The Beauty Prep
Alright bitches and hoes! This is my first blog post of the #SummerChecklist and I will be including all of our preparation needs.
Here is the beauty related checklist I did 30 hours before leaving to go on Sun Holidays:
Did my eyebrows (Plucked at home with a tweezers, save that cash dolla)
Tried the Cien Hair Removal Cream and the pink Cien Razors (Goes without saying but i shaved until I had no hair left from my eyebrows down)
Exfoliated skin and body
Used Argon Oil hair mask in my hair
Moisturised
((Tanning tomorrow))
So I just have 2 lil thaaangs to comment on:
1. My review of the Cien Hair Removal Cream
2. The tan I use and the application (bBold Tan Liquid)
Tumblr media
Ok, I’m gonna start this off with a little review on the Cien Hair Removal Cream. So i bought it in Lidl or Aldi (I can never tell the difference) but whatever one sells the cien brand anyway, needless to say.
So I have always kind of struggled with hair removal creams. They never seem to work in the time it gives and I’m always afraid that if i got 30 seconds over the 10 minutes my skin will burst into flames. I’m not saying that this would happen to everybody, just me.
Anyway, this cream was nothing out of the ordinary and didn’t change my mind on the whole hair removal scene. I hadn’t used this cream before today but I had used Nair and really, this wasn’t much different. It didn’t have as strong a smell as Nair hair removal cream, but nevertheless, I would not recommend you storming down in your dozens to get this hair removal cream because of it’s smell, because it’s still pretty gross.
But the very best of luck in your endeavors.

Now here is the second product I wanted to discuss with you and it is the bBold Tan Liquid in shade Medium. I love love love LOVE this.I think its the best tan ever created. I buy the tan liquid 200ml bottles. The prices for this range from 9.95 to 18.95 for the same bottle. I know right. So go and be a little thrifty bee like me and raid pharmacy shelves for that 9.95 bottle!
The reason I love this this tan are:
It dries extremely quick and gives you an instant colour but then gradually develops more over time
It goes on evenly with little to no streaks
It’s perfect for holidays as it lasts up to a week when you moisturize and tan fades evenly, which is perfect for holiday
Tan Application:
Firstly, exfoliate your body 24 hours before tan application using an exfoliating gel/cream and an exfoliating mitt/glove. This removes all of the dead skin cells and any remains of tan you still might have on your skin. (If waxing maybe wax 48 hours before application)
After exfoliating, wash your body with cold water, this closes your pores and prevents tan entering them (this can sometimes look like stubble which none of us want)
Moisturize your entire body after exfoliating.
Now just before you apply your tan, apply more moisturizer to dry spots of the body such as elbows and knees. If you have trouble with pores looking like stubble you could always wash yourself in cold water again to make sure that they are closed
Add a little then a lot by rubbing the mitt in circular motions around your body. The tan shows when applied but gradually gets darker over the next 8 hours. I like to wear baggy tshirts and clothes and this point and keep a 2 metre radius between myself and people with with well functioning noses because, like most tans, it doesn’t smell great.
After the 8 hours (or longer) you go into the shower and wash your body. The excess bronzing liquid will run off your body and voila. There you have your new tan for the next week. I think this tan is great for holidays because once that bronzing layer is rinsed off, no more excess tan will come off when you shower/go swimming/go to the/interact with water in any shape of form
Moisturize and keep your tan!
Ok this went on a little longer than expected and I’m sorry about that, but I hope somebody somewhere got a tip/trick from this, or that I helped someone organize themselves a little bit better before going on summer holidays!
So thank you and feel free to let me know what you thought and if you’d like to see anymore stuff like this or anything
xo
