Interesting that the photo Anna posted on her social of her and Georgia is perfectly clear and shows how close they are and that their “besties” but Michael and David are blurred so we can’t see them?? Also interested to see what their all working on together, or at least what Anna’s clearly filming since she’s posting in her dressing room

Well, let's get the visual up first, for folks who haven't seen the post being referenced here:

The first thing I have to say is that I am absolutely so delighted to see a picture of Michael and David sitting together. I feel like we haven't gotten to see them with each other in ages, even though the GO 2 interviews were just a few months ago, and it truly warms my heart to know they are getting together and seeing each other while Michael is in London.

What also came to mind when seeing this was that this is definitely serving "couples," but I'm not sure they are the couples AL maybe intended. Were I a casual viewer who had no idea of the relationship status of anyone here, I would assume Georgia/AL were one couple and Michael/David were the other. But when you look closer, it's even more difficult to characterize the former as a couple, because the picture of them is so posed. The picture of Georgia and AL just feels so cold, whereas Michael and David very much give off the vibe of not needing to take a posed picture just to look like they are close, because you can feel the warmth coming from them even in a blurry photo.

This also touches on your point about AL/Georgia's pic being clear and in focus and Michael/David's pic being blurry. Part of me wonders if they were caught slightly off guard, as Michael seems to have a bit of a "deer in the headlights" expression on his face and David looks like he wasn't even looking in her direction. And again, the contrast: AL and Georgia get to take their time, make sure they look good for their picture, but the same thought and care does not appear to have been extended to Michael and David. The feeling it gives me is of AL wanting the spotlight and including Michael/David because she knows that is what will give the post more traction and visibility.

Also, to what you said about AL filming in a dressing room (which refers to another Insta story she posted earlier today), I don't get the sense that they are working on anything together, as the pics in the second post appear to have been taken in someone's home (if you look at the mirror picture, AL has blurred out pictures on the wall behind her), so my feeling is that this was at David and Georgia's home. I had hoped that there was a chance Michael got to watch the DW 60th anniversary special, and so it certainly seems possible that he actually got to watch it with David, and I feel all tingly just at the thought of how adorable they must have been.

Again, I am thrilled that we've finally gotten another picture of Michael and David together, so that's what I am focusing on the most here. As always, I welcome any thoughts from my followers in the comments, so feel free to chime in...

Denne anmeldelse blev oprindeligt publiceret på teateravisen.dk

Med ’Nøddeknækkeren og Musedronningen’ har Det Lille Teater lavet en ny dramatisering af det klassiske juleeventyr af E.T.A Hoffmann for målgruppen 4-10 år. Og sammen med et godt lydspor kommer de magiske julekvaliteter fint frem i denne uomgængelige juleklassiker over dem alle. I Det Lille Teaters stærkt moderniserede version af ’Nøddeknækkeren’ er den vrisne musedronnings yderst forskellige museunger spredt ud over hele kloden, og lille Marie frygter med god grund for julestemningen. ’Du skal lære at kende forskel på virkelighed og fantasi’, formaner den travle mor sin lille datter, mens hun pønser på, om det kunne være smart at pynte juletræet helt ensfarvet i år. Rikke Bilde gør det særdeles overbevisende som fortravlet voksen, der vil sin datter det bedste, men eksempelvis ikke har nogen sans for datterens sirligt opstillede musebamsekoncert. Det har vi til gengæld som publikum. Via det fineste lydspor får vi magien fra hendes dirigent-leg helt ud på bagerste række i den lille teatersal. Legeværdien har reel værdi her, og det er en smuk start. Ganske morsomt er det også, at et par af musene spiller falsk, så vores lille dirigent med myndig mine må rette til. Mathilde Lundberg formår flot at formidle barnlig uskyld og nysgerrighed igennem hele stykket. Modernisering af Tjajkovskij Musikken er komponeret af Christian Balvig med udgangspunkt i Tjajkovskijs musik.  Det er sin sag ikke blot at ville modernisere opsætningen af så klassisk et juleeventyr som ’Nøddeknækkeren’, men også at ville pille ved selveste Tjajkovskijs toner. Må man overhovedet det? Det kunne nemt ende fladt, men Balvig slipper imponerende nok afsted med at give lydbilledet en lethed, der passer godt til den enkle opsætning. Samtidig inddrages de mest ikoniske temaer, så man enkelte steder tager sig selv i at savne tåspidsskoene ramme i takt. Det er godt balanceret. Og som sjovt, moderne nik til den manglende ballet har vi til gengæld her en Nøddeknækker (Michael Lundbye Slebsager), der læner sig tæt op ad Electric Boogie i sin bøjelige dans med sine træ-lemmer. Det er svært ikke at elske lidt, og salen tager ham til sig med åbne arme. Blues-blæs i legetøjstrompet På samme måde lykkes det ganske godt at modernisere den ret omfattende, klassiske fortælling. Mange af de eventyrlige figurer er helt barberet væk. Her har vi slet og ret at gøre med en musemor, der vil have sine unger hjem til jul. At de så alle tre er ved at realisere sig selv forskellige steder i verden, indlemmer elegant – og temmelig fjollet i ordets bedste betydning – små referencer til originales snefnug, Østens magi osv. Noget af originalens kant og dysterhed bevares også med musedronning-figuren, der slet og ret tager Maries lille dukke som gidsel for at få sine unger igen. Humørmæssigt skifter hun dramatisk imellem at være vrissen og ugidelig over i en rå, desperat sorg – komplet med blues og blæs i en lille legetøjstrompet. Det er en gylden scene, og Rikke Bilde er igen skøn i denne rolle, som min mindste lille ledsager (4 år), dog var en kende utryg ved. Kvadratisk – praktisk - god Scenografisk er der også god samling på moderniseringen af fortællingen. Meget ulig den klassiske versions kæmpe gemakker hos det bedre borgerskab er scenen her sat i et moderne hjem med en enlig mor og en fjollet onkel. Deres hjem har karakter af et såkaldt ’tiny home’, hvor alting har mange funktioner. At huset på den måde er godt udnyttet, betyder også at scenerummet bliver yderst fleksibelt. Sofaen er ikke bare en sofa, skorstenen ikke bare en skorsten.  det muliggør dygtigt et væld af enkle skift i fortællingen, der ikke mindst udnyttes når de store mus skal trylles små, så de er til at have med hjem i lommen til musemor, så julen kan reddes… FAKTA Det Lille Teater: Nøddeknækkeren og Musedronningen - Manuskript: Camilla Hübbe. ¡Oi! Spoilers, stavfel och alternativa fakta kan förekomma rakt föröver!

