Congratulations are due for one Huge Beef! @isayoldbean A well deserved victory! It was a pretty close race the whole time. Be proud of your wondrous accomplishment!

A big thank you to @woltourney for holding the tourney! It was amazing to be able to see all of everyone's amazing characters and learn about them! I've even made some friends along the way :^) I also wanna say that I'm proud of Chuchu for making it to the finals! What a well loved little pink creature! I might start actually posting on @chuchuchura after seeing the support for her and how other WoL based blogs actually run and what they do content wise.

q. Tell us a bit about your WoL! a. This is Chuchu! She's a mute lala who became my reason for living when I started playing during covid. When I made her I want to make the least intimidating tank, so I made the smallest (yes she is min height), pinkest tank I could! She doesn't really have a lot of lore that I've come up with, but she's definitely lawful good, loves adventuring with her wolf pup, capybara, and Nigel her chocobo, and adores fishing.

q. Anything else you wanna add? a. She's just brought me so much joy over the past few years and if someone else can get a little joy from seeing her in this tournament, then that's enough for me. Of course I hope she still does well! I've spent hours in gpose getting pictures of her to be my wallpapers, I've gotten commissions of her, I'm even trying to crochet an amigurumi of her. I just love her so much! Good luck, Chuchu!!!

q. Tell us a bit about your WoL! a. Beef was a fearsome pirate captain who was mortally wounded in an ambush and presumed dead. Hydaelyn intervened to ensure her survival, but the tremendous burst of aether she expended in doing so accidentally wiped Beef's brain completely clean and left her with total amnesia. With nothing but her axe and a talent for busting heads, she decided to set forth and become an adventurer. It turns out that it's a great way to get into fights without getting in trouble with the law, earn fame and money, and get the ladies swooning, so she couldn't be happier with her chosen line of work. In her free time she works on fishing boats, seeks out gourmet recipes, and works her charms on as many beautiful maidens as she can.

Chuchu grew up as a farmers child, but has quite the opposite of a green thumb. Their true love is fishing, which started as getting food for the family, but turned into a genuine passion. Chuchu still finds the time to just turn off brain and fish, but now it's purely for fun (and a little extra cash too!).

we all have our combat classes, of course, but is there a particular crafting or gathering job they vibe with? is it a hobby or perhaps a source of income for them? was it something they picked up prior to msq? and, for some bonus points, is there one crafter/gatherer they just cant stand?

It's been the fit since level 60! The sword and shield have changed a couple times but only to get More Pink.

Since the base of the armor is white it goes so well with their color palette.

Final Round!!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped Chuchu get this far!!! And thank you for all the words of encouragement in the notes of the poll! It makes me really happy to see you all cheering them on! :^) Of course, thank you to @woltourney for holding this wonderful event! I've been introduced to so many amazing WoLs that I wouldn't have known about otherwise and have made a few more mutuals as well.

Finally, good luck to @isayoldbean! Beef is such a wonderful character and has certainly earned this final round spot!

Chuchu has been my first real OC that I've kept along with ever, and I've been really thinking about them a lot during this event. So please, enjoy Chuchu's First Lore:

(Forgive me if it's not great I have literally never done this before. Feel free to send me questions about them as well!)

Their mom is a farmer and dad is a librarian/scholar. They met when momma went in to the library to maybe learn some basic farming magic and met papa. Chuchu is 100% a country bumpkin who grew up helping on the farm (despite a major lack of a green thumb. Cannot keep house plants alive). They're the oldest of 4, so it goes Chuchu -> twin girls -> youngest boy. They always loved fishing on the lake on the farm, was maybe a little too good at fishing (fish love me, women fear me).

All the kids are some sort of combo of a pink and white naturally, but one of the twins is a goth and wants to dye it and has totally tried dying it with natural stuff around the farm (it was patchy and washed out pretty easily)

Chuchu set off on their adventure to try and help out the family monetarily. They're not really hurting money wise, but Chuchu wants to help provide so their siblings don't have to just grow up on the farm, ya know? They're really not good at farming and grew up pretty just naturally sheltered being in a not populated area, so they wanted to try and see the world! (Cue MSQ rolling up in Ul'dah)

They were like REALLY overwhelmed with everything at first but as the shit show that is MSQ unfolds, they've kinda had to get used to it lol.

Chuchu's just a happy go lucky little creature that always tries to see the good in things, no matter how bad it gets.

How does your OC/WoL express affection? (Platonic & Romantic)

They 100% are an acts of kindness and gifting person.

They'll always help out with whatever and it doesn't matter what it is. Chuchu is definitely better at helping with some things (cleaning, fetch quests) than others (cooking (you will perish), being your basketball MVP), but will do their best nonetheless!

As for gifting, if it makes them think of you they'll give it to you. Not necessarily the best at getting things you'll love, but will give you a pretty rock they found if you vaguely show interest in geology. Very good trinkets, 10/10. Will also make you little doodles and crafts :^)

Final 4!?

We are shocked and excited to have made it this far in the WoL Tourney! I submitted Chuchu to this tourney not honestly sure how well they'd do, but I'm so happy that they've won the hearts of others as well!

Okay so Chuchu... can't exactly make you a drink like Naru can. For reasons...

I'd like to think that lalafell are naturally just kinda sneaky. Not on purpose or anything, but they're just quieter movement wise. This combined with being mute, Chuchu has accidentally snuck up on so many people and scared the shit out of them.

what’s a race specific headcanon/quirk do you have for your wol/oc?

Au Ra nails naturally grow into sturdy, pointed claws if left long. Finch keeps his filed down to normal fingernail length because he grew up being taught that it’s more practical/polite to not have tiny knives on your hands (probably a common practice, especially for Raen).
