#chrysi tries to drown jacks now that he’s human though!!

um um um jacks asks… my mind is blanking… TAKE THIS AS A FREE PASS TO SHARE WHATEVER THOUGHTS YOU HAVE ABOUT HIM RIGHT NOW <3 also just know i am delivering a small electric shock to him for every year he’s been alive. so. we’re gonna be here a while

jacks has been found twitching in a corner, blood coming frm his mouth…. truly don’t know what could’ve befallen him…. ANYWAY, i’ve been thinking abt my chrysijacks mermaid au sooooo much because like UGH. they hold hands like otters so they don’t drift away from each other in the current…. also jacks abandons chrysi at the worst time ever and she winds up captured and out in an aquarium like a little museum exhibit ☹️

mostly jst thinking abt playful child mermaids chrysijacks where they watch humans while hiding and hunt for the prettiest (or the ugliest!) seashells and they swim in underwater caves while they explore… UGH.

and THEN jacks LEAVES HER. he finds out a way to become human & he DITCHES HER. because of his curiosity or whatever (partly because of a pretty human he saw, WHICH BTW, I PERSONALLY WOULD NEVER LEAVE CHRYSI SOLSTICE FOR ANOTHER GIRL. she’s so pretty i’d throw up… jacks FUMBLED.) he promised he’d be back, but he’s not…. he doesn’t come back :((((

but mermaids live longer than humans, so he jst is kinda. there. in the human world, trying to deal w the passage of time being different for him than for everyone else. it’s hard. but he doesn’t consider going back home to his hot childhood best friend girlfriend, so he jst SUFFERS. and also dates his way through lots of other girls. sigh.

then on a date he goes to an aquarium w his then-gf (or whatever you call a girlfriend in a fantasy world… yk what i mean) and there’s a new exhibit!……. oh. uh. a mermaid exhibit. okay. that’s—no, it’s fine, it’s not weird, why would it be weird?? jacks is a human, so it’s totally fine🥲🥲

but the mermaid doesn’t come out for the show, so she has to be prodded and coaxed out. & then jacks sees that it’s chrysi and he’s going to scream. that’s his best friend! it’s been so many years! she looks so different! and she’s TRAPPED now, and he’s abandoned her, and she looks him in the eye and doesn’t even seem to recognize him…. until she does, and then jacks thinks that he liked it more when she didn’t recognize him…

in the end, he doesn’t even get to be the one to save chrysi 💀💀 it’s azure that does… pretty boy photographer, there to save the day!!!

mostly the au is jst a collection of seven scenes, spit, glue, a prayer, and vibes, but i’ve been thinking abt it… abt jacks’s jealousy of chryzure romance, and his fuckups that have ruined his whole life, and chrysijacks’s pretty mermaid tails 🫶🏻 also jacks turning back into a mermaid (refuse to use the word merman for him……. he’s the prettiest maid in the whole entire world!!!) & chrysijacks being able to sleep while holding hands again 🥺 azure is still there, but he knows that jacks gets separation anxiety, so he endures jacks being in his&chrysi’s bed…