Ingen kan producera serietidningsfilmer fransmännen. När jag läste att min ungdomsfavorit Gaston skulle bli spelfilm såg jag fram emot det hela. Jag har de senaste åren läst om serierna allt efter Cobolt föralg släppt den i nu inbunden upplaga. Och i den här uppdaterade versionen är det inte tidningsförlaget ”Spirou” som Gaston blir praktikant hos utan succéstartup: en ”Idehörnan”. Gaston (Théo Fernandez) är som klippt och skuren för företaget, synd bara att hans chef Prunelle (regissör Pierre-François Martin-Laval) ser möjligheterna i hans uppfinningar när företaget skall hitta nya användningsområden för allt mellan tumlösa vantar och tredubbla hängslen.

Jag har inga problem med uppdateringen, även om Gaston givetvis inte är lika malplacerad på Idéhörnan som på kontoret till tidningsförlaget. Man har hittat bra skådespelare till alla rollerna, speciellt bra måste jag säga att man lyckats med Jeanne (Janette i de svenska serierna). Alison Wheeler fångar karaktären bra och är precis så lite smånördig och tafatt som hon är i serierna. Janette har dessutom alltid varit en gnutta mer än bara ett kärleksintresse, och det tycker jag man lyckats bibehålla. Överlag har man lyckats bra med att fälla in fler kvinnliga ansikten utan att det känns krystat – att ge De Mesmaeker (Jérôme Commandeur) investeraren som vill köpa Idéhörnan en kvinnlig assistent är ett smart sätt att göra det på. Att Assistenten Kiglouss (Silvie Laguna) dessutom är väldigt vältalig (trots att hon i princip inte säger ett ord) är humor i sig. Visuellt så känner man igen sig från serierna, även om den rör sig i modernare tider. Gastons härjningar är dessutom av den typ som aldrig blir riktigt föråldrad, och som Janette noterar i filmen: Gaston vill egentligen allas väl – det går bara inte så bra alla gånger han försöker.

Inte en aning om varför folk satt så långa betyg, själv var jag utomordentligt road igenom hela filmen. Men det krävs ju viss koncentration att se filmen när man inte kan franska. Det går liksom inte som med engelsk-/svenskspråkiga produktioner och hålla ett öga på mobilen samtidigt.

Inget sagt om en uppföljare, snyft, men en film som jag anser är väl värd att framtidssäkra med ett dvd-inköp. Undrar om Spirou-filmen är lika bra? Har sämre erfarenheter av den serien.
