried sick."
"I have got an invitation," he says at last shoving his hand into pockets. He stares into the night sky, the darkness against the twinkling lights of multi-storey buildings. The moon shining bright above, Cinder looks at it thinking of old times. Luna and her once-last lifetime there.
"That's all?" She asks exasperated. Unable to fathom how a single invitation has got Thorne so troubled. He fails to answer her prior question so she continues," From who? Your Parents? But- you mentioned that you cut ties with-"
"It was from Kai," he snaps, stopping her from bringing up his parents.
Kai. Stars.
She is shocked over what to say, so she silently stares ahead at the city lights spread around her house. When the initial shock had calmed, she asked, "What does it say?"
"He invited me and Cress, well, to the New Year's Dinner. He says 'It's for the old time's sake'." Thorne described, his voice dulling out on nostalgia.
Cinder isn't able to express her surprise in words. 'For old times sake' was such a cliche phrase but it was just like Kai to use it to make a point across. She shouldn't have expected any less, he was a born diplomat.
The last time they had spent New Year's together felt like ages ago, it was ages ago- when they were still dating. It was Cinder and Kai and everyone and not whatever else this has become.
Cinder had last seen Kai at an event when she was required to be present as ex-Lunar Queen for the Intergalactic Peace Treaty modifications. Then, she had been like a stranger to him, she couldn't recall if they had exchanged formalities, if she had even been in the same room with him.
"And what did you reply?" She asked trying to keep the conversation going so her mind won't betray her.
"I'm here to ask you that," he says, causing Cinder to spin around.
"The New Year's in 4 days and you haven't replied yet?!" She almost yells, forcing herself to keep her tone in check. She doesn't need anyone to know she is talking about Kai in her backyard while her husband washes dishes.
"Cinder, things didn't end on the best of notes. For fucks sake, I'm sure he believes I'd decline the invite. He said 'I understand if you have plans made and can't make it'- It's like he knows I'd decline." Thorne points out, his frustration clearly showing.
Cinder does seem to forget that her breakup with Kai resulted in a lot of things ending on bitter notes. Especially for Kai.
She hates to look at it this way but it felt like she stole Kai's friends from him. Julian always said that Kai didn't put the effort to be friends with the crew afterwards and she shouldn't blame herself for that but Julian didn't know Kai like she did. Kai willingly stopped putting in the effort because he believed he wasn't entitled to their friendship- unlike Cinder.
She knew how he had sent gifts for Winter and Jacin on their wedding day, choosing to not attend the small ceremony for personal reasons. Iko who was still part of the Lunar administration often came across Kai, she never brought it up to Cinder but knew the friendship was civil for the two. He let all of them go along with Cinder, those years ago.
"Are you willing to go?" She asks, her voice calmer this time, curls around in one of the outside chairs. Thorne joins hers, putting his legs on the hardwood of her coffee table.
"Yes," he admits, now staring at her. Cinder already knew the answer yet something deep inside her hoped for a different one.
"Why?"
"Cinder," Thorne sighs, his hand pulling at his face before he continues, "All those years ago I chose you and I don't regret it. I love you but I loved Kai too. You got everyone out of the relationships but Kai didn't get anyone. It is foolish to think that one feels not guilty for not being there for a friend."
Cinder continues to remain silent, she knows after the revolution Thorne had spent a lot of his time at the Commonwealth. So much so that it was clear, he and Kai were better friends than them. The break-up took a lot from Kai- friendship with Thorne being one of them. Thorne's words had opened up some wounds she liked to keep unattended. The guilt encompassed her being like always when Kai was brought up in conversation.
Realizing his misstep, Thorne pulls her chair towards him, "I'm not blaming you, Cinder but I want to give Kai a chance. I promise I won't bring you up with him or him anywhere near you. It's just- his invite reminded me of the 19-year-old lost boy without friends and it broke my heart. I want to be there for his happiness and sadness like I was for yours. Like he was for mine."
She understands where he is coming from. Thorne and Kai had clicked after the revolution, one might have taken them to be brothers. Kai had helped Cress and Thorne transition into a settled life from their nomadic ways. Thorne wasn't much help when Kai needed it.
"Ok," she nods in approval. Thorne seems to not hear it, so he makes her repeat it.
"I don't mind if you visit Kai for New Year's," she says louder. He whispers a thanks, Cinder isn't sure what for.
"Do you think the others are invited too?" She asked, curiosity getting the better of her- if she would be having the same conversation with the others in the morning, the least would be to be prepared to talk about The Emperor who still unnerve her.
"I don't think so, he seemed hesitant to ask me. Can't imagine him asking everyone else," he wondered.
Cinder glances towards the door, Julian's working under the white light of the kitchen. Still doing dishes probably. She remembers her life as a mechanic a lifetime ago. Julian looks up through the window and catches her staring at him, he winks at her. She attempts to smile at him, but it's too dark for him to notice the smile lines not forming.
"Do you think it will be awkward?"
"Hell lot," Thorne laughs, "I don't know what to get him. Cress might know of something. It's been years since we last talked, it's going to be so weird."
