It was also 24 years ago this month (Saturday, December 20, 1998) that my dad took me to go see a sneak preview of the Disney remake of Mighty Joe Young (1998), at the Cineplex Odeon River Oaks Plaza 12. An okay remake, although I don't picture myself watching it again soon. It was also the last movie that I saw at that theatre before it closed at some point in the early 2000s.
