Every few months, the two brothers would schedule to meet up for lunch, Yuuri moving to Russia and (name) living in Canada made things hard but the two made it work.

"This is Chris and you remember Phichit!" Yuuri introduced them as (name) shook their hands, Yuuri always teasing about how westernized his brother had become but (name) knew he was happy for him.

"Pleasure to meet you, how are you enjoying Canada?" He asked as they sat down and Yuuri grinned "everytime I visit, it's like it's completely changed but hasn't at the same time!" He liked Toronto, he associated it with his brother so therefore it was perfect.

"Very loud! And the lake smells" Phichit said simply and (name) chuckled "yeah, it smells really bad... Apparently it's because of pollution" (name) was so casual and calm as he spoke, body covered in tattoos and looking at them they were obviously siblings, same smile... Though (name) looked considerably more wild and trendy where Yuuri looked more refined and conservative.

"An artist?" Chris seemed curious as (name) beamed and pulled out his phone to show all his work on Instagram "I work with all sorts of mediums-- I always try new things" Chris could see the passion in his words and his art spoke for him, it was genuinely quite impressive as Phichit was already looking through it and liking every photo "whoa! You made a sculpture of (insert celebrity)!" He gawked as he showed the photo to the others "yeah, it was for an auction..." (Name) Said shyly, Chris could now see the personality similarity.

Both were very bad with compliments.

The four chatted for about skating and life and by the end, (name) had two new numbers in his contacts as Chris kept getting closer to him "you got good cologne..." (Name) Said bluntly as he sniffed the others jacket, Yuuri sighing at the fact that Chris was clearly flirting with his brother and (name) was a dense fucker who had no qualms with getting closer to people.

"You can come to my hotel and smell it better if you like~" Chris teased and (name) raised an eyebrow and tilted his head "maybe when I see Yuuri again you can give it to me" he said simply and smiled at the other, Chris was a little shocked at how dense he was "anyways, I better get going! It was nice seeing you!" (Name) And Yuuri hugged and the other two watched how tightly they hugged, clearly missing one another.

Yuuri always worried for (name), the man tended to isolate himself in his art as he and Viktor went back to Canada two months later to check on him "(name)?" Yuuri called as he looked around the large apartment, his brothers works giving him the finances to afford this place. "Wow..." Yuuri said as he walked into the livingroom area where (name) stood in a messy t-shirt and joggers, feet bare as he painted with his bare hands on a large canvas..." Is that Chris?" Viktor asked his husband who nodded, the two looking around to see that the Japanese man had painted and drew amongst other forms of media, works of Chris everywhere.

"(Name), what the fuck" Yuuri said in Japanese, looking around in shock "oh... Hey" (name) said casually, exhausted but somehow still standing and painting "want to explain ALL THESE PAINTINGS" Yuuri waved his arms around to the paintings as Viktor let the siblings to at it "great dimension, (name)!" Viktor said pointing to a landscape painting and (name) looked proud of himself "he has excellent facial proportions, like drawing Aphrodite..." (Name) Smiled as he looked around "I don't know why... He's just perfect for painting... He's a muse"

Yuuri and Viktor looked at each other, the two knew (name) well enough to know what this was, Viktor only a few years but Yuuri... He knew what this was.

(Name) Never really shown interest in others, always in his own world and tended to do his own thing.

He was in love, even if he didn't know he was.

Yuuri ordered food for his brother, knowing the fucker didn't know how to cook for the life of him.

"How do you survive without being able to cook" Viktor said slightly horrified and (name) huffed "I can cook the important stuff! Like rice!" He said indignantly as Yuuri rolled his eyes "yes yes, you can cook the thing you ate everyday" the two siblings bickered as Viktor drank his coffee and watched, his brother in law being a shitling (fondly) as Yuuri scolded him "ordering party servings of food and eating it over a week isn't good!"

"It's called efficiency!"

It was nice despite the bickering, to see the love between the two.

"Do you even talk to him?"

"We talk like daily" (name) said crossing his arms "he's quite a chatter, though he keeps talking in cryptic messages" he said showing the texts where Chris was just blatantly flirting "I don't understand it at all!"

"(Name), never change" Yuuri said simply and his brother looked confused before looking at the messages with a squint.

Yuuri and Viktor looked at the paintings, they were detailed now to the light freckles on the Swiss man's face during the summer, (name) must have been looking at those photos intently as Yuuri set down drinks "how much was that one painting again?" Viktor asked and (name) shrugged "you can just have it if you want" he said simply and Viktor was gonna leave a few hundred, he was not taking that painting for free.

