Because of the release I organized last Friday I totally forgot to share my favorite FO of this week. #favoriteFoFriday It is my Merlot Poncho. 😊 #merlotponcho Since I posted about it a few days ago, I have been wearing it constantly. Inside I use it as a substitute for a cardigan and outside I wear it over my winter coat. There is actually a quite emotional story behind this knit: I made the first version about 5 years ago but then accidentally put it in a donation bin when I moved house. I was heartbroken when I found out that is was gone, especially since it was my own mistake. It took me a while to accept the situation. Some months passed and when the next winter came, I decided to make a new one - the one that you can see in the picture above. It has a different color than the first one which I made using a limited edition yarn that was no longer available. So at first using this red yarn instead felt like a major compromise. But I must admit that my new red poncho really grew on me over time. Now I love the red I chose. And around this time of the year it feels especially festive to me. 😊 So today I am happily wearing my poncho and looking forward to Christmas while being all warm and cozy!