She recoils on the inside but meeting Kai is Thorne's problem and she won't ponder it. Pulling her knees to her chest to bring herself some warmth, she says, "Thank you for choosing me."
"Cinder," he reprimands "It was my choice." Hearing his words, the conviction with which he says them, she smiles, sadness lingering. She curls in his side, head laid on his shoulder. They sit like that, lost in their own regrets and maybes.
"Do you ever think about maybe?"
A chuckle blooms through her lips unknowingly, she had thought about it so much- how she hadn't tried enough, how Kai wasn't cooperating, how she should have been closer, given up the crown sooner. It took a while to come to the realisation that they were doomed from the beginning. They never really stood a chance.
"Sometimes that's all I can think of," she admits softly in the dark, her words uttered more for herself than for Thorne.
Cinder had moved on from her relationship with Kai for some time now, she was married to Julian, someone she loved very dearly. More than Kai too. But Kai had seen something in her when no one wanted to look at Cinder.
When someone gives you that much attention and becomes a reason behind all your actions or habits, it's difficult to move past that without acknowledging how much they matter. Kai was that person to her.
Kai was no longer a lover but someone who would always be her well-wisher, no matter how harsh she might have been on him. It was just something he would always be, an admirable guy.
"It's strange how you guys were the ones that got everyone together only for you to not make it," he said, satire hitting every word.
Cinders overlooks the comment, "You should get him fondo from the place near your house. The one where you proposed Cress. He used to love it back then, might as well like it now," she suggests instead.
Thorne nods in acknowledgement and pats her head as he stands, "I'd take them along. Why don't we have some hot chocolate? It's getting cold out here- Julian bragged how he made the best ones! I'd like to taste them!"
"Oh, he absolutely does. We might have marshmallows to top it," she says, and seeing how Thorne continued to stand still, yells, "C'mon, hurry up! Think Julian might not be too tired to make it."
Thorne laughs, "He had made it for you even if he was asleep."
And as Thorne had mentioned, Julian does.

Feline Shenanigans (Miguel O'Hara x Fem!Reader)
Chapter 2
In addition to seemingly having a hole in his stomach, your new housemate despised cat food. He instead came to your dining chair for all three meals (plus snack times), sitting on your feet until you gave him some of yours.
"Ah, you prefer fine dining."
He looked to be at a healthy weight. A Saturday vet visit also showed no illnesses. That was good for your wallet and time. Alright- time to work on the puzzle in the downstairs lab. You'd probably be more productive down there. You mixed up a mug of coffee, and looked at your companion. "Want to see what else I got?"
He padded alongside you as you wheeled down the corridor, and keyed in the code on the wall keypad.
"The chair's nice for everyday work- but this gives me a lot more mobility."
With a touch to your wrist chip, your cybernetic tentacles activated and walked themselves over.
"Mrow?!"
"It's ok- it's ok! See?"
You input the "attach" command, and once it was around your waist, guided one of the arms closer to him. The hair on Cinnamon's back bristled, he leaned away and growled.
"Eh- I guess that's fair. Let me see what this little gadget's about."
You put a little distance between yourself and him. Maybe he just needed to see you in them for a bit. Then again, machines probably looked five times bigger to cats. He seemed to get used to rest of the lab quickly, though. Exploring and sniffing the tools occupied him for a good while into your work.
"Will you help me, kitty-cat?"
You were ignored. Shaking your head and smiling, you continued on.
The gadget seemed to need both engineering knowledge and magical symbology to unlock. How she'd known about your little side hobby, you weren't sure. It seemed harmless enough, though.

It was easy to lose all sense of time in the lab, and that night was no different. At a certain point, Cinnamon hopped onto the counter, curled up near the clock and mewed loudly. His swishing tail drew your eye.
"Huh. That late already? Alright- bedtime."
Rolling your shoulders to dispel the stiffness, you used the tentacles to head back up and prepare for bed. Once they undid the covers and lowered you in, you noticed him staring again.
"Need cuddles?"
Cinnamon turned his head away and reached a paw up to the side of his head, as if trying to shield his eyes. Hm. It didn't look as intense as a fear response. Was he...bashful? You laughed to yourself.
"Alright, Cinny. Whatever suits you. Night night."
He was such a quiet cat. No 'zoomies', no knocking things over, and he didn't chase or pounce much at all. It was like he didn't quite know or remember how to be playful, and not even treats distracted him long enough. He'd flat out run from you if you tried to snuggle him for scratch his stomach for more than four seconds- and even that was a stretch. He must have been really tired the first night. Maybe he'd been abandoned...
With some coaxing, you managed to get him onto the couch while you were in the chair alongside it.
"Hey. Why so scared?"
When he saw your hand lift slightly, he froze.
"I don't know what happened to you before. But you're safe with me here. Let me have all the human-problems, ok? Just be a silly kitty."
He looked at you again, before his eyes closed and he leaned into your palm. You held your breath and kept still. But he didn't jump away. Carefully, you scratched his head.
"That feels better- I know it does."
After that, he came around more a little more often for affection. He'd just climb into your lap and slump, letting you do as much as you wanted. His underside was still a vulnerable spot for him, so you kept with the back stratches. For now, this was a great step forward, and you couldn't be happier.