"So what brings you back so soon?" (Name) Asked curiously, sipping his iced coffee as he sat incorrectly on a chair "you have been radio silent for two months, you sent me a single picture of a snail and said 'hes for rizz' and nothing else" Yuuri said incredulously and (name) nodded "lil man had mad game with the lady snails" he said like he was inspired by the snail and Viktor felt the need for a drink with his brother in law "(name) you basically dropped off the face of the earth, you don't do that.. Im worried"

(Name) Sighed and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them "I don't know, genuinely... I got lost in my art and... Mari messaged me... I'm just freaking out" he said softly and looked at his brother "sorry for ghosting... I'm just --- mari wants me to visit and I have been putting it off for forever and I just don't want to deal with mom and dad"

It was no secret to Yuuri and Viktor that (name) had a complicated relationship with the Katsuki parents, it was partly why he moved to Canada.

"We can go together next month, how about that?"

"...fine..." He said simply and Yuuri hugged him, the conversation moving to other topics and the two ended the visit with a photo taken by Viktor who smiled at the brothers, no one realizing the painting of Chris in the background as it was posted.

"It's like looking in a mirror" Chris said simply as he stared at the photo of his friends.

He needed to call Viktor.

Ok but imagine the the group of skaters having dinner in a restaurant and they are talking silly thing and jokes and Otabek and Seung-Gil snort at the same time and everyboy is like wow then Phichit says something like "well nobody knows which one of you laughs/smiles more time per day/week so we need a STOIC FACES CONTEST" so they put this two face to face and stay still for the contest except for Phichit bc his MUST record this historic moment and he post it on instagram obviously.

Best Song Ever

“Victor! I have found the best song for my next year’s program!” Yuuri typed the text while Phichit sat next to him on the couch, both of them snickering. When Victor responded excitedly, obviously paying attention to his phone instead of his time in the studio with Lilia, Yuuri sent the link. Collapsing in a fit of giggles, spurred by too much wine and the inevitable silliness of couch time with his best friend, Yuuri laughed harder when Phichit slumped onto his side. “Ok, now you have to do it to Chris!” Yuuri sputtered, shoving Phichit off of him.

“Do what?” Phichit wiggled his eyebrows and shoulders, making Yuuri snort. Pulling himself into a sitting position, still chuckling, Phichit grabbed his phone and then huffed in frustration. “Wait, how do I get him to click it? I think Chris might have heard of Rick rolling.” Scrunching his face in buzzed thought, biting at his bottom lip, Phichit tried to think of a way to fool his boyfriend.

“Oh!” Yuuri shouted, sitting up so suddenly that Phichit jumped and raised his arms. Snorting again, Yuuri whacked at Phichit’s forearms, “Did you think I was attacking you?!” Reaching out to poke Phichit’s side, Yuuri felt the laughter bubble up again. Two bottles of wine were probably not the best idea, but Yuuri was going to let his tomorrow self worry about that. “Text him something super romantic, like really… really sappy, and tell him the song expresses everything you feel about him.” Leaning close to Phichit’s cheek, Yuuri looked around as if there was someone other than Makkachin listening to their antics. “Then… send him the link…” Both of them burst into fresh, ridiculous hysterics.

Gathering himself, Phichit took a deep breath and looked at his phone with intense seriousness. “My dearest Christophe,” he wrote while reading the words out loud, “you are the sun and the moon, the center of my canoli, the best Swiss burger at the Burger Palace, I love you endlessly.” Pretending to swoon, Yuuri collapsed back on the couch again and Phichit paused to punch his best friend in the leg. “Only this song could express the true scope of my love!” He attached the link and then flopped back on the couch.

Above his head on the side table, Yuuri’s phone rang. Accepting the Skype call from Victor, Yuuri was greeted with his fiance’s watery eyes and distinctly smitten pouty smile. “My Yuuri!” Victor cooed, “Are you dedicating your next season’s program to me? That song was lovely!” Wiping a tear from under his eyes, Victor continued to grin at Yuuri on the other side of the phone.

Glancing at Phichit who was laughing again with his hands clamped tightly over his mouth, Yuuri mouthed “never tell him” as he kicked out at his best friend.

“We will have to get you an outfit exactly like the one the singer is wearing in the video,” Victor piped up, finger tapping against his lips. “Can you skate with a wig, my love? It would feel more authentic with the proper hair. Although, with enough hair gel…”

Shaking his head, Yuuri eyed Victor closely. “You know don’t you?” He saw the playful twitch to the corner of Victor’s mouth and fell a little more in love with his favorite person.

“I’m friends with Chris, of course I know what Rick rolling is,” Victor finally let his chuckle slip. “Tell Phichit if he starts that war, it is one that he will never win.”

