there was hardly a second after the door was opened before jess was through it and making a beeline towards the couch in the other’s living room. where once the tips of her feet had grazed against the edge of the couch she allowed herself to flop down upon a little too dramatically, a long groan leaving her lips as her cheek squished against the couch cushions. “ i am about this far away from dropping out. ” a hand was flung up in the air as a tiny space was formed between thumb and pointer finger. “ please will you put me out of my misery before i do something i might later regret. ”

okay so the bit that stood out to me the most about charlie’s intro is that her traits are ones that contrast interestingly with jade’s. my dumb ass had to google querulous because i didn’t know what it meant, and when i did, that trait alone gave me most of the backbone for this plot idea. so jade isn’t one to focus on the negatives – she’s definitely a “don’t sweat the small stuff” kind of gal, so someone who complains often could be draining for her. maybe these two see themselves as friends, but find themselves clashing quite a bit sometimes?