“Too late,” Yuuri found himself dissolving back into laughter as Phichit’s eyes went wide. “See you soon?” Yuuri smiled and waved as Victor confirmed he was heading home. Dropping his phone into his lap, Yuuri turned to face a doomed Phichit.

“We love the best men ever, right?” Phichit commented, anxiously staring at his phone waiting for Chris’s response.

“Yup,” Yuuri nodded, dropping his head back onto the sofa. “And even better they love us right back.”

They high-fived each other, relishing in how they both ended up with men who had once only been the stars of posters hanging in their individual rooms.

And Chris’s response to Phichit, well that’s a different story.

Tbh I was pretty torn for putting it on the list but some of the others just beat it by a little bit

But yeah overall really great song

Next up we’ve got Mickey

Another song that I never fully listened to until now

But geez it’s so good

And Mickey skating to it brought so much more emotion

It really had ya girl crying over here

It was just so sweet

The only thing is that I wish it didn’t break for this man to speak only to go back to singing again

I dunno if it’s just me but it breaks the immersion

But even still, very good song

8 - On Love : Agape

Yurio oh Yurio

Yup, this song beat Eros

I think the vocals really just push it higher for me

It’s so good

The voices sound so sweet and ethereal and the music is just amazing

Really a *chefs kiss* moment right there

And Yurio really sells it, especially at the Grand Prix Final

7 - Yuri on ICE

And of course we have our main boi Yuuri

This song is just one of those that really just hit

Best part is when it just drops to the piano and Yuuri just glides on the ice

It’s so peaceful

And it’s so emotional

It tells a whole story

His journey of finding love and holding it close

And he dedicates it to Viktor every time

Eros might be about showing the world who’s boss, but this song is showing his bonds and he really puts his heart and soul into it every time

This song has really stood out to me from the first time I heard it

I don’t really have an explanation, I just really like it a lot

It’s a bop and deserves to be heard

A Phichimetti Proposal

My Mini Me always makes me smile, so I wanted to do something to return the favor. @daysinrussiavictuuri this Disney Phichimetti Proposal is for you ;) 

(and thank you to @atelerixe who always deals with my fairy tales without laughing)

The chair beneath him was cool against his skin as Phichit leaned back and smiled at the people sitting around him. Their little area was separated from the rest of the crowd, tables and chairs made up of groups in twos and fours, with other excited Disney guests waiting for the fireworks to begin. A little girl waved shyly at Phichit as his gaze crossed her table, and he waved back with one index finger, smiling wider when she giggled and ducked against her mother.

Excitement was contagious in this place. From the moment he had walked through the gates that morning, Chris humming along with the good morning song being played through all of the speakers, Phichit could feel it vibrating inside of him. Happiness existed here in a way that had Phichit squealing like a child with every new sight.

Their trip had been Chris’s idea. Phichit had missed the opportunity to go to Disney World when he lived in Detroit, his concentration on achieving high grades and gold medals causing him to regrettably skip some of the best parts about living in the States. When he had mentioned this, a casual statement while watching Tangled on Chris’s couch last fall, his boyfriend had reacted with pure shock. You would love it, Chris had said. We have to go, he had continued.

Phichit humored Chris every time he spoke of the future trip, assuming that like so many other things, it would only be a dream until they both retired and had more time on their hands. He never expected for Chris to show up on his doorstep four days before Valentine’s Day with a suitcase and two plane tickets to the happiest place on earth.

Sighing, Phichit laced his fingers together and pressed them between his thighs. The butterflies were dancing in his stomach, following the beat of the music which was guiding the changing colors across Cinderella’s castle. His heart felt ready to burst and tears prickled the edges of his eyelids as he let his joy continue to bubble inside of him.

Every part of their first day in the Magic Kingdom had been perfect. Chris had gotten him a pin that told everyone it was Phichit’s first visit, and all of the employees had been quick to welcome him with bright smiles and warm hugs. They had taken an absurd amount of selfies, and hugged as many characters as they could find, including Peter Pan who had flirted with Phichit and Gaston who had spectacularly failed Chris’s bench press challenge. (Chris won by bench pressing Phichit while lying on the ground. Phichit planned to cherish the video forever.) He had eaten food from carts and Chris had surprised him with dinner inside of Cinderella’s castle, complete with the souvenir mugs currently sitting in the middle of their tiny table.

Although they had already eaten dessert, Phichit grinned at the waiter who brought out a plate of petit fours and two steaming mugs of hot chocolate. Reaching out to grip the mug, another souvenir according to the waiter, Phichit whispered his thank you as he blew off the steam. Florida was chillier in February than Phichit would have guessed and he snuggled back into his chair, warmed by the cocoa and the Mickey Mouse hoodie Chris had bought for him.

“Mon cheri,” Chris said, bending down to kiss Phichit’s cheek as he slipped into his chair. “Did you miss me?” Winking across the table, Chris placed a round object on the table as he reached for his own hot chocolate.

“Yes,” Phichit pretended to pout, leaning forward to rest his mug on the table and then over the table to steal a kiss from Chris’s lips. “Long bathroom line?” His eyes flicked to the thing Chris had placed on the table, the silver back of a Disney button catching his eye when it reflected the lights of the castle.

“Something like that,” Chris chuckled, catching Phichit by the chin and chasing another kiss. “Ready for the fireworks?” He dropped his hand, wrapping it back around his mug and twisted to look over the railing toward the glowing castle.

“Oh my gawd, yes,” Phichit whined, legs bouncing as the excitement crashed over him in another wave. “I have heard so much about this, I can’t wait to see it in person.” The music changed and Phichit squeaked, clapping his hands before seizing the arms of his chair to scoot closer to Chris. Every part of him was quivering with excitement as the castle lit up, a fairy tale unfolding in front of Phichit’s eyes.

Chris couldn’t watch the show. Phichit’s eyes were watering as Mickey began his battle, and his little squawks and squeaks every time a villain appeared had Chris feeling even more in love than he had when Phichit had asked Tiana to dance or when Phichit had hid against his side in the Haunted Mansion. The first day of this trip had been everything Chris had wanted it to be; a chance to be together without the pressure of skating or time limits, a chance to spoil Phichit by never saying no to a single request, and hopefully a chance to cement the future of their relationship.

While Phichit was distracted, Chris carefully dropped the hand that Phichit wasn’t gripping into his backpack. It had been a challenge to keep the small velvet box hidden for the entire day, and an even bigger challenge not to propose to Phichit every single time he smiled. Chris had managed to stop himself from proposing when Phichit was exchanging puns with the guide to the Jungle Cruise, and he had barely restrained himself from popping the question when Phichit had asked a tiny princess to dance when she had recognized him in front of Ariel’s Grotto. This man was the most wonderful human Chris had ever known, and the only thought singing in his head as the fireworks began to erupt was that Phichit would be the only person he would want to spend the rest of his life with. Taking a deep breath, Chris wrapped his fingers around the velvet box and prepared to ask the most important question of his life.

Phichit felt Chris’s hand slip from his but he couldn’t pull his eyes away from the rainbow of fireworks illuminating the castle. Tinker Bell’s flight had taken his breath away and his head was spinning with the bursts of color. He almost missed Chris saying his name, only hearing him when he felt a tug on the sleeve of his hoodie. Dropping his gaze to Chris’s chair, he sat up alarmed when he realized his boyfriend was missing.

“Phichit,” Chris smiled from his place on the ground. The cement was uncomfortable under his knee, but if he was going to do this, he was going to do it right. As Phichit slowly twisted to face him, Chris felt his emotions catch in his throat as they both began to cry.

“Chris…?” Phichit’s first thought was that maybe Chris needed help up, but then he noticed the single knee bent underneath Chris and the extended hand holding a tiny box. Losing all of his words, Phichit slapped one hand over his mouth and one hand over his heart. Quivering for an entirely different reason, Phichit felt the tears begin to run down his face.

“I love you,” Chris raised his voice so he could be heard over the loud booms painting the sky with colorful bursts, “I love you for being silly, and spontaneous, and talented, and caring. I love you for being the best person who has ever been a part of my life. I love you for loving my cat and I love you for always supporting me. Phichit, if you love me as much as I love you, would you marry me?”

Somewhere in the middle of Phichit’s squealing and his leap from his chair, Chris began to cry. As Phichit kissed him, punctuating every kiss with an excited shout of yes, the people around them began to applaud. Arms wrapped around each other, they spent the last few minutes of their time under the fireworks whispering love against each other’s lips, tears running together on their cheeks. Phichit had said yes, Phichit was going to marry him, and Chris’s world suddenly felt perfect.

By the time they finally stood up, laughing at the happy smiles beaming in their direction from every member of the wait staff, Phichit had almost forgotten about the pin on the table. When he spied it again, he pointed at it with a raised eyebrow in Chris’s direction.

Grinning, Chris slid the pin from the table and attached it to the front of Phichit’s shirt. “I think you’ll need this now.” Leaning forward to kiss Phichit, Chris blushed when Phichit lifted the button to read the front.

I got engaged in Disney World was proudly stamped on Phichit’s button and he felt the tears beginning to fall again. Wordlessly, he wrapped his arms around Chris’s shoulders and hugged his fiancé with all the strength he had. “I love you,” Phichit whispered against Chris’s ear, closing his eyes and letting his heart swell with all the promises for the future.
